[Kostis Wither||Champion]

Despite himself, Kostis snorted aloud slightly at Havran's recollection of 'Sunshine' as he placed his foot into the stirrup, swinging himself up and smoothly into place atop the tall, white stallion and adjusting the reigns in his hands as he settled into the saddle. The knight glanced upwards towards the sky, which had earlier been clear and sunny with only several light clouds floating across the blue expanse, but off in the distance Kostis could see the telltale signs of dark clouds.
"We best be off," Kostis stated to the assassin. "And pray keep up, this flat character would not fancy having to backtrack to find someone such as yourself should you fall behind." Without wasting another moment, Kostis clicked his tongue and simultaneously squeezed lightly on the stallion's sides with his legs to indicate his wishes for the horse to move. In response the white steed shot off at a brisk pace through the gates and onto the cobblestone road leading them towards the outskirts of the city.
---
The outskirts of Draoma were rather poor, due to the influx of workers no longer sporting jobs in the richer and busier parts of the city. Though not the worst area the kingdom had to offer, Kostis didn't like the thought of some people living in such poor conditions.
As they neared their destination, a restaurant Kostis knew the young Reaver, Zed, to work at with his family, Kostis pulled lightly on the reigns to slow his stallion down to a walk as they moved down the street.
"Here we are," Kostis informed Havran as the Champion pulled his horse to a stop in front of the foreign food restaurant. Kostis dismounted from his white steed and had begun to tie the reins to a wooden post to secure the animal when suddenly the knight overhead a commotion taking place across the street.
The blue-haired knight turned in time observe a man who had two young and skinny boy's wrists held tightly in his grasp, pulling them back towards a store they had seemingly been trying to leave from. The children yelped in pain at the man's roughness, and Kostis noticed something fall from the older of the two boy's pocket; a vegetable, which lead Kostis's line of sight to be directed to the boy's pockets themselves, which seemingly had been stuffed with other vegetables at random. It all lead to hint that the two hungry children had been attempting to steal from the man who now held them by their arms harshly.
"Let go!" The younger one cried out in pain as they struggled to get out of the shop owner's grasp. The man in turn began screaming back at them, much to Kostis's disgust, before reaching out to his side and picking up a plank studded along the side with nails, lifting it high in the air towards the boys so as to threaten them.
In an instant Kostis was across the street, all thoughts of his current mission forgotten as he reached out to grab the angry shop owner's arm before the man could actually decide to bring it down upon the children.
Though the man was large, the blue-haired knight's sudden pulling back against his arm seemed to direct the man's attention from the boy's as he whipped his head around to glare at Kostis.
"What the he.ll do you want?!" He spat angrily, staring at Kostis's unflinching stare with his own dark and beady eyes.
"I'm stopping you from beating innocent children," Kostis replied calmly, though his eyes were hardened in anger at the man's appalling behaviour.
"Mind yer own business," The man said, eyeing Kostis over. "They are anything but innocent. If you dam.n knights would actually open your eyes, you'd be able to see these two thieves were trying to steal my goods!"
"As I noticed," Kostis responded as the man ripped his arm from out of Kostis's grip, though he still held onto the ill-fed boys' arms tightly, causing them to yelp in pain as he squeezed their wrists so they couldn't twist out of his grasp.
"Which is indeed a crime, yes, but nothing worthy of anything you were about to do to them with that piece of wood right there."
"Worthy? What a laugh, coming from you." The man barked back, spitting at the ground near Kostis's boots. "Don't think just because yer a knight you can come out here and act like yer helping us when all you nobles are the reason we're living like this in the first place, not doing anything to help us at all. If these two think they're allowed to steal, they should face the consequences of their actions and be punished accordingly so!"
"Perhaps that is true," Kostis said is response to the man's rant as he reached into the folds of his uniform and pulled out a small pouch of coins. "But I'm sure these boys only did what they needed to to survive, which what you yourself are doing, expecting to receive payment to live off of. If you might unhand these boys, I think you will find this to be sufficient payment for the stolen goods." Kostis concluded cooly, holding the leather pouch out on his open and extended palm for the man to see.

((hope this is good, @zero ^^ thought I'd pause it here in case you (or Tritendo) might have wanted to add something in between. feel free to control the shop owner too, if you want, but if not I'll finish it in my next post.))

[Syle||Ranger]

"Do you not intend to leave, Mr. Silent?" Syle heard someone direct a teasing comment towards him. "You're an assassin I presume, seeing as you're not dressed all fancy like the knights."
Syle directed his blue eyes towards the white haired assassin who had struck up conversation with him. He snorted in response.
"You can tell? I assume you aren't of the royal army either, seeing your grande entrance and all." Kostis responded, referring to the young woman being escorted in with chains by the Executioner. "And I don't have many words for stuck up people like knights, though I can say the same for most assassins, as well. Not to be 'edgy', as people seem to put it nowadays, but I don't exactly make a habit of working with others more than I have to. I want to do the job, get my payment, and finish it. Suppose if I want to get any of those done, though, I'll have to comply with the ridiculous terms." He eyed the woman. "I suppose I'll be leaving shortly. I'm rather decent at tracking, perhaps I can figure out something about this killer's whearabouts."

Ish and Wal, knights

Wallace

Wallace stand around awkwardly, he was tasked to keep his eyes out here, but with every knight at the meeting left (Sir Blakesley might still be around, he wasn't sure) that left only him and a couple more assassins around. He felt more awkward than scared or being on edge honestly, should he greeted them and start a small talk? maybe he should, they need to work together after all no matter how short the mission would be.

One of the assassin, the one who was previously chained up has the same idea and decided to start a small talk herself, not direct at him though but at the other assassin. When she was being dragged out here a while ago, Wallace is the one who feel sympathy for her to being treat like that. He understand that they're bad people but is it bad of him to try and get to know them better or try to show them kindness regardless of what they've done?

Still he stood restlessly, awaiting for the other assassin to reply, maybe soon he will find an openning to jump into, or he could continue to stand around like a tree like this. His responded make the situation worse though, Wallace winced a little where he stand when he was being refered to as stuck up. Then he said he will take a leaving to try and track the killer down

"Hey um...if you want to wonder around the castle. Maybe I can acompany you? The oher guard probably won't like it to have assassin wondering around as much" Wallace decided to speak up, he know he need to keep his eyes on them.

Ishmael

Ishmael cursed himself for wearing white, it proved to be a bit more challenging to blend in with the green. This is not the first time he noticed though but White is the knight's color and Ishmael's too proud for other options. The whiteness is useful for corridors and building though and he can blend pretty well in the pale sunlight. His small frame make the situation with all these green slightly better too, and he know that he hasn't been detect so far. But he can't get too close, so he can only watch helplessly at the faraway carriage and have faith in Omisan. Hopefully he will react in time if noticed something wring with the way the carriage being drove.

Z: Artificer, Assassin. Miriela: Warlord, Knight

"

"I don't believe that this is a fishing trip at all. At least, it would be terribly mistimed if so. Princess, I believe that you have something else in mind. Could you explain please?" Rynn said to Miriela and Lyra echoed the statement

"We are fishing at Sakura Pond" Miriela answered Raven's question

"You are right that it isn't a fishing trip, at least not in the classical sense." Miriela started as the carriage got up to speed, "We are the bait, I will be the target, Rynn will present a proper guard, a princess alone on a trip will be far too suspicious. Raven will watch from the shadows and try to ascertain the location of the assassin that took my brother's life. Ishmael should be close behind us and will provide overwatch, knowing Z he already informed Ishmael of this plan in some way and we are no doubt being followed by the Seeker as we speak.

"After I gain the assassin's attention, Rynn and I will make a break past Raven's position Rynn should be able to protect me and I should appear as vulnerabel as possible. Raven should use the opportunity f us running past her to sneak behind the assassin and follow him as he follows us. Ishmael will provide overwatch, protecting us from long range attacks and countersniping."

"We will lure the assassin towards the Tipsy Queen, a pub 1500 metres from the Pond. We will have to be careful near the Queen however Z and ishmael should be able to capture the assassin. I will leave the interrogation of the assassin to Z"

____________________________________________________________________

"Stupid princess" Z thought as he watched Ishmael follow the carriage.

"Now then, here is my report on the castle defences" Z said handing a stack of papers over to Sir Blakesley before promptly leaving to follow Ishmael, "I hope you find my results enlightening"

Z knew that on the paper was actually a message that said "The princess is the bait, her plan not mine" the rest were various parts of the castle detecion gird that had to be repaired.

Havran Frieden - Scout

Havran chuckled at Kostis’s response as he nudged the mare’s side lightly with his feet, following the knight to wherever the Reaver resided. ‘You could at least crack a smile,’ Havran mentally said, having decided to keep that thought to himself.
-
As the red-haired assassin tied the mare’s reins to a wooden post, he heard a commotion from across where he stood. He wasn’t surprised, the area was in poor condition after all. Larceny filled every nook and cranny to the point it was incorrigible.
“So, the Reaver works as a part-time waiter or something?” Havran asked, turning to where said knight was, only to find his white stallion alone.
“Um, Blue?” he cocked his brow, looking around in search for the knight until his amber eyes landed on the source of the commotion. A burly man, the shopkeeper he reckoned, was seizing two young famished boys, his free hand gripping a wooden plank with crooked nails jutting out from it. Kostis was there, clearly stopping the man from hurting the children. Havran walked over to the site, listening to their quarrel until a belated realization struck him. They did look skinnier but he was sure his memory wasn’t failing him.
“Ness, Luke?” Havran called. The two boys turned to him, a smile gradually creeping into their bony faces.
“Mr. Havy!” Ness, the younger of the two, spoke up.
“What’re you urchins doing here?” Havran asked, arching his brow questioningly, “Wouldn’t do your old man good if he found out you two out of town, let alone stealing.”
The children’s faces suddenly fell, their youthful smile vanished. In that moment, the shopkeeper let go of their wrists, taking Kostis’s money before entering his shop with an irritated huff. Ness fiddled with his tiny fingers while Luke rubbed his sore wrist.
“W-Well, we just thought while dad’s away, we should do something...bad?” Luke said, offering the assassin an awkward smile.
“Even without my seismic sense, it’s obvious you’re lying, kid,” Havran said, sighing, “Let me guess, your dad was involved in some dangerous business and didn’t return home.”
Ness’s eyes widened at Havran’s conjecture. “But how did you know?”
‘Bullseye’ “That’s just how your old man is, willing to take peril’s path for better payment. Quite foolish, if I say so myself,” Havran explained, “Anyway, how long have you two been like this?”
“Uhm… I don’t know, a month?” Luke said, tapping his forehead.
“A month?! Are you jesting?” Havran asked incredulously, his eyes widening.
“And I thought you have that lie detector sense thingy,” Ness mocked, giggling.
“Well, yes, but I’m surprised you still pull through with those skinny bodies and little to no experience in thievery. That’s impressive,” Havran remarked, a smile adorning his face, “Who knows, with some training and experience, you’ll become mercenaries or the sorts someday.”
“Hahah, sounds great but it still sounds too far-fetched for now,” Ness said, rubbing the back of his head.
“We better get going. I don’t know about you, Ness, but my tummy is rumbling,” Luke chimed in, rubbing his stomach. He turned to Kostis and bowed, “Uhm, thank you for your help, Sir Knight.”
“Oh, wait a sec, Luke,” Ness said quickly, grabbing his older brother’s shoulder, “What are you doing with a knight out here, Havy? Oh oh oh is he-”
“If I get what you’re thinking correctly, absolutely no,” Havran cut in, casting the boy a glare, “He’s merely my temporary partner for a little mission, nothing more.”
“Suuuure, whatever you say,” Ness grinned mischievously, earning him a grunt from the assassin, “Welp, sorry to ruin your special day, Mr. Havy. See ya around! And thanks Mr. Knight!” With that, Ness grabbed Luke’s hand and ran away.
“Today IS a special day of sorts, I’ll give you that, ba.stard,” Havran muttered, facepalming.

Lyra The Assassin (Duelist)

Lyra listened as the Princess began explaining their plan. She snorted with amusement when Miriela was finished. From the sounds of it, the killer was far too smart to fall for a game of fishing. Raven new herself to be wary of the plan, a few have tried tricking her before. But she decided not to argue against it, it would be very amusing to see how this would all blow up in her face, r if it did actually work.

(((I don't think it should, we don't want to stray too far from UltraGeek's initial plan and leave the other OCs with nothing to do.))

Lyra placed another blackberry in her mouth, she chewed it slowly, savoring the tatse. Blackberries were a rare treat to have. The ones she did collect, she usually sold, if they were ripe enough. Raven sighed inwardly, she probably should point out one thing...

"Any assasian worth their salt would go after you. You have quite a bounty on your head; mainly for those who has dreams of taking over the kingdom. Although, they can't afford my services." Raven smirked deviously at the Princess.

Lyra decided not to mention that all the asassians who'd go after Miriela would be rookies. Seasoned assasians could smell a trick from a mile away.

Rynn | Fencer

Shortly after Rynn had pitched in her comment, Raven remarked that this obviously wasn't a fishing trip, and then tossed Rynn a blackberry. She caught the berry without squishing it, remarkably, and let it roll to the center of her palm. It was ripe, as if it had been picked just recently and at its prime, and closely resembled the berries from the palace gardens. Rynn glanced at the assassin and sniffed the berry skeptically. Well, it didn't smell or look poisoned. Though assassins were well known for using poisons, so maybe the poison was well-concealed. Hang on, why would Raven try to poison Rynn in the first place? What was her life worth to the assassin anyway? As far as she knew, she hadn't done anything out of the ordinary to deserve a bounty from any outlaws. And Raven was eating the berries as well without even looking at which ones she chose. And killing off one of your comrades during your very first outing together would not be a good mark on her record, for neither the knights nor the assassins. You are overthinking this so much. Just eat the darned berry you idiot. Rynn finally shrugged and just popped the thing in her mouth. It was tart, with just the right amounts of sweet and sour. Perfect taste. She almost thanked the assassin for it.

Miriela was just finishing explaining her plan, which was to use herself as bait to attract the killer. Rynn would be positioned as a guard, Raven would stay on a lookout, and Z and Ishmael could take care of and interrogate the killer when and if he was caught. It turned out that they would be coming as well. Raven quickly pointed out that any assassin who was anyone would be out looking for the princess, and Rynn had to agree. There were plenty of people trying to usurp the crown. Stray attacks from random, unimportant killers could be a problem. An even bigger problem was whether or not this plan would work at all. This killer had murdered dozens of people, and with the youngest prince being one of them, they were clearly very skilled and very, very smart. It would be almost disappointing for this killer to fall for such a simple trap. Then again, maybe simplicity was what was needed.

"Princess, I can't say that I agree with this plan." Rynn said slowly. "It puts you in danger, and with this killer's exceptional skill, we can't be sure that we will all come out unscathed. The killer may not even appear himself."

Zed and Xayah

[Zed]

Suddenly the man was approached by a blue haired fellow dressed in formal attire, "The Royal army!?" Zed immediately gasped, quickly hiding behind a wall. Zed had seen the blue haired man before during his visits to the castle but he'd never really spoken to him, but unlike Zed he clearly wasn't indecisive. He immediately stood up for the vulnerable and was even kind enough to offer payment for the initially stolen vegetables. However, there was also someone else with him, though not dressed as formally, he clearly wasn't a knight, but then what was he?

[Xayah]

"You can tell? I assume you aren't of the royal army either, seeing your grande entrance and all." The blue haired guy responded.

"Are you trying to mock me? It's not like I intended to create such a scene, blame that darn Executioner!" She retorted.

"And I don't have many words for stuck up people like knights, though I can say the same for most assassins, as well. Not to be 'edgy', as people seem to put it nowadays, but I don't exactly make a habit of working with others more than I have to. I want to do the job, get my payment, and finish it. Suppose if I want to get any of those done, though, I'll have to comply with the ridiculous terms." He eyed Xayah.

" I see, I myself like working alone. However it seems don't have a choice in this case, heh" Xayah remarked, slightly laughing at the end.

"I suppose I'll be leaving shortly. I'm rather decent at tracking, perhaps I can figure out something about this killer's whearabouts."

Xayah's eyes widened, like all assassins she too could track down her targets but from the way this guy sounded he seemed like he had a superior level of expertise in the field. Besides, she could use an experienced tracker in order to hunt down such an ilusive assassin. A thought crossed her mind, it was unorthodox for assassin to team up but in this rare case it seemed like the only option. Xayah had no care for the money, she only wished that her sister would be treated as a reward seeing as they're too stingy to treat her right now. The white haired assassin took a step forward, standing on the blue's side and faced the opposite direction before she began to whisper, "well then, I'd like to request that you take me with you, I'm sure you wish to complete this mission as badly as I do. So, just this once, let's work together. I'm sure we could make it work, you stay outta my way and I'll stay outta yours and everything should go down smoothly."

Suddenly their conversation became disturbed when a voice from behind called out to them, "Hey umm...if you want to wonder around the castle. Maybe I can accompany you? The other guard probably won't like to have an assassin wondering around as much" the chubby knight offered.

Xayah thought for a moment, the only place she wanted to visit was the royal healing centre so she could visit her sister but she doubted they'd let a killer in a regular ward never mind an intensive care unit where her sister is most likely being held, it'd be a waste of time, "thanks for the offer but I think I'll pass. Besides, there are more important things that we need to get done right now."

Z: Artificer, Assassin. Miriela: Warlord, Knight

"It's true he might not take the bait and there are many fish in the pond" Miriela said to Raven, "but if he does, then it's better for us. Any information gained is something. Also the less skilled assassins will no doubt fall into Z's traps or to Ishmael's bow."

"And as for the risk to my life" Miriela said turning to Rynn, her eyes hardening into an icy glare "I am well aware of it, but we cannot let this assassin remain at large. If I am not the next target then who is?"

Z tracked behind Ishmael, looking at the Seeker from a distance, Z knew where Miriela was going, and he knew that the best place to ambush a person was where they least expected it. Hence why he had sent the Seeker to trail them. a carriage with little guard was the perfect target. Of course as far as things go the assassin would likely be laying low until palace security became less tight as people moved on with their lives. But the princess was bullheaded and her purpose was to gain information. Of course to capture the killer himself would be the best result, but it was unlikely. But the petty theives and small time assassins that would want their grab at fortune were many and Z soon saw the carriage grind to a halt in front of Sakura Pond.

Z bombarded the area in seemingly random places with his cannon as he caught up to Ishmael

Kostis Wither||Champion // Syle||Ranger

[Kostis Wither||Champion]

Kostis silently watched the exchange take place between Havran and the two children, surprised the assassin had recognized the boys and seemed to know them by name. The shop owner snatched the coinbag from Kostis's offering hand before stomping off into his store, but Kostis didn't pay much mind, instead listening over Havran's exchange with the two boys.
After a minute of talking, the older of the two finally turned towards Kostis with a bow, saying, “Uhm, thank you for your help, Sir Knight.”
Kostis had begun to nod back in acknowledgement, with even the beginnings of a small smile when the younger boy suddenly cut in, excitedly asking Havran why might the assassin be out and about with a knight. For a moment Kostis was confused at what the child was hinting when suddenly Havran quickly cut off the boy.
“If I get what you’re thinking correctly, absolutely no. He’s merely my temporary partner for a little mission, nothing more.”
Kostis could piece together the kid's insinuations and was unable to hold back a startled choking sound due to his shock, his golden eyes widening incredulously at the, as Kostis thought, notion of someone associating us together as-
“Suuuure, whatever you say,” The boy brushed off Havran's claims with teasing tone, and a mischievous smile on his face. Before Kostis could back Havran's story up, the boy apologized for ruining Havran's 'special day', which made Kostis think he wouldn't much mind if the killer struck him dead right there for it would at least save him from this situation, and thanking the blue-haired knight before running off.
Kostis pinched the bridge of his nose in exasperation, still unbelieving of what the two children had implicated.
"As that entire conversation was beyond me, so is the idea of how they might have come up with such... preposterous assumptions." Kostis grumbled. "If I never think about any of this again, it will still have been too soon."

---

[Syle||Ranger]

At Syle's last comment, the white haired assassin suddenly moved forward to speak in more hushed tones.

"Well, then, I'd like to request that you take me with you. I'm sure you wish to complete this mission as badly as I do. So, just this once, let's work together. I'm sure we could make it work, you stay outta my way and I'll stay outta yours and everything should go down smoothly."
Syle cocked his eyebrow. The other assassin obviously intended to get something out of this, though of course Syle himself did too. Perhaps this job would bring him closer to his personal goal.

However, to bring along someone else...

Syle, as he had said, never enjoyed working together with others, but perhaps the woman spoke some words of truth; they might be able to speed up the process. Though Syle didn't know of the female assassin's abilities, she must be a formidable assassin if she had been locked up in the royal prisons until only earlier.

"Hmm," Syle didn't sound entirely convinced, but he finally accepted the woman's proposal. "I don't much like it but I guess I'll accept your offer, for now."
"Hey um..." The last remaining knight spoke up to the two assassins, breaking them away from their conversation. "If you want to wonder around the castle, maybe I can accompany you? The other guards probably won't like it to have an assassin wondering around as much."

The white-haired assassin seemed to consider the offer, but dismissed it after a moment of thought.

Syle, however, was curious.

"Is there a way you can get us to the location of where the prince was murdered?" Syle asked. "I am aware that the spot will probably have been cleaned but I am more concerned about the surrounding area. I might be able to glean information from the chambers, which I assume, he was killed in."

"That's just how Ness is. Ever since he knew I'm...well, into guys, he always teases me whenever I show up with a guy. Once, he even mistook my brother as my date," Havran laughed at his recollection despite his lingering irritation. He remembered the bewildered face Saber made that moment and how he choked at his own spit.

"Incidentally, was that a hint of a smile I saw when Luke thanked you? You might not be as monotone as I initially thought, Blue," the assassin said teasingly, grinning mischievously as he playfully poked below the knight's seemingly perpetual flat lips, "Thought it would kill you to smile."

Lyra The Assassin (Duelist)

Princess Miriela looked at Lyra and explained that she was most likely the next target and that, any other assasian would be cut down by this guy named Ish- something. Lyra held her gaze skeptically before turning away.

"The only thing bad about hope is that it's hard to refuse the temptation." Raven warned.

She learned a long time ago that hope was just a child's way to view the world. You start to hope, only to ever be let down. Raven did not want to hope that this mission would succeed, it wouldn't.

The carriage rolled to a stop, Lyra pswung open the door; rather than opening the door she squirrled on top of the carriage. Then she perched there, licking her fingers and lifting them into the air. The cool breeze pressed against them. If this Ish character were a knowledgeable Archer, he'd most likely be sitting upwind. The breeze would carry his arrow further and he wouldn't be for fighting against it. Raven casted her gaze at the direction of the wid. Then she remembered, the note that Z passed to the knight. It must be the same knight who was here now. And Lyra was an easy target.

Raven turned her face to stare directly at the foliage, she made a challenging smirk as if saying,

'I dare you to shoot me'

Then she hopped down.  Decidedly not sharing her newfound knowledge.

The carriage eventually arrived at their appointed destination. Raven hopped out almost immediately, wriggled on top of the carriage, and lifted her fingers to the air. Rynn tensed for the slightest moment, wondering if it was a signal to other assassins, until she noticed that the girl was merely noting the direction of the wind. Strange. After another moment, Raven turned to face the distant bushes and smirked at them. Huh? What is she doing? But the assassin didn't share anything. She only looked away. Rynn briefly wondered if all assassins were this way, or if they were all quite so... unique.

While the princess was still exiting the carriage, Rynn looked around. Sakura pond was decidedly beautiful. The trees lining the open space waved lazily in the breeze, which was wonderfully cool thanks to the enormous pond nearby. The water itself was a deep shade of blue, occasionally made darker by the silhouettes of the fish they were supposed to be catching. Is the beach like this too? Rynn had never seen the shore before, her family being perfectly content to stay at home forever, and the sight of the pond set her mind to wishful thinking. But unfortunately, Rynn couldn't linger on the thought. They had a threat to take care of after all. Rynn straightened her stance and threw her shoulders back to look like a proper, on-guard knight should. She pulled her gaze away from the pond and to the carriage, saying "We're ready when you are, Princess Miriela."

Wallace

Wallace grew anxious when the chained assassin denied his offer, thankfully the blue haired considered it which Wallace was happy until he realized the weigth of the assassin's wish.

"Oh--um..well..." Wallace wasn't sure if he should, but he want to please them and get them on the same side. Ishmael asked him to protect the castle right? Maybe to make the trust efficient he needs to come out honest. "Okay, but it would be great if you stay where I can see you all the time, I think they would want me to keep my eyes on you...I would say that we can hold hands all the time but that would be weird, right?" The knights not going to be happy to have the assassin snooped around in that royal chamber but it's necessary right? they would understand. Boy, he's so going to regret this.

Ishmael

He felt a presence behind him, following him close by only a second before he for certain someone was there, thanks to the bombading cannon. It lessen the element of surprised but still, it wasn't enough for him to simulate the full plan and counter so most of what next is all instinct.

He whirl around  mid jump and firing an arrow at the incoming assassin, doesn't plan on it to hit the target but it should be enough for a distraction, not only that the arrow's also tied to the string too which has been well secured around his waist already. The seeker let himself fall from the branches and out from the oponent line of sight before quickly uses the shadow of the tree to obsecured his pressence, he would reappear again, now as a cat instead of the mouse in their little chase with the bow already drawn and an arrow already aiming for the space between the person's eyes.

Ishmael remained silent, use his cool gazes to ask question as well as challenging the persuit.

"I didn't know it was a common misconception," Kostis remarked as he tried to imagine how much worse it would be to have been mistaken as your own brother's partner. "However, I suppose that it does put me at ease to know I am not the only one he has falsely mistaken for your... date, meaning I'm no one particularly special in his eyes."
"Incidentally, was that a hint of a smile I saw when Luke thanked you? You might not be as monotone as I initially thought, Blue," Havran commented in a teasing tone, poking Kostis below the lips and causing the knight to tense slightly at the sudden touch. "Thought it would kill you to smile."
"Perhaps not. But perhaps I find no need to in front of present company, especially when they are acting in such a casual manner around a knight which might only be something to fuel more people into making assumptions about us being here together because we want to be." The knight pointedly commented as he lifted a hand to brush Havran's own away from near his lips. "Seeing as that can't be farther from the truth, let us enter the Reaver's business now."
Upon completing his sentence Kostis began to realize that the action of entering the restaurant together with the other man might only prove counterproductive to Kostis's wishes and he inwardly cursed at the last several minutes of his life. The young man tightened his hands into fists out of irritation, turning away in direction of their destination and hoping the Scout wouldn't also realize and comment accordingly.

"Oh--um... well..." The knight said uncertainly. "Okay, but it would be great if you stay where I can see you all the time, I think they would want me to keep my eyes on you... I would say that we can hold hands all the time but that would be weird, right?"

"Your are certainly right about that last part," Syle snorted at the last half of the knight's utterance but dropped it as he tried to ease the knight along. "But sure, I'll behave. Let's at least try and see how it works out, eh? If it doesn't we can always leave."

Z: Artificer, Assassin. Miriela: Warlord, Knight

An arrow whizzed past Z's head, a thin wire trailing from the back. A distraction but not enough to distract him.

"Don't shoot" Z said to Ishmael as he caught up "It's me"

While Z never stood a chance in a direct 1v1 fight with the Seeker but the area near Sakura Pond and the Tipsy Queen was his home turf, meaning it was littered with traps. He could have set the entire area ablaze or simply have blown it off the map if he wanted to but that would be counterproductive. Instead he dropped beside Ishmael and simply pointed to the princess.

"We'll be called stalkers at this rate" Z remarked off handedly to Ishmael "Now why don't you target the assassins who are targetting the princess"

"We're ready when you are princess" Rynn said

Miriela exited the carriage last carrying a fishing rod and a tackle box. She proceeded to look like she was fishing on edge of the pond and sat down and waited for the fish to bite keeping an ear on the nearby bushes

Havran shrugged at Kostis’s remark, seeing no harm with him acting casually around the knight. His attention was diverted when he noticed the blue-haired knight balled his fists before turning away and heading to the restaurant the Reaver resided. Havran arched his brow, wondering what the cause of the sudden gesture was. Noting that Kostis’s mind was filled with Ness’s false conjecture, he reckoned there was something particularly ‘wrong’ with what they were doing at the moment.
“Did you think entering the restaurant with me in tow would cause more assumptions or something?” Havran guessed. He didn’t wait for a reply though as he quickened his steps to walk side-by-side with the knight. “Relax, normally people would just think we’re friends. Don’t fret over a child’s wild fantasy too much.”

Lyra The Assassin (Duelist)

The princess exited casually. Lyra rolled her eyes, the plan was never gong to wek. Still, she jumped off the carraige and landed light on her feet. Then she trotted over to some near by brush, her thin and lithe frame allowed her to squeeze into the dense foliage. Raven laid the black part of her skirt around her, from any onlookers, she would look like the shadows from the branch. From Rynns perspective, it would of looked like she simply disappeared. Camoflouge was tricky, but once perfected offered great consealment.

Lyra peered out from the bush, she decided not to predict the assasian, a proper assasians job was to be unpredictable. Raven knew her hiding spot was very predictable. But she had a few tricks up her sleeve- literally. Lyra looked down at her hands, she took in a ragged breath, then slowly peeled her black glove off. Her skin was pale, her hands were soft, she never really took of off her glove. Lyra slowly picked up a leaf with her ungloved hand. She started at it. The leaf began to smoke, the green edges crippled and browned. Lyra gasped and dropped the leaf, shoving her glove back on.

Wallace

Wallace felt himself relaxed a little a smile appear on his face "Ok, follow me...It's Wallace, nice to meet you two" He said as he began leading them to the destination, gesture both of them to follow along, he was a little unsure if the chained girl would come along in the end but he wish she would. They began to walk down the corridors

He half expected his introduction to reach the deaf ears but either way he would listen, or start a smile talk even to lighten up the mood, after a while he began, quite naively "So, what's it like being assassin? Are there any assassins that wouldn't kill?"

Ishmael

"Don't shoot, It's me" Z didn't seem phased by the arrow, even come closer into the stop near where he stood, but it didn't look like he's going to attack, he might be specialisted in setting traps.

Ishmael still stared a dagger at Z. His lips formed into a thin line "that's depending on your intention" but he did lower the bow eventually, let it fly and dig deeped in to the tree, thin line of string follow behind.

"We'll be called stalkers at this rate" Z remarked off handedly pointing toward Miriela who stepped out from the carriaged "Now why don't you target the assassins who are targetting the princess"

This redhead rubbed Ishmael the wrong way, still he tsked, and direct his gaze back to the task at hand, without dropping his guard. He could see that female assassin turned around knowingly to smirk at his direction before disappearing benerth the shadow cased by trees. Again, rubbed him the wrong way.  He wonder if this Z just hand the information to anyone, is he the one coming up with this plan that endanger the princess? Ishmael grimmaced. He has to keep level-headed. He couldn't fall into their little mind games. He shifted his gaze to watch Z's movement from time to time, then back to the princess. His ears listen to the sound of nature and silence between them.

"I, er, know that, of course." Kostis's cheeks flushed the faintest tinge of pink at the other man's reassurance, feeling a fool for dwelling so long on the subject. "... no, you're right, Havran. Forgive me, it's not the idea as I suppose it's just not as far from the truth as could be, at least in terms of I as I am not against, er, dating men. It's just I have some unpleasant memories associated with my school days that cause me to feel somewhat uneasy about the assumptions people make when they aren't true. How unprofessional of myself, of all the times." Kostis scolded himself, always the perfectionist. They were now nearing the restaurant once more and Kostis glanced to the side to make sure his horse was tied securely to the post, the knight having run off in such a rush he hadn't been completely sure he had tied it tightly.

[Syle||Ranger]

As the knight began leading them from the garden towards the entrance to the castle, the tall young man introduced himself. Syle figured the knight was probably expecting them to give their names in turn.
"Syle," Syle somewhat reluctantly volunteered his name, gazing around as they entered into the castle and began walking down the main corridor, as well at the expensive items up on display along the way; vases and pots painted in all sorts of intricate patterns on their sides, portraits and pictures of various scenes painted in bright colors hanging from the walls, dark wooden furniture carved in flowing designs set along the hall as they walked down it.
"So, what's it like being assassin? Are there any assassins that wouldn't kill?" The knight, or rather Wallace, as Syle now knew him to be, asked naively. Syle had to hold back his utter astonishment at the question, forcing himself to keep a straight face.
"Uh," Syle started, silently telling himself not to reply back with one of his usual rather snarky remarks, knowing he shouldn't make the knight more uneasy than necessary if the blue-haired assassin wished to be taken to their destination. "Not really. Killing is in the job description. Although some assassins prefer not to kill certain people, if that's what you're referring to."

“Well, that marks the first time you open up to me. Glad you’re enjoying my company, Blue, cause I certainly am,” Havran said, grinning as he casually rested his arm around the knight’s shoulder, “Who would’ve thought a bland person like you could make my day just as amusing? Definitely not me.”
Havran kept his arm wrapped until they reached the restaurant. He jogged ahead into the place, looking around for anyone. The redhead cocked his brow when he found a white-haired boy seemingly hiding behind a wall.
“Uh, excuse me? I assume you work here?” the assassin asked, confused by the boy’s action.

[Xayah]
The chubby knight introduced himself as ‘Wallace’ before gesturing for the two of them to follow him. Xayah sighed, she'd only just refused his offer but Syle seemed to show interest. Though, the reason he gave made sense. “I guess I don't have much of a choice then do I?...Fine I'll come if you insist” She shrugged. “I suppose I should also introduce myself, I'm Xayah.”
He lead the two of them through a labyrinth of corridors, they were decorated with lavish furniture and decor, though the white haired assassin didn't care much. Wallace then asked a rather bizarre question, “So, what's it like being an assassin? Are there any assassins that wouldn't kill?”
Xayah chuckled assuming the boy was joking, “hehe, an assassin that wouldn't kill? You gotta be joking right? An assassin is one who commits murder, mostly for money...at least by definition.”

Do you work here?" He asked.

Zed's body stiffened in shock, but began to stutter a response, "Y-Yes sir, I-I do. Can I g-get you something?"

"Oh" Wallace's face lose color a little after hearing both assassin's responses. He was being too hopeful. But maybe that's not all there's for them right? Syle's addition at the end should make him feel a lot better. Perhaps they just simply do so out of necessity "W--well, I believe you must have your reasons--- even though I think there's a lot of other ways to make money" He lower his voice in the last part, so much of ligthen up the mood, maybe he should change the topic. The guardian fastening his pace until they reached their destination "We're here" He muttered, poke his head around the cornor first. There's still some guards despite the resident in the room, it's the royal family area after all. Why didn't he tell Blakesley first? Wallace doubted anyone in these ara has already been informed about the roaming assassin, he just hope he didn't run into any of Miriela's more cynical siblings. One of the standing guard spot the big guardian and making a face. Wallace has grown accomstom to it for being from Milos and still serve for Draoma's knight. His big size and a little complex skin are the unique trait of his people.

"Um hello" The young guardian began, stepping out from around the corner "We needs to investigate on the late prince's murder. Sir Blakesley has assigned us...Can you let us in?"

((I will let you handle the guards/ descriping the room once we got in, Ultrageek, in case you want to control how people at the castle would react or if you want to add any clue for the murder yourself at the sight.....I...have no ideas currently))

They had been sitting her for several minutes and nothing had happened as of yet. Maybe Rynn was being impatient. She probably was being impatient. But Rynn was stuck in a permanent cycle of deciding that she wanted the killer to appear so that they could be caught, and deciding that she didn't want them to appear because they very well may be too skilled to be captured. In short, she was getting to be pretty antsy. There came a gasp from the bushes and Rynn spun to face the direction from which it came, but there was nothing. No weapons flying, no shouts of pain or warning, nothing. She stared for a few more seconds at the bushes before turning away. Maybe the killer wouldn't come. Maybe- wait.

Something flickered on the edge of her vision. When she turned to face it, Rynn didn't see anything. That's odd... I could have sworn I saw something... There was another flicker that she could not source, then Rynn tilted her head towards Miriela.

"Keep an eye out princess," she warned. "I think something is here."

It could be anything. A bird, a cat, some other random creature of the wild.

Still, better safe than sorry.

"And who would've thought I'd be stuck with an acquaintance without much sense of personal space," Kostis grumbled under his breath when Havran settled his arm around the knight's shoulder, but despite his gripe Kostis didn't push the other man away as he had the previous time the latter had touched him, too lost in thought about the reason they were even there to begin with.
When they reached the entrance to the restaurant Havran ran ahead inside and Kostis soon followed in behind, glancing around the place before spotting the redhead conversing with a young man with white hair. Kostis neared the two to hear the boy's stuttering answer the question Havran had asked. The knight suddenly felt cold at the prospect that the young man, who seemed almost hidden where he stood, might be in such a nervous state because he knew the royal army was calling for him again as they had done in the past. Kostis began dreading the news he would have to reveal to the boy.
"I am sorry for bothering you, but I am afraid we are not here for meal or drink. The castle has sent me--er, us." Kostis corrected himself in reference to Havran's presence. "So shall we... further discuss the details for our being here?" Kostis felt rather awful that he was going to have to share the grim reason they were there, and feeling all the worst about it due to the fact the Reaver wasn't even someone who volunteered to be a knight in the first place yet was being sent out like one all the same.
---
[Syle||Ranger]

"W--well, I believe you must have your reasons--even though I think there's a lot of other ways to make money." Wallace replied, his tone quieter. Syle remained silent as he didn't much feel like responding to the comment, not wishing to go into the subject of why he had become an assassin or what he was still using the occupation to gain.
"We're here," The knight announced as he peeked around the corner, which Syle assumed was where the late prince's room lay. The Ranger noticed that Wallace seemed reluctant to walk forward and converse with the knights guarding the doors.
"Um hello," The tall knight started as he stepped out from behind the corner. "We needs to investigate on the late prince's murder. Sir Blakesley has assigned us... Can you let us in?"
The guard looked rather skeptical of the request, looking Wallace's companions over. He didn't seem to take much mind of Wallace or even Syle but when his gaze settled on Xayah his eyes widened.
"Why in he.ll is she out of her cell?!" The guard asked in a panicked tone, lifting his weapon up though his eyes looked fearful.
"Calm your britches," Syle sighed, annoyed by the loud reaction. "Didn't you hear your fellow knight? We're here because of Blakesley's orders, so mind your own business, why won't you."
"I highly doubt that Sir Blakesley would wish for you lot to inspect the late prince's rooms, especially with an... assassin," The man spat the word, still glaring the group over. "Of all people, in tow. And who might you be, you little weasel?" The guard finally set his narrowed gaze on Syle. The blue-haired assassin narrowed his blue eyes dangerously.
"I can't believe my ears," Syle huffed, ignoring the jibe and focusing on the topic as a whole. "Why on earth would you feel you have the right to turn away one of the highest ranking knights of the royal army? Wallace was specifically chosen by the head knight--" Syle wasn't actually sure if that were true, but he assumed it was rather a big deal to have a title as a knight so he winged it. "-- and deemed worthy to have a title given upon his name. Do you think Blakesley would give such a rank to someone whom he doesn't trust? The idea that Wallace would be busting an assassin out of prison just to look at an empty room is downright preposterous. Might you be suggesting Blakesley's judgement is poor? I'm sure he would like hearing that, coming from a no name such as yourself and at such a busy time, too. Go ahead, we'll wait."
Syle ended his speech by crossing his arms as he watched guard's face go from sheet-white to an angry red throughout it. Despite the man's obvious fury, he couldn't seem to find fault in Syle's words.
"I... suppose it doesn't much matter as the room is unoccupied," The guard said through gritted teeth, moving to the side begrudgingly. "Enter as... you please."
"Now we're getting somewhere," Syle allowed a large, almost light-hearted grin to come over his face, a contrast to his earlier attitude. "We won't be long, now." He pushed past the guard towards the wooden door, opening it into the room while gesturing for Wallace and Xayah to enter in behind him.
---

((I'll get a description of the room up in my next post as I'm running out of time now.))
((also I'd rather them not find the killer themself right now, as I don't want to get to that point so early in the rp, but you guys can go ahead with someone targeting Miriela.
if someone wants they can start by having someone show up and begin an attack (if not I'll start it up myself in my next post) but I can take the reins once/if they are caught and take it wherever it goes, like if maybe they have info on the real killer or smth. ))

'CRACK'

The hairs on Lyra's neck raised at the sound of heavy footsteps falling on a twig. The snap was loud and fast suggest that a heavy weight layed on top of it. To heavy to be a bird, Possibly a dear. But Rynn had heard it as well. If this was indeed an assasian, they were am amateur, to make such a basic mistake of stepping on a twig. Lyra almost scoffed at the poor soul who was about to get bombarded. This was definitely not the level of expertise the real killer showed them, she also highly doubted it was just a beginner's lucky breakn. Lyra poised herself to attack. For now, it was a waiting game, wait until the moment to strike.

((Sorry for not being too active, I was moving houses (still am) and there was a whole bunch of furniture to move))

The sound of a twig breaking alerted the assassin to his mistake, within moments he was engulfed in string, his screams all but silenced. He was one of the lucky ones, others were not so fourtunate as traps, and the screams of those caught in them, sounded off in the distance. The amateurs would be easily taken out by Z's numerous traps before they even had a chance to reach the princess. But sometimes traps were not enough, and that's where the Ishmael came in.

"Two at 10 o'clock, they have blowguns, one at 3 o'clock with a bow. and 3 at 12 o'clock with blades. Target them as you see fit" Z said to Ishmael

Z was analyzing the assault, there were far more assassins than he had expected, and none that he recognized. Still more were coming towards the princess. It was odd, assassins did not attack in waves but these assassins worked in teams and attacked in waves. Normally the chaos of such an unexpected event like this would have assassins killing eachother more than killing the target. Not so here. While they were amateurs they weren't fighting eachother, instead they were organized and cooperative, something rarely seen among assassins.

Z fired his cannon to replace his traps, moving along the trees and ground to carefully mask his position. As Z and Ishmael were busy fending off the hordes of minor assassins that would no doubt have overwhelmed the Princess's escort with sheer numbers a ripple surfaced in the pond.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Miriela could hear the unease that settled around Sakura Pond, something that made the world seem as if it held it's breath. She could hear the cries of agony as people fell into Z's traps, Z had never shown her his more elaborate traps, and frankly Miriela never wanted to see them.

Miriela kept up her calm appearance until a figure covered in an olive drab full faced veil, and wearing a cloak filled with reeds and aquatic plants. Jumped out of the water, his piercing green eyes holding only hatred as he rapidly drew two blades and headed for Miriela's throat.

Miriela fell backwards letting the assassin's blades pass over her head but could not catch herself as the assassin had stomped on her foot perventing her from moving.

The assassin lifted up his sword and in a thrusting motion went straight for Miriela's heart.

Suddenly there was a scream. The hairs along Lyra's neck bristled, she considered retreating, then she realized what side she was on. Lyra glared trying to a good view of the battle from herbush. She hard chaos all around her.

"Two at 10 o'clock, they have blowguns, one at 3 o'clock with a bow. and 3 at 12 o'clock with blades. Target them as you see fit" Z said to Ishmael .

Lyra gulped. How? Assasins did not work together, for good reason to. They wanted nothing to loose. But, everybody was attached to something, Lyra's fafatal mistake. She had everything to loose.

The rippling of water caught her attention, Raven pushed her face against the leaves, a Thorn held itself against her eyebrow. A man covered in an olive drab full faced veil, and wearing a cloak filled with reeds and aquatic plants. Jumped out of the water, his piercing green eyes holding only hatred as he rapidly drew two blades and headed for Miriela's throat. . He kicked her over and raised his sword hand. Lyra dove out of her cover, the Thorn tearing at her skinbut she didn't even notice the pain- nor the blood that followed. She was too pumped on aderaline.

The swords flashed and dived straight twords the Princesses heart. Just milisecond before they perieced her Lyra apoeared, holding her own sword up to the attackers, the clang they made rippled through the air. Lyra's eyes were faintly glowing, blood dripped down the side of her face from where the Thorn cut her. Raven's arms shook with the effort as she pushed the attackers swords away.  With a grunt of effort,Lyra stuck out her foot in a sisccor kick, sweeping the attackers off of his feet. Now lYra had time to draw both of her swords. She spin the around in her hands.

"This is going to be too much fun."

Wallace

Wallace quickly stepped in between the weapon and the assassin out of instinct "Wait no, please listen!" but stopped short when It was Syle who took the matter into his own hand and shot his words back at the guards. The Guardian grew more nervous at each remark, raise his hand defensively "Umm---actually--I" but he didn't get to finish most and couldn't do anything but let this head arguement go on. His face's redden. Finally the guard back off, and the blue-haired assassin triumpfully open the door for Wallace and Xayah. "Sorry" He whispers sheepishly as he walked past the defeated guard. Wallace's actually grateful that Syle decided to step in and help him, but that was pretty intense.

-----------------------

Ishmael

Ishmael's ear picked up something but by the time he whirled around the poor assassin was already caught in one of Z's trap. Ishamel noted silently to himself of the possibly of this ex-knight similar specialty.

"Two at 10 o'clock, they have blowguns, one at 3 o'clock with a bow. and 3 at 12 o'clock with blades. Target them as you see fit" Said Z. Ishmael doesn't like taking orders from the assassin but this is not the time to dwell on that, true to his word, Ishmael found the assassina as described when he pointed the arrow toward those general directions. He stood his ground like a knight he is, no need for an assault if the target's already coming toward him anyway. As he let lose the arrow, the assassin either shouted in pain or surprised. They're not the fatal blow, most of them aim to incappacitated them, either going for the joint, the legs, the arms, sometime not even injured them but just pinned them securedly to the three by several arrows, the worst they'd get's to be injured enough to put out of commission. One of the assassin that has yet

to be shot down get close to him, only to yelp in surprised as his leg tripped on the thin wire the seeker had shot away from Z earlier. The poor assassin would have fall into Z's trap again if it's not Ishmael who direct that same wire like a puppet to intersect the incoming strings, but the moment of relief is short-live for that assassin as he was then get pinned toward the tree by four arrows a second later.

While Ishmael barely break a sweat he's getting concern at the overwhelming number of assassins, this is such a bad plan He thought to himself as he taken care of another assassin with blade who also got within the close range and force Ishmael to duck around. The seeker quickly gained and upper hand when he succesfully injured him by shotting him at point back range into his shoulder.

He then heard a splash of water, a gasp and someone tripping. He turned around to witness one of the assassin knocked and pinned the princess down on his feet. Panic and rage raise up in  the matter of second, But before he could do anything else he heard the assassin that was shot in the shoulder got back up and swing his big blade at him, If Ishamel ducked a second late it would have cut his head clean of, but his delay's still enough to left a mark on the pale knight's cheek, he cursed himself for being too careless. He used his bow to block another slash, but this assassin has figured it out and used it to pinned the seeker to one place, one battle. As long as he keep up with the close combat and don't give the archer enough time and space to shoot. Ishmael growled, being force to wip out one of his blade for the close combat, he's not given an oppatunity to save the princess at this point.

It didn't take long for the assault to begin. Dismayed cries rose through the air as would-be killer after would-be killer was caught in one of the many traps Rynn assumed Z had planted throughout the area. The bushes began to shake as Z and Ishmael took on the many assassins that began pouring out from nowhere. Since when did assassins work together?! Rynn's mind raced through possible reasons, but she could find none. Furthermore, when did they attack in waves? This whole situation gave off a seriously bad omen to Rynn. She already had half a mind to try to leave. Rynn drew one of her swords cautiously, keeping an eye on the distant foliage.

It all happened too suddenly. One moment, the only threats were the assassins being held off by Ishmael and Z. The next, a blade-wielding being rose from the area Rynn least expected: the pond itself. The person was garbed in some sort of soggy pond camouflage clothing which must have helped them remain hidden - well, that or the assassin was a pond-dwelling homeless killer - and was wielding dual swords that glinted in the sunlight. These blades were aimed at Princess Miriela's throat. Before Rynn could even begin to react, Raven was there, deflecting the assassin's stab and knocking them to the ground with a smooth swipe. She seemed to be more than capable of handling herself against the killer, so Rynn quickly helped the princess to her feet and positioned herself between Miriela and the fight.

Miriela

Raven had stepped in to block the attack, holding off the assassin that come from the pond, the Frogman, for the moment.

"Princess we should go" Rynn said and motioned for Miriela to escape. Miriela wasted no time doing so and ran off with Rynn towards the Tipsy Queen (the bar Z was in at the beginning).

The Frogman rolled to the side taking advantage of Raven throwing him off balance to dodge around the assassin and chase after the princess. With a flick of his wrist he threw three throwing knives headed in the direction of Miriela. Only to be foiled by an explosion coming from the ground. Giving Raven an opportunity to strike his back.

((Frogman is a capture target, not a kill target))

Z

Z had finished setting the rest of his traps and saw Ishmael get attacked by another assassin but saw the Seeker able to hold his own but not participate. Z shot a bolt of lightning at the attacker's head but it bent in the direction of the sword and struck it like a lightning rod, temporarily stunning the assassin.

"Another wave is coming after the princess! don't waste time!" Z yelled at Ishmael while another trap exploded in the distance in front of the Frogman.

Most of the assassins would be unharmed, Z had employed constrictor traps, most of which were made of string or rapidly expanding and hardening foam. But some were actual snakes that would choke their prey alive. Z moved to get a better angle on the Frogman.

Lyra The Assassin (Duelist)

Her oppent rolled to the side, Lyra just watched, sword by her side as he attempted to throw some knives at the princess. Lyra sighed. She sheathed her swords and sprung from where she stood, clearing the expanse of the treeless clearing in a single bound. She managed to hook her hands around a slim tree Brach which drooped dangerously under her weight. Lyra swung her legs back to gain momentum before letting go of her branch. She sailed over explosions, straight twords the attacker. He was foolish turning his back on her. Lyra splayed her legs a bit, just before crashing into the Frogman. She hooked her legs around his body, and sat on his shoulders. The weight of her suddenly on top of him caused the assasian to toppled over.  Lyra squeezed her let's and rotated her hips, by the time they both hit the ground Lyra had the man pinned down in a leg lock. Lyra, who was on her stomach, pinning her victim down with her legs in a sort of sisccor lock, unsheathed her sword.

She quickly drew her blunt handle into his skull, just at the point where the neck was attached to the head, there was an audible thump and then the Frogman passed down. Lyra relaxed and got to her feet. She withdrew a coil of rope from her belt and tied the man up to a tree, she used the rope as a pulley to suspend the man in the branches and conceal him from the others. Raven then finished off the rope with a good sailors knot before jogging away. She would return to collect the body when he came to. They could interrogate him. Meanwhile she had to keep up with the princess. Lyra located the tipsy Queen and followed Miriela inside.

Ishmael broke the contract

Ishmael broke the contact with the blade and jumped back in time when the bolt hit the assassin, temporaly stunned him, Learning this guy's stubborness, Ishmael decided to pinned him down again with the arrow to make sure this one won't get back up.

"Another wave's coming after the princess, don't waste time!"

Ishmael gritted his teeth and was tempted to bite back some remark about censored he doesn't need to be told but decided against it. But now that he's free, he quickly turn his shifted toward the princess, especially after hearing the bomb goes off in her general direction. Omisan has already let the princess to saftly while the female assassin seemed  to be locking her legs around puddle assassin's neck. It appeared he was nearly defeated already but Z too likely to moved in for an attack. Ishmael still doesn't trust these two assassin but for now it's not time to dwell his mind on their behavior, he got another waved of assassin to be taken care of. While Ishmael keep his cool, he was well aware how dire his situation are, seeker are not fit to take down an army of enemies on their own, even with Orion's signature technique and he's running out of arrows. But there're no other options are there, if he is to hold them off and keep them from following the princess. He took a deep breath, relaxing his hsoulder, try to remember all those heroic tells about knight and the Orions his mom and Blakesley told him when he was a child, how they would take down a whole army of bad guys for justice. Maybe he can do this too, but perhaps he needs to change his tactic, no more holding his ground in one place.

Ishmael began to jumped and manuever around from branches to branches, collected back arrows from the assassin who passed out and no longer fit to fight back, this time his standing out white cape become an adventage as it's perfect to keep the assassins' eyes on him and lure them away from their original target, The archer's eyes dart between the persueing Assassins and the glimpse of Z's trap he's able to identify after been operate the thin silver line of string himself for so long. Using single arrow at a time he used them to activate the trap and get the assassin that haven't set off them yet one by one.  Some even sucussfully stopped more than one assassin, when he finally ran out of arrow, he pulled out his sword, throw them like a throwing knives. The last few assassin were being taking care of by his own makeshift trapped, created by the silver line from all the running around earlier and the throwing blade, soon the forest's silent again, or rather, filled with groan from the dangling mens. It was rather an unpleassent sight. He's done it, taking care of the last wave through Z's and his own trap alone without wasting an arrow. It was impressive and he couldn't help but become a little proud but this isn't over yet.

An arrow flew through the air toward the  young knight's head, but was quickly deflect away by Ishmael last blade, the arrow, miracuriously still intact went spiral in front of him before his hand caught it mid air, then used it the fires back at the last assassin. It caught the fabric and dragged the archer assassin toward the tree, knocked him off.

After wait a few moment and was certain that no one else's going to attack, Ishmael signed, Nudging his glasses. While collecting his arrow back he wonder if he should stay with the captured assassins or go after the princess, surely these assassins are only the ones that came to this route and it's highly possibly that many more has already gone after the princess through different mean. Even these guys, their overwhelming numbers is highly concerning there're 18 in total, 19 if you count the puddly guy. 6 for each waves, the first one being taking care of by Z's trap, he took out the second one on his own, the last of's being taking care of by Z's second set of trap(and some of Ishmael's, orchestrated by Ishmael on his own.  It's not something Ishmael seen assassin done before, working together like an army, is it that killer's doing? he wonder.

Raven had tied the assassin up but Z knew it was only temporary so he shot the Frogman with an amber trap. This trap surrounded the victim in rock hard amber casuing them to slowly hideof dehydration unless someone came along.

Z employed various non lethal traps to immobilize and sedate the assassins that Ishmael had disabled. Needles filled with sedatives and bombs filled with amber heaed straight for the targets. They would have to be cut out later, preferably by a big saw.

"Go after the princess" Z told Ishmael "I'll deal with these idiots, oh and tell the barmaid at the Tipsy Queen that the root beer is vile and her jugs need filling"

Z decided to have some fun and put a hand grenade beside each assassin's head, wiring a tripwire to their lips as well as a note saying "Scream for help and you die" This was going to be fun.

-------------------------------------

Miriela had quite the few more assassins on her tail, she counted at least 10. Three of them had ranged weapons and the other 7 were armed with blades.

Even so more jumped out of the trees as they made an attempt at her but she waved them off with her fans and they fell into the pack. But still they kept on chasing her.

Miriela could see the Tipsy Queen from where she was but a group of assassins sprung out of the ground and blocked her way. She was surrounded, and extremely angry as she flung her arms outward and her bucklers and katars clicked into place. Surrounding her were about 30 assassins all closing fast.

"We're fighting this one" Miriela said to Rynn.

Lyra The Assassin (Duelist)

Lyra noted quite a few silver strings among the grasses. Definitely to be avoided, however, she knew there more better-concealed traps amongst the shubbery as well. Lyradeemed it unfit to remaining on ground level much longer. The raven haired assaisn looked to the trees, she quickly squirreled up he truck of a strudy oak. She catiously walked out onto the ok's foremoak limbs, this was a skill she had only recently been practicing. She was still very shaky.  Lyra took a deep gulp of air and launched herself acorss the abyss, clearing the distance and landing in the next tree. She quickly got into the swing of things (I couldn't resist) and began rapidlly spring from tree to tree. The trees began to think, a small rustic hut came into view along with the swinging sign reading 'The Tipsy Queen.' Lyra could not imagine this tattered restaurant as a hub of soicalizing and druken games. Something else caught Raven's attention, a wide circle of assasians, and caught in-between was the Princess and her single body guard. Panic wormed it's way into her gut. Lyra did not fear for Mirielas life, but for the fact that if she let her die, Blakesley would blame her and Z. Lyra and her mother would not stand a chance.

This thought line proved to be a fatal mistake, as it distracted Raven, her foot landed unseadily on the next tree, suddenly Lyra felt a falling sentation. This did not last long, but to Lyra, felt like an eternity. Her movement Suddenly halted, followed by a bone-jarringly painful wrench. Lyra had caught herself on the tree branch and was dangling by one arm. She clawed her way up until both hands were on the branch. Raven's face contorted with effort as she hoisted herself up onto the next branch. She lay there dazed, panting, before reality struck her. Raven stood up and grabbed her shoulder, it was sprained. Gritting her teeth with pain, Lyra ambled at a much longer pace from tree to tree. Luckily, she only had three trees to cross before she was directly over the chaos. 30 against two, hardly fair odds. Lyra fumbled with her uninjuried arm to unhook a vial from her belt. This was the last of this spefic type of airborne poison. Half of it she used eailer to scare the horses, she should of restocked when she got home. It will be just enough to get done what she needed to be done.

"Sorry I am late!" Raven shouted trying to make herself heard over the throng of bodies below her.

"Princess, I highly suggest that you don't breath."

With this obscure warning, Lyra opened the vial and poured it's contents into her gloved hand. It was a large block of Cardice, Lyra dropped the block into a nearby puddle. As soon as the chemical hit the water, it exploded in a swath if dense foul smelling fog. If inhaled directly, can create choking, coughing and gagging. Prolonged expore or consumption could result in death. It wasn't long before the entirety of the small clearing was wrapped in the thick fog. It was a great means of escape, cover so the princess can get to the Tipsy Queen. Lyra began coughing,. She pulled the cloth over her nose for ventalation and dropped from her tree sneaking twoards she she thought was the Tipsy Queen. The mist around her was too dense. Suddenly, her finger tips brushed wood, Lyra slammed open the door, then slammed it shut quickly behind her. She did not want the water fog getting into the pub. Lyra removed her cloth and doubled over in a coughing fit, her eyes watered. She would NIT do that again.

((I did my research, this is a real chemical. I don't think they'd have it in medevial times, but who cares. Also, it took Lyra a while to get to Rynn and Miriela, you if you want you can RP fighting the assasians prior to Lyra arriving.))

Rynn | Fencer

They were close. So close. Miriela and Rynn were nearly at the Tipsy Queen when a huge group of assassins leapt out of hiding. The sheer amount of them that were coming from all over was nigh on ridiculous. Rynn didn't have any more time to ponder this, because the assassins were between them and were they needed to go, and the princess had already drawn her weapons and decided to fight. It wasn't like they had much of a choice in the first place.

Rynn could tell this wasn't going to end well before the fight even began. She took advantage of the brief pause before the action to run it all through her head, and the numbers weren't good in the least. There were about thirty assassins in total. Between herself and Miriela, that would be fifteen each; even if Raven caught up to them in time, there was no way they would make it out unscathed. Rynn drew her sword, and the fight began.

The first few assassins were, luckily, short-ranged. Even though Rynn wasn't too fond of killing, their blades were simply too easy to deflect with her longer sword, and she made quick work of them. Then the real trouble began. The next assassin Rynn faced faked an upward jab and nearly swiped her feet out from under her instead. Rynn regained her balance quickly, but the stagger was enough time for another to stab at her from behind. She blocked that blow with her arm bracers - at least the blade was too small to leave a large bruise - and dodged the first assassin's sudden lunge. The first assassin ended up slamming into her ally instead, and with that all taken care of, Rynn was free to focus on the next opponents. It didn't get any easier. Rynn received several small bruises and injuries and a particularly large cut on her leg over time, and she still had several more assassins on her hands. She had been separated from the princess at the beginning of the conflict and couldn't see her anymore. They needed help. Where were the others?

Rynn's frantic questions were answered when none other than Raven came swinging in, though she looked more pained than heroic at the moment.

"Princess, I highly suggest that you don't breath." The assassin said seconds before she dropped a smoke bomb. Rynn parried the next swipe before running for the princess. Raven was already slipping inside the pub. Rynn helped Miriela get inside as well as quickly as possible before slamming the door shut and locking it. She took a few moments to clear her lungs completely, then started checking over the others' injuries.

That was the second smoke bomb I've been hit by today. What's next?

Miriela

Miriela slashed, punched, and kicked the assassins surrounding her ripping through 3 as they attempted to surround her. Still more came and Miriela punched one assassin onto another's blade, her katars turning her punches into deadly thrusts.

Ducking in and out of the blades of her opponents Miriela slashed through them and in the tight quarters forced some of them to swing their blades into eachother making them easy targets for her smaller blades.

Smoke exploded nearby Miriela as she saw Raven dash into the pub and Rynn follow her inside. Miriela backflipped through the door just as it was about to close and landed sitting in a chair.

"Now it's the boy's turn" Miriela said.

Z

Using his cannon to launch himself through the air like a rocket Z traveled what would normally be considered a large distance in a fairly short time. Beating Ishmael to the Princess. But still not fast enough to stop Lyra from using her smoke bomb.

"Not bad", Z thought as the Assassins lost thier target. Dry ice was a staple of Z's for smoke but in the open air it wasn't enough to hurt anyone just make them a bit dizzy. Z decided to use his version, a substance known as Tabun, that causes paralysis if inhaled as well as terrible convulsions. It was a less than lethal nerve agent but still it was merciful compared to other things he had, it was also cheap to make.

Z shot a cannon burst into the smoke and a fruitty odour wafted over the remaining assassins. Soon they were vomiting and spasming out of control and within seconds they were paralyzed. Z would need to wait for the wind to blow the smoke elsewhere before he went into the Queen.

Lyra The Assassin (Duelist)

Lyra sat herself at a booth and stared at her sprained shouler, she wpface was pained. The barmaid was the only other living thing in the diner, she acted like no one was there, casually cleaning the countertop despite the ruckus outside. Rynn suddenly came in coughing loudly. She began looking over her injuries, Lyra could see the question on her face.

'what next?'

"I sprained my shoulder." The assasian informed. She hated sharing her injuries with others, it was weak. But she was part of a group now, sharing is something she'd have to deal with.

"And I hung a man up to a tree." She finished bluntly, carcassing her sprained shoulder gently. It was swelling up now. Lyra flinched as she stood up and walked over to the barmaid.

"Do you happen to have some ice?" Raven asked.

The barmaid, without looking up from where she was cleaning shook her head. It wasn't winter perserving ice this long was impossible. However the barmaid did fill a tankard up with cold beer and handed it to Lyra. It wasn't for drinking. Raven pressed the cold Tankard to her shoulder, relieving some of the pain and minimizing the swelling.

Ishmael knight

Ishmael jumped a little when Z came back to secure the downed assassin more with his traps, He turned and saw the red head once again beside him

"Go after the princess. I'll deal with this idiot" He told him "Oh and tell the barmaid at the Tipsy queen that the root beer's vile and her jug need feeling"

Irritation filled him again as he's being told around by the assassin, ex-knight or older or not, and he would never tell that to a woman. And he hate it how he had no choice but to comply as his priprity really is too protect the princess, but this really made him into a push over. It hurts his pride more that it's coming from the assassin that's close to Miriela.

"Stop telling me what to do" Ishmael managed to grumbled, tying his string to the arrow and aiming upward. He would travel through higher ground again. The knight glimpse toward Z's seemingly toying with the one of the assassins and he wondered if he should really left the man with them, either for being a fellow assassins that might have been working together all along or the high possiblity that these assassins might not make it out alive by the end of it. Ishmael tsked one more time before he left.

The seeker's eyes searching for sight of trouble through the blur of green as he speed through, it took a few minute of nothing he heard an explosion sounded from behind, his eyes widen as Z just zoomed passed him with his cannon. That darn man and his fancy tools.  Once he saw the pub within his vision, the battle has already broke out and near its ending, Someone has been using some sort of smokebomb again and obscured his vision on Omisan or the princess. Worrying that it's the enermy assassin doing, he hurried his pace but stop short when he spot Z up ahead, set off another smoke, he heard the choking and pained cried from the unfortunated assassin bellow and seeing Z made no move to go into the eye of the storm, Ishmael could have guess that he should get through the smoke either

"What are you doing---!?" He demanded, stopping beside the assassin, trying to scan desperately through cloud to see if the females had made it out unharmed. To him it looks like he just attack the princess and her companion when they're stuck in the first cloud.

[Zed]

“I am sorry for bothering you, but I am afraid we are not here for a meal or a drink” The blue haired knight answered. “The castle has sent me--er, us.”

Zed’s head dropped, his now clenched fist began to shake, “...The castle…” he reiterated quietly. But what could he do about it? He had no choice.

The blue haired knight continued, “So shall we...further discuss the details for our being here?”

“...There’s no need, I know what you want, you always come for the same thing…” Zed whispered fearfully, in reference to every other knight which had been sent by the castle to collect him for experimentation. “...alright I’ll come, let’s just hurry and get this over with so that I may return to my family sooner” the white haired boy requested assumingly.

As he took a step forward in preparation to leave with the knight a dark figure came between them and pushed the knight back in an attempt to ward him off, “Back off!” the feminine voice warned.

“Sister?” Zed said in surprise. “Sister, get away! He’s knight! He could kill you if he willed it!” Zed yelled, rushing to his his sister’s side and tugging on her shoulder.

“Silence Zed! I’m doing this for your sake, you can't keep letting them take you like they do. You’re too soft, and if you don’t have the guts to speak up then I will!” Heles scolded as she removed Zed’s hand from her shoulder. She then narrowed her eyes at Kotsis, “You! How dare your people send for Zed again! Do you have any idea of how much he suffers when you take him!? Do you!? You claim to be knights, yet what is a knight? A brave and honourable soldier who fights for their country and it’s people, not exploit them! That darn army wants to use Zed for their own selfish purposes, he’s not even treated like a human, just some kinda war-tool!”

However, Heles was suddenly interrupted, “Easy Heles, stand down” and calm voice ordered.

Both Zed and and Heles turned in the direction of the sound, which was all too familiar. There stood an old man with an incongruous smile.

“Father!?” Heles and Zed said simultaneously.

“What do you mean stand down? They’ve come for Zed again, you’re not telling me to allow that are you?” The dark haired woman questioned.

“No, but I am saying that we mustn’t make assumptions. Perhaps he has come to discuss a different agenda. Am I right?” Gin explained, turning towards Kotsis at the end. He noticed there was another man accompanying him but he didn’t look like a knight.

“Please, come inside knight, we may discuss the matter further over a cup a tea” the old man invited. “...Your friend may wait out here and accompany my two children” he said, turning his back and opening the wooden door, revealing a hallway which lead towards the sitting room, situated at the rear of the building.

[Xayah]

When Wallace requested access to the room, the guarding knight reacted hostilely, particularly to the female assassin, “Why in he.ll is she out of her cell!?” He growled panicking at the sight of her. Xayah placed her finger on her lips and gently pressed it as she began to smile seductively, the man’s apparent fear was most entertaining for her. She was about to make a provocative retort when the blue haired assassin beside her stepped in. Surprisingly he stood up for both her and the knight despite the guard’s reluctance to let them pass. Eventually, the guard gave in as he couldn’t answer to Syle’s cunning choice of words, “I...suppose it doesn’t much matter as the room in unoccupied. Enter as you please.”

Syle was the first to enter to room where the murder occurred, followed by Wallace. As Xayah proceeded to enter the room she winked at the guard mockingly before stepping beside Syle, “You’re quite the smooth talker, aren’t you?” Xayah complemented Syle, placing her hands on her hips and raising an eyebrow.

It seemed that Raven had read Rynn's questioning glance because she grimaced and said, "I sprained my shoulder." Rynn winced sympathetically. "And I hung a man up to a tree." Now she wasn't sure who she felt worse for: the man or Raven. Raven stood and asked the silent barmaid if she had any ice, to which the barmaid silently shook her head. Raven returned with a cold mug of something or other instead; Rynn had never been into drinking. But the mug wasn't for drinking. Instead, Raven pressed it against her swollen shoulder. Resourceful. Rynn tended to her own injuries for a while. She tore the sleeves off of her shirt and bound them around her leg. It wasn't enough to cover the whole injury, but this would have to suffice for now. A quick check told Rynn that Miriela didn't seem to have suffered any major wounds, thankfully. Apparently she was better trained in fighting groups than Rynn was. Rynn wondered how she should feel about that.

"Well," Rynn began. "I think if we're careful, we can just leave your shoulder be until we get back to the castle where the healers can look at it, Raven. If we have to, I think one of us could, er, shove it into place though." The very thought made Rynn nearly wince again. Now that would be painful. While she waited for a response, Rynn wiped her sword clean on her pants and then sheathed it to draw the smaller, lighter one. Her arm bracers would have to be cleaned of the blood later, when she had real supplies and less chance of cutting herself on them.

It was getting to be late. Raven, Miriela and herself would have to move quickly to get to the castle if they didn't want to risk running into more assassins in the dark. And if they wanted to see their families before the day was over.

Havran watched as the exchange between the Reaver and his family ensued. He was quite taken aback at the fact that the silver-haired boy, Zed, didn’t trust a fellow knight. Strifes between assassins were normal but not between knights. As he listened in, he reckoned the royal army had been using the Reaver inhumanely somehow.
“Please, come inside knight, we may discuss the matter further over a cup a tea. Your friend may wait out here and accompany my two children,” the old man who appeared to be the Reaver and his sister’s father said before leading Kostis into a hallway.
“Good luck, Blue,” Havran said, sending the knight a quick wave. He immediately turned his attention to Zed and Heles, briefly examining them. The two looked nothing alike which piqued the assassin’s interest. He figured one of them was a foster child but soon decided it was none of his business.
“Nice to meet you two, I s’pose,” Havran started, attempting to break the ice, “The name’s Havran Frieden, mercenary.”
‘Well, I didn’t exactly lie. I’m more involved with mercenary groups nowadays,’ the redhead thought, ‘Besides, I’d just make things more complicated if they knew I were an assassin. For now anyway; the boy will find out eventually.’
“By the way, Quivering Quilts, what’s up with the drama earlier?” Havran asked, directing his question to Zed, curiosity getting the best of him, “It’s not everyday I hear a knight opposing his kin and the fact that you were admissive regarding the problem strikes me as odd.”

Lyra held the cold mug to her shoulder while apRynn exaimed her own wounds.

"We need to make it back to the castle, the healers can look at your shoulder. Or one of us can er, put it back."

Raven chuckled darkly.

"I sprained it, I didn't dislocate it."

The assasian leaned back a bit in her chair. Dislocations are when the joint pops out of place, spraining is when the ligaments attaching the bones are stretched too far. The best treatment is ice and elevation. Lyra stared at the wooden door, wondering if the Princess could make it in time. She probably should go out there to look for her, but she wasn't feeling herotic at the moment. She had too much heroism for one day.

The barmaid was strangely silent. Raven guessed that she saw lots of strange figures come by, but she could not of gotten use to full blown wars happening outside her door. She looked as if she expected this, knowing Z, she probably did.

“Nice to meet you two, I s’pose. The name’s Harvan Frieden, mercenary” Harvan greeted.

“Mercenary!?” Zed said in a shocked tone, taking a step back from the man. But he soon relaxed himself a little when he saw the man didn’t appear to have any malicious intentions, instead he attempted to converse with the two.

“By the way Quivering Quilts, what’s up with the drama earlier?” Harvan asked, directing his question towards Zed. “It’s not everyday I hear a knight opposing his kin and the fact that you were admissive regarding the problem strikes me as odd” he added.

“Quivering Quilts?” Zed uttered, somewhat confused. “Are you talking to me S-Sir?”

“Hey, you aren’t mocking my brother are you?” Heles raised an eyebrow at the man. “No, you don’t, because Zed isn’t a knight to begin with! That darn army just wants to use him because of his ability! And he’s just like that, a chicken, can't even stand on his own two feet-”

Zed frowned in response to what his sister had just said. It’s true that he’s submissive, but he finds it hard to avoid his own soft and timid nature. But what’s worse, his step-sister puts her life on the line in order to stand up for him.

Yes, I'm a mercenary, boy. Can't wait to see how you'll react once you find out I'm an assassin, Havran thought sarcastically, willing himself not to let it be known.

“Quivering Quilts?” Zed uttered, somewhat confused. “Are you talking to me S-Sir?”

“Hey, you aren’t mocking my brother are you?” Heles raised an eyebrow at the assassin, “No, you don’t, because Zed isn’t a knight to begin with! That darn army just wants to use him because of his ability! And he’s just like that, a chicken, can't even stand on his own two feet-”

"That's rich coming from someone who just called her brother a chicken," Havran muttered though he didn't attempt to do so discreetly. He raised his hand, signaling the black-haired girl to stop her rambling, "Okay, okay, I got the gist, Hissy Fit. Now shut up and calm your nerves while I talk to your lil bro."

Havran turned to Zed who was apparently frowning at his sister's outburst. "Kay, so you don't have much pleasant experiences with the fancy army. Now that just makes things more confusing," the redhead crossed his arms, arching his brow, "First things first, Kostis and I are not here to take you to whatever this exploit your sis was talking about. Y'see, due to the mysterious murders, the head knight decided it was a real great idea for the knights to work with the assassins. We'd met up, discussed over our moves, then Blakesley ordered us to retrieve you. My point is, if you're not technically a knight as your sister claimed then why would Blakesley wanted you to join the fray? Certainly the guy sees you as more than a killing machine or whatever."

[Kostis Wither||Champion]

The Reaver, as Kostis expected, wasn't enthusiastic about the latter's presence nor his, at least suspected, reason for being there. Kostis began to notice that the boy's hands, which were curled into fists at his side, had begun to shake. Before the knight could attempt to assure the young man that they were to take him away for another reason than what the boy was probably assuming, Kostis felt someone push their way in between them, forcing the knight back and giving a corresponding warning to stay away.
The surprised Zed tried to pry his sister, whom Kostis had heard him address the young woman, away with a word of caution. But the girl wouldn't have it, still looking angrily towards Kostis and going off on a rant that the blue-haired man couldn't exactly claim she were wrong about, despite his discomfort.
After a few moments, Zed's sister was interrupted by an unperturbed voice, in strict contrast to the room's current overall mood, and told to stand down. The woman tried to argue with him but the man's response was somewhat surprising to Kostis.
“No, but I am saying that we mustn’t make assumptions. Perhaps he has come to discuss a different agenda. Am I right?” The old man looked towards Kostis and Havran. “Please, come inside knight, we may discuss the matter further over a cup a tea... your friend may wait out here and accompany my two children.”
"Good luck, Blue," Kostis heard Havran say as the former of the two began following the old man through the door he had opened. The knight nodded slightly, fearing he very well may need the luck, before disappearing down the hallway to be lead to a sitting room. Kostis stood quietly for a moment after they had entered the room before allowing himself to speak.
"Sir, you are correct to assume that I am not here to take your son away for the reasons he and the young woman may think. I'm afraid it's something else altogether." Kostis forced himself to keep his gaze level. Despite how calm and understanding the man had seemed earlier, the knight was used to people quickly becoming angry over hearing orders that came from the high up military, especially when it concerned their own family members. "A mission of sorts was issued earlier today involving the murders throughout the kingdom and your son is unfortunately one of the those chosen to participate in it due to his... ability."

[Syle||Ranger]

Wallace seemed as if he felt awkward about Syle's choice of tactic so that they could enter the room but Xayah complimented the blue-haired assassin once all three had walked in.
“You’re quite the smooth talker, aren’t you?” The woman said, her eyebrows raised and her hands resting on her hips.
"I suppose." Syle responded as he gazed around the room with keen blue eyes. "At times, using some true facts to get your way can be a lot more useful than flat out lying."
Syle closed the door behind them so that the guard on the other side couldn't spy in on them, though Syle wouldn't much put it past the angry man to listen in at the door, not that the assassin cared much either way. The Ranger padded slowly into the rather large room, looking around at the main things that caught his eye; a large four poster bed covered with lavish furnishings, various pieces of carved wooden furniture such as a desk against the wall and several chairs with comfortable looking cushions sitting on the seats, a single bookshelf holding a collection of dusted leather bound books, and a large elaborately designed rug sitting in front of the hearth, the fireplace clean and without wood sitting in it as it was too warm of the year to keep it going constantly.
What drew Syle's attention the most were the floors themselves. The floors to the castle, especially where the royals resided, were quite clean, but the flooring in the prince's room was impeccable, suggesting it had recently been scrubbed as much as possible.
Syle walked closer to a specific spot that seemed as if it had had the most attention recently and leaned down to inspect it. The assassin noticed, upon closer glance, that the hard stone seemed slightly stained despite the obvious best efforts someone had put into trying to wash it clean. Glancing a few feet away, Syle once again took note of the rug near the ingle; closer inspection lead Syle to acknowledge that the rug, too, was stained red along the edges. Despite that it too had been must have been washed as much as possible to rid the ugly brown-red stains from it, they were still obvious, spread across the original green-blue tones to the threads.
"Looks like he died in this area," Syle gestured before rising to his feet and walking over to inspect the nearest window, eyeing the glass set in the frame against the stone. There was not much dust to suggest so, but there were no signs that anyone had opened the window recently, and rather practically so. With the knowledge of the recent murders, it would be very unlikely that anyone would have unlocked and opened the windows for any reason in order to keep the castle as safe as possible. Though it was unlikely they opened them much to begin with; the pretty diamond shaped pieces of glass connected together to make up the window were more for appearance than practical use. The signs that the windows had been opened inward showed it had been few and far inbetween in all the years the castle had been around.
Syle narrowed his eyes and walked over to inspect the fireplace itself, placing his hands against the stone sides on either side and looking upwards. Though he couldn't see much in the pitch darkness that expanded upwards after a few feet, the assassin figured that the chimney was too small for at least the average adult human to enter and exit from.

"The killer didn't come in through a window, and can't be through here either." Syle remarked with a slight tsk, rather impressed by the cunning of the murderer. "They would have kicked down soot and even a dumb maid sent to clean would have seen enough signs of it and reported it to someone at this time of year. Unless there's a secret passage or some sort, which would be rather unlikely and cliché, I can't think of how someone could have gotten in without causing panic sooner. They could've come through the door, though they either would have to be trusted enough to enter in the first place, or have enough money or blackmail to bribe the guards, which sounds rather preposterous as they all seem like blockheads too daft to even attempt with. But even that would be too odd, coming this far into the room from the door to preform the kill? It's not as if the prince was sitting in front of the fire on a cold day. There isn't much reason for it to have taken place right here."

Syle sighed, swiping his gaze around the room again to see if he missed anything blatantly obvious. "Hmmp, it'd be a lot easier to decipher where the killer came from by seeing exactly how the body was placed when it happened and how the wounds and gore spread out around it. It'd be nice right about now if the murderer made a fresh kill we'd be able to go and check out." The blue-haired boy snorted at his own comment and how even to an assassin it was rather a dark wish.

Rynn | Fencer

Raven chuckled at Rynn's words, leaving the fencer in confusion until she said "I sprained it, I didn't dislocate it." and Rynn suddenly realized her mistake. She blushed and nodded, mentally facepalming at her own mistake. In front of an assassin no less, goodness. What a silly mistake.

Well, at least none of us will have to do any relocating, haha... ha... haaa...

Shaking her head to clear it, Rynn began pacing, silently urging Ishmael and Z to hurry. Without the boys, Miriela, Raven, and Rynn couldn't return to the castle. Well, hopefully there were no more assassins to assault them on the way there. The princess was the only one of them who was really fit to fight right now. Rynn absentmindedly blew a few loose strands of hair out of her face. She found herself on the opposite side of the room, near the windows. A quick peek later, she discovered that no one else was visible in the streets. That was good, for now.

Important Thing

((I will be leaving to go on a cruise the 18th and won't return until the 29th[of this month, to be clear]. It's unlikely that I'll be able to roleplay during this time but I'll try to as much as possible. I'll come up with a reason for my character to be gone, but for now I'll roleplay as normal.

Sorry guys))
