I have a hypothetical story for you.
Let's say there's a young child who's also an idiot (a terrible combination, I know, but this is a hypothetical story anyway!). This child decides that since he plays School of Dragons, he should create a forums account. For some completely illogical reason, that same hypothetical child decides to name himself "ScreamingFireDeath." (Crazy, am I right?!) Anyway, so this is the kid's username. Skip forward several years, and now this kid is not a kid anymore and realizes that no one knows him by the name "ScreamingFireDeath." So, this not-a-kid-anymore then decides to email customer support so that they can change his forums username (since there's no option on the forums). However, customer support emails back this:
Which was very nice of them, but not very encouraging considering that this is not a hypothetical story, and that this is my story. So, fair warning everyone. Once, you create your forums username, you can't change it... (i honestly don't know why they can't change it. Feels like they should be able to, but regardless, this is the current situation). I suppose you could create a brand new account with your new username, but I literally just got supreme viking status, so I don't think I will.

I was able to change my user name several years ago and I know a few people who have had theirs changed as well very recently. Weird that they change certain people's users but not others. Maybe try DMing an forum admin directly as opposed to submitting a support ticket. Least that's how I did it. Hope this works out for you.

Sorry for the trouble! There's a chance the CS rep that answered you assumed you were talking about your SoD name and not your forum username. Send me a PM with the name you want for your forum username, I'll see if I can change it.

There is a very large chance that I could have miscommunicated what I wanted, but this is good to know (although I likely won't need to do this again, bahaha)
