I would like to bring some things to the attention of writers and reader.

1. Can Myself and other writers please stop getting hate because of our writing styles and how we base it.

2. I have noticed that not alot of writers write about Astrid and the others as main characters, it's more Hiccup and Toothless. (i can see why tho) ( not being a hypocrite )

3. Should I stop my back story? I mean all the hate and not much love.... plus it isn't making lots of sence soooooo.

4. If i was to re-write my back story in a differnt way would people read it?

Thank you for reading, please reply if you aree or have anything else to say.

Don't stop writing your

Don't stop writing your backstory, don't care what anyone else thinks. There's nothing wrong with having SPaG mistakes(Spelling, punctuation and grammar).

I wish I hadn't given up on my backstory now, because now to anyone who reads my current fanfictions just get really confused.

If you think it doesn't make sense, just stop, look at your story and make a mind map of characters, villains, dragons, places etc. You can also get story planning apps which can help with these problems.

It's your story, you write it any way you want to. Don't care what anyone else thinks of it, it's your Viking, do what you like.

I will read it if you rewrite it.

Thanks,

Inthetardis2.

M'um m'aloo!

Pretty much what InTheTardis said! You're the writer, you can write what you feel like. I spent over 6 years writing things that I knew nobody would ever read but me, and yet it was alright, because I wrote for my own enjoyment and not the enjoyment of others. It's your story, you're the one holding the pen- so to speak. Don't let the hate or influence of others change your writing! It's yours, not theirs.

If you are looking to improve, however, I highly recommend studying the art of writing (yes, it's an art). Read other books you may enjoy and note the author's grammar, spelling, sentence construction, et cetera. One of the primary factors of me being the writer I am today was because I was an avid reader even at an extremely young age, and had an adult's reading level when I was 10. Reading literature you may enjoy isn't just fun, it also helps your writing a lot! It's a great way to improve skills.

Organizing information can also be a very good idea. I have what I call "plot dumps" and "character dumps"- a place to literally DUMP all my character and plot ideas in one gigantic, messy place. Unorganized though it often is, at least I have information at hand and can keep my plot, characters, and ideas semi-orderly. An online document or even a handwritten journal is a great place to put these "dumps"!

But above all, the most important thing in writing is to have fun with it. Writers are given literal freedom; we aren't restricted to the laws of physics or the demands of what others might think or want. We are the masters of our character's fates and worlds, so why WOULDN'T we have fun while doing what we love? We can go beyond all boundaries of the universe if we like, and who will stop us?

If you want to write, don't let anything stop you!
