Hi everyone! I’m just that weird, crazy neighbor down the street who you would ask for a cup of sugar. Speaking of, I would like to bake you a cake:

Ingredients: 1 cup of sugar, a partridge in a pear tree, one cup of insanity, one episode of studio c, and one cup of yaknog. Anyone he is able to keep it down will get a virtual cupcake from me :D

Now then, here is some stuff about me:

I love dogs and puppies

My favorite dragon class is the Tidal Class

I like singing and preforming for others

Some of my hobbies are drawing, cooking, and writing.

I’m also a Wings of Fire fan

I love role playing and making friends with other people :)

Here is a list of my personal characters (I’ll put up more info about them later):

Just look at those paws go!

Now, on a serious note. This is a message to all those dogs out there. Dogs can really be a man’s best friend. Dogs will always be there for you when you need them most. Dogs don’t judge you or make fun of you. Dogs have helped me become a better person and start winning over my stress and anxiety. They have helped me realize that there is more to me than just me. To them, we are their everything. And to me, they are my everything. So thank you, for everything.

The Cunning Kyte

Well, I have some winter dragons but I'm not finished editing them.

So here's a fun fellow and one of the first! Enjoy!

The Cunning Kyte

The Kyte is a hyperactive, highly intelligent dragon. Smallest of the riding dragons they make up for stature with flashy red and orange colors and a bright forked tail. Their signature attack is a divebomb reaching speeds upward 200 mph. Known throughout the Archipelago for their mischief they’ve been dubbed the “Loki” of the dragon world. Heed the bark or be Lokied!

Size:

3ft at withers

15ft nose to tail

Combination of:

Peregrine Falcon

Fox

Swift

Swallow

Glossary:

Tod, Tiercel, or Reynard (males)

Falcon (Females)

Kits (hatchlings)

Stats:

Class                   Strike

Ability:                Mischief

Attack:                8

Speed:                10 (8 with rider)

Armor:                None

Shot limit:           N/A

Venom:                None

Jaw strength       5

Stealth                6

Colors: (both male and female)

Black, Silver, Brown, Red, Orange, Cream, and White

Fire:

Regular fire. Liquid petroleum that is ignited immediately after leaving the mouth. Sort of flame thrower style. They don’t have a shot limit because it depends on how much they use per “shot”, but they have about a gallon if the tank is full. Pun intended XD

Flight and movement:

Light on it’s feet. In the air comparable, if not more agile, to the Nightfury. But because of the dragon’s small size only Vikings of the lightest build can ride it. Hiccup is right at the limit. Even his weight makes the dragon easily beaten by a Nightfury.

Call

What does the Kyte say? Mostly he barks. But yelps, whines, howls and growls get involved too. During mating season, you might hear a “wow-wow-wow” or an eerie wail in the distance. Compared to the hissing and roarings of other dragons it would seem a pleasant step back, but trust me he is no pet dog.

Courtship:

Courtship consists of playful romping and affectionate nuzzling. A male kyte stakes out his territory which includes the area his mate lives in, and defends against other males. They remain a pair until either one dies or the male loses a territorial match. In some cases the female will reject the victor and follow the defeated dragon to new territory.

Defense:

A tricky subject. Kytes are notorious for their pranks and quick wit. They can easily lose a nadder on the scent by backtracking, jumping up a tree, and diving into the nearest body of water. In the face of danger they laugh, daring such enemies as potent as the skrill and singetail to catch them if they can. A pair of kytes will even tag each other out as they are being hunted, leaving two trails and confusing their attackers. Another tactic is to pit two enemies against themselves. For example; being chased by a monstrous nightmare, the kyte runs ahead to harass a changewing into pursuit then doubles back on the monstrous nightmare.

…but, when all is said and done though, and the kyte is left with no more tricks up his wing, he has only a strong bite and a fiery fighting spirit.

Challanging:

Male kytes, known as reynards, fight over territory and falcons (females). When challenger and territory holders meet, they have a stand-off, circling each other slowly heads down and tails curled around their sides, away from their opponent. If the intruding kyte does not back down they meet to test each others strength, pushing against each other’s shoulders with jaws open wide and ready. Then they fight with claw and tooth. The battle ends when one of the males submits, lowing his body to the ground as a sign of peace. The victor fans his tail straight up and straightens his legs to stand as tall as possible. The defeated dragon flies off, and if the victor is gracious, without a nip in the behind.

Diet:

Kytes are voracious carnivores and yes, the dine regularly on other dragons. These include all dragons smaller than them and a few larger, such as the mimikoo and scuttle claw. They enjoy a challenging hunt, so even dragons like speed stingers are not safe.

Kytes will also eat berries and grains and anything easily and readily available to them. Fish and animals are of course on the menu as well. They do like sheep.

Natural Enemies:

Nightfury, Skrill, Tryple Stryke, Singetail, Typhoomerang Monstrous Nightmare, Changewing…

These probably wouldn’t be a bother… if it wasn’t that the orange dragons were such a bother to them. Kytes enjoy taunting other dragons, waving their beautiful tails in the air to show off, nipping at a sleeping monstrous. They get themselves into a lot of trouble. Nightfuries just want to get them out of their scales but others, such as singetail and skrill, are more than happy to bring on a deathmatch.

Hatchlings:

Kytes, both male and female, adore their hatchlings. Since they hatch in winter the female’s fire is needed to keep them warm, so the male provides food for her. He will usually stay with them the first two months after the kits hatch, hunting food for them and playing until they are strong enough to fly. When the kits hatch they are a dusty brown or grey but as they grow their scales come in to show their true colors.

Eggs:

Kind of a rusty brown. Nothing special.

Viking and dragon:

The best time, as with most dragons, to train a kyte is when they are little. It will be a ridiculous amount of work. The hyperactive hatchlings are always running always biting and chewing on something or someone, hardly sleep, always hungry and always challenging your authority. They are also trying to catch and eat anything that moves. Be prepared for a lot of roughhouse play a ton of feeding and no time in between, because having a baby kyte is like having a baby. You will have no other life for at least a year.

It is very difficult to train a kyte and they are not the type of dragon just anyone should have. But if you can, and you are small enough, there is nothing like a Kyte. You own the sky, the clouds, the stars and the sea itself. And the kyte? If you trained him with respect and kindness, he will love you with all that he is, and fiercely protect you all the days of his life.

Hey! If you put the Kyte up for adoption, I'm calling first dibs! I want one! They're so cute! Garenth could easily keep these guys in line. Especially if we get them as babies. He usually ends up on papa dragon duty since he's my flock alpha

All artwork can be found on my DeviantArt page! Feel free to check out all of it out!

Shea (left) and Paris (right), two fan-made Flightmares of mine, and both mates (Shea is female, Paris is male). Paris is also seen with his rider, Taiga Krummholz.

I like to also expirement and practice with nature. The vally on the left I made for a school project, the ocean on the right was just for fun.

One of my more prouder nature works, inspired from a song that I was listening to.

With these, I gave myself only an hour to complete, timing myself. I used screenshots from SoD as references. I really like how they came out - the Flightmare looks really cool without the lines.

This here is a squad meme with four of my original characters (they aren't based on any fandoms). I'm really proud of how they came out since I'm not that great with humans.

My second ever squad meme, with all of my vikings! It took me two days to complete, but SO worth it in the end!

Random Screenshots!

(it was going to happen eventully)

I started a new viking and I finally got to make Paris, my fan-made Flightmare! While I'm not a fan of pink dragons, I've made an exception with him. I made this one rather poorly since I was so excited of getting my friend!

This here is Dreadflight, my Titan Flightmare! I had saved a Titan-age-up just for her, hatched on Dreadfall! Her orange and black colors work perfectly with my favorite holiday!

Meet Wendigo, my first ever Death Song! I didn't actully get him from the "Call of the Death Song" expansion, but from a random blind box in my Backpack. He has a very large ego and is dating my friend's Monstrous Nightmare, Lapis!

My beloved Oceania - my starter dragon (I got her waaaay before the new beginning, so I got a Deadly Nadder first) from my ancient School of Dragon viking: Hypno Serpenteye. She's been with me for a long time and will always hold a special place in my heart ^-^

SNIFF SNIFF! PERFECTION!

A cute little college that I did with screenshots of my first ever Deathgripper, Eitr!

Created @ canva.com

XD Meet cute, baby Onda (his full name is Onda Gufo). He's Penguin of New York's main dragon, and a very loyal Shovelhelm at that! (I love Shovelhelms so much ;3)

This is Ithaqua, my only Slithersong of current, and daughter of Wendigo (let's just say he cheated on his Monstrous Nightmare crush for a rather beautiful Slithersong. . .). This screenshot is an odd one since it's a picture of when Ithaqua felt like breaking psychics and try to fly as a teen. . . she ended up glitching into the ground XD

Happy Snoggletog to me, I guess!

Can't forget my mighty steed - Soundmopi! Well, I don't actully call him that, he's more infamously known as WHAAAAAAALIMER!!!!!!!!! (with a deep voice and all). It's a long story. . .

(More coming soon!)

You have reached the bottom, thank you so much for reading! Now for your reward!

Awwwwww!!!!!!!! I LOVE THE CUNNING KYTE!!!!!!! They are adorable!!!!!!!!!! I love everything about them, including the mischief element! I would love myself a dragon version of Loki! XD

Their 'barks' are so cute as well!! And I love how they fight! Pitting enemies against each other... pure genius!!!

Also, the little animation at the end was also really fun to watch!

The Cunning Kyte is definitely hands-down my favourite of all your dragons, I love it so much!! I really hope you put them up for adoption sometime because I would love one!!!!!!!!

Snow Flurries

Snow Flurries

Time to bring out the winter dragons! I was going to do these and The East Windago around Christmas but I got a little busy ^^

I created the snow flurry last year in August during a camping trip. Originally that was the name of my next dragon, the East Windago, but it seemed so fitting for these little guys I had to change it.

Snow Flurries

Snow Flurries are extraordinary creatures. Nano-dragons of the smallest size, their numbers are not known, but the lore that revolves around them is. In ancient days it was said that if man or beast was fatally ill they could climb the Alps and entreat the mountains for a cure. Sometimes they were merciful, other times not so much. You could only know the answer had been favorable when the snowflakes swirled around you with a mind of their own.

Size:

1/8 inch (actual size)

General Description:

TINY and icy snowflake

Color:

Clear, white, blue or a mix of all

Inspirations:

Snow flakes

Sea horses/dragons

Fairies

Antibiotic organisms

Skink

Glossary:

Snowflakes

Snowflurries

Class:                    Mystery

Ability:                 Healing

Attack:                 0

Speed:                 0

Armor:                 0

Shot Limit:          0

Venom:                0

Jaw Strength       0

Stealth                 10

Fire Type:

No fire.

Animation:

Seahorse/Snowflake

Offense: N/A

Defense: N/A

Camoflauge. You could not tell a snow flurrie from a snowflake without it holding still, and even then you’d probably need a magnifying glass.

Social:

Studies indicate Snow Flurries are highly social… although it’s hard to tell what’s snow flurries and what’s snowflakes because you can’t have one without the other. Still, one account records five individuals- the recorder just hopes he didn’t melt any of them by accident!

Hunting/Diet:

Undetermined, but they consist mainly of water so the natural conclusion is their diet is primarily water.

Poison:

Not applicable- however, their bodies are anti-biotic organisms

Natural Enemies:

Heat of any kind

Hatchlings:

Nothing is known about how the snow flurrie ages. Current theory is that they live in the same winter storm clouds as the adults.

Eggs:

Tiny shards of ice. You would have to have a microscope to see one. As the female lays the eggs the male picks them up and releases them into the wind.

Fun Facts:

Snow Flurries are extremely sensitive to heat. A puff of a human’s breath could melt them away.

They have varying life spans. They will continue to live as long as there is nothing to melt or dry them out. That could be as brief as an hour or as long a hundred years.

They are known for their healing, but few realize that they sometimes sacrifice their own lives for those they choose to heal.

Snow flurries are best at healing people/creatures with bacterial infections since their bodies are natural anti-biotic organisms (which of course no one knew at the time) They’re much more powerful than our current anti-biotics; one Snow flurry would be enough to heal an infection that we would have to use antibiotics ten days for.

UPDATED: thanks to Cryptidgirl, I've come up with an idea that doesn't involve the Snow Flurry having to hideto heal. Thanks, Cryptid!

To heal someone/something, a snow flurry must brush the tip of it's tail against the infected area- the tongue for an illness or the infected area for an injury . It's very dangerous for the little dragon to get so close to our body heat and they have to be very carefully and quickly- and the ailer must try not to breath on them. Once the virus/bacteria is detected the dragon flees to the safety of the cold where antibodies inside the dragon build up for attack; concentrating all their strength into the dragon's tail. With all these antibiotics the dragon returns to the ailer, releasing it's tail on the tongue/infection. the tail dissolves, setting the antibodies free to do their work, and the dragon is no worse for the wear. It doesn't hurt them to lose the tail and they can grow them back in a little over an hour, since they're mostly made of water and there's plenty of that in a snowstorm

Legend has it that they have been gifted the ability to search the soul of those seeking healing. This is of course pure folklore, but may be rooted in facts. Not everyone who is ill or injured can be saved with antibacteria.

Training: Not applicable. They seem to have good temperaments, though.

There is no way to tell how many snow flurries exist. Sightings are few and far between, and cluttered with snowflakes that make study difficult.

No two Snow Flurries are alike. Each one is as unique and delicate as a snowflake

They are both very curious and trusting. Living in high elevation areas very few living creatures come their way, so they tend to make the most out of a visit, fluttering around you until you return to a warmer place. They appear to be very playful as well.

Researchers believe they're the most intelligent animal of their size.

(in response to Sky) yeah,

(in response to Sky) yeah, these guys were a little more imaginative/magical than my usual style, kind of fairie-like, but meh, I had fun with them. I kind of wanted to do something the exact opposite of the auroras but just as mysterious. Thought the antibiotic concept helped tone down the magical factor though ^^

And (Ladybrasa) their ability is sad... one of those a gift and curse sort of thingsbut at least they have the choice .. Couldn't think of any other way for them to give healing since they're so small... open to suggestions for some unique way they could give healing without melting :3

They wouldn't be used for healing - more like a living snowfall and for study. If you live in an area where it gets cold but you don't get snow, they'd make a great holiday effect for hospital kids - perfect entertainment after all

Updated info on the Snow Flurrie

I noticed everyone thought it was too sad to have the snow flurry hideto heal someone... and I agree. So! thanks to some great ideas from Cryptid I've come up with an alternate method! Still dangerous for the little dragons, but if everyone's careful they can make it out just fine ^^

The East Windago

The East Windago

The East Windago lives primarily in Arctic Siberia, but they're found just about anywhere in the Arctic circle.

These dragons suffer a formidable title and not without warrant. For centuries the northern peoples feared them, believing they were dark spirits with the faces of a tigers, preying upon those lost in winter storms; cursing them so that even if they did reach shelter they died of cold.

Size:

Length (snout to tip of tail) 10 ft

Height: 3 ft

Width: 2ft

General Description:

Two wings, four short legs, tail almost the same length as the body. Two black heat-sensory horns above ears, beard, large glassy eyes, black heat sensory patch on tip of snout, three stripe-like gills on both cheeks

Color: black and white, grey and white. Blue, yellow or red eyes

Inspirations:

Tiger

Comodo dragon

Ferret

Storm Petrel

Folklore

Glossary:

Petrel (Female)

Hob (Male)

Kit (Hatchling)

Clutch (litter)

Class:                    Mystery/strike

Ability:                 Neurological gas strike

Attack:                 4

Speed:                 7

Armor:                 3

Shot Limit:          1

Venom:                8

Jaw Strength       0

Stealth                 10

Fire Type:

A Neurological gas that it exhales through it’s gills. The gas attacks and destroys the victim’s temperature regulating system, in the winter storm the victim quickly succumbs to hypothermia and dies. The Windago is immune to the gas.

Animation:

Weasel like on ground. Storm petrel in the air.

Offense:

They fly a circle around their victim, exhaling neuro-gas through the ‘cheek stripes’, which are actually gills on their faces. They then wait for the victim to fall asleep.

Defense:

the ice that forms on their body works as both armor and camouflage. If spotted, they use evasive aerobatic maneuvers. Only if actually captured do they fight back with neuro-gas, teeth and claws.

Courtship:

Windagos are very romantic. If on the ground they embrace their more playful side, romping and teasing and chasing, nuzzling and hugging even. If in the air, which is usually where they are, they dance by spinning around each other, touching wingtips.

Challanging:

Male Windagos fight for mates. The battles are brief, lasting at most about ten seconds, but they can be savage and fatal. Females battle for territory… or well, dens, anyway. Since they’re stockpiling food for the summer, lazy dragons will sometimes try to steal a full den rather than find food herself. They do this by sneaking in while the owner is gone and sealing the entrance shut. The owner can accept defeat or try to dig out their den. If they dig the den out they might compromise it to polar bears or collapse. Sometimes the owners get back before the thief has finished sealing the entrance shut and are able to shoo them away. These battles can last for days and even weeks, but usually aren’t harmful to the dragons themselves. They can be devastating for the losers’ hatchlings though, since the lazy dragon likely hasn’t stocked any food anywhere, let alone dug a den out.

Hunting:

Windagos have a heat sensory patch on their snout that resmbles a nose. Their beard and egyptian goatee work as satellites to pick up sound vibrations in the storm, and the ice that builds around them only enhances the ability. When they have located prey they use the above method, in offence section. For fishing they only use sonar and a good dive, since most fish swim at greater depths during a storm. The dragons are capable of diving as deep as 700ft

Diet:

Arctic fish and animals. If they’re starving, small to medium sized animals, people, and fish.

Natural Enemies:

Predatory: Snow Wraith, Polar Bear, and Wolf. Primary of which is the snow wraith. Bigger than the Windago and in its prime in a blizzard, they have naturally become the Windago’s greatest adversary.

Hatchlings:

Hatchlings are very independent. During Summer in the Northern Hemisphere, females dig nests deep into the ice in the coldest part of the arctic. They fill the dens with a large cash of frozen food, seal the entrance, lay their eggs and then enter into hibernation. This is a very dangerous time for the Windagos as Polar Bears and arctic wolves are fully active. If the nest is hidden well the young will hatch halfway through summer and eat the food their mother has stored away. When she awakens from hibernation at the end of summer, she teaches them how to hunt their own food, how to hide from predators and how to navigate the blizzards. They follow her for two weeks, then move out on their own.

Eggs:

Similar in appearance to Flightmare eggs.

Training:

Consider them Strike class. Intelligent, but more timid than usual due to significant weaknesses such as heat and skin sensitivity. Like the kyte they have a great deal of energy but they’re more prone to flying off than causing trouble. If you don’t have time for at least 4hrs of rigorous flight a day, the Windago is not for you.

It’s better to train them as adults then when they are babies, due to their independent and nerverous nature. When they reach adolescence, they become more curious and social.

Windagos are expensive and high maintenance. They must be kept under 40 degrees Fahrenheit at all times, including when being ridden. The best options for riding are thick, insulated saddles and clothes. Petting with your bare hands is possible but not recommended.  They also will not eat any fish except those found in the arctic, and they need a LOT of them. Same for animals.

In addition to their other sensitivities Windagos are sensitive souls. They need the 4hrs of riding time, but also just one on one time. If you only show interest in riding, they will grow depressed and/or distant. However, once a bond is made even under these conditions a Windago will not abandon you without your consent.

A Windago with it's Ice Armor

Fun Facts:

Their skin is very sensitive.

They have pores in their skin that melt and refreeze any water particles in the air, creating and ice-armor around their bodies that protects them from the ice and wind. The ice-armor doubles as a protection against the Snow Wraith so it doesn’t register the Windagos’ body heat in the storm. The pores are found only in the black part of their stripes, and the ice armor is constantly breaking off and being replaced.

When wearing their ice armor, they can freeze their legs to their bodies, appearing to be wyrms instead of dragons.

The ice armor pores mentioned above are also the Windago’s source of water. They drink through their skin.

The webbing between each finger of the Windago’s Wing can detach from the others when the stormy gusts get too strong, working something like a vent or window blinds. Their long, finless tails help them maintain balance.

Windagos spend most of their lives in the arctic blizzards landing only to raise young or hibernate through the summer. This is why so little is known about them, the only part of their lives humans can study is on the ground.

Windagos have a unique temperature regulating system that makes them immune to their own toxin. Their average temperature is just under 32 degrees Fahrenheit. A Windago’s temperature should never exceed 55 Degrees Fahrenheit. Internal damage can be done at this temperature, and at sixty degrees they will die.

They have extremely high metabolisms, which can be detrimental if they don’t find enough food.

Although the Windago’s statistics put it in the bottom of the battle barrel, if you pick a fight with a Windago they will put their heart, soul and mind into making you wish you never had. A Snow Wraith was discovered dead along an island coast, in the aftermath of a severe storm. Upon inspection the dragon was found holding a Windago, also dead, in its’ jaws. The windago had whipped around and got at its killer’s throat, avenging its own death.

Vikings did not realize that the East Windago was an actual creature until the dead Snow Wraith was found on the beach. The story circulated across the archipelago until it reached Berk. Fishlegs went to investigate the remains, and was the first to put the legend and the creature together.

Awesome dragons!!
There are still so many ideas to use, many dragons to create and some of us here are the proof.
Ingenious dragon, if I may say ... has similarities with my dragon "Stains". The elongated body, the feline face ... but other than that at the same time so different. I know the Chameishida dragons and yours, what others do you recommend?
And if one day I can, I would adopt one of these fantastic dragons, but I want to be cautious with those that I get :)

Windago = Windigo?

Sounds like this guy is based off the canibalistic Windigo of Native American mythology. I wouldn't mind having a few of these guys on security duty at my farm or homestead.

Kinda...

Kind of. All over the world there are legends of monsters that come out during winter storms. I didn't base much off the actual windigo except the name and fact that the dragons are terrifying if you don't know anything about them or how the gas works. In ancient times such an ability (the gas is almost completely invisible) would be considered magic. It also didn't help that they use stealth for their attack, blending in with the snow and ice as they fly a circle around the victim. Few people who suffered an attack by one of these dragons even saw them, and those that did just got a glimpse of their tiger-like faces.

The other part of their name is derived from "An East Wind" I think the first time it was used to describe an impending plague on the Egyptians in the Bible, in Exodus. For centuries it's been used around the world to describe a coming storm or omen.
