Just Because I Want to Show it Off...
I have no reason for posting this other than being super proud of how it came out. I'm not much of an artist, but today I got inspired to draw my friend, his best friend and myself in our uniforms...
And I just can't get over the uniforms! They came out soooooo good!
This is a hilarious/dramatic story that my friend and I came up with and dragged his best friend into. Its set during WWII and we are fighting on the Eastern Front of Russia against the Nazis. But we all have very different ideas as to who is right in this conflict, so there is a lot of fighting going on between us as well. (No joke, my friend actually stabbed me with an icicle last month to overthrow my opressive rule as he called it, since I'm the Nationalist. XP Nevermind I may have attacked him first... *cough cough*)
So from left to right, The Nationalist (myself: a Kuban Cossack girl who wants freedom for Russia. Democracy for Russia, yay!), The Soviet (My good friend, a Cossack-turned-Soviet during the Russian Revolution who saw the inequalities of the masses and fought for peace in Russia. All he wants is peace, really.), and The Tzarist, (our third friend, a Don Cossack, who fought for the Tzar during the Russian Revolution and wants to restore the peace and the way things were.)
All three think they're right, all three will fight to the death for their beliefs...
But can they overcome their differences to fight an even greater threat, the Nazis? XD
Soooo random and nerdy, I know, but I was too thrilled not to share this. I hope someone out there likes it. :) Thanks for reading.
Oh and P.S, what I wrote in Russian underneath translates as, literally, "Team Russia: For Russia!"
That's awesome! :D
And while we're on the subject of ponification...
Ta-da! Freefall, aka MLP me.
(yes, I know it's horrible, but I've never drawn ponies before, OK?)
Aww, thanks! I updated the design, though, because I couldn't keep cringing every time I looked at it.
Obviously my hair isn't quite so... cherry-like IRL, but this is MLP. I don't think 'drab' exists there... XD
Now I just need to figure out how to incorporate silks and/or trapeze into the cutie mark without making them look like curtains... hmm.
Freefall definitely suits me as my pony name, I'm forever jumping off the highest things I can get to that won't cause me to break all of the bones in my body. As soon as I'm legally able to go skydiving, believe me, I will be going skydiving. Calamity Pen... that is awesome, though. Hope you don't mind if I start calling you that, because I need nicknames to function in life. Just ask my pets.
I bet even their cold and rainy days are somehow still bright and colorful. Pony logic is occasionally hard to understand.
Hmm, a parachute, that's a pretty good idea! I was thinking something circus-related, but who says that that isn't? Besides, it won't get mistaken as a curtain. That's always a plus.
Okay, seriously. How does every single person on this forum have a horse other than me? I just don't get it...
Honestly, I think you're better at drawing pony anatomy than I am XD I apparently can't do simplistic things, oh well. And do you have a second picture in there? If there is, it's not showing up.
Also, I like that shade of purple :D
Nicknames are awesome. It's like inside jokes, but better!
Hmm, maybe I should watch more. Now that gets added to the ever-increasing list of shows that I need to watch sometime. So far I think there's at least 5 of them, whoops. Maybe over spring break...
I remember that one! It was good, but it's been a while since I've seen it so I really only remember the basic plot. I did catch the Communist bit though, I like it when there are connections like that. And of course I've got a (not-so)-secret love of metaphors, so there's that too XD
Well, I have a few times, at a summer camp I went to. I wanted to do it more, but honestly there's just not enough time in the day! School, homework, circus, soccer, 'nothing' time... I think my schedule's a bit full. And then I want to do more circus, and maybe take karate, and since there isn't any horseback riding near me, it's a bit hard. And then I'm doing circus pretty much all summer, then flying to Austria, so I'm pretty much booked :D
