Currently we can mute the music and MOST of the background noise. Unfortunately we can't mute ALL sound as of yet though.

With every mute option I still hear: Fish splashing, Fishing reel being cast, level up's for farm, player and dragon, collection of crops, and there may be others I haven't found.

As I need to hear say, other programmes giving alerts it isn't always a viable option to just mute my laptop itself.. and say I want to play my own music in the background (I know the game does not recommend this but I have found no problems with lag when running two or three other programmes other than having another tab open).

I should not have to choose between no sounds at all from anything and having to have disruptions in what I'm listening to otherwise if I also wish to play the game; (The games sounds are actually MUCH louder than my iTunes too so the option of just 'turning up the volume of the other programmes' is unavailable)

I've run across this issue,

I've run across this issue, as well. For the moment I turn the sound down on my Chrome itself. (If you use Windows, you can turn it down under the Mixer on the sound thing. Not sure how if you use Mac or something else.)

It would be nice to turn off all the sound, I agree. And/or give us the options of choosing how loud they are, instead of just on/off.

(I did not realize that it didn't mute all sound first time I tried. Can you imagine how high I jumped when I harvested a crop? To the ceiling I went!)

Unfortunately FireFox doesn't

Unfortunately FireFox doesn't have the option to turn sounds off for just the browser, and turning the sound down on my computer itself turns down ALL my sounds, some of which I do still want (i.e. I like to play my own music while playing or run an episode of Doctor Who in the background on my computer) which means if I want 0 sounds from the game I get 0 sounds for everything

Hmmmm. I tried on my

Hmmmm. I tried on my computer, and it was being cranky at me. I had the volume all the way down on the Firefox icon, and it apparently ignored that.

Installing Chrome just to be able to affect sound does seem a bit extreme. But...but...Doctor Who! D:
