Introducing the Goldhem - Customizable bases
Hello! So uh...it's been four years...Not four years since i last post obviously you guys do see my quite often, but four years since I last making one of these. Heh, imagine not doing it for four years, resurface like a year ago with the poll saying that "hey I might get back to this what dragon do you want" dissapear, then come back a year later with....the dragon that didn't won the poll. Just like SOD :D
To those of you who's not familiar to this, I made fan dragons! and occassionally I will make this sort of adoptable customizable bases for them. You can check out the thread here as well as more info on this specific species as what I put here will be this sort of abridged shorten but semi update version. I feel like since I haven't done this in so long a few thing will need to change. I certainly want it to feel a little more casual for me (perhaps I will get it out quicker hopefully) as thus a few rule will changes. But now let me present to you the Goldhem dragon!

"Feeding these dragons pure gold or any expensive mineral and the dragons would then produce the lesser quility version of said mineral but in mass, covering their body as well as spewing out from their mouth. That is the small price that the vikings are willing to pay for the promises wealth. And thus, a race to obtain these dragons has began. What's more interesting than these dragons' ability however are their personality; specifically their near human intelligent manipulative and exploitative manner for their own gain and amusement unbeneath the friendly demeanor."
Fun fact: Goldhem is the general names for these dragons. If they consume and produce other type of mineral however they can be called different names such as Jadehem, Rubyhem and so on.

How to obtain/rules
1. Pick the base you want (baby,adulta, adultb,titan)
2. Pick the color for following;
Mineral armor (Currently gold)
Skin (currently skin color)
Horn (currently brown)
(You can also requst the default colors)
3. The name, gender, and stories/personality are now optional. However, it will make me happy if you have them ^^! if you use the character in your stories or rp I would also like a link to read those as well.
4. You can use/put them on anything, just please credit me; Chameishida
5. Only 1 dragon per person and there will be limited number depending on species, it's on first come first serve basis so if you're not fast enough you might not get the dragons but you can make reservation before filling the form. Because of this please do not fight for spot and respect each other :)
While only allow 1 dragon per person, if you request for the baby or adult base you can upgrade or age it up later by come back to commenting on the thread, and I will give you the older version of the dragon but I will also delete the previous version image link.

I'm not going to request this time even though I'd love to, because I know I'd want to delve deeper into Midas' background and a full-on story with... ooof stopp... is coming to me *slaps*
I have to be responsible and finish the things I've already got going. So not this time but here to support, and when I'm through with said other things I'll check back and see if there's any open slots left ^^
This dragon has always been one of the best to trigger story ideas for me. It's got so much potential and I love it! Also, did you add more legs? I thought the Goldenheim only had four before

I like the glow up. The original has a cute expression but the second feels more true to HTTYD style, and the dragon's personality. I also like that as a digging dragon it has three sets of hindlegs and then the larger fore. Makes it feel like it belongs in the Thunderpeded family somewhere
Such a cool dragon. Absolutely love 'em- I don't know how you do it but your dragons always fascinate me.
Is it possible to request a random Titan? I would love to see whatever colors you come up with- maybe your favorite colors?
I would love to name him/ her based on the colors you choose!

I really like all these adoptables that people make but honestly I never RP, they look pretty for me and that's all so I am giving the spots to other people who love creating characters, RPing, do fan arts and generally are creative and use the character I would feel guilty taking any adoptables.
Your art is always soo cool! I'd love to adopt one of these.

Personality: defiant and a little mischievous. Likes shiny things, but also likes to share with friends. A real sweatheart once you get to know her.

I'm glad you're doing adoptables again. i've looked through your old fan-dragon species and they all look amazing. I'm sad that I missed out on them :( That being said, I can't wait to see more.

Ooooo tracking! I wanna request one but I need to think on this. They have preferences and stick to it, so how can a greedy Viking get them to like gold if they initially have a preference to something else like, uhm, iron or something? Or is it not possible? What about mineral groups (like silicates?). If the dragon had a preference for feldspar, would they also find quartz acceptable? What about non-mineral or metal substances like glass, amber, obsidian, opals, and coal/jet?
(I may be over thinking this ...)

I think it works case by case. There're goldhem that would eat anything and goldhem that has prefence. If Vikings ended up cature the one with preference differ from what they want produce they would either has to force/train it or just accept disappointment that thing wont work out. Some Train/force Goldhem to change diet work, some not, some well the Goldhem not particularly like it but they're in it for something else.
The wild goldhem who has more lose preference can be found cover in various type of mineral (called Crystalhem?), although that's the limitation of this customizable base. It's something that exist in the lore but might be hard to pull off in adoptable. It also act as a bit of nerf as greedy Viking who would first thought mixing various gems would be a good idea would find out that since the gems they produce has worse quality, it would be a good idea to consentrate on one specific type of gems, than feeding it a bit of everything and had it produce out unuseable materials. Plus more type of gems to feed are just more expensive.

Okay I think I've thought of something ...

Mineral armor: Corundum - the mineral that includes rubies and sapphires and many other pretty colors, depending on inclusions. So for actual color ... maybe a rosey red/pink?
Skin: Some sort of medium gray shade, something that just says generic "stone"
Horn: Ummm, how about brown but a lighter/medium shade? Also something that is reminiscent of "stone"
3. The name, gender, and stories/personality:
So I haven't gotten one. As you know SOMEDAY I will get around to a story ... I'm having thoughts of a small boy, some not-Hooligan. Since this would be a "corundum"-hem, pure corundum with no impurities would be clear to white. So maybe not as desirable as pretty-colored stones. I get the impression that real Vikings liked colorful stones. So maybe the boy either innocently or shrewdly offers a clear corundum whereas the other villagers offer rubies or something, and look down upon the boy's offering. But, since the -hems produce inferior minerals, impure corundum could be considered rubies, sapphires etc. (I think ruby is red because of impurities of chromium? Sapphires from iron and titanium? I think
