Z: Artificer, Assassin. Miriela: Warlord, Knight

Miriela tapped Raven's shoulder from behind and smiled "I'm already here"  she said to the assassin.

"I take it Z's in trouble again" the surprisingly flat chested barmaind said hearing the sounds of screaming from beyond the door, "anyway you're late for work, the three of you go into the back and get changed".

Miriela walked towards the door that led to the staff area and opened it motioning for the two girls to come inside.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"What are you doing!" Ishmael said as he caught up

"The princess is inside and our allies are safe, I was just cleaning up"

Z was tired of waiting for the gas to disperse so he turned the dial on his cannon and sent a bright spark into the gas igniting it in a massive fireball that scorched the ground.

"Well looks like cleanup is over" Z said to Ishmael "Drinks are on me" as the two of them walked into the bar.

Zed and Xayah

[Zed]

The mercenary muttered something cockily in reply to Heles’ statement, “That’s rich coming from someone who just called her brother a chicken.”

“I’m his sister, only I’m allowed to mock him” Heles made clear.

Harvan then signaled with his hand for Heles to quieten down, “Okay, okay, I got the gist of it, Hissy fit. Now shut up and calm your nerves while I talk to your lil bro.”

The black haired girl crossed her arms and created an unimpressed expression, “you know your name calling is rather annoying-” Heles declared, averting her gaze.

Zed nudged his step-sister and mumbled something, “Sister don’t, he’s a mercenary remember” the boy warned.

"Kay, so you don't have much pleasant experiences with the fancy army. Now that just makes things more confusing," the redhead crossed his arms, arching his brow, "First things first, Kostis and I are not here to take you to whatever this exploit your sis was talking about. Y'see, due to the mysterious murders, the head knight decided it was a real great idea for the knights to work with the assassins. We'd met up, discussed over our moves, then Blakesley ordered us to retrieve you. My point is, if you're not technically a knight as your sister claimed then why would Blakesley wanted you to join the fray? Certainly the guy sees you as more than a killing machine or whatever."

“Assassins and Knights? But I thought the two sides despised each other” Heles interrupted speaking with calmer tone than previously.

“Actually Sir, I’d like to know that myself. I have little to no combat experience, what use would I be?” Zed shrugged. After some thought Zed thought up of a possible explanation, “Maybe my sister is right, he may be wanting me to help due to my...ability. But I have no control over it, I don’t even know how to use it...it just happens…” Zed said softly. “Argh! Why’d I have to be cursed with that stupid power!” Zed cried out, slamming his fist into the nearby wall only to quickly return his fist after feeling the pain of hitting the brick , “Ow!”

“Sir, you are correct to assume that I am not here to take your son away for the reasons he and the young woman may think. I’m afraid it’s something else altogether. A mission of sorts was issued earlier today involving the murders throughout the kingdom and your son is unfortunately one of the those chosen to participate in it due to his... ability” Kotsis explained

“...I see” The old man said with his back turned as he was stirring the tea. Once it was made he walked towards the oak table in the centre of the room with two cups of tea, “...Why are you still stood, please take a seat” Gin requested as he sat on the seat opposite from where Kotsis was stood and placed a cup in front of him. “Hmm, that ability sure has brought Zed an awful lot of trouble, so much so that he sees it as a curse” Gin said after taking a sip from the cup, he then extended his index finger which had ring on it, which he stared at for quite some time before raising his head. “May I be informed on the details of this mission?” He asked.

[Xayah]

Syle wasted little time and began to thoroughly examine the room, he was quick to find minor details that were presumably missed by the guards and also came up with possible explanations as to how the killer managed to assassinate the prince, though all his ideas seemed illogical after some thought. The blue haired assassin then made a cold remark, “Hmmp, it'd be a lot easier to decipher where the killer came from by seeing exactly how the body was placed when it happened and how the wounds and gore spread out around it. It'd be nice right about now if the murderer made a fresh kill we'd be able to go and check out."

“I suppose that would be easier, we’d have a lot more evidence to work with. However, Draoma isn’t exactly small. The kill could take place anywhere and it could take a few days to reach the scene, I suggest we try to find something in common between all his current victims. Knowing what the killer is after will greatly narrow down our search.”

Wallace and Ishmael, Knights

Wallace

The body and most of the gory sign may have been removed but some signs still there and even if there's none, Wallace would still fel unease like he was now. So he lingered behind when Syle looking around the crime scene. The guardian eyes follow the movement of the assassin, more out of curious and hopeful if he would find anything that will help them than being skeptical.

He listened to Syle's theories, up until he suggested to wait for another murder to happen, just like how it has been said during the meeting, Xayah, too, seems to go along with the idea. Wallace voiced his opinion again, more urging now that he's with two person his ages and not Blakesley "But...that's bad! It's bad! We shouldn't let someone else get hurt anymore than this! Can't you...I mean what if the killer can go through walls" He knew how insane it would sound, but it's pretty reasonable for him "Your leader got killed to right? He would have known or able to fight back if it's something most assassin are well aware off, he could have been overpowered, why can't we investigate on him as well, instead for waiting for the next one?"

Ishmael

True to his words, there're no sign of Mariela and the others suffercating on the ground once the smoke began to clear, although Ishmael still grimmace at the predicament of the other assassins. He know it still unsaved to approach andd it's likely that he have to wait in unbarable silent yet again alone with Z, the older man however seemed to ran out of patient and cleared the smoke himself using some kind of special modified cannon

"The drink is on me" He said, as he walked in to the bar.

"I do not think drinking in a time like this would be wise for our protocol" Ishmael frowned at the idea. He doesn't have enough friend to hang out in the pub often (Wallace would bring him and the others to eat out sometime but it's never this kind of place) and the selected few time had ended rather badly for him. Ishmael's never the one to master the drinking.

Plus, the idea of him drinking with the assassin sounds insane, and he still bother greatly by the attitude of this one.

But he like the idea of checking on Miriela and Omisan and he guess that female assassin too, to see if they're alright, the number of the unconcious body outside the pub concern him. So he's quick to walk into the bar right after Z, looking around for any sign of them safe and sound "Princess? Miss Omisan?"

Havran Frieden - Scout

“Assassins and knights? But I thought the two sides despised each other,” Heles remarked, having seemingly calmed down.

"They still do. It's just desperate times called for desperate measures," Havran said, shrugging.

“Actually Sir, I’d like to know that myself. I have little to no combat experience, what use would I be?” Zed shrugged. The assassin was about to voice his opinion before Zed beat him to it, “Maybe my sister is right, he may be wanting me to help due to my...ability. But I have no control over it, I don’t even know how to use it...it just happens…” Zed said softly.

Havran's amber eyes slightly widened in response. He felt his mind shuffling through his memories as if it was triggered by what Zed had explained. It successfully landed on one vague memory, one the redhead barely recalled ever happened. However, it was enough to invoke emotional pain so agonizing it threatened to burst out of him.

“Argh! Why’d I have to be cursed with that stupid power!” Zed cried out, slamming his fist into the nearby wall only to quickly return his fist after feeling the pain of hitting the brick, “Ow!”

Havran blinked his eyes a few times as though he had been slapped across the face. Zed's foolish action had snapped him out of his reverie which he was profusely thankful of. The assassin swiftly regained his composure, beckoning his brain to think over Zed's statement as means of diversion.

"From the sound of it, I wager this ability of yours is highly dangerous. I don't think Blakesley chose you solely based on that then. I mean if I were him, I would choose someone safer and more experienced," Havran surmised.

"Anyway, since we'll never know Blakesley's true reason unless we ask the old man himself, maybe we should do something about that ability of yours before you become the next serial killer. So, what's it like? Like, what'll happen to you when it activates or something?"

Lyra The Assassin (Duelist)

"I'm right here." Miriela rapped Raven on the shoulder.

Raven blinked at her, then looking away. As the adrenaline faded from her body, pain set in. Her head pounded an her should ached. The ice did little to help.

"Princess? Miss Osmian?"

Ishmal followed by Z entered the oub. Finally the boys were here.

"I understand that you care only for the Princess, however, I would enjoy a little regard." Lyra said bitterly, although almost playfully. She was messing with the knight.

"...I see." The old man replied as he strode towards the center of the room where a wooden table was placed. “...Why are you still stood, please take a seat.”
Kostis stepped forward to pull out a chair opposite to that the other man had settled into on the other side of the table. The knight allowed himself to sit down though his posture was straight-backed as the old man placed a cup of drink in front of him.
“Hmm, that ability sure has brought Zed an awful lot of trouble, so much so that he sees it as a curse.”  The man said, examining a ring on his finger as he sipped his tea. “May I be informed on the details of this mission?”
Kostis didn't drink from his own teacup at first, though brought it closer to himself and allowed his hand to cradle against the warm outside of the cup as he considered his answer.
"The head knight decided it to be time to track the killer down, with the late prince's untimely death a few days ago." Kostis began, finally allowing himself to lift the warm mug to his lips and drink from it, somewhat surprised to find it so delicious, before continuing. "He had left the castle to go to a meeting, only to reveal that the royal knights would be expected to work together with... assassins. He and the lead assassin seem to think because both groups have a common enemy that they should be able to work together to track down the murderer. Though the idea sounds nonviable, I believe it also shows that the kingdom is in more trouble than we originally thought could be fathomable. I myself do not know what Sir Blakesley is thinking he will gain by having your son sent on the mission, but it seems he thinks the boy will be useful on the task of tracking the murderer down."
Kostis paused his speech for a moment.
"I won't lie and say the operation won't be dangerous, if anything the contrary, but though there's no reason for you to believe the word of someone such as I, especially when I was the one sent to retrieve Zed for the mission, I will do my utmost to protect and bring your son back safe once this is all over."

[Syle||Ranger]

"Something in common," Syle muttered in echo to Xayah's words as he leaned back against the cool wall, arms crossed. "Finding something in common between the victims will be difficult, at least at first glance. Some of them easily connect, even the prince and the assassin as they are both highly difficult people to get to, save for different reasons. But then you have the common scamps to think about. What's impressive about killing a farmer on his last dollar? Anyone with a bone to pick could drag a normal person into an alley and kill them, so why would the assassin find need to kill people such as that? The murderer doesn't seem to care about gender, race, background, rank, or even age, apparently."
Syle finished in reference to the prince's murder. Suddenly Wallace broke in, cutting off Syle's current thoughts.
"But... that's bad! It's bad!" The chubby knight said. "We shouldn't let someone else get hurt anymore than this! Can't you... I mean what if the killer can go through walls. Your leader got killed too right? He would have known or able to fight back if it's something most assassin are well aware off, he could have been overpowered, why can't we investigate on him as well, instead for waiting for the next one?"
"Hm, calm down." Syle responded, but then considered the other young man's words. "I don't know about the 'walking through walls' part, but you have a point. I guess we'll go to the other murder spot and check the place over as it's probably been less spiffed up than this one. Though I don't personally know exactly where the h.ell the assassin's body was found, so unless either of you two do, we'll have to ask around."

Z: Artificer, Assassin. Miriela: Warlord, Knight

"Z where were you?" both the barmaid and Miriela spoke up when Z and ishmael entered the pub. Z simply smiled and fiddled with his cannon. Outside the door the trees shook and the sounds of bodies scraping the earth could be heard as the bodies of the captured assassins were dragged up to the door by thin wires wll of them leading under the barrel of Z's cannon.

"Fishing" Z replied to the two of them before pointing to the pile of assassins outside the door "and it looks like a caught a bit too much, does anyone have a cart?"

--------------------------------------------------------------------

"I'll get someone from the palace to load the assassins into the cells" Miriela replied before stomping her way over to the pile and deftly pulling the Frogman, bound up in rope and amber, out of it. He was still unconscious.

"I want everything he knows" Miriela told Z who smiled evilly and began dragging the Frogman to one of the back rooms.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Z dragged the Frogman up to a small door on a side of the wall and threw him down the chute that it opened into. It was easier than dragging him down the stairs. The Tipsy Queen was one of Z's safehouses, as well as his base of operations of course that also meant that under the Tipsy Queen was Z's lab where abominations that never should have been were stored as well as various tools, chemicals, and information extraction devices. The chute that the Frogman had fallen into led to a chamber full of water, a robotic arm had strapped a facemask and an oxygen line to the frogman so that he could breathe. Z let the Frogman wake up naturally.

"Where am I?" the Frogman said eyeing the brightly lit interior of the tank "Am I underwater? That's right the princess will no doubt be coming into the pond, I have to kill her"

Z listened patiently as the Frogman reminded himself of what he had to do, a recording phonograph carefully recording every word the Frogman said. First the information he could get out of the man, next would be the fun part.

((before we get onto that, Garth, I'm not trying to be nitpicky as I may not have been clear about it in the first place, but I would like to remind you that this rp takes place in a medieval type time period and although I know your character can invent and engineer things, I can't really see some of the stuff you've written being a reality when that sort of technology wouldn't be fathomable until hundreds or even thousands of years in the future.

I'm more lax on the weapons because I am aware guns and some of the traps themselves wouldn't be realistic for such a time period either, so that's fine, but please try to keep other things to very miminal technology as it doesn't go with the setting, such as the phonograph, listening devices, robotic things, breathing gear, etc. ^^;

Wolf and Star's post about how they don't even have the means to store ice in the warm seasons is more accurate to the rather crude and simple (it terms of modern technology) time period.

I don't really mind the idea of your character's inventions, but please keep what I said in mind for your future posts as I'd rather keep most things to how I intended the time period to be like.

---

as for what to reveal, I have something in mind about him being a copycat killer with a bit of info on the real deal. if you guys don't mind I can take control of the Frogman (for the time being; you guys can add some stuff of your own about it too, as long as it's within reason) and escalate this idea with more details c:))

((should we be concern out the warp speed of our "fishing" part though? Like not that i can't keep up but compared to investigating part and recruiting the reaver part, i'm not sure anymore if our characters just being very very productive or there has been some sort of time lap going on.....ok actually on the second thought a lot did happened on the reaver part, still this is just my two cent))

((you have a point. I think the main reason is that since there are 3 different parts going on right now, it's difficult to keep them entirely synced up. the fishing part seemed to move along so quickly is because everyone involved seemed to post a lot in a relatively short period of time before the fight ended and moved on. I just let it run it's course since I don't have a character currently there to keep things at a certain pace, but I'll see if I can keep the timing more equal in the future.

I also won't make it so the info is extremely productive, bc as I said, I don't want too much revealed this early into the rp. the main stuff will probably be revealed further in and when the groups aren't so split apart.))

A wild post appeared!!!

((Well, I guess they could use salt to store ice for a bit longer, although I'm not sure how else they could store it... e.e I'm curious now...

I looked it up. They transported it from the mountains and stores it in this contraption called an Ice cellar which is Natrually freezing. So, the pub could have ice, but I imagine it would be pretty expensive.))

Wallce thought a a few second "Maybe Blackjack knows? Isn't it what makes him let us work together in the first place, he must have known" The guardian suggested

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ishmael

Miriela(along with what he supposed would be the barmaid) imediatally respond to Z entering, again Ishmael couldn't help but feel tiny bit bothered by this

"I would enjoy a little regard" The female assassin remarked, teasingly. Ishmael ignored her, but inwardly noted that it's true he doesn't know this assassin name yet. He still doesn't trust her but she really did protecting the princess, and he should be a little thankful for that...or not.

"Are you alright?" He asked, no one in particular, while his eyes scanning for any damage, Miriela seemed fine, thanks all maker. Miss Omisan's a little worn out. He would offer her something but the stuff he had are already for imediate, temporally treatment wish the fencer has taken care of by herself already, the same goes with the girl assassin who got cold mug on her sprained shoulder...cold mug, huh weird. Regardless, they were lucky and he cursed himself for letting these girls handled almost twice more assassin he took down today. Ishmael himself though made it out mostly unharmed(safe for the cut on his cheek which has began to smart) know he's not in the exactly best shape. All this running around trees from trees began to take a toll on him, especially now that his Adrinarine rush had faded. His body ache and he's breathing funny. Ishmael tried not to think that it's some of the effect from the gas he might have inhaled. He leaned on one of corner, trying his best not to look vulnerable in this state and keeping his eyes peel.

"I will get someone from the palace to load this assassins into the cell" Miriela said as she walked toward the pile Z has gathered in a matter of second, Ishmael jumped from his spot at her recklessness for walking straight into the people who had tried to ki,ll her marely minutes ago, disabled or not, not to mention the idea of her going back to the castle right now while leaving the other to interigated the criminals here, she's too keen on finding the murderer of her brother, he's sure of it.

"I can do that for you, your highness" Ishmael offered "Or at the very least let me acompany you, these assult may have been taking care off but it would still be dangerous for you to travel alone" He watched Z dragging the puddleman into the backroom and wonder if he should be worry about that as well.

Zed trembled at thought of becoming a killer, he averted his gaze and shrugged, “...I don’t entirely know. My mind goes completely blank and I am never able to recall whatever occurs during that period.”

Heles remained silent but she was clearly concerned about Zed, she’d only witnessed Zed’s ability once before but remembers every last bit of it. His personality completely changes to one she doesn’t like and is afraid of;He goes from shy and innocent to a blood thirsty killer.

Kotsis lifted the cup of tea before coming up with an answer to Gin’s request, “The head knight decided it to be time to track the killer down, with the late prince's untimely death a few days ago."

“So they’re going after the killer eh? It sounds reasonable considering the threat of this assassin if high, seeing as he was also able to take down a high ranking assassin. At least, that’s what I’ve heard in rumors” Gin said, leaning back in his seat.

I myself do not know what Sir Blakesley is thinking he will gain by having your son sent on the mission, but it seems he thinks the boy will be useful on the task of tracking the murderer down," Kotsis added.

Gin’s eyes widened in response, he looked towards a frame hung up on the wall, from behind the glass was stored a Kitsune mask and a katana, “Assassins eh?...who would’ve thought to two sides would come together.” he whispered, remembering his past life as an infamous assassin in a foreign country before he started growing old and sought refuge from the many organizations that were after him by escaping his country by boat and ended up washing up on shores of Draoma, along with his youngest daughter.

Gin was broken away from the memory of his past when Kotsis vowed to protect his step-son, "I won't lie and say the operation won't be dangerous, if anything the contrary, but though there's no reason for you to believe the word of someone such as I, especially when I was the one sent to retrieve Zed for the mission, I will do my utmost to protect and bring your son back safe once this is all over."

“No, I believe you entirely. Even with the little time I’ve spent observing you, your heart is that of a guardian angel, after all, I witnessed your act of kindness with those two children earlier. Besides, I can't even stop you, perhaps if I was in my prime, but I’m an old man now. In all honesty, Zed isn’t my real son, I found him long ago in an abandoned fishing boat, he was all alone with nothing but stuffed snake toy with his name printed underneath it to keep him company.  But, for some reason, after spending so much time with him I feel as though he actually belongs to me despite knowing the facts, though Zed himself is still unaware of this.” Gin explained, leaving his seat and walking upto the curtain and opening the blinds allowing sunlight to pour in through the windows, Gin placed his hands behind his back and stared into the horizon. A gentle smile came to the old man’s face, “Very well, I’ll allow you to take Zed. I’m entrusting his safety to you now, knight...However, there is one thing…” Gin said, tilting his head towards Kotsis when making his final remark. He removed the golden snake ring from his index finger and walked towards Kotsis, “I suppose I should be giving you this, it’ll be of better use to you than it will to me now.” the old man remarked cryptically, handing the blue haired knight the ring. “It’s a ring crafted by a sorcerer back from my homeland, when I told him of Zed’s condition I had him send me this by boat. It’s connected magically to a pendant worn by Zed, you can use it to subdue Zed if he ever goes out of control. All you have to do is utter this incantation…” Gin informed, teaching Kotsis the incantation. “I will warn you, it can be painful and strenuous when using it, but it’s for the greater good. Also, promise me to use it discreetly and make sure it’s purpose isn’t revealed to anyone, especially the royal army. I’m sure we both know the lengths they’d go to to get their hands on an object which can control Zed, I’m trusting you” he warned.

[Xayah]

Wallace seemed to detest Syle’s suggestion of letting another person be killed for mere evidence, Xayah wasn’t in agreement with the knight but expected such a response from him. Syle then revealed something new to Xayah.

“Finding something in common between the victims will be difficult, at least at first glance.

“A farmer as well? Just how long have I been locked away?” the female assassin said whilst facepalming with a smile. “Well, an assassin that doesn’t discriminate is going to be difficult to track down.” Xayah said, tutting at the end of her remark.

"I don't know about the 'walking through walls' part, but you have a point. I guess we'll go to the other murder spot and check the place over as it's probably been less spiffed up than this one. Though I don't personally know exactly where the h.ell the assassin's body was found, so unless either of you two do, we'll have to ask around." Syle said in agreement with Wallace.

“Well I don’t know myself, but I do know of a location deep within the western forest. There’s a ruin over there which is regularly visited by assassins. It’s shrouded in an near eternal darkness caused by the dense vegetation and many trees, there’s also lots of rivers, dark caves, abandoned camp sites and is infested with wolves and bears. It’s the perfect spot to make a kill since no one will ever find out, most people are too afraid to visit and if they do the bodies are never found because either they’re eaten by the animals of washed away by the rivers...or they end up dying themselves,” Xayah suggested, the assassin shrugged, “Of course I’m merely guessing. But considering the facts, I’d bet it’s in that place. But like I said, we gotta hurry before the body disappears...if it’s there.”

Z pulled a few levers to move the metal arm inside the glass tank using wires and hooked the Frogman into a set of restraints. Using the same arm he pulled an obsidian knife from the place where it was hanging inside the tank and deftly controlled the knife to cut through the cloth and spider silk that bound him letting the Frogman's swords fall away out of his reach.

"are you awake?" Z politely asked the Frogman

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I can do that for you, your highness" Ishmael offered "Or at the very least let me acompany you, these assult may have been taking care off but it would still be dangerous for you to travel alone"

A row of metal carriages pulled up to the front of the Tipsy Queen, apparently Z's explosions had attracted the ire of the lesser knights as well as the kingdom's law enforcement and the commotion had drawn them to the pub. Upon seeing the Pile of Assassin's along with Princess Miriela, Ishmael and Rynn they immediately came to the conclusion that the Princess and the two knights had been the ones to capture the mountain of assassins that was in front of the door.

"Princess?" the guard said to Miriela who was drinking from the  "These assassins have been plaguing the area for a while now. It's nice to see that we have the castle's support"

"Please transport these assassins to the castle immediately, Rynn, Ishmael and I will accompany you" Miriela said to the guard, she then turned to Raven and gave her a note "Raven can you wait here for our friend to come out of the back and bring him when he's done?"

The guard then turned to Ishmael and Rynn and said "thank you for bringing these assassins to justice sir and madam knight"

Kostis was struck a bit stunned for a moment at the unexpected compliment, but he listened patiently as the old man told the story of how he had come to find Zed as a child. The man had walked over to the windows as he recounted the event but when he finished, he turned to pull the ring Kostis had earlier noticed off from his finger, holding it out for the latter to accept. The knight held his hand out for the piece of jewelry, at first uncertain of what the man was giving it to him for, but didn't attempt to question the action as Gin began to explain the ring's use.
“Very well, I’ll allow you to take Zed. I’m entrusting his safety to you now, knight... However, there is one thing... I suppose I should be giving you this, it’ll be of better use to you than it will to me now. It’s a ring crafted by a sorcerer back from my homeland, when I told him of Zed’s condition I had him send me this by boat. It’s connected magically to a pendant worn by Zed, you can use it to subdue Zed if he ever goes out of control. All you have to do is utter this incantation...”
Kostis concentrated closely as the man uttered the words that controlled the ring's power. The knight repeated the conjuration silently in his mind several times to help him remember the words as Gin continued on with a warning.
“It will warn you, it can be painful and strenuous when using it, but it’s for the greater good. Also, promise me to use it discreetly and make sure it’s purpose isn’t revealed to anyone, especially the royal army. I’m sure we both know the lengths they’d go to to get their hands on an object which can control Zed, I’m trusting you."
Kostis suddenly felt the weight of everything the man had told and revealed to him settle on his shoulders. Not only would he be possessing something the restaurant owner claimed to be as powerful as it was, but it was a magical object to top it off. If anyone gained knowledge of what the ring could be used for, it could end badly in any number of ways.
The knight then thought over Gin's warning of what the army would do to hold such an object, one to control the likes of the Reaver, of all things.

Kostis had to suppress a shiver as he carefully placed the ring on his index finger, his own yellow gaze looking down at the twisted golden shape of the band making up the image of a snake, a green jewel encrusted upon the serpent's head.
"Thank you for entrusting this to me, sir." Kostis finally said, lifting himself out of his chair to stand as well. "I promise I won't tell anyone of the function and only to use it only to keep your son and those around him safe."

((your post is okay, chameishida.))
"Maybe Blackjack knows? Isn't it what makes him let us work together in the first place, he must have known." Wallace suggested.
"Makes sense, though I don't know if that sleaze is still around," Syle commented before Xayah came up with a suggestion of her own.
It’s the perfect spot to make a kill since no one will ever find out, most people are too afraid to visit and if they do the bodies are never found because either they’re eaten by the animals of washed away by the rivers... or they end up dying themselves. Of course I’m merely guessing. But considering the facts, I’d bet it’s in that place. But like I said, we gotta hurry before the body disappears... if it’s there.”
Syle widened his narrow eyes slightly.
"Huh. I've heard of the place, though never bothered to visit. Might just make sense, though. Doubt an assassin of Capricorn's standing, even with the murderer after him, would allow himself to be caught and struck dead on the city streets, so maybe he was killed there instead." Syle pushed himself away from the wall, giving the room they stood in one last sweep with his blue eyes before turning towards the door. "Well, might as well give the place a shot, anyway. Beats being in this over glorified heaphole."

---

The Frogman began coming back to consciousness as Z placed him in restraints and cut Frogman's weapons out of his reach.
"Are you awake?" Frogman looked blearily towards the voice that asked the question, half nodding in correspondence and seeming to not be entirely sure of where he was or why, nor the events that had taken place before had been knocked senseless.
Slowly the Frogman seemed to recover and his eyes widened as he looked around where he was being held captive.
"Where am I?" The Frogman asked, slowly gathering his bearings as he tried to move in his restraints only to find himself unable to break away from them.

"...I don’t entirely know. My mind goes completely blank and I am never able to recall whatever occurs during that period,” Zed replied, averting his gaze and shrugged. He was trembling, afraid of the idea of unconsciously performing murder. Havran couldn’t blame him; it was a dreadful thought, taking lives without even realizing it. The assassin reached out and ruffled Zed’s silver locks.
“Forget I asked. Sorry I pried too much,” Havran apologized, smiling as he pulled away his hand, “For compensation, what about this good ol' mercenary teach you some combat skills? You did say you’re rather inexperienced and since we’ll be working together, that’ll benefit both of us. Though, I suppose Kostis would give you a more proper military tutelage, being a knight and all.”

Lyra The Assassin (Duelist)

Lyra wasn't paying too much attention, but suddenly everyone was moving. Slowly filing it a hidden doorway. Down a flight of stairs and into a mechanically designed base of operations.

"Cool." Lyra breathed as she looked around at the gagets and gizmos. S

he may or may not of pressed a few big, red buttons. You are not supposed to press big red buttons, this is why Lyra could not resist. She had no idea what they did- maybe nothing, or if they did actually trigger something, it couldn't be pleasurable. Lyra wiggled her way through her group, squeezing past Rynn and the other knight until she came to stand by Z. Raven pulled her hood up and cloth mask on, settling for a glare.

The group stood in a semi circle around the assasian. He was bound it ropes and some amber, probably Z's doing. The assasian groggily opened his eyes, blinked a few times to get the barring of his surroundings. Lyra snorted. A well trained assasian cuod be in deep sleep one minute, then wide awake and half way across the block the next.

"Where am i?" The assasian started, straining against his bound. Lyra smiled from beneath her mask.

"If he doesn't talk, allow me to convince him." It was almost a question. She whispered this to Z, placng the cold beer mug down.

It didn't take long for the rest of their cohort to arrive. "Princess? Miss Omasin?" Rynn recognized the voice as Ishmael's and retraced her steps back to the door, on the way passing Raven, who teased the seeker for his dismissal of her presence. Rynn couldn't really blame her, though most of the knights and assassins didn't even know each other's names at the moment. Both barmaid and princess questioned the assassin Z's whereabouts. The man merely smirked and said "I went fishing. Seems that I caught too much. Anyone have a cart?" It was then that Rynn truly noticed the heap of dead bodies by the back door, no doubt the result of another of Z's little trinkets. What else did he happen to have up his sleeves?

Miriela quickly sent Z off to... whatever was below the Tipsy Queen to interrogate the frog man, Raven in tow. Before Rynn could even begin to comment, more people arrived at the scene, this time knights. Rynn watched in silence as Miriela ordered that the dead assassins be taken to the castle and stated that herself, Ishmael, and Rynn would then follow. The knights thanked them for taking care of the assassins, mentioning how nice it was to have the castle's support, and did as they were told. Rynn merely nodded throughout the rest of the event, saving her energy. She took a seat in the carriage that herself and the others would be riding, eager to return to the castle. That gash on her leg would need attention from someoe who actually knew what they were doing, and she was wondering if the other knights - and assassins - had gotten any leads on the killer at all.

"Not yet" Z whispered into Lyra's ear, "I'll tell you when I need you until then stay back and don't touch anything"

The room was dimly lit so that Z and Lyra's faces were hidden from view but the Frogman's face was in full view of the two assassins. Z had a plan, as hw always did.

"Where am I?" the Frogman asked

"A medical facility" Z replied making a perfect impression of the voice of a young girl "one of the few left that use magic. You've sustained quite a few wounds in your last fight so we put you in a healing tank. The restraints are for your own benefit we don't want you harming yourself"

Wallace

Wallace listen to the description of the place and tries to imagine after it, it seemed like a scary place ,obviously but at the same time  wonderous, well like Syle said, better than the alternative. He nodded along and follow after the assassins.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ishmael

Ishmael signed in relived when the cart's being pulled over right on queue, This really saved the time and energy the worn out knight would have to spare. He rised his eyebrow a little when the guard mentioned these people have plagued the area for so long now, does this mean they're not related to the murderur they're after? That person's currently the biggest mystery Draoma had in years and was feared because of this, and yet these guys going around causing reckus to the people in this area. True they can't be rule out but Ishmael has a feeling that they're not going to find what they're after this soon

It bothered slightly to Ishmael too that the guard thought they came to take care of this guys specifically, probably after numberous cry of help from these people when it fact they only came for because of the princess and her plan. He doesn't want to take credit for any of this especially the fact that more than half of them's taking care of by the two assassin that were with them. "We have our supports, we would not have made it out this well  without them" He said grimly, cast a glance toward where Raven(so that's her name) and where Z when off, that's the closest ishmael is too expressing gratitude toward the assassins.

He help the guard load the unconcious assassins up in the cart before hopping after Ryn and Miriela.

[Zed]

Surprisingly, after Zed had explained what the ability feels like when it occurs, Harvan reached out and ruffled his silky white hair. Zed was shocked, he wasn’t expecting him to do that, it was a little embarrassing, which made his cheeks go red, but it felt comforting at the same time.

Though, I suppose Kostis would give you a more proper military tutelage, being a knight and all.” He offered.

Zed first considered the request until he came to a conclusion, if he learned how to fight maybe then he’d be able to protect his family, “U-Um, yes, that would be most beneficial. Thank you for offering to teach me Sir.” Zed bowed.

What are you getting yourself into Zed?...You idiot! Heles thought to herself as she listened to the exchange between Harvan and Zed, she quickly spun around, clenched her fist and shut her eyes at the thought.

"Thank you for entrusting this to me, sir." Kostis finally said, lifting himself out of his chair to stand as well. "I promise I won't tell anyone of the function and only to use it only to keep your son and those around him safe."

“Thank you,” Gin nodded, “Just make sure Zed wears his pendant at all times. Now, I suppose I shouldn’t take any more of your time.” Gin said, walking over to the door leading back to the outside. When outside, he approached Zed, “Well, Zed, it looks like you’ll be leaving after all. But these people aren’t going to hurt you, they’ll look after you well, I’m sure” He said, eyeing Harvan and Kotsis (presuming he also left the room. If not, I’ll edit this).

“I-I am? but what about you? Who’ll look after you?” The white haired boy replied.

“I have your sister, unless you think she’ll do a poor job.” Gin teased.

“No-No, Sister Heles is great at looking after people.”

“Good, then I’ll be fine. You’ll be back soon so don’t worry. But for now, see these two men as your older brothers.”

“Older brothers?” Zed repeated quietly.

“Yes, now go, Draoma needs you,” the old man said, patting Zed on the shoulder.

“I-If you say so, father,” Zed muttered, before moving forward to embrace his step-father, “I’ll come back, I promise!”

“You’d better!” Heles made clear.

[Xayah]

Wallace nodded his head in agreement with Xayah’s suggestion, Syle also approved of the idea.

“"Huh.

“Great, then it’s decided, but there’s no way we’ll get there in time on foot,” Xayah remarked, quickly sending a glare towards Wallace, “Wallace, do you think you could arrange a few horses? You boys can go and bring them, meet me at the castle entrance, I have to go collect my weapons.”

“No need to thank me like that. I’m not so used to formalities,” Havran said, chuckling. He glanced at Zed’s sister who had turned her back to them, her fists clenched. The assassin figured Heles didn’t like the idea of Zed getting involved with a stranger so quickly, a ‘mercenary’ at the top of that. He decided to pay no mind to her, noting the young woman wouldn’t listen to him should he say anything.

“Well, Zed, it looks like you’ll be leaving after all. But these people aren’t going to hurt you, they’ll look after you well, I’m sure.” Havran turned his head to the owner of the voice to see the owner of the restaurant, Kostis trailing behind him. He listened to the family’s exchange afterwards, his ears perking upon hearing the old man advised Zed to see the assassin and Kostis as the Reaver’s older brothers.

“Amazing, I just got promoted to big brother,” Havran muttered quietly. Not that he minded, it could be an interesting experience. He was the little brother in his family, after all.

Kostis followed the old man out from the sitting room and back into the main restaurant where Havran, Zed, and the latter of the two's older sister were still waiting.
The restaurant owner quickly informed Zed that the boy would be accompanying the knight and assassin and that they would be looking after him, though Kostis blinked when the man suddenly mentioned that Zed look to the two older men as older brothers. Kostis had only one sibling, and he himself was the younger so he had never been in such a role before.
“I-If you say so, father,” Zed replied to his father, stepping forward to hug the man. “I’ll come back, I promise!”
“You’d better!” The white-haired young man's sister warned.
"He will," Kostis confirmed, once more reminded of the promise he had made to the boy's step-father only minutes before. "When you have finished with your farewells, we shall be off."

[Syle||Ranger]

“Great, then it’s decided," Xayah announced when both Wallace and Syle had agreed to the idea. "But there’s no way we’ll get there in time on foot. Wallace, do you think you could arrange a few horses? You boys can go and bring them, meet me at the castle entrance, I have to go collect my weapons.”
Syle nodded as he opened to door upon the female assassin finishing her words, in time to see the guard outside quickly jumping back into his stiff posture, as if he hadn't been just a heartbeat earlier. His face was slightly red but he didn't look at the group in the eye.
"Shameless, aren't we." Syle clicked his tongue in distaste, his earlier promotion having been proven right, though he doubted the guard had heard much, if anything, due to the wooden door being so thick. "I have the right mind to report you for eavesdropping, good sir." Syle remarked sarcastically. The guard's ears reddened but he otherwise didn't respond to the egging, to Syle's slight disappointment.
"You heard her," Syle said, now directing his words to Wallace as the group walked past the flustered guard. "Lead the way to the stables."

---

The Frogman seemed to hear what sounded like whispering coming from within the darkness, but he was still too out of sorts to make out any audible words.
"A medical facility," The Frogman heard a feminine voice respond to her earlier question and the assassin tried to peer around the room only to find it too dim to make out anything much further than where he was currently hanging, let alone who the voice belonged to. When the voice continued speaking, however, the Frogman felt a chill strike through his core.
"One of the few left that use magic. You've sustained quite a few wounds in your last fight so we put you in a healing tank. The restraints are for your own benefit we don't want you harming yourself."
"Facility... magic?" The assassin began before he began struggling in his restraints once more at the second word. Had he been unsuccessful in his mission to kill the princess? But how had he ended up in such a place? "Let me out! I don't want to be in any way associated with something as revolting as sorcery!"

Lyra The Assassin (Duelist)

Z mimicked the voice of a small girl, explaining to the Frogman that they were in a medical facility. She shot the assasian an odd looks wondering what that was all about.

"Magic? Facility?" The Frogman echoed her own questions.

"Let me out! I don't want to be involved in something and revolting as magic!"

Lyra was used to people smack talkking magic. Usually, it made her feel insecure, even more of an outsider. Knowing that if anyone knew, she would be killed, disowned and hunted. For some reason however, hearing it used by Z as a means of torture really unnerved her. Raven felt her face hardened into an emotionlss mask as aggervation overcame her, cussing her fist to ball up.

Thankfully, her gloves prevented any outburst of magic. As her father said they would, even though the fabric wasn't anything special. (It's the placebo effect). Lyra gritted her teeth and kept a steady glare at the Frogman, not giving away any of her aggervations, aside from her fists clentxhing, which she immediately relaxed, hopefully Z did not witness it. She didn't need questions being askedz especially when she couldn't just run away, like she usually does.

"Your mission to kill the princess was unsuccessful but the higher ups have seen it fit to restore your body, however we need details on the people who subdued you, and I would like to know what the higher ups are thinking with the stupidity of killing the royal family, it would send the entire nation after us." Z said still in the voice of an innocent girl

Z switched to his normal voice to create the illusion of a second person in the room and produced a green flame from his palm, "please don't make this any harder than it has to be, healing your injuries is rather difficult as it is, magic is useful but skilled doctors such as I are required to make this work. Unless you want me to remove your internal organs, I'm sure I could fetch a high price for them. But relax, I will do nothing to alter you in any way shape or form. You will be still be fully human even after you leave here."

Zed nodded to his father once before turning towards his sister, “Farewell, sister.”

Heles was too upset to make a reply, but she at least made the effort to wave her hand.

The white haired boy took a step back and faced the knight and assassin, “I’m ready” he said quietly, waiting for the two to lead the way.

Havran swiftly undid the knots that held the black mare in place. He proceeded to mount her but not before giving her a few pats on her snout. The redhead leaned forward, gingerly resting his left elbow on the mare’s neck and easing his head onto his palm.
“By the way, Zed, who do you want to hitch a ride with? That is unless you have a horse of your own,” Havran asked.

Wallace

"Um...." Wallace was reluctant to let Xayah out of his sight, he's very close to trust these new allies now but he still have to concern about his friends saftly, if they decided to turn against them, although it's true that making her go to the mystic woods unarmed is pretty selfish. Wallace may trust himself enough to protect both of the assassin if anything happen, at least until help arrived, he can hear them protest already, so perhaps there's some alternative, where Xayah can still protect herself without going around unsupervised or get access to her full potential "Can't you use our weapons? there should be some in the yard, the stable's right there too so we can all go together, it may be different from what you used to but it should be enough for self-defense"

Ishmael

They sat in silent, listening to the sounds of the wheel grinding on the rocky ground, and occasionally a groan or two from the unsettling pile. The seeker eyes shifted around, looking out for potential danger on the passing way, back on the piles(in case some assassin managed to free themselves and over come the sickness) and sometime would steal and glance over at the silent princess. He have so many burning questions he would like to ask her, so many words he would like to said, About this Z character and her trust toward him, about her well-being, physically and mentally, about how reckless and impulsive she's becoming from the stress of the lost in her family, about how glad he is that she's unharmed but Ishmael's never good with words, he's not one who usually start the conversation. He looked toward Omisan too, checking to see if she look worsen by the wound or not.

"We will catch them" Ishmael suddenly said as a reassurance, out of everything else he been thinking in his mind. "The killer, whoever they are, we can stop them, I'm sure of it"

[Kostis Wither||Champion]
Zed soon concluded his final good-byes with his family, upon so turning towards the knight and assassin and quietly notifying them he was ready. Havran quickly took the initiative in bidding farewell to the boy's family, Kostis merely nodding towards them before exiting the restaurant.

As the assassin began untying his mare's bridle reins, Kostis made quick work of undoing the own knots he had earlier tied to tether the horse into place before leaving the stallion's side earlier. Like Havran, the knight mounted his horse as the aforementioned spoke to their new companion.
"By the way, Zed, who do you want to hitch a ride with? That is unless you have a horse of your own,”
"If you haven't, Havran is right that you can ride with one of us," Kostis nodded as he ran a hand down his steed's neck, the horse shifting it's weight beneath him as it waited to depart. "Once we arrive back to the castle we can get you any proper gear and equipment you may need, and to further brief you on anything you need to know."

---

At another time and place, the Frogman might have scoffed at the threat of his organs being removed. But when the assassin noticed an eerie green glow coming from the direction of the voices, he suddenly ceased his struggle, seeming too frightened of the unnatural green flame as well as the vague threat of not being left 'fully human', which he didn't want to know further details on.
"... I will tell you what you wish." The Frogman finally gave up, his voice, and body, faintly shaky despite himself. "We w-were subdued by several of the princess's... escorts, though a couple didn't seem to be knights but o-other assassins? Do not ask me why they were fighting with them, but that's what it seemed to be. I don't know much more before I blacked out and... woke up here."
The assassin stopped for a few moments to breath in and out a few times before continuing, attempting to calm his nerves.
"The high ups didn't order the attack... er, not exactly. Many of us... lower ranking assassins, if you wish, banded together, thinking with our numbers we c-could attack the princess successfully. None of us would have stood a chance on our own in killing the princess, unlike the mysterious killer, but we thought if we worked together it would succeed. The plan was that I would come up out of the water to kill the princess after the others had cornered her and distracted any guards she had with her. I-I don't know the real killer but I've studied their work on various victim's bodies over the months and I can preform a kill that looks similar to their work, at least when you don't look at them side by side. We thought people wouldn't notice the difference and panic all the more, as if the killer had struck down another heir."
The Frogman had earlier been proud of his 'skill', but now he just quickly spouted the facts fearfully.

Lyra The Assassin (Duelist)

As the Frogman fearfully spilled his end of the story. Lyra couldn't help but smirk and fold her arms when he mentioned that assassins were working with the knights. She made short work of him and got in the extra element of surprise. But, then the assasian began explaining that he studied their mysterious kilelrs work, he even bragged that he was able to deliver wounds in the style of their killer. This unnerved Lyra, but for a different reason. Those bodies were confidential, how was the Frogman able to get ahold of them. Raven guessed that the castle wdid not have as good of defences as they thought, allowing a rookie assasian to sneak in and peek as the bodies was a humliation. Unless he was working for someone who was an inside man and had access to the bodies. Lyra considered sharing her suspicions with Z, bit decided against it. It was not something for her to worry herself over.

The cold Tankard was warming up now, it was beginning to become less effective on her shoulder, allowing a dull ache to seep through. Lyra pressed the mug harder on the wound, trying to get as much of the cold as possible. She had to return to the castle for her arm to be mended soon, as long as she tries not to function it too much, she should be fine if she wraps it.

"By the way, Zed, who do you want to hitch a ride with? That is unless you have a horse of your own,” Harvan asked as he mounted his horse.

"If you haven't, Havran is right that you can ride with one of us," Kostis nodded as he ran a hand down his steed's neck, the horse shifting it's weight beneath him as it waited to depart.

“Umm, well I don’t have my own horse so I suppose I have no choice. I hate to be a bother to either of you,” Zed answered, “But I guess-I guess I’ll ride with that man.” the boy said, pointing towards Harvan; Zed leaned slightly more towards Harvan due to their little interaction prior. With that decided, Zed helped himself up on the black horse’s back, not wanting to trouble the older man.

"Once we arrive back to the castle we can get you any proper gear and equipment you may need, and to further brief you on anything you need to know." the blue haired knight added.

New gear? Well I suppose it’s necessary, there’s no way I’d be able to work in this cream T-shirt and brown shorts, The reaver thought to himself.

Gin and Heles walked up to the entrance and watched as Zed mounted the horse, they prepared to give one final wave before he left.

“Will he really be alright?” The girl asked.

“...I believe he’s in good hands.” Gin answered, being careful not to give a definite answer to her question due to his uncertainty of Zed’s well being; The two looking after him may be good, but their mission was a dangerous one.

[Xayah]

"Can't you use our weapons? there should be some in the yard, the stable's right there too so we can all go together, it may be different from what you used to but it should be enough for self-defense." The plump knight begged.

“No,” Xayah responded sharply, her eyes narrowing at the knight, “I must have my weapons. This wretched place has held onto my possessions long enough as it is. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be leaving to go and collect them.” the female assassin declared, as she strutted down the hallway. All eyes were on her.

Wallace knight

Wallace looked after the departing back of Xayah, why do things has to be so difficult "No, wait! Xayah!" Wallace quickly jogged after her to stop in front of her...He looked at her, pleading before he signed, the splitting up is unavoudable it seemed " How about I go get it for you and you go to the stable with Syle you can describe what they look like to me and everything, or You let me come with you and Syle can go to the stabble" He said, before explaining himself "It's not that I trust one of you more than the others but everyone here know you and they're afraid and angry, you know how they will react with you" He recalled the guard infront of the prince room and how you was being dragged pittifully by the excutioner "They might do something they will regret and you might too once you have you weapons, look I know you have a lot you want to let out, but it's not going to do anything good now. Syle's less known he can get around, or if you're with him he can handle the harassment for you, just try not to be too rude to them" Wallace quickly added to Syle "Plus you can't just wondering around not knowing where they kept the prisoner's belonging, could you? So, what do you say?"

Wallace smiled at her hopefully, hoping it would change her mind.

The carriage ride was mostly silent. Outside the streets seemed empty, frozen; as if they were held in winter's frosty grip. Rynn was slightly unnerved and slightly grateful for the quiet. They were nearing the castle when Ishmael suddenly broke it. "We will catch them." he said. Rynn sat up, surprised, and the knight continued. "The killer, whoever they are, we can stop them, I'm sure of it." Rynn quirked her mouth into a half smile, saying "I sure hope you're right, Ishmael."

Suddenly, familiar stone paths and hedges came into view.

"Ooh we've arrived!" Rynn remarked, leaning forward to peer out the small window. "I wonder what the others have found out about the killer?" The carriage took a while to halt. By the time it had come to a complete stop, Rynn had already impatiently exited. She opened the door for the princess but kept her gaze on the castle doors. No sign of Wallace or his two charges. Hopefully that meant they were investigating.

((I don't have anything in mind either, really. I was thinking it would be a good time for outback characters to get to the healers if needed and then catch up on what's been happening with the others so that we can all get back on the same pace again))

Z: Artificer, Assassin. Miriela: Warlord, Knight

"I see, thank you for telling me. Now please just rest while I tend to your wounds" Z said before putting the Frogman under sedation.

True to his word Z let the Frogman heal up but kept him sedated.

"Let's take this guy to the castle" Z said to Lyra, tossing her the Frogman's blades and pointing to his Master Codex "And as for your magic, I know about it. Don't worry, I won't tell"

Z made for the door carrying the Frogman's limp body and once outside fired his cannon at the ground propeling himself towards the castle.

Miriela's carriage arrived at the Castle with the large haul of assassins

"Let's take this guy to the castle" Z said to Lyra, tossing her the Frogman's blades and pointing to his Master Codex "And as for your magic, I know about it. Don't worry, I won't tell"

Lyra threw back her head and laughed.

"I may be an assasian, but calling someone one of those unclean sinners is a hole new level of low." Lyra feigned offense. But, she did not press the matter. She did not show it, however she wondered how he could possibly know.

[Kostis Wither||Champion]

“Umm, well I don’t have my own horse so I suppose I have no choice. I hate to be a bother to either of you,” Zed replied. “But I guess-I guess I’ll ride with that man.” The white-haired boy pointed to Havran before swiftly mounting onto the back of the black mare without any need of help, settling into place behind the already seated assassin.

Out of the corner of his eye, Kostis noticed Zed's family appear at the entrance of their business and wave to their departing family member. Kostis suddenly was reminded of a brief memory involving when he had left home for the first time for his knight training, and when his brother had saw him off; though the reasons why were far less dire than that of Zed's circumstances, it was one of the last times Kostis had seen his sibling in very friendly terms before the two had become distant.
"When you're ready," The knight told the other two, snapping away from the thought and lightly tapping his horse's flanks with his heels. He flicked the reins gripped in his hands to send his stallion into a swift trot to lead them away from the outskirts and back towards the main city.

---

[Syle||Ranger]

Wallace quickly raced after Xayah, pleading for her to rethink her wandering off alone to retrieve her weapons. Syle understood what the knight meant, but he didn't exactly agree.
"They might do something they will regret and you might too once you have you weapons," Wallace went on. "Look I know you have a lot you want to let out, but it's not going to do anything good now. Syle's less known he can get around. Or if you're with him he can handle the harassment for you, just try not to be too rude to them."
"Not really my style," Syle scoffed at the comment about toning down his discourteous words. "Wallace, I see what you mean, but using someone else's weapons is not quite practical. I doubt she's going to purposely go around causing a s**tstorm when she was just released, especially with that Executioner breathing down her neck if she does something wrong.
Unless she's mental, in which case I'd rather her not be hanging around in the first place. Most of the guards seem to be shaking in their boots and don't want to get close, but once they notice no one else if going after her, even they must be able to figure out she's out of her cell for a reason. In any case, aren't the weapons by the gate? At least I thought that's what was said, so it's not as if she's about to be wandering around the palace itself." The assassin pointed out.

((The Master Codex is a magic

((The Master Codex is a magic item and since Z is familiar with magic theory, despite not being a user hinself, through the use of the codex he can identify some kinds of magic. In particular lightning and it's close cousin, fire. Sometimes objets that are stored in the Codex react to magic from the outside world. It isn't called a forbidden tome for nothing. Also Z is like a spider, he takes full notice of everything in his vicinity and logs it in his head.))

Havran Frieden - Scout

“Welcome aboard, little lad,” Havran said as Zed climbed onto his borrowed mare, setting himself behind the assassin.
Havran glanced at the restaurant, noticing Heles and the owner ready to bid their final farewell. He briefly recalled the time when he first went to a mission without his siblings as part of the team. Saber ruffled his red locks, a proud grin on his face as Sonya wrapped him in a hug. His anxiety was swiftly decimated and he was able to perform his mission much better than he had expected. It was amazing what their support could do to him.
‘Come to think of it, I haven’t informed Sonya about this mission.’
“When you’re ready,” Kostis said as the knight sent his mount to a swift trot. Havran nodded and followed suit, though the mare apparently grumbled before obeying. The redhead constantly looked around his surrounding as they made their way, a habit of his since he was young. His gaze soon landed on Kostis, particularly a glint emanating from his hand. He vaguely recalled the knight donning no such thing during their departure.
“Hey Blue, what’s that?” Havran asked inquisitively, pointing at the shining object.

Zed & Xayah

[Zed]

The two older men set off to return to castle, along with Zed. Harvan was quick to notice a change in Kotsis’ appearance.

“Hey Blue, what’s that?” the redhead asked.

Zed also turned his attention towards Kotsis, looking in the direction Harvan was pointing. He noticed a pure golden ring on his finger, one which glinted in the sunlight, there was a green gem fixed on the top.

That looks like father’s ring...The white haired boy thought, identifying the ring as being the same as the one worn by Gin. Could father have given the knight his ring? But why would he do that?

[Xayah]

Shortly after Xayah began to walk Wallace ran up to her and obstructed her path. The knight didn’t particularly like the idea of a renowned assassin being let free to wonder Castle, or at least that’s what he appeared to assume.

“No, wait! Xayah! How about I go get it for you and you go to the stable with Syle you can describe what they look like to me and everything, or You let me come with you and Syle can go to the stable. It's not that I trust one of you more than the others but everyone here know you and they're afraid and angry, you know how they will react with you,” Wallace tried to reason.

Xayah narrowed her eyes in anger, “Actually, it would seem like you don’t trust me at all, despite our newly found alliance.”

"They might do something they will regret and you might too once you have you weapons, look I know you have a lot you want to let out, but it's not going to do anything good now. Syle's less known he can get around, or if you're with him he can handle the harassment for you, just try not to be too rude to them" Wallace added.

Not really my style. Wallace, I see what you mean, but using someone else's weapons is not quite practical. In any case, aren't the weapons by the gate? At least I thought that's what was said, so it's not as if she's about to be wandering around the palace itself." Syle intervened.

Xayah’s face was , “Syle is right, I know perfectly well when to and not to back down. As for my weapons, yes, they are at the main gate, that was what the Executioner himself stated,” Xayah slowly began to carry on walking,”...I must say, I never held such a bitterness for the knights before. But now, I'm beginning to understand why the assassins despise you people so much,” she hissed. “But fine, if you're that untrusting send someone with me...Syle, If you’re fine with it I wouldn’t mind your company, I’d prefer to have someone who actually trusts me accompany me, or at least I assume you do.”

“Hey Blue, what’s that?” Kostis heard Havran inquire after they had set off. Upon hearing the question the blue-haired man turned to glance at the assassin, who's finger was pointed questioningly towards Kostis's own hand. The knight noticed the sun's rays had been faintly reflecting off the newly acquired ring resting on his index finger and reckoned that was what the red-haired man was referring to.
"You have quite a keen eye," Kostis noted, raising an eyebrow slightly. He couldn't help but be rather impressed that Havran had seemed to notice something so small a detail change so swiftly. The knight for a heartbeat considered about how to further respond; he disliked lying and saw no benefit in doing so. Kostis knew if he passed the ring off as being his own which he merely slipped on for no apparent specific reason, then at least surely Zed would recognize the jewelry of being his father's own himself and it wouldn't do any good.
"Zed's father gave it to me," Kostis replied truthfully, glancing at the ring as it glinted golden back at him. "He made me promise to bring Zed back to them safe and gave me this ring to wear as a reminder. It is merely temporary until we finish with our task, then it will go back to it's rightful owner when Zed returns home himself."

---

[Syle||Ranger]

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, Syle almost said in response to Xayah's last statement, but the assassin held his tongue, knowing it not to be the right place or time to say it when he really would them all get a move on. Though he had to silently admit that if it got down to it, Syle did trust the female assassin more than a knight; at least Xayah and him had a similar goal, for the time being as it were.
"Fine, then." Syle finally agreed to the proposition of going along with Xayah to collect her weapons. "Let's move our arses, no use standing here and arguing about it. There'll be someone to keep an eye on Xayah, and vice versa, to make Wallace feel more comfortable leaving us to go on our own while he goes and collects the horses. Kapeesh?"

Wallace and Ishmael, Knights

Wallace

Xayah's cynical remark was very effective, the boy nervously recoiled steps back " Xayah, that's not---I'm not--" However guit tripped Wallace was though it wasn't enough to raise a bait for him to go after her and allow her to go by herself just to please her, not when Syle just stepped in to go with her and Xayah, however unhappy she's settled with this options. The guardian watched the two walk off, before he signed frusteratedly to himself "Urghh good job, Wallace" so much for the kindness he gave them, why are people have to be so difficult. He knew he messed up badly, trying to understand them, make a bridge between them, he just hope he still have a second chance on this

with no other options, that leave Wallace to storming off toward the stable by himself, troubled.

Ishmael

Ishmael's encouragement did get a reaction out of Omisan but not the princess. Ishmael looked at her sadly. She has become so distance and just as cold as her hair color, dertermined to be a strong leader and fixcade on finidng the murderer. He was worried of her stress and hoped his encourage would help her a little but---

he signed, let the silent fall in again for the rest of the trip. It's not like he wasn't expected them do be more distance after he chose this path, but small part of him still hope that they could go back the way they were when they're children.

They've arrived. Ishmael got out after the princess and the enthusiastic fencer. He informed the guards in that area of the situation, help unload the prisoners and make sure Omisan's getting a treatment she needed for her wound well, he's not bout to let a lady limped off on her own without someone. Ishmael knew this is far from over, after all this is just Miriela's plan of ''fishing' he couldn't walk off and called it a day just because this mission's done, they still have those assassins he have to worried about, but there're no sign of them or Blackjack, or Blakesley, even Wallace. He still have to hear from those two at the pub too, if they get any new informations. For now, he stood by, uncertain but ready if anything came up. He turned toward Miriela " You should get some rest, your highness, it's been a long day for you, I can informed you if those two come back or if anything come up"

Havran Frieden - Scout

“That’s a Scout for you. We bother with even the tiniest details. Well, at least I do,” Havran said, chuckling. He listened to what Kostis had to say, nodding every now and then. The assassin couldn’t quite tell whether the knight was lying or not, given that his feet were technically dangling off the ground but he figured Zed would’ve raised an objection if he had lied. Since the Reaver didn’t, Havran decided to receive it as the truth.
“That’s quite the burden. There’s no guarantee all of us would still be alive once this mission ends. Heck, we don’t even know if we can actually catch the mystery dude before they get to us,” Havran voiced his thoughts. He turned to Kostis, flashing his ever so present smile. “But not to worry, Blue. If anything happens to either of you or both of you, I’ll come running. We’re comrades after all, even though we’re not quite buddy-buddy yet,” he added.
Havran glanced at Zed, a mischievous grin on his visage, “By the way, Zed, since you’ll find out soon anyway, did you know that apart from being a mercenary, I’m an assassin as well?”

Zed and Xayah

[Zed]

"Zed's father gave it to me," Kostis answered.

Zed was surprised, Why would father give him his ring.

But before he could ask, his question was answered.

"He made me promise to bring Zed back to them safe and gave me this ring to wear as a reminder. It is merely temporary until we finish with our task, then it will go back to it's rightful owner when Zed returns home himself." The blue haired knight added, as he looked at the shimmering ring.

Upon hearing this, Zed felt at ease and relaxed his body a little. This knight certainly seemed like he’d keep Zed safe, especially after he’d seen him protect to vulnerable children despite them being in the wrong in the eyes of the law, which most knights respect and adhere to. Of course, this feeling of security was only fleeting when Harvan made a morbid remark.

“That’s quite the burden. There’s no guarantee all of us would still be alive once this mission ends. Heck, we don’t even know if we can actually catch the mystery dude before they get to us,” Havran voiced.  “But not to worry, Blue. If anything happens to either of you or both of you, I’ll come running. We’re comrades after all, even though we’re not quite buddy-buddy yet,” he added reassuringly.

Zed’s emotions were mixed and confused at this point. He didn’t know how to feel, on the one hand they were headed on a dangerous mission to hunt down deadly assassin, and on the other, he was being accompanied by two sworn protectors, add that to the little bit of sorrow he was feeling for leaving his family and you have one lost boy.

Harvan then managed to catch Zed off guard with his menacing grin, “By the way, Zed, since you’ll find out soon anyway, did you know that apart from being a mercenary, I’m an assassin as well?”

“An assassin!?” Zed exclaimed in shock, the surprise causing him to jump back from his seat. “Whoa!” He cried as he lost his grip and fell off of the horse’s back. “Urgh!” he groaned as he landed flat on his back, for a brief moment he lay there, still stunned by the fact that was just revealed to him. Eventually he pushed himself up with his hands and stood up, dusting off the dirt which had clung onto his clothing. “Umm, I think-I think I’ll ride with that man now, if it’s alright with you” Zed requested, pointing towards Kotsis, now slightly fearful of the killer on the other horse despite how surprisingly friendly he’d been.

[Xayah]

“Fine, then.” Syle agreed. “Let's move our arses, no use standing here and arguing about it. There'll be someone to keep an eye on Xayah, and vice versa, to make Wallace feel more comfortable leaving us to go on our own while he goes and collects the horses. Kapeesh?" The blue haired assassin rushed.

With that finally settled, Xayah made her way through the hallways. She made sure to take note of the path taken by Wallace on the way in and stored that information in her brain, enabling her to find her own way out. It didn’t take long for her to arrive back out to the courtyard, but as they arrived Xayah could hear familiar voices off in the distance. The sound was coming from the main gate, where they were headed anyway.

“I wonder who that could be, these voices, they sound familiar. Have those fools already returned from their ‘fishing’ trip?” Xayah remarked, voicing her thoughts aloud.

“That’s quite the burden." Havran responded after Kostis had finished his explanation. "There’s no guarantee all of us would still be alive once this mission ends. Heck, we don’t even know if we can actually catch the mystery dude before they get to us. But not to worry, Blue. If anything happens to either of you or both of you, I’ll come running. We’re comrades after all, even though we’re not quite buddy-buddy yet,”
"Hmm," Kostis regarded the assassin's words and smile. Though the knight still didn't have proof as to believe the other man completely yet, the prospect behind the words were still admirable. The blue haired knight unconsciously allowed a closed-lipped but sure smile to come to his face. "Then I will say the same."
However, the smile was soon cut short when Havran turned to Zed, finally divulging his true profession to the white-haired young man sitting behind him.
“By the way, Zed, since you’ll find out soon anyway, did you know that apart from being a mercenary, I’m an assassin as well?”
“An assassin!?" Zed's echoed the two words in absolute surprise upon hearing Havran's confession. Immediately following the outburst, Kostis heard a brief, "Whoa!" followed by the sound of a heavy thump, as if something, or someone, had impacted harshly against the ground. The knight pulled back on his reins to swiftly slow his steed down to a stop and looked back in time to see Zed sprawled across the ground on his back, presumably having fallen off the mare he had been sharing with Havran out of his shock.
Before Kostis could attempt to dismount from his horse to aid the younger male back to his feet, Zed got back up himself, dusting off his clothing.
"Umm, I think-I think I’ll ride with that man now, if it’s alright with you." The boy said, pointing towards Kostis. The knight was slightly perplexed at all of what had happened in the last few moments alone.

"Are you alright? That was quite a fall," Kostis managed to ask, slightly concerned. He quickly glanced at Havran before looking towards Zed. "And, er, of course, if you wish. However, though I can understand your unease for now, I'm afraid you will have to get used to the idea of working with both Havran and assassins in general on the mission ahead, in any case."

[Syle||Ranger]

As the two assassins made their way through the halls, Xayah and Syle swiftly tracked their way back out to the courtyard.
The assassins quickly made their ways back through the hallways, retracing their steps and eventually stepping back out into the yard they had started in before going to investigate. Syle began hearing voices when he and Xayah headed towards the main gates, but didn't pay them much mind until the white haired assassin beside him brought it up.
"I wonder who that could be," Xayah stated, seemingly half to herself. "These voices, they sound familiar. Have those fools already returned from their ‘fishing’ trip?"
At being reminded of the 'fishing' trip the princess and her companions had set out on earlier, Syle began to listen more closely to the voices.
"They do sound familiar," Syle concured as they began nearing the gates. "They couldn't have caught many 'fish' in that period of time. Something must have happened for them to be back already."

Ishmael followed suit and exited the carriage right after Rynn. From there, he took the situation into his own hands, telling the guards to dispose of the assassins' bodies and even going so far as to get Rynn an escort to the healers' room. While the fencer wasn't overly fond of needing help, Rynn certainly appreciated the gesture, and made a point of waving to the seeker before shuffling towards the castle. With the excitement of the fight draining away, the pain in her leg became slightly more prominent. Rynn made a mental note to practice fighting larger groups in whatever spare time she would have. Perhaps at home.

Nearing the entrance of the castle, Rynn suddenly spotted two very familiar figures. It was a couple of the assassins from the meeting! Rynn out some pep in her step, flapping her hand in lazy greeting as she went. The guard with her muttered worriedly about her "injury" and how she should "relax and be more careful" but didn't try to stop her. Now that she was closer, she recognized them as the two assassins that had been under Wallace's watchful eye while they investigated the site of the young prince's murder. But where was Wallace?

"Hey guys!" Might as well act casual, right? "Where's Wallace? Have you found anything?"

((I should still have internet and be able to respond until tomorrow morning, but just in case I don't, you can merely answer Rynn's questions and then pretend as if she just went on her way to the healers' afterwards. I'll still try my best to get at least one more roleplay response in later :) ))

Havran Frieden - Scout

Havran chuckled in amusement at Zed's surprise but it was soon silenced when the assassin caught a glimpse of the Reaver losing his balance. He instinctively pulled the reins towards him forcefully, causing his mare to abruptly stop and neighed in protest. The redhead turned to the ground to see Zed sprawled there, seemingly stunned. He soon rose to his feet however, dusting off his clothes.

"Honestly, that was rather unexpected," Havran remarked, raising a brow.

"Umm, I think-I think I'll ride with that man now, if it's alright with you," Zed requested, pointing at Kostis. Havran glanced at the blue-haired knight who was apparently as baffled as he was.

"Are you alright? That was quite a fall. And, er, of course, if you wish. However, though I can understand your unease for now, I'm afraid you will have to get used to the idea of working with both Havran and assassins in general on the mission ahead, in any case," Kostis responded.

"Whatever floats your boat, little lad. I'm fine either way," Havran said, shrugging, "And for your own sake, don't let me spoil you just yet. Most assassins are the opposite of me; cold, gloomy, misanthrophic, et cetera. I just happen to be an exception."
