The Rogues (RP Thread)- HTTYD/Criminal RP (closed)
An amazing idea coming to her head, Paz gave Cops a nudge along with a knowing smirk. Get the lovebird's off the island and some time alone, leave the island without a moral compass for a few days, her and the assasins could get a couple of days to do whatever. Everybody wins!
"I'd volunteer, but I don't know anything about the place-" Copperblaze started, getting cut off by Paz jabbing an elbow into her side. Looking over at Paz indignantly, she noticed the knowing smirk on the other girl's face and silently groaned. Evidently, her secret attraction to Skari wasn't that much of a secret after all.
"Alright then, if you want me to go that badly," she snarked at Paz, purposefully holding her side out of the elbow's reach. Secretly, though, she was happy to be spending more time with Skari- and that butterfly feeling was appearing again. Although with her apparently horrible luck, it probably never was a secret in the first place.
Copperblaze shrugged. "Alright then!" Lots of time... with Skari... alone... with Skari... on a new island... with Skari...
No, she definitely wasn't overthinking it. At all. What could have possibly given that idea?
Hearing Skari's question, she forced her mind onto other subjects. "Well, we could go exploring," she offered. "See more of the islands, maybe the caves. I don't think we're going to be making much progress with the camp today," she said, eyeing the pile of broken sticks. Wait- a pile of broken sticks... "We could build a campfire!"
"Yeah, that sounds good. It's about lunch time, anyway."
As the group headed out, Paz was at the back of them swinging around her axe for practice. In her eyes, she wasn't doing great, but it should be semi-sufficient in case she was being attacked. Attacked by what, she didn't know.
"Maybe Outcasts who try to take us back. Or maybe just random viking, or dragons..."
Then, out of the corner of her eye, Paz noticed a movement in the undergrowth, which made her pause. Raising her axe, she slowly advanced and gave the nearby bush a poke. Not hitting anything solid, she then proceeded to catch up with the rest of the group, hoping that whatever she thought she saw was nothing.
"Well, I'm not a horrible cook, but definitely not as great as you are," Copperblaze told Skari. "I can make bread, though, and my mom made this really good vegetable dish. We might need oil for that, though, I think."
Picking up the stone basket from earlier, noticing that a certain red-and-purple Terribke Terror was taking a nap in it. "Hey, shoo," she said, trying to push him out, but the little dragon wouldn't move. "Oh, alright, you get to stay," she informed him begrudgingly.
"Well, then, come on, guys! Food awaits!" The Vikings and two dragons (apparently Bumbles had decided to follow too) walked through the undergrowth and eventually came to the garden area. Unceremoniously dumping Munch to the ground, Copperblaze immediately set about filling the bowl. Her mouth watered at all the yummy foods, and she really couldn't help herself in eating nearly all of the currently edible fruits and vegetables in the bowl. Stomach satisfied, she refilled the basket. Food stores were important, Copperblaze reminded herself. No eating the food stores.
Sylvan hastily declined Copper's crazy dragon-flying lessons.
"Yeah, no thanks.... I still dont trust it." she scoffed, shooting a glance in Bumble's direction. She watched as Skari and Topaz tried the lesson, and did pretty well. But she still didnt want to do it.
And she watched as they tried to make a saddle for Bumbles. She admired their ingenuity, but it didnt look like their efforts were very fruitful.
"I'll go." Sylvan volunteered when Skari asked for someone else to come with him on the 'shopping trip'. "I'm not a bad bargainer, and I'm a better burglar."
But when Copper also volunteered, she consiering retracting what she'd said... Let the two lovebirds have their time, and see what it was they could accomplish....
((Timeskip to later that evening))
As the small band of convicts sat around the fire, enjoying the meal of fish and veggies from the farm, Paz was staring intently into the blaze, thinking back to the few times she had spent in the Great Hall of Berk. By the time she had finished her meal, most of the vikings would have been drunk from there mead already and would be telling exaggrated stories and singing off-key. It was a humorous sight for her, and the tales Gobber would tell about the Boneknabber and Trolls she found especially silly. I mean, Hammerhead yaks, really?
She was snapped out of her thoughts, however, by a certain pesky Terror that was sitting next to her, hoping she would drop whatever food she was eating.
"Yeah, no. Not happening."
Said Terror then begins to give her puppy dog eyes.
"My answer is final. Now shoo fly, don't bother me."
Then, she started hearing the others talk about playing some kind of game, which got Paz curious.
"Wait, what's going on?"
Copperblaze looked over her shoulder at Skari, who was asking a question. "Oh, I was just thinking of a game that some people liked to play on Berk at campfires. These twins- Ruffnut and Tuffnut Thorston- really liked it, but hmm." She appraised their group. "Maybe you guys wouldn't like it, but then again, maybe you'll love it, who knows?"
"Anyway, the game's called Truth or Dare. Here's how it works..."
"You know, why not?" Copperblaze asked rhetorically. "Could be fun. Skari, truth or dare?"
First, the Thorsten name was bought up, Tuffnut Thorsten of all people. Second, so was Truth or Dare.
You know, suicide does not seem like such a bad idea right now.
Copperblaze thought for a moment. Hmm, what's a good truth question...
Amoment in, she heard Skari muttering something to himself. She couldn't hear him that well, but was he saying something about his name? You know, if he really wanted her to ask that badly...
A grin growing on her face, Copperblaze started to give him what he wanted. "Okay, I've got one. Skari, what's your full name?"
His expression in that moment was utterly hilarious. If there was some way to capture that for all eternity, she'd take it in a heartbeat. Hmm, maybe she'd draw it later... but she was getting off track. With that kind of expression change, this had to be good.
What Paz's mind sounds like when it's fried/freaked out:
So that's what was going through her head when she said, "Dare."
'AAAAHHHH-... Wait, what?'
"Ah, ok, give me a minute..."
It took a while, but eventually, she got something horrible:
"The sky is blue,
the grass is green.
If the lizard keeps begging,
it's gonna get creamed."
"So, yeah. Poems are not my thing at-all-what-so-ever. Sylvan, Truth or Dare?"
'Good riddance.' She thought, while the knots in her stomach were untying themselves.
"Aw, but we like Munch!" Copperblaze said through her giggles and sarcastic clapping. "We don't want to hurt him!"
Paz felt a little awkard about the applause, but their laughter was so infectious that she began to snicker along with them a bit. She then turned to see how Sylvan had reacted, but the assassin seemed to have been tuckered out a bit.
"Actually, how 'bout we skip Sylvan for now and go to Lupus. So, Lupus, Truth or Dare?"
Lupus was sitting around the campfire with the rest of the group and they were all playing truth or dare. Then she was called on by Paz. "Oh, er, dare?" She replied.
Paz cracked a sideways smile.
"Oh, er great. Now I gotta think of something."
After a few minutes of silence, Paz widened her grin a bit more.
"Howl at the moon."
'I'm gonna regret this soooo bad.'
Lupus actually laughed at this statement. "Sure," said said. She stood up and jumped up onto a rock and howled as loud and as clear as she could. As she finished, she sat down with the rest of the group. Would should she pick.....
"Sarki, truth or dare?"
Paz was laying on the ground, arms clutching her sides.
"H-HELP!!! I CAN'T BREATHE!!!"
Once she did finally calm down enough, Paz got back in a sitting position, correcting Lupus.
"Actually, it's Cops' turn now."
"Oh yeah right. Copper, truth or dare?"
"Oh yeah right. Copper, truth or dare?"
Copperblaze laughed at the slightly comical display of the girl wearing a wolf mask howling at the moon. "Oh, is it my turn already?" she asked, noticing that all of the awake Vikings had gone other than her. "Alright then, how about a dare?"
Yws, dare. "I dare you to try to tickle yourself."
"Oh, come on, that's pathetic!" Copperblaze laughed, jabbing her finger into her side as if to prove her point. "If I'm going to embarrass myself, I want to actually embarrass myself. Got any other ideas?"
"Fine. How about......... you have to act like a chicken until it's your turn again"
Copperblaze slapped her forehead. Why did I do that? she thought belatedly. Well, might as well make the best of it...
Walking around their circle, Copperblaze flapped her arms, adding a few 'bawks' for good measure, laughing all the way. Sitting back down, she searched the circle for her next victim- er, subject of Truth or Dare. Changing the order might be fun.
"Alright, Paz, truth or dare?"
Still filled with too much mirth to think straight, she managed to make out, "Truth!"
"Oh! I got one. What been the most embarrassing thing you've done in your life?"
That made Paz pause for a minute.
"You know, I'm not sure. I guess maybe that time I thought it would be a great idea to mix up some of Gothi's medicines just for fun, and to see what would happen. Those burns took a while to heal... Actually, I'm not even sure that was the most embarrassing thing, I did stuff like that a lot."
'Great, now I'm thinking about that place again. Lovely.'
"Anywho, Sylvan, Truth or Dare?"
