Petition To Fix Toothless
This probably won't do much but I really want Toothless to be fixed. He's had the same model since the game started. 7 years of the same model. The other dragons also have his model. I know that Toothless means a lot to a majority of players here. If Toothless gets fixed it's a step in the right direction. It's almost painful to ride him, fly with him, and even look at him! He's one of the fastest dragons in game if not the fastest! He deserves to look the part! You can give him some tail wings! Make him stand out so we aren't looking at clones of him! It would really mean a lot! The model he has appears to be from the first movie. He's grown and changed so much! Fixing his model and animations might even get some more players/customers! More people might be willing to buy membership! Things that need fixing on his model: He's stiff and rough, his wings aren't held up like that- They are folded by his side, like the Light Fury, his texture is rough and just doesn't look the part, His legs/claws also need some improvement, and his ear nubs are very flat- They would look so much better 3D! When he flies his legs are down. Something we have seen time and time again is that he tucks them in very close to his body! Again like the Light Fury. He doesn't seem stream-lined- Not with the way his head is positioned. His animations are okay. But he just doesn't seem like a Night Fury. His animations should be more Night Fury like. Different from the Light Fury! Also please fix his teeth! That middle tooth disturbs me. I bet people would love to buy memberships but if Toothless continues like this- People won't be tempted to buy memberships! I'm sure you could make money off of this. People would start supporting the game more. The events are nice and all... But this would be more fun and personal. We as the players love Toothless and Night Furies (not speaking for everybody here)! Again just look into it! New tail wings would be fun to have! Like the ones from Race To The Edge! Making him stand out and different would make him more special! A lot of people probably get tired of seeing Toothless clones. Take this into consideration Devs! If ya'll agree just respond! I agree! part of the reason why I quit my membership so long ago ( aside from the evil auto renewal that basiclly gives SOD your entire wallet) was the fact that toothless was so boring! I mean a bought him some skins and saddle which helped but, he still looked pretty much the same as the next guys toothless...
SOD has entered a new phase with their models and animation techiques, Many of the new dragons like light fury, deathgripper, crimson goregutter, and the hybrids all have these beautiful, modern animations that look amazing!!
Toothless is the OG, he deserves better,
a matter of fact so do dragons like the typhoomerang, M nightmeres, and a plethera of others!

I completely agree, although if they do add an animation update I hope it will not hinder his speed. Some of the animations are absolutely stunning, so why not the same for Toothy? I also like the tail fin idea.
I wish in general; they could let us create our own paints instead of the store ones, so that the players could have more creativity.
I thought Toothless' model was unique and not used by other dragons? He's the only night fury after all.
What I meant to say was his animations- But the wings on some dragons are exactly the same on his model. :'D

Nothing wrong with the HTTYD 1 Model, but he looks like a blob compared to the Light Fury. Alpha Toothless is a tiiiny but better, but not be much. Let's be real: Alpha Toothless is just a skin that gives him a few new animations.
Toothless seriously needs attention from the devs. Like you said already, his model and animations are 7 years old and are way outdated compared to other dragons like the Light Fury. Toothless being only available through membership, he surely deserves an update in both his model and animations. The Light Fury, another membership perk, has a beautiful model with good graphics and unique animations. Comparing to the Light Fury, Toothless' model looks like it wasn't rendered properly and I dare say it looks ugly. Toothless' animations also look bad, like I generally hate his walking animation when he hops around because it looks weird and I can't imagine any dragon in the HTTYD universe walk like this. Not to mention his animations are not unique, there are a few dragons in the game with these awful animations: Woolly Howl, Shockjaw, etc.

Agree update Toothless please! I'd love to see a new model for him (without the winghooks) and smooth animation. I shall sign this petition!
I 100% agree, and for suggestions, why not put those tail fins that are supposed to go in your hideout to good use? Not only would they help with your own personilised NF's but maybe each could have its own stats to make even more interesting. Eg. One would increase speed but decrease turning. The normal red tail fin could be for the normal states.

I really do agree. Same with many other old dragon models too. He looks too stiff and blocky.

I completely agree! The way his legs stick out is so weird. I get that they're trying to make the Light Fury look more sleek, but it's just so strange to have his legs stick out like that!
It really is unfortunate that Toothless' animation is one of the worst because he and Hiccup are the heart of the HTTYD films. (along with all the other dragons stuck with this)

I'm gonna be honest- Toothless needs fixing. Badly. Please admins update him soon. I can't pull him out without me wincing. He needs fixing. It hurts looking at him. I don't see any other of getting membership other than the Light Fury- But that's not enough to convince me. I know it would mean a lot if you get him fixed up. Maybe add some tail wings? I know I mentioned this already but that would be so cool to make our Toothless look unique and not just a clone. I wince just seeing his legs sticking out and him looking like he has no soul- His animation don't seem Night Fury like- I'm rambling but again bringing the points up. I know you have seen the issue but I want to make a point here. Consider this a bump.

I understand that Toothless needs to be fixed as well. I also feel the same way about many, if not most of the older dragons in School of Dragons. I've honestly noticed that many of the dragons we have have simmilar, if not the same issues. Many reuse existing the models and animations that were/are used by other species, and this has created some problems. Other dragons do look like they weren't properly rendered, or at least in some cases, properly textured either. A couple of prominent issues that keep popping up are... Wonky animations and broken necks in long necked dragons that reuse parts of Toothless, and Poorly/Improperly textured older dragons, not to mention Blocky, Noticably polygonal dragons. While Toothless is suffering the most, I'd like to see these other issues fixed as well.
I also have a suggestion for the Developers... at least for the long necked dragons. Many of the dragons that have longer necks currently look like they have incredibly painful, constantly broken necks, which possibly came from these dragons reusing Toothless when they weren't really built to do that. To fix the broken neck/wonky animation problem, it might be better for these dragons to have their models/animations based more on real animals that have/had long necks, such as an Alverezsaurid, a Swan, or even a Sauropod. It might also be an idea to give more of the older dragons their own completely unique models and animations, perhaps pulling from their behavior in the shows a bit as well as real life equivalents.

Toothless' animation is very, very similar to the Sand Wraith and other dragons similar. I want his animation to be fixed; he's the 1 and only Night Fury. Make him stand out! You can literally buy a sand wraith, age it up to adult, paint it all black, and name it Toothless. That's how similar they are to each other. Toothless is legendary and he should be special. Fix him please!!!
Ik I'm like a year late, but people actually do that. Like I've seen so many black (I swear I'm not racist) sandwraiths that are named toothless! And most of the time, I mistake them for toothless, and think that person has a membership until I get closer.
Jeez yes, I'm trying to get some skins for him because he really looks quite anonymous... and those paper thin ears? I can't but stare at those ears! The other two are static, while should be moving too. Can a winged creature rest wings like that? And about those paws while flying? Really, I try to equip him with a skin to make him look better... but some details are really ugly. I'm sure that they won't fix him, they never listen to suggestions...
Odins beard! Yes! Fix him please! I sometimes hesitate to use toothless just because I use (him) when I use a whole different dragon and I'm sick of seeing his animation.

hey, yes i also think likewise and sorry if i used this posts to talk about this, because i dont know how to post a new one, its related to night furies, many times i encountered people keep talking about night fury eggs, i know toothless is maybe the last one. but eventually i gave it another shot to do second research, i was expecting to get information that strongly proves that toothless is the last night fury but it came out in opposite way, i visited httyd fandom wiki page and i saw buffnut unnamed night fury as another individual. he is male, but it also stated that in that time night furies can be encountered quite many than it supposed to be. means there could have been females too, means night furies eggs, and because buffnut is berkians this means these night furies can be safe from grimmel because so did toothless with hiccup, plus berk has own hatchery, so even if these night furies somehow died, their eggs wont have the same fate as them. so i say there could be another night fury eggs although im not the developers so i dont know will they put it in store or not and usually emails that i gave to them from google play store did not end in good results. so still, dont get hopes up

That's the point of the petition! If we can get Toothless the OG fixed.. Then we can move along and fix the other dragons! There are so many dragons suffering but I believe Toothless is suffering the most! He has a middle tooth and his poor wings look so sore! If they can make beautiful animations for Toothless they can do it for all the dragons! But let's take one step at a time. Let's try and get the mascot fixed. I love Toothless. He inspired me to make Dark Claw. Dark Claw has a lot of meaning to me. It doesn't feel right to leave Toothless in this state. I buy the trial membership but even then it's starting to get boring. The Light Fury is stunning! So why can't Toothless get some TLC? He deserves it!
