Norse Mythology {Role-Play}
I turned to glare at her, my normally friendly and subdued personality falling away, "And I've never met a stable girl with such an attitude that makes her think she can talk to her superiors like that!" I snapped.
"And I've never met such an arrogant, hot-headed Valkyrie." I added, though without malice in my tone as the Valkyrie had used to speak to my friend. I still considered my own self superior to both, though.
I turned back to the fairy, "And I never met such a hallarious little mouse in my life."
I unsheathed my needle, glaring at her. Sure, it was only a needle, and she could easily kill me whereas the puncture of a needle would only itch and bleed. The Valkyrie couldn't get infected without the harmful bacteria dying on contact with her. But at least it was something....
I glowered at the pest, then burst out lauging, it was a cruel sarcastic laugh, not one you would have expected if you han't seen this side of me. "A needle, a needle, you really would fight me with a sewing implemint!"
I looked back cautiously, making sure Loki wasn't coming to the stables as well. He wasn't. he just stood there petting his horse. I breathed a sigh of relief. I didn't want to be with anyone right now. And I was still quite mad at everyone. He saw me looking back and grinned, and I just faced forward and clicked for Vali to keep going. We finally got back to the stables and I put Vali in his stall, untacked him, brushed him, and left him so he could sleep. I went out and started walking down the street, not really going anywhere, just going where my feet took me. I all of the sudden stopped and listened. I heard some people quarreling. I crept to the corner and looked around. It was the Skyla and the light fairy with a Valkyrie.
I flew up to her fave, and ((tried to)) drove the needle into her cheek, trying to show her just how much a needle could hurt.
I ((Tried to XD)) flicked the needle away after she satbed it into my cheek, it didn't hurt much, I'd had worse.
I hadn't been able to stick it in deep before she flicked it away. I stopped buzzing my wings, which by the way were bee wings, and let gravity do the work. I started thrumming my wings again near the ground, barely catching myself in time. I retrieved the needle, ready to stick her again.
"Wanna try that again? I'll remove my gloves though, it's getting a little hot in here, why is that? Oh that's right it's your head."
Frowning, I hurled the needle at her, aiming for her leg. I ducked under the seat in the turtle shell in case she decided to attack me.
"WHOA! WHOA! LADIES! LADIES! CALM YOURSELVES!" I intervened, stepping between them both, arms outstretched. "Now, is not the time OR place! So let's just calm, stop and breathe. Come now, you're better than this! It has taken a 'mere Asgardian' to prevent a Light Fairy and a Valkyrie from making themselves look like idiots! Not a great look! So, are we going to act like mature adults? Or is Lyall going to rip one of your legs off?" At the mention of his name, Lyall turned and growled ferociously at the Valkyrie. Please, don't kill me, I silently pleaded to both of them.
I glowerd at the fairy and plucked the needle from my leg, I then made to kick the tutrle shell away.
"HEY!" I yelled, stopping her from kicking the turtle shell. I pressed my hand against her shoulder, a bold and possibly VERY stupid move. "Just because you're a Valkyrie does NOT give you the right to act like a spolit brat. GROW UP! This is unecessary and hardly befitting of one with such a status as yours, so why don't you be the mature, responsible adult and BACK THE HECK OFF!" I shoved her back slightly, finishing my point. Wow, I really had a death with today, didn't I?!
I finally stepped out. This was getting out of hand and someone might get hurt. "Everyone, stop. Someone will get hurt, and how will you feel then?"
I wiped the smear of blood onto the cobblestones, and sheathed the needle again. I flinched at being threatened with a wolf. Any human could easily tear my legs off. I didn't like that thought.... I still dared to throw a walnut in her direction before settling down again.
I heard Kenna's rhetorical question yelled from down the street. "Well It's pretty obvious Miss Moody won't really care!" I remarked bluntly, referring to the Valkyrie. For heaven's sake Skyla, Stop! You're going to get yourself killed! I internally screamed at myself. Ah, what the heck. I just didn't care anymore.
I frowned. "Maybe we should all go home and cool off. Do all of you have places to stay?"
"Yes, I do. But I need to earn a living, that's why I'm here."
I saw her reasoning but looked away, ashamed to answer her question. "Nope." I muttered. Looking up, it was getting dark, fast. "It's alright, I'll go camp out in the woods for a night. It'll be fun." I answered, quietly. I noticed Lyall was still on the defensive, quietly growling away at the Valkyrie. "Lyall." He stopped instantly at the mention of his name, and I bent down to pick him up. Cradling him in my arms brought a smile to my face. His soft fur brushed against me as he leant against my chest, seemingly about to go to sleep. "Aw..." I murmured. Lyall was just so adorable.
I hesitated. I had plenty of room at my house, but I could see that Skyla was a bit embarrassed about it, and I barely knew her besides from seeing her around the stables and today. But I told them my address anyway. "If any of you need somewhere to stay. And If it get's too cold, you can just come and get some blankets and such at least." I say. "How about you come to dinner, it's getting late. And see what happens after that?" I suggest.
((Hey, I gotta go watch Once Upon a Time. I'll be back in a bit.))
Enjoy!
"Kenna, it's alright. It's hard enough as it is to feed a family without adding another mouth to the table! But thank you for the generous offer! I'll see you around!" I waved as I headed off towards the forest, now feeling like an utter dork after that very Uncomfortable conversation.
I knew how to make fires and get food, so I followed. I had walnuts and meatf, anyway. I wanted to make up for her loss of job.
I was aware of someone following me as I neared the edge of the woods. I looked back to see Bry following me. Lyall ran up to her, sniffing her transport and yipping cheerfully as a greeting, but not going near. I'd trained him so he could greet others but not get too in their faces, because funnily enough quite a lot of people freak out when a wolf cub runs up to them. "Why are you following me?" I asked, not in a nasty way. "I'll be alright on my own." I tried to reassure her.
((I'm going to find a pet on Asgard now.))
I flew back down in a stretch of forest, I walked around and then found a beatiful river! I sat down by it and put my hand in the water, I looked up and saw a small horse, a colt! He whinnied and balked away from me. I slowly pulled my hand from the water and sat down. He slowly came to the river and drank some, he then just stared at me. I slowly moved forward, he didn't react. I slowly carefully put my hand inside my pocket, I got out some berries and put them near. He slowly ate them, I reached forward and touched his muzzle, he balked a bit but didn't flee. I carefully stood up, and just now realized the consequences! How can I bring him to my homeland? How can I take care of him? How? I petted him and gave him a name, Rapid, I then realized something. What if I ask the unemployed stable-girl? I do have plenty of money. I'll find her and ask her. Maybe she'll say yes! I then walked around the woods, trying to see if she's here. ((Thats your cue! :) If you want me to change then I will. :)))
(Lol, go ahead and try. I ain't guaranteeung anything. This character has a mind and attitude of her own. I'm waiting on ginger to reply to my comment before I can respond, so you'll have to come find me. XD)
I couldn't find her in the woods, so I went out of them, I saw a small figure near to the woods! I ran toward it and it was the stable-girl, but she was busy trying to talk to the light fairie, so I hung back to wait.
"You think I'm the one acting immaturely? Maybe you should get you prioritys stright" Still I backed out when another person came over.
I saw Fleiri again and she and the light fairie pkus the stable girl were arguing, "Umm, ok, I'll just leave now if you are busy."
"Look, I appreciate that you want to try and help, but honestly I'm fine! Never liked that lot at the stables anyway...especially when the princes came to visit." Looking back at the city for a brief moment, I continued my journey into the woods, Lyall strolling beside me. Nobody would miss me anyway, so a night in the forest would be fun.
I saw that the stable girl finish the argument and walk off. Now I can talk to her! I ran up to her, "Umm, I have a question, could you look after my newly found horse? I can't take him to my place, nor can I stay here, could you take care of him? If needs must, I can pay you, will you agree?" I rocked back and forth on my heels as I waited for her response.
"Excuse me?! How am I supposed to look after it? I've been kicked out of my home, have no place of my own, no job and no food! How on Midgard do you expect me to do that, even if you did pay me? Honestly!" Well that just clicked a few of my buttons. I reached the edge of the forest and entered at a run, trying to get away from everyone as fast as possible!
After hearing about her prediciment I had to help, I flew after her, my two diffrent coulored wings beating hard as I gained speed, "Wait!" I skidded to a halt infront of her, useing the ground to stop more quickly, "I'm sorry about eairler. I just don't take kindly to insults." THe I rached into the pouch on my belt and drew out a handful of money (No idea of the currency :P) and held it out to her, "Thats my apology."
The valkyrie from earlier appeared in front of me, offering me money. I was tempted to take it, but i just couldn't. Money was scarce, i didn't have it in me to take it from someone unecessarily. "Its...alright...but thank you anyways. By the way, i didn't mean to insult you, i was just commenting on the fact that I'd never seen so many Valkyries in one day! Least of all talking to me!" I smiled sheepishly, tucking my hair behind my ears. "it should be me apologising."
"Nah it's fine, and are you sure, you can have it or... I can treat you to lunch, your choice." I smiled, "And yeah, normally we keep to ourseles I guess, though I tend to enjoy talking to others, I guess normal Asgairiens dont jusdge me on my wings."
"No, no, honestly! It's fine, thank you! I wouldn't want to humiliate you, an Asgardian dining with a Valkyrie. If you don't mind me asking, why do they judge you on your wings? They look great to me!" I asked, frowning. It was probably not my place to ask, but once again I let curiosity get the better of me. "What's your name, anyway? You never said. I'm Skyla!" I introduced myself, holding out a hand.
I smiled, "It's okay I'd be happy to treat you to lunch, I'm Fleiri grimá, just call me Fleiri though. Oh and my wings..." I spread the to show the two coulors, "Well, I guess it's just too difrent."
I had still followed, from farther behind. "If anything, they should make fun of my wings. I've just got bee's wings." I buzzed the four wings loudly. "Some even have butterfly wings, or beetle wings. I've got these noisy bee wings."
The familiar buzzing of Bry caught my attention. I turned my head and waved slightly as I spoke to, who I now knew as, Fleiri. "Nice to meet you." I sighed as Lyall came in between us, looking up at us as if to say, 'Hello! Remember me? I am here you know!' "Oh and this is Lyall, sorry for threatenign that he'd rip your leg off earlier." I stifled a laugh. I threatened a Valkyrie with a wolf cub, wow.
I then just walked off, I put Riptide in the stable Loki's horse is. But he's still in there! He turned around, "What are you doing here Dark Searcher?" "I need to put my horse in a stable, and I can't bring him to my home." "No indeed, if you pay then he may stay in here, what is his name?" "Riptide, bye!" I put some coins on a table, put Riptide in a stable, then flew back to my place, then fell asleep.
"It's alright, he's cute by the way." I turned to the pixie, "And no more poking me with sewing instuments!"
Is there any male role?
XD Nope! Not yet!
"Thanks! He loves people!" I picked him up and he instantly attempted to lick my face. Through laughs of trying to avoid his slobber, I spoke to the Valkyrie. "You can say hi if you want!" But she'd already turned to Bry. "Hey Bry! 'sup? Lyall apologises for threatening to tear your leg off!"
I was not hungry, so I went back to the stables and got Vali out. I wanted to go for a night ride. I was about to walk in when I noticed someone was still there. I sighed. Why was anyone else here this late? I just walked in, about to go to my horse's stall when I saw a colt. "Aww," I said softly, and reached out to pet it. "You weren't here earlier." I muttered. "No, he wasn't." Said a voice. I nearly leaped out of my boots and I leaped around. It was Loki. Ugh, about the last person on Asgard I wanted to see after the earlier incident. I just stared at him, and he chuckled. "An Angel of Death brought him in a few minutes ago." I looked back at the colt. "His name is 'Riptide'." Said Loki when I said nothing. I finally turned to look at him. "Why are you here?" I asked. "I believe I should be asking you the same thing," He said. I just looked at him again. "That doesn't answer my question. Why is a Prince of Asgard here at this time?" He laughed again and said, "Well, as it seems there is no one else to groom my horse at the moment. I came to do it myself. Why are you here...?" It sounded like he was asking my name, but since he didn't directly ask it, I didn't say it. "I'm going out riding." I said curtly. I walked over to my stall and tryed to ignore Loki while I was tacking up Vali, but he came over anyway. "At this time of night?" He said curiously. I put on Vali's staddle and said, "Yes. I want to go riding and get away from everyone." I said pointedly. He didn't say anything for a while, then patted Vali on the nose. "You have a nice horse," was all he said. "Thank you," I said, warming for a moment. I finally finished and got on the saddle. "You're Majesty," I said nodding. And I clicked for Vali to run out the stable door. We ran through the empty street out to the valley and to the forest. The cool wind on my face felt great while I thought about my day. I had saved Thor's horse, and met Loki. Twice. How was that? I had never met him before, and now I all of the sudden met him two times in one day. I kept Vali going and then we slowed down. I put him to a stop and streached my legs. I started to yawn when all of the sudden I heard voices. It sounded like the girls from earlier! I shook my head in wonder at meeting so many new people and seeing them multiple times in one day. I took Vali and lead him through the trees a bit until I saw them all. I smiled and said, "Hi," a bit awkwardly. "Sorry, I was just riding and I heard you guys."
A clatter of hooves could be heard as I turned to see Kenna trotting up towards the woods. "Kenna!" I waved to her. "Heya!" I motioned for her to come and join us. "Gosh, I come out here to have a peaceful, isolated night and it turns into a night party!" I laughed, shaking my head in disbelief. "Well what do you girls wanna do? We could go have some fun if you want?" I asked with a mischievous smirk.
"What type of fun?" I asked my smirk mirrioing hers.
A grin slowly creeped to my face. Just the type of thing I liked!
