Lunar Dragon Adoptables!*
Meet the Lunar Dragon a subspecies of the Moon Dragon!
Fire type: Acidic Saliva
Resembling an armadillo and with ghostly eyes this blind dragon likes to dig huge burrows into the ground and store away any treasure it can find. Even though it's blind it uses it's many other senses. It's tufted ears are very sensitive and can hear even the tiniest of sounds. They're also scary pyschic able to detect bad weather which is a trait found amongst all Moon Dragon types. Their soft belly keeps them warm in the cool burrows. They tend to be very intelligent and curious and will hoard objects in their cave simply out of pure curiousity. Their population is slowly diminishing due to not being fast enough to escape bigger dragons and picky diets.
Personality: Too curious for it's own good, sensitive, gentle, and laidback
Diet: Trout, tuna, and peaches
Abilites: They can roll up into a ball for self-defense and if they gather enough speed they can roll just like a Catastrophic Quaken, and predict weather or omens of unforseen events.
Trainable: Yes but is cautious and tends to take awhile to bond with rider. The key to training it is patience one wrong move and you've lost it's trust. Mostly for riders who like a dragon that looks tough on the outside but is a big softy on the inside.
Fun fact: Their favorite holiday is Easter because they love a good scavenger hunt and it's even more satisfying when the treasure is a special treat.
I'll post more info about adoption in the post below.
i would like number one, it is a very playful being, but also very shy. it takes a while to warm up to people. his name is Lichen.
Personality: calm, observant, curious, mischievous, nippy, picky, feisty, amusing
Backstory: Rogue was exploring the mountains nearby, curious to learn what she'd find. She was digging around in a cave when she came across a smooth stone woth the yin and yang on it. Curious, she picked it up and examined it closer. The stone started trembling. Pieces of eggshell began to fall away as a small burrowing dragon methodically uncovered itself. Soon she was holding a baby Lunar Dragon. Rogue looked at the newly hatched in wonder.
"Well, by Odin's beard, I was not expecting that!" She exclaimed. She carefully handled the hatchling as she worked her way down the mountain, thinking of food, shelter, entertainment, training and care this new addition to her stables would require.
Name: Little Armored One (Little for short)
Personality: Very curious and compassionate, loves making new friends. He would adventure more often if he weren't scared of being hunted.
Backstory: Little had detected a nearby presence. At once he dropped his current jewels (at least what he thought had been jewels) and blindly scrambled into the safety of the rainforest undergrowth.
A soft slithering noise tickled his sensitive ears and made him dare peek his nose out for a quick sniff. Almost as soon as he'd stuck his nose out he stuck it back in, shivering in fear as something bellowed in misery as it dragged on in front of him. Suddenly, with a sharp yip of alarm and a thunderous crashing noise, a large tree fell.
Little jumped out of his skin and unfortunately in front of whatever that noisy, slithering creature was. The creature, however, gave no reaction; it was as if it hadn't even seen him! Now curiousity was tingling in his paws.
Using his sense of smell, hearing and a bit of memory (he'd memorized this path) he followed the creature. Soon the creature came to a halt and whipped around to scream in surprise as it felt something bump into it.
Both Little and the creature shrieked in unison before blindly staggering (or slithering) backwards, each afraid of the other. Much to Little's surprise, the creature didn't strike. Instead, it was trembling ahead of him in fear of the other.
Pity struck Little as he neared the creature's warm body and nudged it. The creature gave a startled hiss and slashed at the air, missing Little by a long shot. After a bit, however, the creature calmed down. The two blind animals had somehow formed a connection. Little reassuringly nuzzled what he thought was the creature's head and cooed in a friendly manner. To Little's victory the creature returned its own friendly coo, confirming a new friendship.
And since that day the blind Lunar Dragon and the blind Whispering Death were the greatest of friends... but if only they could actually see the other for once!
Thank you, for both this lovely adoptable and the complitment!~ I'm flattered :)
