Introducing the Pebble-Shooting Speed Demon ~ Adoptables
With a brand new design, here is the Pebble-Shooting Speed Demon!
One of the fastest dragons currently known to Vikings, the Pebble-Shooting Speed Demon is a close cousin to the Night Fury, and can easily out-fly a Skrill.
Instead of spitting fire, this Boulder Class dragon swallows chewed up rocks, which are made into fine pebbles using a special stomach, and shot out like a bullet.
Green - Rocks are chewed and broken into small pieces, and travel down this tube to the stomach.
Red - With the help of special stomach acid, the rocks are tumbled around and dissolved until they are smooth, round pebbles. This process takes approximately 8 hours.
Yellow - Pinches shut while rocks are being fined.
Blue - Pebbles travel through this tube once fined.
Purple - Pebbles are stored here until ready to be shot. Once ready, this section pinches shut faster than the blink of an eye and the pebbles are forced out at a great speed. These pebbles can pierce the skin of any dragon with armour at or below 18, killing them, depending on where they are shot. (Just like a bullet from a gun)
The wings, instead of being rounded at the arm, are instead sharp and the membrane is more firm than that of most dragons. This helps the dragon to be more streamlined.
These dragons are extremely difficult to train, if you get so lucky as to come across one without it attacking you. They live in groups called armies, which consist of an alpha male and female who are equal in control. They live in mountains, often in valleys. The army will hide on either side of the valley and when a trespasser is spotted, they will shoot at it from above, unseen. Hatchlings do not gain teeth built for grinding rocks until they reach one year of age, so a female, called a queen, devotes her life to caring for and protecting all of the hatchlings in the army until they are old enough to fend for themselves. Some members are raised as hunters, and hunt together by dive bombing and shooting their prey, such as smaller dragons or mammals such as deer.
If one is managed to be trained, they can be quite stubborn and are somewhat aggressive due to their low level of patience.
Pebble-Shooting Speed Demons are ridden much like a modern-day motor cycle, and require streamlined saddles. The rider must flatten themselves against the dragon as much as they can, or they will be pulled back by the wind and will loose control, often times resulting in them flying off of the dragon. This is why many saddles consist of a foot strap, and some even have hand straps.
These dragons are primarily found in dull gray-ish colours, often blue, grey or green, so they can camoflauge to the mountain tops. However, they can also be found in different, but still quite dull colours.

How I trained it:
I found Chameleon on the top of the hill, near a Mountain, all alone and scars over her face. I tried to rub her but she backed off growling. I looked in my Sachel and found some bits of Fish. I threw one a few meters infront of Chameleon. She looked up at me and looked back down at the Fish. Then she gobbled it all up. I walked backwards and threw more Fish. A few moments later me and Chameleon were in the Village. I led her into my house. I closed the door when Chameleon was inside.
"Here girl"
I said as I was giving her a Salmon.
I held out my hand. She touched it. Later I treated her wounds. She was the best Dragon you could ask for.
Hey...i think i'll try for number......3? The tiger i think XD These are cool tho, they shoot freakin' pebble bullets.
Number:I think 3
Name: Tiger (I'm sorry XD Tell me if i need to change it)
Saddle: Yes
How I Tamed it: I had stumbled upon a male, seemingly hunter, Pebble shooter dragon. Tiger...was the only thing that came to mind of course if i was going to at least attempt taming this awesome dragon. I cautiously stepped forward, the stray rocks and pebbles shifting under my foot. "Hey there big guy, hows about some fresh fish i just caught". I had startled the dragon slightly into a more alert state. Creeping forward, he hissed and swatted the fish out of my grasp, soon after wandering over and practically inhaling the silver snack.
I tried to reach over and touch him, however he quickly spun and bolted...all in the blink of my eye.
I repeated this process over quite a few weeks, surprised as to why i never saw Tiger with a pack....and why he continued to return here. After nearly three weeks, Tiger began to warm up to me little by little...and soon his swatting-of-my-fish-offering turned into him carefully removing it from my palm, then letting me gently rub his head. "D'you think you can handle being my dragon companion now" i asked in a whisper. He looked up and stared at me for a minute before circling me and putting his head under my free hand. "I take this as a yes!" i grinned over at him.
((Yeah, i...don't even know. Sorry if it's too long ( ;o_o)
I think i would do the same to be honest...i mean, he looks like a tiger >_> what else would you name him aside from Tiger, Stripes, or anything like dat.
Tiger'll be going into my signature right about now of course :P
Oh, and as a future reference.....am i allowed to use him in any sort of RolePlay?
These are AWESOME!!!

Name: Lynx
Saddle: No thanks.
How I trained it: (Please write a SHORT story of only a FEW lines on how you were able to train this dragon):
I would like to say that I found Lynx, but he found me. I was alone and injured. I had taken a tumble off Firmus a young Night Fury I was training and had (thank fully) landed in a tree with out hurting myself to badly. I was rather annoyed, yet dragged myself and my sprained ankle on my way back to Berk. It was then that Lynx found me. His gait was unsteady and his eyes flicked over me in erratic, unfocusing glares. He was hungry. I was defenceless and wounded, my only hope was to try and train. Long story short, Lynx grabbed and injured my other leg and attempted to drag me off into the mountains. I only refrained him from eating me by waving dragon nip under his nose, distracting him so much that he walked face first into a rock. After that I sorta took pity on him and seeing as both my legs were now temporarily out for the count I decided to bed down with my new 'friend.' We share an uneasy, sarcastic yet respectful bond and we both hold each other in high regard. I named him Lynx after his colouring and because we met in the mountains.
I hope this is okay!
Xx
I'm gonna bump this just cuz XD

Name: Starspeaker
Saddle: Yes
How I trained Him:
I stood on the edge od the river bank skipping rocks when I heard a roar. New dragon!? Maybe...Yes?....No.... I looked to my side and saw a path of claw marks. I followed them until I saw a small den. I decided to enter. As I crawled down the narrow cave it began to get darker. But I kept going. I finally stopped and felt around. Then I felt scales. A drogon opened his eyes and growled. I quickly grabbed a salmon out of my bag and gave it to him. He quickly gulped it down and nudged me. I stroked her head and decided to name him Starspeaker.

How I trained it: (Please write a SHORT story of only a FEW lines on how you were able to train this dragon)
Haskell and Gordic were in the woods. Haskell lifted his sketch book to notice a odd looking dragon. "Interesting." he said and began to sketch it as it ate. The dragon faced Haskell and growled deeply, he sprung at him. Gordic hissed and bursted some gas at him, calming the dragon down. It growled but noticed the sketch and had backed up a bit. It was amazing, it had all the details right and everything. "Scallitch?" Haskell thought dropping his pencil. He tilted his head, and nodded.
I'M SO IN LOVE WITH THESE I WANNA ADOPT ANOTHER ONE!
I really want that last one ;).
Can I try for him?

Name: Snow Tiger
Saddle: Yes
How I trained it:
I seen snow tiger trapped in deep snow and making a cry for help, he seemed to be frusterated, trying to get out so I started digging and finally I got him free and he shook off the snow and looked at me, I smiled and petted his head and he seemed to purr, I reached into my back pack and pulled out a blanket and tossed it on his back to keep him warm, as we tracked through the deep snow to a clear spot under a tree and I petted him on the head again to keep him calm, we continued to walk through the snow again to my camp site and we were both safe and I lit the fire pit and we were safe and warm at last, he slept by the fire as I slept inside my hut, we grew to be good friends and he protected me from danger.
Are you willing to do a custom one? If not I'll just choose one. :)
Could I have #11 reserved? I think that's the number of the pale purple one.
I been sitting here fishing for hours, trying to catch a few fish for a decent meal, I finally caught a trout and quickly reeled it in and put it along side of me off the hook and threw my line in for another, a roar echoed through the trees, oh no, another wild dragon, i said, as I quickly reeled my line in and put the pole down and stood up from the log i was sitting on, the male dragon eyed my fish and roared and I also wanted the fish for my supper later, I had a half eaten sandwitch in my bag so i took it out and held it out to the dragon but he batted it out of my hand and roared at me again, he wanted my fish so I sighed and threw it to him because i knew i could catch another, he ate it and looked at me for more, he growled and so i decided to catch a few more for him, i gave them to him and he ate them as well, he looked up at me again and shot a pebble at me but i jumped out of the way and the pebble hit the lake, the dragon smirked and i got up and brushed off, the dragon was messing with me and he did this a few times more until he decided it was enough, i kept getting up and brushing off and getting anoyed so i went back over to my stuff and picked it up and walked off, the dragon followed me and huffed and i stopped and the dragon came up behind me and sat there and nudged his head under my hand and it was his way of saying thank you for the fish, I petted him and told him i had to go, i continued to walk and he murmered to me to stay, but i didnt, i went home and after a while went back to fish, the dragon was back again and i caught more fish and fed him and he seemed fond of me now, he sat there and watched me fish and tilted his head at the water, i caught a few more and kept them from him because i wanted some for my supper, i batted his nose away from the fish and he backed up and shook his head, wrinkled his nose and mumbled to himself, i laughed a bit and continued to fish, he sat there and watched me still and i caught more and finally got up and left for home and told the dragon to stay, that i would be back tomorrow, he was my new best friend and a fishing buddy.
Thanks for letting me have him, if there's any left may I adopt another?

How I trained it:
I trodded warily down the long, worn path leading up to the mountains. My Gronckle, Stonehunt, trudged boredly behind me, sniffing the air uneasily every few seconds. I didn't bother to ask why, as Stonehunt was always like this whenever I took him somewhere. Stonehunt raised his head sharply, stepping backwards in a surprise. Turning, I could see a tiny pebble dropping to the ground. It seemed to have hit his right foreleg, though it didn't do anything to harm him.
I looked up, confused, quickly spotted a striped dragon, resembling a Night Fury in body shape. It prowled furiously among a fallen pile of boulders, far from Stonehunt and I. I could only assume it had been the culprit behind the little pebble as it was the only living thing besids myself and Stonehunt. Growling, the grey and orange Gronckle stomped forwards, firing a large burst of lava-like fire towards the striped dragon. The dragon dodged effortlessly, moving out of the way faster than any dragon I'd seen before.
Stonehunt snorted irritbably, moving to fire at the striped dragon again. Once again, it dodged effortlessly, springing away from the boulders as the Gronckle's fire struck it.
-WIP, still working on. Excuse the typos, I'm writing this on a lagging laptop-
If 20 doesn't get taken would it be okay if attempted at a form for that guy?
Oh gawd i'm probably going to use all three knowing myself XD
Sorry but I couldn't help saying it when I seen this.....IT'S PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME, PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME!!! :D
Nice job at these! Very cool and I like how you did the diagram of how the dragon shoots pebbles. Going for 13 :)

How I trained it:
Fang and Shade(Skrill/Changewing hybrid) where adventuring far away from berk and they came across an island of Dragon Catchers. They spotted Night Fury-like dragon being tortured. They catchers had whips and hot metal rods. They were poking and slapping the poor beast. Fang and Shade decided to intervene. They blasted the catchers with a Lightning-Acid combo. The men and women tried to defend themselves but failed miserbly. The rescuers had released a few other dragons being held against their will and they too fought back.
The Night Fury-like dragon was too weak to fight. Fang and Shade protected her as best as they could. Eventually all the remaining people fled the Island. Fangtom and Shade stayed with the new species and they helped seal the cuts and burns.
As a few weeks went on, all three began to grow on each other. Fang named the now discovered female, Scar. When Scar was fully healed she followed Fangtom and Shade back to berk. She became a reletivly well-known dragon amonsgt the Berkians. Fishlegs declared the new dragon to be a cousin to the Night Fury.
I would add more and better detail but this is just off the top of my head and you only said a few lines so yeah...better stop now XD How'd I do?
Ah ok no prob :)
I saw further up that you're ok with us using these guys in RP? Could I also use it in my story? I will give you credit and change the backstory completly so that my character already knows this type of species and that Hiccup discovered it. The story is a work in progress, since I hardly have time to do it, and your dragon probably won't show up for a while....so yeah, just wondering?
These are awesome! I shall return to adopt when I have time!
If I can adopt another can I please go for #5 He looks awesome.....

How I trained it:
I was walking in the valley and a bit frusterated because my friend wouldn't come with me for a walk, I kicked up some dirt with my boot as I walked and huffed to myself, this dragon, with curious eyes and an agressive look on his face, was watching me through the bush and wondering why I was mad, he krept behind me as I walked and I was to frusterated to notice anything, the dragon shot a pebble at the back of my shoulder and it felt like I got shot, as I yelled out and turned arround, holding my arm and the dragon took off.
The pebble pierced my skin and now I had a hole in my shoulder, it started to bleed so I winced and used my fingers to take out the pebble and chucked it on the ground, I ripped a piece of my sleeve off and wrapped it arround my arm and tied it, won end with my mouth and the other in my hand, I pulled it tight and yelled again in pain, my yelling aggervated the dragon and he came back and ran towards me and stopped and growled at me again and I stood there, confused and frozen, the dragon showed his teeth and pawed the ground, his sharp claws dug into the dirt, as he moved his foot up and back, again and again in a circular motion, like he was gonna charge at me, my eyes widened and I looked at him, he growled and started charging at me like a bull, I started running the other way and he was batting his claws at my heels as I was running, he swung his front foot and his claws hit my leg and I went sideways and lost my ballance and fell to the ground, the dragon was ontop of me, clawing my face with his sharp clawed foot and I put my arm up to block his hits and he clawed my arm as well, he roared and had me pinned to the ground and I looked over to the side and seen a stick and reached my hand over to it and quickly grabbed it and whacked the dragon in the head, the dragon backed off me and shook his head and I got to my feet, holding the stick out and now mad at the dragon for attacking me for no reason, he roared and was stunned because he didn't know what hit him, as he fled and ran back in the bush, I huffed and dropped the stick and walked on.....
Never before was I ever attacked by a dragon....I was lucky to be alive and yes I did go back to that place and faught the dragon again and showed him who's boss, he gave in after a while and I ended up being his trainer and he was all black so I decided to name him Midnight.....

How I trained it:
I was sitting on a cliff with Delta. It had started to rain, and she hated being wet while flying. All was calm for a while, but then, suddenly, a dragon darted overhead, travelling like a comet. Delta growled.
A dragon barked from the top of the cliff. I recognized the sound.
It was an army of Pebble-shooters.
I flattened myself against the cliff side, and stayed as quiet as possible to avoid triggering an attack. The form of a dragon rose above the cliff. I froze.
I decided to attempt to sneak away. Bad move. The dragon roared, triggering the attack. I grabbed Delta and we flew off, but not fast enough. Delta was caught in the rain of pebbles, and shrieked as the stones tore through her left wing. She dove down to a rocky area, and we hid.
I heard a few wingbeats, followed by a thud. One of the dragons was here. I could here it grumbling as it sniffed around the area, searching for us. It prowled around until it found us in our hiding spot. Delta and I were both frozen with fear. The dragon snarled at us, showing it's rows of gleaming teeth. I started talking, slowly and carefully, trying to calm it down. It responded with a loud hiss. It obviously wasn't interested in anything I had to say. Delta mumbled under her breath. I held my hand up. The Pebble shooter would most likely see a growl as a challenge, and I knew Delta would lose. The dragon walked over to Delta, examining her punctured wing. It sniffed it cautiously, and squinted. It turned it's head, fixing it's gaze on me. I didn't move, for fear of making it attack. It walked over to me, sniffing and grumbling. It snarled at me, then glanced at my satchel. It nudged the leather bag, then reached inside with a paw and pulled out a fish. It gobbled it up quickly, and looked back at me. "Yeah, that was my fish." I said. "You can have the rest if you want." It growled, and pulled out the other fish, eating it quickly. I felt a little more confident, so I reached down to the bag to pull out another fish. The dragon hissed and slapped my arm with it's tail. "Okay, okay. Sorry." It growled, and ate the last fish. It snuffled around inside the bag to check for more, but there wasn't any. It sniffed my hand, and snorted, shaking it's head. I guess I didn't smell so nice. The dragon continued to sniff around for more food. I was surprised it hadn't left yet. "Delta, give it a fish." I said, motioning my hand. She nodded, and regurgitated her breakfast. The Pebble-shooter stared at the pile of saliva-covered bits of fish, then at Delta, then at me. It sniffed the fish cautiously, and then gratefully ate it. It snuffled around me, seeming calm. "See. We won't hurt you, or your army." It rubbed it's nose against my arm. I reached up to pet it. At first, it growled, but it gradually accepted and allowed me to touch it. "That's it..." After I touched it, it snorted and darted off, flying up to the cliff, and vanishing.
After a few days of returning to the rocky area, and feeding the wild Pebble-shooter, it became a little more tame. Some days it was more aggressive, but I was persistent.
Eventually, after a couple weeks of visiting the dragon, it finally accepted me and Delta. It had allowed me to climb on it's back, and now, I could ride it. It was still stubborn at times, like all Pebble-shooters, and it didn't like most of my dragons, but it got along well with Delta and I.
Is this good? I hope I didn't make it too long.
