Just as the title suggest, if you have any Limitless resource and abilty to make either fan or official lincense game of httyd what would you make, what would your ideal httyd game you like to play be. We have various type of HTTYD game  available already; the village builder, the candy crush, the fighting game, flying simulator, taming dragon, that survival fangame and whatever SOD classify as...

For me my Ideal httyd game would be a Single player (sorry multiplayer isn't really my thing) Story based game that's not about Hiccup or Toothless. that's already describe Dawn of the new rider which I saw a lot of potential in but think it's lack the speed and flow I want (I'm not sure I haven't finish it yet might be because of the mechanic. we could use more of these type of premise though) It's going to be a semi-open world (actually linear but give an illusion and enough space that it's feel open world) Have the main new rider character(blank and bland enough to put your personility in but still their own character with name and not your avatar) with their own main named dragon for the story to attach around them but also feature the taming and flying other dragons mechanic. Basically nevigating around the story and world and making friend with other dragon along the way. The taming is going to be either luck base or mini game, kinda like pokemon where you throw a pokeball except we don't have pokeball here but probably do the nose touching thing or feeding them. You either fight, ignore, runaway or train the wild dragons you met. (again like Pokemon)The tamed dragon will be add to your party which will be in the menu, you can bring them out and fight or fly on them just like in SOD

*despite the other dragons you tamed into the parties, your main dragon is still the one showing up in story cutscene and is required in some levels*

there are two type of game this could be that's very different but I am fine with either; Either a Third person button smash but press another button for special assign ability, breath of the wild style game(not counting cooking or crafting I think my game doesn't need that) or a Pixelete turn base rpg(which might include parties of your dragon companion!)

Would be interesting if we have journal to add in the dragon we meet regardless if you tame them or not, kinda like pokedex, it will also hint at how to tame or ride/play with them.

For the story and details it's likely going to be a fanfiction type territory now. I'm happy with the ideal game mechanic mention above without these story so you don't have to read them but if you're interest in reading it, The idea I have are;

The story will be set in Hidden world! because I think it will be interesting and we barely explore it in any media, movie or game. our main protagonist is some kind of scarvenger wanderer who stumble upon the ghostly old berk and is ordered to burried all the old villager stuff. They're burring Hiccup's old stuff (Journal etc) until they dig themselves into the old whispering death tunnel and soon enough found themselves in the hidden world. Protag don't have any knowledge to dragon and have to rely on Hiccup old unfinished journal. They soon met their dragon which is....an Abomibumble! Why? I think the main protag need a unique one of the kind enough dragon but also have a sense of familiarity. Abomibumble is the obvious Gronckle Monsterous nightmare (two of the dragon everyone even the non httyd fan are familiar with) looking hybrid which fit the bill perfectly and the fact that they aren't look conviniently cute or skilled would make their bond all the more special and real? like the underdog story. imagine this abomibumble have the Alpha toothless in httyd2 moment because the main protag is that good of the trainer.

So these two need to navigate through hidden world in order to get the main protag out, they made friend and find the inner problem within the hidden world post httyd3 they need to fix along the way. Controversial but I think I might have some dragon talk (but protag is the silent protag so we can write it off as they hit their head or dreaming or actually dont understand all the growling all along) to carry the story(since we dont have any human in it and i dont think I'm good enough for a show dont tell approach when presenting the Hidden world inner problem and well, quirky talking dragons npcs is a tempting ideas). it might even be about a conflict between the talking dragons and wild dragons. The wild dragons like the abomibumble are the one we trained and ride while most talking dragons are the npcs and tie close to the story, we are not allow to train them but we can recruit them for help (bring them out via skill button or something each dragons npcs come with different skills) Protag improved the dragons' life. Fight the bosses, may or maybot getting ou in the end. A Simple Undertale-esque story.

or maybe can can archieve those all dialougelessly? I doubt it but if it can then that's going to be quite an interesting indy experience

Another idea that just came up as I'm making this thread so it's not ideal but I think might be interesting is all that I mentioned above but the story centered around Valka and Cloudjumper before the event of httyd 2. It might make an interesting dialougless game that still have the "taming flying on different dragons yet having one main named dragon character to attach too" mechanic above and make us grow attach to Valka and Cloudjumper more (make their separation after 20 long years together all the more sadder)

***This thread is for opening fun discussion of what if. We acknowledge that everything said here is not really going to happen! Go wild and don't let the possibility, technical or lore, stop you! It's your ideal game and you get to make anything you want!

Eeh... You're going to be waiting quite a while, I'm afraid.

It's a long way from completion yet, but progress is being made.  Right now, I'm working on the bare-bones basic dragon training system, and it's just about done. :)  I would give you a link to the thread where it started, but the rules on cross-linking threads disallow that.  If you'd be interested, though, I could send you the link through PM.

Something like that new Harry Potter game that is coming out would be absolutely ideal for me.

I want a very detailed character creator. One with realism and many options, enabling me to create a while and diverse array of characters.  I am not sure about multi-player or not.

I would want an open world story-based game in which the actions of your character has an affect on the ending of the story. You could join the riders, or become a villain and join the hunters,  or join another group entirely. The threads of the story of malleable and your choices will affect the results. However, I do what there to be a "main" plot that is clearly laid out enough so that beginning players can easily get a feel for the game before they start searching for other plots.

I would also want a detailed remembrance system in the NPCs. Like, if you were mean to someone, they are gonna remember that. Dragons,  too. Any dragon you find in the game has to be trained if they are wild. So if you want a specific type of dragon, you have to go looking for it. And you have to train it. Certain dragons will be easier to train than others. And you can have multiple. But you have to be able to take care of them or they will go feral and fly away.

Each dragon you encounter will have a meter that shows you how much they trust you (or don't trust you). You fill up the meter, they will officially be trained.

But freshly trained drahons still need to be taught tricks.

Speaking of, I want a very detailed array of tricks your dragon can learn. And a lot of flight tricks. Would be a lot of fun for flying or boss battles.

The overall goal of your character is to explore new islands and do quests.  The more you explore, the more chances you have to level up. So, if you are stuck on a boss fight and cannot progress in your quests,  you can always go back and explore more islands. There will be a progress meter and map to show you how much of the island you've discovered and thus completed.

I would also want some form of building abilities.  So that you may settle down in the town or place of your choosing. You must first collect resources for building but it would be nice to be able to customize my own house.

I want the same thing for armour.  Obviously,  your character won't know how to make their own armour unless they take some skill points in smithing and crafting,  however, i would like to be able to make our own fully customized armour as well as base-game sets given to us in case we are too lazy. People who don't have the smithing skills will have to commission a blacksmith or leathersmith and choose standard models

I wanna be able to participate in dragon racing with the riders and dragon fighting with the hunters. I wanna feel fully immersed in this world while maintaining a lot of realism... and absolutely no purchase to play. I said it. Lol.

Slightly less related but I think you'd enjoy Detroit: Become Human! (If you hadn't checked it out) Like you mentioned, it's an open-world style choose your adventure game with three characters and eveyr option counts to your  final ending. Of course not a perfect game, but still a very impressive one in terms of storylines and characters.

Wiggles the Whispering D.eath ate my subject

Honistly, if it was about the vikings I'd still kind of want something akin to school of dragons mechanically just...better with more things to do and instead of expansions it just has the story that gets added as it goes. Single or multiplayer....eh. I mean...I do really like the forum that came with this game and that might influence my choice. I will admit that I don't actually interact with other players in-game much though. I kind of just use the MMO to populate the world and look at other people's dragons. (Which admittidly I do like doing. I like seeing how other people color them)

But...forget the vikings. What about playing AS A DRAGON. My previous idea would deffinitly give you the option to make a dragon charicter and might even have an entirely different quest set for dragons. You could be trying to avoid dragon hunters or maybe your quest starts with escaping from a captured position. Maybe you try and build your own flock and raise young. Fish and hunt (careful though, some hunting areas are share by vikings and depending on where you hunt you may get dragon hunter eyes on you).

And while we're at it maybe playing as a dragon hunter is an option too. (Though I personally probubly wouldn't do this as much. I don't really like playing the bad guy in multi-choise games. Kinda upsets me even though it's not real. Then again, maybe not all dragon hunters are evil. Some of them may just have been born on the wrong side of history and didn't see the other side enough yet. I guess it's up to the player how trully bad they wanna be.)

NPCs and possibly bots are a must because I don't want a game that MAKES you play multi-player to get the full experience (unless you're a completionist that has to get every medal...then you might have to play both but that's on you for wanting to get litterally everything and the challenge might actually still be fun). There might be several mini-games that are better in muti-player but you could also just make a singleplayer server with bots if you wanted (or no bots other then maybe in mini-games if you're a singleplayer to avoid lag person). I kind of want a game that is satisfying both in singleplayer and multiplayer. There might be a few things that are better in multiplayer but there will also be some things that are better singleplayer. A lot of the player vs. stuff would basically be for RPing reasons but.

Oh and while I'm not 100% sold on this idea...maybe....if you manage to reach max level or something you have an option to make that charicter a lyconwing come whatever my game's version of d.readfall is. The option is only around during that time of year and only to charicters past a certian high level. Those maining dragon charicters don't have to worry because....it can affect them too. They just end up basically being reverse lyconwings with an ability to turn into a viking instead of the other way around. This opens up some exlusive to high level charicter quests where your charicter is sneaking around some other side's area pretending to be one of them for sneaky reasons.

I dunno, maybe this wouldn't become a thing. Espessully for realism as....it would ruin it possibly but...it is something I thought about. Heck, maybe the lyconwing thing would actually....stop after the season ends even for players that got it but that might make players annoyed. I imagine if it was implimented people could turn it off in private servers if they didn't want it. Heck, maybe some offical servers would have it and some don't (while making it clear whether the option is on or not so people don't waist time leveling a charicter in the wrong server. A realism server would provide as close to canon experience as possible while a...canon stretching server would....not do that).

I feel like everything else would be way more important to this because....ironically I'm not really someone who likes putting magic in HTTYD very often. So part of me is very against this even being a thing but....the less canon-stickler part of me thinks it's cool. I guess I could shove hybrids as a turnon and offable option too that would only be avalible on the canon stretching servers despite being more canon then the lyconwing. Hybrids wouldn't even come into the game untill the vast majority of non-hybrids are implimented though.

Hybrids might be limited to starting off in captivity under whatever my Stormheart-like badd.ie is since all hybrids that aren't simple nightlight level would be artifically made living weapons as their backstory.

Like, if there are options for dragons to start off wild (maybe even go through hatchlinghood as a tutorial) or captive by the bad guy charicters with some of their "training" as a tutorial before you play as long as you want as a dragon hunter lead dragon unless you choose to pick an escape option that is provided along the way.

This game would be a nightmare to produce and is not at all reasonable to expect as an actual thing but this is an ideal dream scenerio. I'm sure there's actually some veryability here that I'd be fully satisfyed with.

___________________________________

Alternitivly....I could go for a eather a single player game or multiplayer that drops the vikings as playable entirely and just focuses on the dragons living in the middle of the conflict. Because this focuses entirely on the dragons you have more choices as a starting point. You could be entirely wild. A random wandering dragon. You could belong to the flock of one of the big alpha dragons. You could start off from a point of being dragon hunter held. Or you could have been raised in Berk but simply not have a rider. (Would be funny to have the option to get one though. Then because you're playing a dragon you're basically just wearing a human as an accessory for a lot of it)

OR you could be from the hidden world. I feel like having a more focused idea makes this option a more likely thing that could have existed rather then my mess even if it's an awsome mess up above.

I get bored of always playing the human in games where there are much cooler sapient species. Sometimes I just want to BE the dragon instead.

I imagine you could learn to lead your own flock or follow some other faction and help push them to victory. Or even escape one faction to go to another. If you want an armored dragon that's on the side of Berk you might need to get your charicter captured by the dragon hunters, play as one of their dragons for long enough to be armored and then escape but regect the berk viking's offer to remove your armor. The idea would be to build the charicter you want through your experiences with the world.

So...maybe you do start out as a random wild dragon regaurdless. Not sure yet.

OH OH! What if there's very limited dialog? And the story is mostly told through charicter animations and maybe some flavor text of things you can't know through animation alone. Like, to you the vikings speak in garbled weird noises at least untill you've been around them enough that you start learning their words. And you have to go through a process of learning said words. Untill then you just have to watch their gestures.

*This two legged thing is holding some kind of plant.....that smells amazing I/You want to just roll in it and you don't know why* - (Small text down in the bottum of the screen so it's not intrusive but gives extra context. Size can be changed and the text even removed in some kind of options menu)

(Second one sounds better as a singleplayer after I have typed it out but it probubly also wouldn't be bad as a mostly single player game that has a multi-player mode so you can just do the normal stuff with a friend or a few if you want. Like, something designed mostly as a single player but you CAN host a server if you want even if the quests/cutscenes might be kind of weird)

Ok I think I'm done editing it now.

I don't play that many

I don't play that many videogames so it might be harder to explain what I want lol, but definetly a story based single player game (also not a fan of multiplayer *shrug emoji I'm too lazy to look up*) with very detailed character creation, I'm thinking something like Dragon Age Inquisition, with a player that is the same age as the dragon riders (hidden world). Definetly open world, also like dai (I'm gonna reference it a lot because its one of the few games I have played in that style), or Skyrim?

As for dragons, I LOVE collecting dragons and having one of every species and everything... but for this hipotetical game I'll go with, you have ONE dragon that you can choose in the character creation screen and like your character you can customize it, also choosing your character and your dragon's backstory (wich could go from you have it since hatched, to you found it wounded and nursed it back to health, or you fought them but some circumstances led you to working together, to name a few), and depending wich dragon you choose npcs will react differently (you have a gronckle? some people might make fun of you, censored... you have a zippleback? people are already expecting you to start fires left and right, you have a nightmare? people might respect you a little more, you have a nadder? they think you think highly of yourself but would not mess with you in battle, etc)

It would definetly have battles, like in rpgs, think skyrim, dragon age in general, etc, you can choose weapons that would range from bows to two-handed swords, and depending your weapon you can equip different habilities (that maybe you get when you level up), wich would sort of force you to choose one type and stay with it, and your dragon could help you in battle, with its own set of habilities that you unlock while you level up

The world would be "open" you have a set of islands that you can fly to (I'm thinking something similar to dawn of new riders), but each island would be big enough that you can explore for hours, again think something like the Inquisition maps, it would have a main story line with a bunch of side quests

I'm thinking that you could be working with Hiccup and the Riders, and you would reside on Berk where you would also have some missions... like in DAI (OH BOY, I BASICALLY WANT A DAI GAME BUT WITH DRAGONS LOL), and you can talk to people in berk and unlock stories, and have conversations with them, and some will have more than other (the riders, Valka, Eret, Gobber)... can you guess what other game has that?

And in the main story you could make decisions too, and depending of your decisions other characters would approve or dissaprove *sweats looking at Dragon Age*. Although, unlike in dragon age you would go on your own on the world, you wouldn't have a team, but you could still build friendships with the npcs (wich wouldn't be required, they're just there if you are obsessed with one character and want to hear them talk for hours)

And even tho its not a thing of this games, I love mini games that require you to do something, like fishing, cooking, taking care of your dragon... And you would had a home in Berk where you can keep collectibles, and where you can unlock different furniture while you complete side quests (again, not required, the home would have everything you need as it is, but if you want it to look homey you'd have to do sidequests)

I have no idea what the story line would be tho LOL... the most important part smh, it would probably be an alternate universe where the events of the Hidden World didn't happen, so goodbye Light Fury (I'm sorry, not really)

but the characters are still that age, maybe some other circumstances made them move to New Berk (probably overpopulation... but who knows)

...

WELP, now I'm hyped for a game that doesn't exist LOL, I'm gonna go play Dragon Age Inquisition...

Lonquimay - Male Eruptodon

Gildfang - Male Thunderdrum

Solar - Female Skrill

Serpentide - Female Grapple Grounder

Frostsky - Male Shivertooth

Stingbark - Male Triple Stryke

Nibble - Male Threadtail

Moonstone - Female Gronckle (Moonrock in game cause it didnt let me call her Moonstone)

Snowpine - Male Chimeragon

Wildmoss - Male Elder Sentinel

Mercy - Male Deathgripper

Grandcanyon - Male Sand Wraith

Hidden World:

The first dragon that Parakeet owned, since is the one she helped escape from the Hunters. Basically the Dad Friend of the Dragons, endless pacience and loyalty. Loves to bury himself in sand, and often runs around in two legs

Firebringer - Female Monstrous Nightmare

Hidden World:

(they did you dirty girl)

Not the brightest Monstrous Nightmare in the bunch, but she tries, she is the first dragon Parakeet ever trained since hatched, she acts like an annoying big sister and likes to bite a lot, an habit that she got from when she was a baby, and Parakeet never corrected. She also saves Parakeet from falling a lot

Iceberg - Male Groncicle

Hidden World:

Enjoys Berks climate, doesnt particularly enjoy Firebringer's attention, likes to chill (hehe) with Parakeet rather than do flips in the air, prefers islands with snow, and is a picky adventurer. If dragons can eyeroll, he's doing it all the time. He just doesn't have the patience to deal with his new trainer but still does, cause he appreciates the help she offered him

Grimmer - Female Whispering Death

Hidden World:

When Valka gave Parakeet a Whispering Death egg, she wasnt very sure to be able to train her properly, since Whispering Deaths are terrifying. Now she thinks her Nightmare Eyes are endearing and even climbs into her mouth to show how gentle she can be. Although Grimmer is prone to jealousy she has a soft spot for Seafoam, whom, alongside Parakeet, she saved from a sinking Outcast ship as an egg

Shockjaw - Male Skrill

Hidden World:

A very hard to read guy, Parakeet isnt sure of his personality, since he doesnt seem to show any, even tho he got him as an egg. He loves to fly and do tricks, but outside it, he's a mystery. If there's anything Parakeet learned from him, is that he is competitive, and enjoys racing, so Shockjaw is her main go to dragon from when she wants to race

Seafoam - Male Scauldron

Hidden World:

He likes to spit his boiling hot water at people when he's happy. Look out. Parakeet has her shield in hand at all times because of this. He's learning to just create bubbles, but it's a work in progress. Considers Grimmer his mom, mostly because she doesn't let other dragons aproach him much

Swampdiver - Female Mudraker

Hidden World:

Loves to swim around, with all of her family members, and sleep on her trainer's chest (wich was cute when she was small...) she probably believes Parakeet is another small dragon since she always tries to drag her into the water and not let her go. That or she's trying to drown her... Let's hope for the first one

Torchnight - Male Monstrous Nightmare

Hidden World:

(look how they massacred my boy)

Altho not the first Monstrous Nightmare she trained, Torchnight prooved to be a very hard case to work with, since the dragon would just not listen to her and go off to his own business, often hitting her with his tail without realizing. The only command he seems to understand on land is when Parakeet hits her chest to call him, wich is when he just launches himself towards her. It was cute when he was younger and it worked, now it's coming back to haunt her and pin her to the ground

Ironclaw - Female Armorwing

Hidden World:

Because of the abuse of the Hunters, Ironclaw is very shy and defensive, but with care and the other dragons help she's coming to be a very curious girl. She loves to watch Parakeet work and will often try to take her helmet off to put into her armor

Acidrain - Female Flame Whipper

Hidden World:

A mischievious prankster who loves to play hide and seek with her trainer, she always cheats by hiding in places Parakeet can't access on her own. Likes to surprise and scare dragons and people alike, as well as sleep on the job. Loses her tail all the time whenever she gets scared

Goldwing - Female Razorwhip

Hidden World:

Responsible and serious, almost doesnt like to play, only when she's sure Parakeet is done with any quests she has, talk about the mom of the group. Rarely plays with the other dragons, gets along the best with Grandcanyon, silently judges the rest, come on girl, you gotta have more fun.

Sirencall - Male Death Song

Hidden World:

A sweet, sweet boy. Playful and kind, like a little brother for the rest of the dragons, also a little prankster, he likes to sing to lure other dragons, and then just flies around with a flock of dragons behind him. Kind of hard to explain to other trainers that he's a bit excentric, to not say otherwise. If fed up Parakeet will start to sing real loud to shut him up, wich  offends him but succesfully gets the point across

Shiverbeast - Female Stormcutter

Hidden World:

Surprisingly gets scared of storms, she can't fly through one, Parakeet learned this the hard way, loves to swim and "fly" underwater, a great explorer of the great seas. Well, the sea during storms is scary, perhaps that's the reason. Rather small for her breed, but she's also young, so it's to be expected, she eats as much as the others after all

Oceaneyes - Female Raincutter

Hidden World:

Like most Raincutters, Oceaneyes loves to fly through rain (looking at you Shiverbeast), and do tricks, the only problem is that in the rain she becomes more slick and it gets hard to get a good grip on her, so no tricks allowed until we get a saddle for you girl, she gets moody if the weather isn't optimal for her, if there's high winds, or too much sun she rather sleep. Loves to fly off in the morning dew, and Parakeet would love to join her, if she was a morning gal. "Also, hehe, duck feet" Parakeet, probably

Bonfire - Male Monstrous Nightmare

Hidden World:

(oh god why)

Much younger than the other Monstrous Nightmare, he is like the spoiled little brother. A master at playing victim, likes to sleep on top of Firebringer and Torchnight, even when neither of them like it most of the time he gets his way. Likes adventuring but gets scared really easily, so Parakeet can't fly with him through the night. When he lights himself on fire his flames are weaker than most other Nightmares, Parakeet still doesnt understand why. His smaller size, once tought by Parakeet to be because he was younger, is actually due to him being a runt, same reason why his flames are weaker

Bass & Wood - Male Hideous Zippleback

Hidden World:

Bass is the gas, Wood is the spark, they hate each other and are constantly snapping and trying to bite the other, Parakeet has to pet both at the same time if she wants to have peace. They barely get anything done, including flying, except when they're practicing with Astrid and Parakeet, that's the only time they'll work together

Pinkspark - Female Singetail

Hidden World:

She's more wild than trained, absolutely refuses to get a saddle on her, so Parakeet has given up on that. Sometimes sleeps in the stables, sometimes flies away for entire weeks before coming back to Parakeet, needless to say she was terrified at first and didnt sleep right until she knew Pinkspark was safe. Equal times playful and serious, gets reasonably along with the other dragons.

Lonquimay - Male Eruptodon

Hidden World:

He likes napping more than he does anything else, and Parakeet can relate to that. He doesnt often do anything else other than sleeping or eating, but Parakeet likes to fly around with him when he feels like it, cause she feels high and mighty on top of the dragon. Other than that, she also enjoys napping with him or just reading some books while resting alongside him.

Gildfang - Male Thunderdrum

Hidden World:

Stubborn like any Thunderdrum, Gildfang likes to submerge himself underwater when he doesnt feel like listening to his trainer, prefers to travel through water, and is faster that way. When traveling underwater his higliths become more prominent and help him see around especially at night or at very deep level wich is why Parakeet allows him to keep going deeper underwater (even tho its terrifying). Gets rather well with the other dragons, especially Seafoam and Shiverbeast, whom are his water loving buddies.

Solar - Female Skrill

Hidden World:

Miss new addition to the family, she knows she's perfect and isn't shy to show off, kinda makes Shockjaw jealous, no matter how hard Parakeet tries to show both of them the same amount of love. She is friendlier than Shockjaw so most vikings prefer to deal with her rather than the other Skrill, but one thing that she can't surpass Shockjaw in is racing. But she is a sore loser so don't tell her that

Serpentide - Female Grapple Grounder

Hidden World:

Parakeet didn't know about the existence of this dragon, so when she got a Grapple Grounder egg she was really excited, but after reading a bit about them she became more and more doubtful about raising one, thankfully after hatching Serpentide dispelled all fears with her calm personality, one that would only turn stubborn during battle tactics, where the only way you can get her to back down is some good ol fashioned dragon nip to calm her down.

Frostsky - Male Shivertooth

Hidden World:

Surprisingly a mature fellow, not as playful as some Shivertooths are, or so Parakeet thought, until she found him and Firebringer playing pranks on a very tired Iceberg, aparently he is more of a play pranks in teams kind of guy, so she and Frostsky often go to the twins to play some good and non malicious pranks to any Berk residents.

Stingbark - Male Triple Stryke

Hidden World:

Stingbark definetly has taken a like to Sleuther, Dagur's Triple Stryke, so Parakeet has definetly (and kind of against her own wishes) gone to Dagur to train Stingbark, and altho they both differ in more than a variety of different stances Parakeet does listen to some of Dagur's advice (but she will never admit to it). Stingbark is civil and calm but when paired with Sleuther and his Rider he can get rather into it, Parakeet can say for sure that the days she's trained Stingbark are the days she's felt the most tired afterwards.

Nibble - Male Hobblegrunt

Hidden World:

Altho he started being incredibly iperactive as a child, but growing up he calmed down, even to the point of getting lazy, wich Parakeet doesn't appreciate because she loved playing with baby Nibble and now hes like a teenager whos annoyed at his guardian, definetly still likes to set eels on fire (wich Sirencall later eats... I guess the system works for them)

Moonstone - Female Gronckle

Hidden World:

Mom Friend, cares for the dragons and definetly enjoys the company of baby dragons specially. Treats Parakeet like another baby because.... well Parakeet. Loves hanging out with Meatlug and Fishlegs (and Fishmeat) and Parakeet has definetly have long chats with Fishlegs about Gronckles.

Snowpine - Male Chimeragon

Hidden World:

Parakeet's still unsure how this Chimeragon ended up in her hands but she's glad it did, Snowpine enjoys the winter climate of Berk and is an avid fan of all things sweet. He adores children and lets them decorates his crown of scales with diverse Snoggletog decorations, and Parakeet wonders how on earth such a sweet creature could have been created by such a cold entity.

Wildmoss - Male Elder Sentinel

Hidden World

Being able to stay still by a worrying amount of time, Parakeet wonders why would he ever choose to stay with her. She is grateful of course, but the dragon always seems to miss his home dearly, a source of comfort for quite a few dragons, particularly Ironclaw and Mercy who have suffered abuse by their captors, he still seems content enough to stay by Parakeet's side.

Mercy - Male Deathgripper

Hidden World

Confused and stunned this Deathgripper ended up in New Berk scared out of his mind, but with the help of Fishlegs and Parakeet, and of course Firebringer, he ended up finding that not all humans are evil, he's very distrustfull of men, with the small exception of Fishlegs (but he's on thin ice), very few people are able to aproach him unscathed, Parakeet being no exception, she has quite a few scars from treating a scared and scarred Mercy. Most other dragons are afraid of him, but Ironclaw seems to know that he has gone trough a similar past as her, Wildmoss seems to be his support, and Firebringer is the first dragon to have given him a chance, along with her Rider

You are gonna love this!

The Ultimate How To Train Your Dragon RPG Game/How To Train Your Dragon: The Ultimate RPG Game

It is an RPG game with very beautiful high graphics that retells the story of nearly the entire canon How To Train Your Dragon Franchise from How To Train Your Dragon to How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World! However, some parts may not be retold and there can be altered forms of things that happens in the movies or even the whole entire cannon continuation of the franchise. In this game, the player creates an avatar and takes part in the retelling of the franchise just with the player('s character) being involved. The game functions with an open world to explore with, due to the retelling, almost EVERY SINGLE DRAGON SPECIES in the canon franchise appearing in the game. There is a new dragon species appearing in the game: the Galactic Starbreath. The dragons would usually roam around the lands/map and if the player comes into contact with them, they get pit into a turn-based battle against the dragon. This can also apply to enemy Vikings or other creatures too. Dragons are usually obtained by defeating wild dragons to sometimes get a dragon egg that will hatch into a random dragon. If the player wants to get a dragon that he or she solely wants, the player must feed the enemy dragon it's favourite food, increasing its fascination for you and if successful, the dragon would want to join you, allowing the player to train it and add it to their collection. Smaller dragons like the Terrible Terror along with other generic vikings or smaller creatures are only obtainable that alternative way, and function as a sidekick. Bigger dragons like the Timberjack can be obtained from either method, but cannot be used as a playable mount for the avatar due to their enormous size. Final bosses like the Red Death cannot be obtained. This is an inspiration from Monster Hunter Stories and Yokai Watch.

Whenever the characters talk, they are often heard saying a random one of their one liners from the film as the dialogues then appear with the characters' artwork capable of displaying various emotions beside it with multiples appearing if there are more than one character talking at the moment.

The player can accept quests from characters to continue the story. Expansion Packs appear after the player completes each story arc and they allow the player to encounter and collect various dragons, generic vikings, and lesser creatures from the TV Series.

When the player completes a story arc retelling the story of one movie, the game will take the player back to the main menu/title screen where the next entering of the same save file will kickstart the retelling of the next movie's story. The music is heavily reused from the franchise at various points in the game, and the victory music for every victory after a battle varies depending on where the battle is won, for example, if a battle is won at the cove, the exciting part from Romantic Flight plays. The same goes for losing a battle. I'll share the music uses for these in a seperate comment if you would like.

What do you guys think of this concept? Do you like it? Do you see anything can could be improved? What platform should I release this to?  Let me know in the replies, please?

Your main idea is kinda like

Your main idea is kinda like the Canon-complaint/self insert type game right? there're certainly an appeal in those type of game especially for those who want their character to go through or experience something they alrready seen and similar to the movie they like. Some other new plot might not be able to please anyone but with these type of plot it is safe for people'd get everything out of the thing they saw in the game and want to do. The first game came in mind is Hogwarts mystery, which while has the original plot and isn't canon-complaint, the game allow us to do all the thing the main character from the main movie get to do. If this is the real game it would be a neat  and I wouldn't mind spend my time playing it. I'm not sure about the platform as I think this can be on anything

Also...

Thanks! Also, it will include the names of all the unnamed modular dragons (including those that have not have their names revealed yet) and it will fix the issues that people have with How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World and make the story a bit more better than what they exactly saw in the films. It would be released on the Nintendo Switch or maybe even PC, what do you think about this concept/idea? And what do you think about the Galactic Starbreath? The new Strike Class dragon I made? Then again, only DreamWorks can make this.

hi :)

god. This is something I've given maybe too much thought to, thankyou for activating me :) anyway;

  • Core gameplay of adventure exploration in a mostly static map. As fun sounding as procedual maps are, I do not enjoy wandering for hours in hopes that the RNG spits out the one thing I need (AHEM minecraft CAOUGH sorry).
  • Light RPG in sense of plot and progression. Play as a Trapper thats' defected and helped set up a rider raid. Once the tutorial is over, you have free run of the whole game, working through different quest lines and skill trees
  • Questlines; three primary factions that can be worked through independantly from each other, but are linked closely to their respective skill sets. Riders give you access to better dragon gear, Hunters give you better weapons, and Dragons unlock new species and make it easier to train as you learn about them.
  • Fourth 'questline' is setting out on your own and starting your own faction (basically a RoB section). You have free reign over a large island, and depending on how you use the area, you can create a new Rider tribe, Hunter clan, or Dragon nest, or some mix of them (but you have to commit to one of the end pieces; riders nursery, hunters archive/watchtower/scouting vessel, dragons alpha).
  • Note; difference between Trappers and Hunters; trappers are the villianous group, exploiting dragons for personal gain, while Hunters do what the name implies and hunt as needed to maintain ecosystem health
  • Dragon training would be similar to Pokemon friendship levels, gradually increasing as you spend time with them. Each stat is levelled independantly, increasing slowly from general play but can be quickly levelled from Rider training courses. Gear like saddles and armour would give minor effects to stats, the main feature being special buffs similar to Monster Hunter armour skills.
  • Physics based flight, needing takeoff and landing space, allowing you to stall in the air for freefalls, but also having an automatic flight mode where your character stands in the saddle while the dragon circles a target. Midair bailing/Can get knocked off in flight, risk of dragon not catching you if bond/trust levels are low. Flight suit earned by completing Riders questline
  • Wild dragons all have unique behaviour patterns which interact with each other and the player. Would have observing missions that just have you follow something around for a while, the longer you spend watching a species the better you can predict it (get UI displays telling its current task, where it is going, etc). This is basically most of the Hunter skill tree, getting accurate and specific predictions to dragon behaviour that makes it easier to avoid, train, or fight them

Also some specific stuff

  • Rare/top tier powerful dragons like Skrill, Furies, Fireworms, etc. require special gear to ride and are only aqquired from quests.
  • Dragon customisation done through a Book of Dragons-esque menu, picking species and dimorphisms/variant traits from pages and drawings, then getting a map marker for where you could find them. Higher research on a species reduces search areas, gives you a better chance of getting the exact one you picked, and with better base stats.
  • Building the Hunters special thing for your island guarantees a chosen dragon, along with more options for appearance and its base stat distribution.
  • Riders Nursery gives you access to dragons you can't find in the wild like hybrids and exotic species, as well as breeding non-wild morphs of species.
  • Dragons Alpha increases level caps on your dragons stats, giving you access to more powerful abilities and special moves. Would feature an Alpha species unique to the game rather than an existing/established Alpha species
