Kyhbia, Wick and Birch

The sun was setting over Berk as Kyhbia saw the castle for the very first time. It was breathtaking, on a small island not far from the actual city, built from large grey blocks of stone. The towers were impaling the red sky, and large flags with the empire’s emblem, a night fury, were blowing in the wind.

The escort was still, well, escorting them and Kyhbia looked at his younger brother. Tybearias was carrying the box with their peace contract and gifts. He tried to walk gentle, and with dignity, after all they were representing all of the Seyhkya tribes.

As they crossed the bridge that connected the castle with the main city, the guards who were walking next to them shouted something at the guards on the giant walls of the castle, and a big steel door opened, revealing a path.

The castle wasn’t built on the island, the castle was the island. It was impossible to tell the two apart, and as the isle formed a mountain in the middle and got bigger and bigger, so did the fortress of king Necat.

They walked upwards the hill, before entering a small corridor on the left side of the wall. The guards advised them to leave back their dragons, and showed the two young men a few stalls hidden behind a staircase. Kyhbia looked deep in the amber eyes of his desert wraith, Lirra. The dragon softly raised her snout in return, until soft scales touched his chin.

Tybearias gave his riding dragon, Jomay, a friendly pat on the head, before picking up his box and heading towards the king’s domain.

They followed the guards for a few minutes, before they reached the king’s hall.

The large steel doors were opened for them, and the two Seyhkya princes could enter. Kyhbia looked around, amazed by the giant room full of luxury. Long tables and high chairs made out of pure gold were arranged around a pedestal, and deep crimson carpets were leading up to it. Red curtains were hanging from the ceiling, covering the walls and almost splitting the room before the pedestal, almost like a stage.

All those things were completely new to Kyhbia. When the spirits chose him and Tybearias, and the two of them became heirs of the tribe leader, they were introduced to the City of Peace or Whiteroads as some people called it.

For years, he had thought that it was impossible for something to be this great, this luxurious, this… awe inspiring, but apparently he was wrong.

Three thrones were standing on the pedestal, covered in shadows from the heavy red curtains. Like sleeping lions, two night furies were resting behind them, their tails slowly waving up and down, a little bit like the black snakes that could end a human in just one bite.

On the throne to the left was, covered in expensive assecoires and costly clothing, sitting on the pelt of beasts he had never believed existed, the crown prince of this empire.

Well, sitting was a broad term. The boy, he was definitely younger than Kyhbia, maybe around Tybaerias’ age, had crossed his legs over the armrest and was half sitting, half lying on the throne. His one arm was hanging over the other armrest and his hand was softly caressing the ear-like appendages of the smaller night fury. Kyhbia could feel calculating green eyes burning a hole in his forehead. On the throne in the middle that was unsurprisingly the biggest one, he could see the silhouette of a man, completely covered in shadows. This had to be king Necat. It seemed like he was drinking something from a golden cup, but it was difficult to tell because of the wide coat he wore that completely changed his silhouette. The throne on the right was empty, but a nervous little man, maybe a consultant, was standing there and flipping through the pages of a book.

The small guy looked like he found what he was searching for. In a very, very bad Seyhkya, he greeted the two.

“I am glad you two had a successful journey, now we can finally start the Negotiations.”

Tybearias nodded friendly, and opened the box. His brother got the hint, and took out the peace contract, as the other boy got the flagon with sun’s tears.

Sun’s tears was something sacred, a drink that took years to make and was the equivalent of liquid gold. It was sweeter than honey, lighter than a morning breeze and could refresh a humans soul and body in ways no other substance could.

Tybearias bowed his head, and offered it to the king by holding it in front of his chest. King Necat waved his hand at them, telling the boys to come closer.

Kyhbia could still feel the burning green glare resting on his face, but he tried to ignore it. The small consultant shuffled over and got two stools for the boys, before closing the curtains, splitting the room in two and leaving the room.

Before he could close the big door, king Necat raised his voice for the first time.

“Yes my lord?”
“Inform the generals, we will have a meeting soon.”

“Most of the generals are at the borders, my lord.”

“Who is closest?”

“Well… general Saha should be pretty close, and consultant Geraldsen was on the way here anyway, my lord.”

“Good, get the guards together and prepare the meeting. This won’t take long.”

“Of course, my lord, as swift as a night fury, my lord.”

Bowing down multiple times, Marchdale left the room.

The eyes of the king focused back on the boy, who hadn’t understood a single word. Tybearias was the translator, and he looked… confused?

What did the king say?

“So. Back to the negotiations.”, the king cooed in perfect Seyhkya.

Wick had been flying all day to reach this place. And now it was empty. This was nothing spectacular for the Outer Force to do, sometimes a squad just loses some members and those holes have to be filled, preferably with young blood.

He jumped off the back of his silver phantom and began inspecting the outpost. Every squad in the outer force has its own outpost, a place to live for the fighters.
But nobody seemed to be at home.

As he finally found the door, he noticed that he was not alone.

A stranger with a dark blue dragon, most likely a hybrid, was standing in front of the door. He had his arms crossed in front of his chest and didn’t see Wick in time.

Suddenly, the man turned his head.

“Two replacements? Either this is a mistake, or general Saha’s squad was completely ripped apart in that battle.”

As he saw Wick’s questioning look, he replied:

“Name’s Strongborn. Cuyler Strongborn.”

“Wick Woods.”

Wick was a little bit nervous around new people.

((Looks like we only have two Outer Force characters. I'll just fill the holes))

Birch was sitting on the deck, playing cards with a few sailors he just met, and he had already lost two bottles of wine. The large boat he travelled on was slowly sailing towards the capitol city. The “Lucky Arrow” had had a long journey. It sailed over the sea, reaching Steel Needle where it got metal and delivered it to the smiths in the south, where Birch snuck on board.

Well… Snuck was not the best term for it. He punched a guy KO and took his place. Better. Now the “Lucky Arrow” had lots of fresh new weapons and armor on board, sailing towards the biggest training camp of the armed forces, not far from the capitol city, his destination where he hoped to earn some money.

The old sailor that won his wine narrowed his one eye, and looked at the passing islands.

“What is it?”, Birch asked.

“Loki’s Lagoon… is closer than it should be. That dirty hole is filled with rats and pirates. Clearly, the guy that owns this ship is a complete rookie.”

“But we have an escort.”
Birch pointed at the two rumblehorn riders who flew a little bit above the ship, keeping it safe.

“Hah! Only rookies on this ship! Did you ever witness a pirate attack, little fellow?”

“Don’t call me-”

“I lost my eye this way. They were hundreds, maybe thousands. I fought two monstrous nightmares, one with my left hand and one with my right hand. But this scauldron snuck up on me and got my eye...”

Birch just ignored the sailor, who clearly had taken a few sips from his wine.

Nyghtingale is my in-game character. She takes on my own personality because... she is literally me. During quests, Nyghtingale loves to muck around and try to break the system by utilizing glitches- just for laughs, but she always produces reliable results. She is a fair Viking and she never uses glitches for her own personal gain. Some of my profile info will be listed below:.............

She prefers to be called Lynx . She hates her real name. Lynx is bold and loud. She is like Luna Lovegood in the sense that she is rather... odd. Loud, shameless and spontaneous (not to mention immature). Lynx enjoys being flashy, showing off her skills. Once she sets her mind to something, she is naturally good at it. The problem is that she loses focus easy and doesn't like setting herself to standards. She craves adventure and can grow bored easily. Lynx love to talk... a lot. Often times, you cannot get her to shut up about this and that. Combined with her ADHD, it is extremely difficult to keep track of her conversations. She is particularly fast on her feet but has low stamina levels. She is strong and tall for her age. Lynx is stubborn and laid-back most of the time. She does not like to follow orders. Some of her skills include: being double jointed, the ability to be able to climb almost any surface, very good at mimicking animal sounds and is EXTREMELY good at sneaking around. However, there is a side to Lynx that she does not show very often. She is very lazy and selfish at times.

..Art was done by Chameishida

Lyra is more a kick-butt-now, ask-questions-later type of gal. She is brash and ruthless, quick to resort to physical violence to solve issues... and she is good at it. Really good. She is not a woman of many words, preferring to speak through her actions than words. Of course, if you get her mad, be prepared for the worst verbal... and physical lashing of your life. Lyra is hot-headed and slightly cocky about her fighting prowess, although it is justifiable. Lyra likes to keep to herself, preferring to quietly read a book or beat up some practice dummies than actual human interaction. As a result, she can come off as edgy and mysterious... and she likes it that way. She is a serious cynic and comes across as standoffish and brooding. Not that she really cares. Darker topics interest her and are sometimes the only way to get her make an actual conversation, beyond 1-worded sentences. Again, she likes to communicate through actions, not words. She has less academic smarts across find more street smarts. She is an amazing rider with a need for speed and showing up the competition.

 Art was done by DuskDayBreak

One of Claudia s most defining traits is her cold and sarcastic attitude towards everything that breathes. Her sarcasm is different, though. It is much more subtle and soft-spoken. Typically, she poses her insults as a compliment, that after careful consideration, turn out to be insults. She delivers them coolly, directly and apathetically with a calm and collected demeanor, giving no indication in her voice or face that she is, in fact, being sarcastic. She is brutal when giving someone a verbal lashing, not because she raises her voice or her fists, simply because her insults are sophisticated, shrewd and complex. She is the type of girl who does not have to do much to stand apart from the crowd. However, Claudia is no way an extrovert, the reason why she puts herself in social situations is purely one of two reasons, the first one being is that she wants to go people watching. Where she sits in some corner and watches people, how they react and their social cues. She just observes them, untangles their motives and finds their interests. The second reason is that she wants to show up the competition, along with being stubborn, Claudia is a show-off. Just, not in the physical sense. Claudia, at her core, is an intellectual, preferring to beat her foes either brain as opposed to brawn. Of course, she is willing to get in a tussle, if absolutely necessary. She finds it beneath her. Claudia is highly observant. She pays extreme attention to detail, nothing escapes her keen eye and flawless memory. Due to her observant nature, she can glean a crazy amount of information about a person simply by looking at them. She is pretty much a walking encyclopedia, filled with tins of random and oddly relevant facts for any given situation. However, with her great intelligence, comes great social anxiety. Claudia buried this under layers of brashness but, this insecurity can be sorted out by the way she avoids social and emotional get-togethers entirely. It is not often that another emotion aside from apathy spreads across her facial features. She hates any kind of affectionate contact with another human being, be it a hug or a simple handshake. Due to her inability to express her emotions, Claudia finds herself at a lack of friends. She usually plays this off as her not wanting any friends but sometimes, when a dragon is your only friend, you can get lonely. The result, she makes a lot of enemies. Usually because of her showoff-ness and unforgiving attitude, and sarcasm.

Aeryn Night

 Art was done by Tosilohi

No one knows who Aeryn is. Not truly. They only know the persona she puts forth for them. This is why Aeryn is such a difficult character to write for and describe. She has multiple different personalities and will switch through them at the flip of a light. In a sense, it is quite similar to the multifaceted personality disorder, only, Aeryn recognizes her many personas. She chooses not to show anyone her true colors due to some insecurities. She switches personalities to shield herself from emotional damage as well as hiding away any insecurities. She starts off as a blank canvas every time she meets someone new. She observes them, analyzes them. She untangles their motives, figures out their personality, what they like, what they don’t like, then she tailors herself to become the person they would like (or hate, depending on how she wants to be perceived) the most. Her distressed youth explains why she feels she needs to conform, as well as shine, in every situation. With Aeryn, you never know if her reactions are genuine or just part of her charade. Her real personality is unpleasant to say the best. She is highly judgemental. She looks down on those around her. She is very apathetic towards others and everything she does has some ulterior motive. She is a queen at manipulation. Nearly everyone word that she utters is sugar coated in some way. She has the world wrapped around her fingers. Aeryn is very skilled when it comes to reading both people and animals. This is because, in her youth, she would sit in some corner and watch. Observe how people react, body language and their social cues. She views it as going to a zoo to watch funny animals. Yes, that is how lowly she thinks of everyone else. Not that you could tell.

Gail Cirek

 Art was done by Katarile

Gail is adorable. She is short, cute and very softspoken. A lot of people think she is innocent, will try to protect her. Gail does not like attracting much attention as people have a tendency to stare. She is very insecure about her face (since it is severely deformed on the left side) and does her best to conceal it. She gets very annoyed if someone asks about it. However, with this silence comes the ability to listen. She observes the world around her and is able to spot even the tiniest of details. This silent brilliance has made her a stellar judge of character. She reads body language very well and has a certain flare of stubbornness about her. Still, she is very dark. Generally, when she speaks, most people cannot hear what she says, which is probably a good thing because what she does say is usually pretty dark or gory. She often says random and slightly disturbing things and speaks extremely softly anyone can barely hear her. Gail seems to be pretty timid but is generally ruthless. She is a bit of a pyromaniac.

General Krishal Saha

Krishal rode the winds on a dragon that was white, streaked with silver and shades of sky blue that allowed her to blend in with the daylight sky behind her. She had her spear of gronkle iron strapped to her back as always and her armor was made of the same material. The beast she was riding was a gorgeous female Light Fury that she earned for her valor in the line of duty, saving her own general's life when they were ambushed by Sky Pirates.

"We're almost home Starwave." She told the dragon, leaning down to rub behind her partner's ear with a fond smile on her face. Starwave rumbled her response, seeing the island long before her human did. Berk wasn't far from her home. She'd stop in her village and check in on her parents. Even though she was busier now as a General, she still made time for family. She wanted to see how the new line of Skrowl was faring for the military anyhow. Her own former mount, a Skrowl named Violet for her purple markings, was one of the progenitors of the new line and a fine specimen at that. Her purple coloration would be a standard color for the breed, though they would allow for different variations based on the parents of the offspring. They wouldn't be considered pure, because the best way was to breed a Skrill with a Wooly Howl, then the next generation would be Skrowl bred. That was the healthiest way to get the breed. She saw the island after a few hours of flying and Starwave roared happily, earning a roar of greeting from pretty much every dragon in the skies around Berk and in her village as she landed at the family breeding farm, finding her mother waiting for her.

"Welcome home sweetheart." The copper skin woman greeted, hugging her daughter as soon as she dismounted the Light Fury, who sat back on her haunches and rumbled at the nearby purple Skrowl.

"Hey Mom, hey Violet." Krishal greeted, hugging her mother in greeting. The Seyhkya woman's heritage showed in her daughter's copper skin, but she got her red hair and blue eyes from her father. "The new stock doing well?" She asked, earning a puff of static filled air from her old mount. Their fire was a combination of static electricity from the skrill and the flame from the Wooly Howl, producing a static charged heat blast that burned and shocked it's victims at the same time, a deadly weapon if used properly.

"Your father's out buying feed for the new hatchlings. They just hatched yesterday. Your old partner is now a proud retired mama dragon." Zavia told her daughter, smiling proudly at the purple Skrowl, who fluffed out her mane of spines and purred happily as several black and purple hatchlings, some with blue markings from their father, a purebred skrill judging from the deep deep blue scales, a big male they called Stormchaser. He was in the next paddock over, snoozing on a sun drenched rock while Violet took care of the hatchlings. A few of them managed to scramble out of the paddock in order to climb up Krishal's spine, making her laugh as they made a nest of her hair.

"OK you little trouble makers, back to your mama." She crooned, taking the hatchlings over to the fence and opened the gate, the trio still clinging to her and whining, trying to hide in her gronkle iron armor as the big Skrowl scolded them. "Might wanna get that fence fixed Mom, the Skrowl hatchlings got out no problem. We don't want them getting scooped up by a Deathgripper, now do we?" She told her mother, who rolled her eyes.

"I know sweetie, that's one of the things your father went into town for. We need more gronkle iron fencing to reinforce the paddocks. The adults know to stay put because we feed them. The hatchlings are still learning that." Zavia replied, an amused smile on her face as she watched her daughter with the hatchlings. Like all Seyhkya women, her daughter was a beautiful warrior, but a strong mother that the hathlings needed in thier lives.

Woop woop chicken soup soup!

Artymis and Serenity were doing the usual, flying at dawn and waiting for wealthy ships to pass by ao they can steal (and usually burn them for fun). But it’s been quite a while and both were starting to get bored.

”Alright Alright, Maybe we can find some a little farther away,” Artymis told the grumbling dragon, “Or we can find a good storm to go fly in,” Serenity Gabe a delightful roar that echoed through the skies.

They flew for a another hour until they spotted a ship, it was a trading ship- and usually they held valuable items.

”Hold on Serene..” they stopped and watched the ship sail and looked closely in case they had any defenses.

”It seems fine so let’s go in low and fast,” Serenity gave a delighted grumbled and folded in her large gray wings and dove down. It was exhilarating the speed and the wind whipping at her face. At the last minute before they crashed into the ocean Serenity opened her wings and glided towards the ship, luckily they didn’t see the duo which allowed for a even better surprise attack.

”SURPRISE!” Artymis yelled and Serenity roared and then blasted the mast and then the deck. All the crew quickly went to the emergency boats and fled taking the super valuable stuff with them in small chests or bags.

”Ah, I love a fresh raid in the morning!” Artymis sighed and then leapt off the great dragon and landed on the burnt boat.

”It seems like we have ten minutes before this thing goes under. And then if we’re lucky we can go after the more valuable stuff,” She started the search below deck finding food, water canteens, some bags of gold and occasionally silver, and a strand of silk, all the other stuff she shoved in her bag just in case.

”Hmm, pretty good stuff.. I guess, nothing much worth trading off,” Serenity pokes her large head through the hole she made and then gave a growl.

”Ok let’s see how far those guys went and then let’s go back to base,” Artymis leaped onto Serenity’s back and they flew off with their haul, they thought about going after the traders but they were tired and bored of this ship so they burnt it and made it sink faster and then flew home.

If humans have skin, and potatoes have skin, WE'RE POTATOES

((I'm sorry, Leafy, but I won't be able to RP in this one.))

1. I'll be ghosting the forums every now and then, but I will be on in-game.

2. I need any artist's talent to help me with concept/final art for some OC hybrid species of mine! PM me if you're interested!

[¥]~[¥]~[¥]~[¥]~Some Facts About Me~[¥]~[¥]~[¥]~[¥]

1. You can call me Bo or Critic. I also go by Jei.

2. I'm 100% girl and I would have it no other way, though sometimes being a girl sucks a lot.

3. I am a total boss at roasting people, so say my friends and victims. Beware my fiery words.

4. If I procrastinate in my replies, that means I am being productive someplace else. I have my priorities, and SoD, while high on the list, isn't top. So don't expect lightning-fast replies.

5. If you get on my wrong side, I will beat you senseless with bacon, bury you alive, and dance on your grave.  Or the polite equivalent of that.

6. Drama + Me = Your Doom. I make sense. Drama does not. I am logical. Drama is not. I would rather forgive and move forward. Drama would rather spite and drag things on for eternity. You getting my point so far? Aight. Good. If you manage to drag me into any of your drama, I will make it into a personal game/competition that may or may not develop into a personal vendetta, then I will feel justified in roasting you. You have been fairly warned.

7. I am the INTJ personality, if you're into the MBTI personality types.

8. I am an aspiring author and filmwriter. I currently have 187 characters, 25 and counting plotlines, and over 7 book series on my shelves. And 27+ beanie boos keeping those books company.

9. I love cats, books, and coffee, and together those three things form the worldly basis of my life.

10. I stand firm on the foundation of Scripture and Christ, and I believe that God will come again through His Ambassador to take His children to the new earth.

11. Feel free to PM me for anything!

Kyhbia cleared his throat and sat up straight. He knew the empire was stronger than the Seyhkya, but they had the power to block valuable trading routes, or form an alliance with the Freewings if the war progressed any longer.

"So, my tribe has worked out a peace contract- it's writtent two times, in Seyhkya and in King's Tongue. Tybearias?"

The younger male smiled, and poured some sun's tears into cups, which he handed the king and his son, before taking one for himself and Kyhbia.

"This won't be necessary."

The king didn't even look at his drink. He stared the boys down in a scheming manner.

"Excuse me?"

"Why would you attack my kingdom, and then bring a peace contract?"
"The Seyhkya never attacked anyone? Is there something I don't understand?"

Kyhbia looked at the king, and then back at the crown prince. The night furies opened their eyes and immediately narrowed them at the two Seyhkya.

King Necat clapped his hands, and two guards rushed out of a door behind the throne. They attacked the two, and held them in place with strong, cold hands.

Kyhbia couldn't even process what was going on. He saw Tybearias trying to break free, but without success.

The king waved his hand through the air, and the two guards kicked them in the hollow of their knees, making them kneel down before another land's king.

"Take them to the dungeon, I'll figure out how to get rid of them later."

Kyhbia didn't understand what he said, he said it in King's Tongue. But he could figure it out through the context.

One guard held a sweet smelling piece of fabric over his mouth and nose, and he could feel how he was slowly getting unconcious.

A last time, he looked over to Tybearias, who was lying on the floor already and had stopped moving, then the darkness pulled all his senses away.

Birch looked up at the red sky, and back to the old man. Maybe he could be a pirate? He had a dragon, not the best one, but it was something. he could fight, and he didn't care how he got his money.

After all, no one would ask a question when it was used to help his poor sick mother.

Wick shook his head a little bit.

"Didn't they tell you? All of them..."
"Gone? So the general needs a whole new squad?"

Wick nodded, and looked up to the sky, waiting for the general.

A woolly howl was tearing through the sky. His rider had an important message to all generals. As time went on, a small island appeared behind a wall of fog.

Grimm Geraldsen, ex-general of the Inner Force, had reached his destination a few hours ago. He was sitting on the balcony of his little city apartment, two large dragons lying next to him and enjyoing the view.

On his lap, there were files, on the table, there were files. Wrk, work, work. Everywhere just work. He sighed.

If this went on any longer, he would miss his two children growing up completely.

Maybe he could visit his daughter, Firnfall, after everything was done?

But he had to do a visit at Thor's helmet before the first snow was falling. Grimm frowned, and began turning pages while adding little notes. he knew his job was important, but there had to be some boundaries.

Iceflower, the bigger white dragon and his best friend since growing up, seemed to nitice his frustration and began making growling sounds. Maybe she tried to be encouraging.

After another three hours of overlooking battle plans, answering letters and sending suggestions to other generals, he was done.

Relieved, the large man went inside, his two dragons stayed on the balcony. Gloss, the light fury with the broken jaw, began making hungry noises, and followed him inside.

With a smile, Grimm began making more food.

Baby Shark do do do do

Artymis and Serenity were quiet, as were all their flights back to base, on the way they spotted a ship.

"Serenity, should we check out that ship?" Artymis asked her companion, whom was looking quite board without having anything to do but fly straight but the only thing she got was a bored gaze.

"Come on! It'll be fun! Ok fine, later then..." Serenity has been since the last major storm was about two weeks ago and now there's just little storms where it makes you cold and soggy and not the kind where your wanting to run around in it. So they passed over the ship and after a few moments they landed at the sandy beaches of Loki's Lagoon as traders call it, but sometimes it's known as many different things and some are just plain rude.

"Ok lets go see what all this is worth," Artymis patted her dragon on the neck and then made her way to an old friend.

Jolly saw the island in the distant, and puhed down on the saddle of her woolly howl. Shudder got the hint, and flew a little bit lower.

Jolly was a messenger of the king, and she was proud, wearing the red night fury emblem on her chest that represented her occupation.

The young woman looked at her dragon.

"Time to go, I hope we're right."

They would check this place out, before moving on to the general's stronghold. But honestly, Jolly didn't think she would find the general there. She heard the entire squad had been annihilated.

"Tough times, my old companion. Not even the Imperial Force is as strong as we think.", she whispered, and ruffled the fluffy mane of her strike class dragon.

Well, like always, numbers were the problem. Two thirds of the Imperial Forces were currently out and fighting the war, and the rest had to deal with the rising crime rates.

As she finally reached the building she was looking for, Jolly commanded her dragon to land and pulled out a little golden trumpet-like instrument. The sound was very recognisable, clear and loud, and she blew it three times. Then she positioned herself in front of the nearest door and pulled out her letter.

Firefly was sneaking through the trainee's quarters. Everything was silent, and dark. Tiptoeing through the room, she listened. Nothing.

After another few steps, she had reached the room she was searching for. A small bedroom with four beds, only one was occupied, the other three trainees that slept here had been wounded and were currently in the medic's part of the building.

Fire knew this, she used to visit her friend in this room. Swift as a night fury, she snuck over to a bed with a ruffled blanket. Closer, closer, her bare feet didn't make a sound.

A bit closer...

The girl pulled the blanket away to reveal... an empty bed. As she heard how the door opened behind her, and the hissing sound of a candle being lit, she turned around.

"Uh... this is awkward."

Her friend was standing in the door, the usually clear blue eyes clouded with exhaustion and on her face a half confused, half scared look.

"What are you doing in here?", Firnfall asked.

"What are you doing out there?", the intruder asked back, a little bit more aggressive.

"Stuff... I'll tell you in the evening, okay?"

Her friend walked past her, her movements slow and uncoordinated.

"So this is why you are always tired? Sneaking out at night?"

Fire's face lit up.

"Ohhh, I know what's up. It's a boy, isn't it?"

"No? I wouldn't risk my health and grades for a simple romance?"

Firnfall shook her head, and began getting her uniform out of the cavity under her bed.

"Oh, come on, tell me now."

"Not enough time. Why are you here anyway?"

"It's your birthday, genius."

Firn looked completely shocked, almost a bit terrified.

"Oh no... really?"

"Yeah? Normal people are happy when it's their birthday, you know? Ced got cake."

"I've got more important things in mind... Already so late... You need to go now, we start early today. Fight training before the sunrise."

Fire sighed, and closed the door behind her back.

The old sailor next to Birch began complaining once more, after he had been silent for so long.

"I can't believe it! This rat is going to get us all killed! Look at that!"

"Look at what?"
Birch's eyes were still half closed, he didn't even notice he had been asleep.

"This rock! We are way too close to Loki's Lagoon!"

The old man stumbled and limped away, an empty bottle in his one hand.

"I will find the captain of this ship and throw him into the sea personally! Aye!"

Irene watches a girl and her dragon soar away from a ship, its mast smoking. Valencia, Irene's dragon, rumbles. Irene pats her dragon's head.

"It's okay, girl, we can raid a ship later. You still need to rest." Irene glances at Valencia's sore ankle. The two had been traveling on land often, going from one side of Loki's Lagoon to the other, trading. Irene knew of some groups of pirates, but Irene mostly stuck to herself and Valencia. After what happened back at home she didn't want to put her dragon in danger again. Irene watches the sun set on the north borders behind the waters of the empire. The Freewings tended to attack at north-western borders, and Irene had parted from her group to investigate before launching an attack on a patrol party. Out of the corner of her eye, Irene watches a purple blaze shoot through the sky.

It was one of her group's warning signals coming from their Night Fury. Irene sits up, fixing Valencia's saddle, before hesitating. Her ankle was only becoming increasingly swollen. Valencia bites her hand softly, as if to tell Irene to hurry up. Irene continues prepraing her dragon and then climbs onto her back. Valencia takes off without a moment's notice. She sways from side to side before steadying. Irene jerks on the reins she handcrafted herself to steer Valencia towards their group.

"Help!" A voice yells. "We got caught!" A Razorwhip *whips* past them, the boy on the dragon looking as he had just seen a ghost. The rest of the fleet trails behind him, and behind them: the whole patrol squad from the Outer Forces. Irene ducks as one of the Outer Force's dragons fireballs narrowly misses her head.

((idk where to go from this... so join in as you like, as part of the pirates group, the outer forces, anything is fine. i hope im following the plot correctly))

General Krishal Saha

Krishal smiled. She always enjoyed spending time with the hatchlings after a long tour of duty at the borders. She heard the musical call of a Terrible Terror and glanced up as one landed on her shoulder, holding out it's leg to reveal a message tube tied there. Terror Mail was pretty efficient. A well trained Terror could find any person their letter was meant for as long as they had either the scent of the person or a visual of what they looked like whether it was from a portrait or from meeting them in person. Krishal knew this mail Terror personally. A little fellow named Indigo for his deep blue scales.

"Hey Indigo, how's Sarah doing?" She asked, thinking of the little girl that the Terror belonged to. Her family rain the local Berkian mail service and Indigo was one of her favorites. She knew the family well because she trained with Sarah's older brother before he was shipped out to the borders of the kingdom. They still kept in touch. The Terror twittered a greeting as it sat on her shoulder, letting her read the message. She scanned it, seeing it was from one of the Generals at the palace, General Marchdale. They needed her to come to the palace for a meeting. Go figure. She sighed.

"So much for spending the weekend with the family." The Seyhkya/Berkian girl sighed, going over to get her saddle from where she'd left it on the paddock fence. Starwave looked up expectantly, seeing the girl with the blue Terror on her shoulder as her mother came over.

"Leaving already?" Zavia asked, titling her head at her daughter as she watched the Wooly Howl and Skrill hatchlings make a beeline for their parents. They kept a good breeding stock for when they needed to bring new lines in for the Skrowl breed.

"Sorry Mom, I won't be able to stay for dinner. General Marchdale needs me at the palace for a meeting. Tell Dad I left my love, will you?" Krishal asked, the Seyhkya woman smiling and hugging her daughter.

"Sure thing sweetheart. You and Starwave be safe." Zavia replied, holding her daughter at arm's lenght.

"I will Mom, don't worry." The younger woman replied, mounting her Light Fury and Starwave took off, heading towards the palace in the capital city. She was wondering what the meeting was about, wondering if she was called in to help with the peace negotiations with the Seyhkya royals that were coming

Pirate ARtymis (heh get it?) and her Stormcutter Serenity

Artymis walked over to Old Lady Marge (a nickname given to her by a Artymis personally). The two went way back since Artymis’s first raid.

”Hey Marge, got some goods and I was hopin that you’d see how much this junk is worth,” Artymis said as she walked in and then sat at the table she usually sat at and dumped the batch on the lumpy surface.

”Ah Artymis, of course!” The old lady came out from behind a desk and walked over she had a slight limp from age and red-ish brown straight hair, she had kind eyes but she wasn’t afraid of a fight.

”Hmm interestin haul you brought!” She said in her mildly amusing accent, “This here is worth a nice amount of gold,” she pointed to the thread of silk with a long witchy finger “ The rest is just about 10 gold,” she said.

”Alright,” said Artymis and she walked out of the hut pretty proud of her find.

After a short, but fun birthday breakfast, the four best friends got split up into their training groups.

Fire walked over to Firn.

"Looks like we've got dragon theory, house duties and fighting, with a big break and... some big announcement? We should wear our family robes?", Firn read aloud from one of the plans that were hanging on a door.

"Probably they'll finally announce the score for this year."
"Yeah, that sounds likely."

Fire hated the "family robe" thing to be totally honest. She knew the acadamy preferred richer and more privileged trainees, but it didn't have to be this obvious. Honestly, letting all your power depend on the fancy animal emblem on your chest was just plain stupid to her.

Firn picked up a list next to the training plan for the day.

"They let Measles compete in the tournament again."

"Even though he is too young?"

"As a Westerberg, he can basically do whatever in Thor's name he wants."

"Yeah, but this is like... a law. No minors in dragon races of this category."

"He got gold every single time the last few years, of course they let him join in the next league. He is like a big promoting sign for the academy at this point."

Firefly just scoffed. Not at her friend, but at the stupid system. Firn was nice and all, and this clearly wasn't her fault, but she just didn't know how hard it was to get ANYTHING in this kingdom as an uneducated little fisher girl, especially a place in the Outer Force. And then you got this red headed, walking twig called Measles that could just do whatever he wanted. But again, this wasn't his fault.

"Well, see you for fighting lessons."

Firn was a few classes above her in dragon theory, and they would attend different house duties after Firn managed to burn VEGETABLE SOUP one time. (her friends still mocked her for that to this day)

Jolly looked at her woolly howl.
"No one at home, let's send a terror mail.

The moment Grimm was done with feeding his dragons and preparing for a relaxed evening (for once), he heard a knocking on the door. With a sigh, the ex-general went to open it.

A young man with a red fury emblem pulled out a letter, most likely from the castle, bowed his head in respect and walked away.

Grimm sighed. One evening. One single evening.... But there was nothing he could do about it, after all they were at war.

Slowly but surely, Kyhbia's senses returned. He could feel the cold ground under his back, smell the moist air... what had happened? Where was he? Where was Tybaerias?

His memories were still there (hopefully) but they were scrambled, completely out of order and nonsensical.

Did the king... throw him down here? Why? And again, where was his brother?

For the first time in what felt like an eternity, he trid to move. Carefully he managed to sit up. Was... Was this the dungeon? Was he a prisoner?

Yes. Yes he was. There were thick chains around his wrists, keeping him where he was currently sitting.

it was cold, very cold. But something was... off. He felt weird. the ground beneath him didn't feel like stone. He was sitting in some kind of cage, freely hanging over an abyss.

Was this the dungeon? It was lit with a little bit of orange light from the deep, suggesting, maybe, vulcanic activity, but why was it so cold?

The dungeons were caves, giant caves like bread that was half-eaten by maggots, full of wooden walking bridges, natural tunnels and stone paths, natural caves that had been turned into cells, or cages hanging from the ceiling like his own.

It seemed like he could barely see a small part of it, maybe he had been brought to an especially safe or hidden part.

Kyhbia leaned back against the wall of his cage to think, and made it swing a little bit by doing so. Why was he even alive?

If the king really wanted a war with the Seyhkya, why didn't he just send them their prince's heads in a box? Was there some greater plan?

He continued analysing his situation and surroundings. The dungeons... were a maze. In the pale light, he couldn't figure out where which bridge was going where, or if those tall silhuettes in the dark were towers full of guards, and since this was only a small part of the whole underground construction, escaping alone seemed pretty impossible.

Where even was his place? Was he still close to Berk?

Wait... those shapes of the cave wands...

Could it be... But he clearly recognised that mountain.

He was directly under the castle. The mountain was hollow.

((Guess who finally got all her crabcakes together in enough time to post! :D))

Mossy wings extended over Claudia, guising her from the view of passing ships in the harbour. The intricate patterns and designs etched in clay on her skin enabled her to blend seamlessly in with the rocky outcroppings along the shore of Loki's Lagoon. Perched precariously on the rock face, the frothing waves pounded mercilessly against the stones, fragments of rock tumbling off into the writhing sea beneath them. Claudia and Topaz had been scouting the area all morning, searching for a cargo ship to ransack. Despite the many trading vessles in the area, none of them had caught her eye as one particularly noteworthy... until she noticed the gleaming sails of a large ship drifting into view. 'The Lucky Arrow' was scrawled in embroided letters along her hull. It was odd for such a vessle to be sailing into these waters, they were a known hunting ground for pirates such as herself. The question was: Could Claudia even manage the hesit solo?

A quick scan of the ship left her with a resounding no. Not unless she could catch them by suprise. She'd have to take out the Rumblehorn riders first, which should be easy enough. She had a dart and a large dose of hemlock in her satchel, enough to cause paralysis of the central nervous system. The dragons would continue to fly as if nothing were wrong and the riders would not be able to move to sound the alarm. The next challenge would be to approach the ship without being spotted. Topaz wasn't exactly adept at camouflaging over the open ocean... though the pacifist Sentinel did make for a wonderful distraction. Even if she managed to sneak on board, it would be impossible to unload with all the cargo but truth be told, it wasn't the cargo Claudia cared about. She was not even planning to steal anything. If she were able to isolate the captian she may be able to bribe him into retrieving the thing she was truly after. He could keep his precious cargo for all she cared.  Flexing her fingers, Claudia decided to take the risk and give it a shot.

Carefully, she climbed out from underneath her dragon, unclasping the leather saddle from her back and wedging it beneath a rock. Claudia angled herself to sit just below Topaz's wing. She slowly pulled a dart gun from her bag and retrieved one of her darts. The feathers on the end had been dyed white for organizational purposes. She placed the hemlock-dosed dart into the gun and brought the tubular weapon to her lips. She had crafted the dart gun herself and had even spent the extra money buying an expensive glass to craft a scope. Closing one eye, Claudia took aim. She steadied her breath and calmed her trembling arms. Then she forcefully blew into the reed. With a quiet popping sound, the dart shot from the gun and towards the first Rumblehorn rider. Claudia had aimed for the weaknesses inbetween the plates of armor. Without any time to wait, she repeated her actions with the second rider.

Sliding the dart gun back in it's spot, Claudia drew her changewing scaled cloak around her tightly. With a series of hand getsures and clicking sounds she informed Topaz on what to do. The dragon cooed in understanding. The sound of rocks cracking was drowned out by the concussive ocean waves as Topaz sprung to the life. The Sentintel stood on her hind legs and Claudia climbed onto her back. She lay flat against her dragon. The cloak around her shifted in colouring to match that of Topaz's scales, making the Sentinel appear riderless as she took to the sky. A few wingbeats later, Topaz landed on the ship, startling a few of the crew. With a lazy purr, Topaz happily nuzzled the crew member closest to her which happened to be a man playing a game of cards then proceeded to lick him. Rolling her eyes, Claudia quieltly slid from her dragon's back and took cover began a large barrel of provisions, the cloak allowing her to move around nearly undetectable.

"And you are positive in his fair treatment of you?" The young woman's eyes widened fearfully at the abrupt question. She drew her arms in close to herself, hugging herself tightly.

"He... uh... he." Her eyes glistened in the flickering firelight as she turned away from Cheslock, staring at a smooth wall as if it suddenly became very interesting.

Cheslock eased up slightly, sicking back leisurely in his plush chair, a cup of white wine loosely hung in his hand. "I am just making sure, ma'am. I've heard that it can be quite troublesome to be indentured in the service to the king as a chamber maid."

"I... uh... I- I am treated okay... I guess." The woman hurried to retrieve her cleaning supplies. "My lord." She added hastily.

Cheslock frowned slightly, reaching out and stopping her. "You need not fear me."

"It's not you I'm afraid of." She mumured, turning tose hazel eyes downcast.

"Oh?" Cheslock raised an eyebrow.

The chambermaid gasped, clasping her hands over her mouth. "I- I've said too much. I.. I should go."

"Hush, little dove. You can trust me." Cheslock vowed sincerely, placing a hand over his censored. he gazed up at the trembling maid with doeful eyes.

"I just... I never know when I will get food or... or not or..." The maid sighed in regisnation.

"Oh no." Cheslock frowned, his voice inflecting true compassion. "I have a proposition. If you continue to work in my services as my little whisperer, I will pay you quite handsomely. More than usual."

"I- I couldn't take your money... my lord." The woman gasped sharply.

"Why not?" Cheslock chuckled goodnaturedly. "I possess quite the abundence of it."

The main chewed on her lower lip, staring hard at the floor.

Cooing softly Cheslock leaned over, taking her chin gently with his index finger. "Now, what have you come here to tell me, little dove?"

"I... I heard from Calliegh that..." She leaned over and whispered in his ear.

"Oh, really?" Cheslock furrowed his brow. "Now that is very interesting. Thank you." He smiled kindly and pulled out a bag full of coins from under the sofa. He dropped the money in her outstrecthed palm with a melodic clang. "For your troubles."

The maid's eyes widened in suprise as she gazed up at Cheslock in disbeleif.

"Go buy yourself a feast." He pat her shoulder.

Stammering, the maid backed out of his quarters with a nervous bow. She turned heel and scampered down the hall.

Cheslock sat back in his arm chair, a contented smirk on his face.

Ingrid was pressing her ear against the walls of the throne room. This was actually very dangerous for her, since both her father and older brother tended to very harsh... punishments.

But as she saw the two strange men that spoke the strange language, she just couldn't resist.

Suddenly, steps.

Ingrid rushed away from the door, as it opened and two guards dragged the lifeless bodies of the visitors outside.

It would be really smart to go now.

Ingrid followed them.

Apparently, they brought the strangers to the dungeons, the eastern part. Like a shadow in her dirty black dress, she snuck behind corners, trying not to get caught while she fully indulged her nosyness.

Suddenly, one of the guards turned around, apparently he heard something.

In shock, the princess turned around and just ran as fast as she could.

Merl entered the room, and sighed. His father made him SICK. And he had to meet his... friend this week, but stupid roaylty stuff always got in the way.

The crown prince grabbed a few things, before turning around. He had decided, he would have a meeting tonight.

He marched straight to a tower in the western part of the castle, and just scoffed at the two guards in front of the door to make them move.

His cousin was kept like an emberassing secret by the king. Not that he cared in any way, but why adopting that boring waste of oxygen in the first place.

In the room, he found Erik sitting on the couch with his younger sister, Ingrid.

The other boy's eyes widened, as he knew how much Merl hated it when they spent time together.

It looked like they had painted something, because the room was a total mess.

"Away. Now.", he ordered.

Erik immediately responded and stood up, but Ingrid jumped at her brother and placed herself between the two. Merl's cousin tried grabbing her shoulder, but one look at Merl's face made him hesitate in the movement.

"Leave him alone, we were just painting."

"Leave. Now."

The ten year old charged at his legs, and Merl narrowed his eyes in displeasure. With wide eyes, Erik saw the situation, and gave Merl a begging gaze. Pathetic. Did he really think Merl would hit a child? Well, even if he were to hit her, he could swear Erik wasn't going to do anything about it.

"Erik, we are flying somewhere. You are coming. Ingrid..."

He took her by the sleeve of her shirt, trying to drag her outside so a guard could carry the screaming child to her room. But he hesitated.

"What is this?"

"Ouch, let go of my arm!"
"What is this?"

He stretched out her arm. There was a small wound on her elbow, still fresh and dirty with little rocks and sand.

"I don't think this happened inside the castle."

"Let me go!"
"Where were you?"

"Where. Were. You?"

Erik had noticed the situation was about to escalate, so he tried to push his head in Merl's view, blocking his sister.

"We were outside, picking flowers for the paint, and she tripped."

Merl narrowed his eyes. He knew his cousin was lying, there were multiple things that didn't add up. But he would discuss this later.

Dropping his sniffing sister, he opened the door and rushed outsiede without turning back to see if Erik was followingg him.

Before heading off to the stable, he faced a royal guard and stared him down.

"When I come back, I want to speak to your captain or whoever is responsible for my sister running around freely in- and outside the castle. Do you understand?"

Without waiting for an answer, the crown prince rushed off.

General Krishal Saha

The Light Fury soared over the harbor, making her call when she saw the ship below. Krishal looked down as they banked towards the palace on it's high mountain and past the guardian statues. She loved flying over the harbor and she knew the profile of every ship in it. She recognized the one coming in. The Lucky Arrow was a beautiful old girl. Having been in service for almost a decade, the ship had seen a lot of action.

"Fly low girl, I want to surprise the crew. Let's do the old swoop and dive." She told the dragon and Starshine rumbled her agereement. The dragon tilted her wings, diving for the ship and swooping just above the deck with a roar of greeting to the crew as she flew over the crow's nest before taking a heat draft to get up to the proper flight level. She laughed at the cries of the crew. "Man, I love doing that. Always fun to greet ship crews. Especially foreign ones who've never seen a Light Fury." Krishal told her dragon, who gave her a look that said "I love it as much as you do, but we really should get back to the palace. We're already late."

"I know, I know. Come on, let's get going." The Berkian/Seykhya woman agreed, earning a smug "Told you so" type look from her dragon before she straightened out. The dragon's intelligent golden eyes fixed on the mountain where the castle was located. They didn't speak the same language, but the Seykhya saw dragons as friends and companions that had as much intelligence as a human. Krishal's mother had taught her as much when she was growing up around the Skrowl, Wooly Howl and Skrill stock at the farm. Krishal firmly believed that dragons, especially the Fury types and Nightlights as well as similar breeds, had the intelliegence to understand what was going on around them. The well documented relationship of Hiccup Haddock Horrendus the III and the Night Fury Toothless was proof of that. They soon flew over the castle, someone responding to her flag signals to give her permission to land. With a graceful sweep of her wings, Starwave landed in the cobblestone courtyard in time to see Crown Prince Merl on his way to the stables.

"Your Majesty!" Krishal called, getting off her Night Fury. She had to take Starwave to the stables anyways. She would let her dragon rest there and see some of her friends among the palace dragons - maybe even get a chance to play with the little Princess. The girl spoiled her dragon rotten.

(I figure this was a good way for some of us to start interacting - a little surprise scare from a Light Fury, and Krishal with the Crown prince - I can't wait to see the reactions of the Lucky Arrow's crew to getting buzzed by a Light Fury!)

ARRRRRtymis- this is fun

Artymis walked out of the hut- it’s fish smell was washed away by the fresh ocean breeze.

”Alrighty then Serene bean,” she patted Serenity on the neck “we can get a pretty good pay day at the trading center,” occasionally Artymis found selling all her items to the same people boring so sometimes she’d secretly go to the kingdom in her stolen trader’s wear and sell things to fools who think things are worth more than they are.

”Looks like a storms comin,” Artymis noticed that from afar a nice storm was brewing and if they were lucky it would turn into a water spout. Serenity looked the same way and made a happy roar.

”Seems like we’re in agreement then!” Artymis hopped onto the dragon’s back and they flew towards the graying skies.

((I wasn't sure if I was to roleplay the guardsman but I did... I can edit this as need be.))

Cheslock scoffed to himself as he watched his chamber doors swung shut. He carefully rose to his feet, swirling the wine around in the glass in his palm. Though most of his guard preferred beer or aleCheslock prided himself on his much more distinguished, and expensive, taste.

Cheslock sauntered over towards his window, his footsteps falling muffled on the bear-skinned rug at the base of the bed. He paused in contemplation as he gazed in contempt outside th glass casing and into the courtyard below where small figures shakily wielding weapons twice their weight stood. Technically speaking, he was out there running training drills with the newbie guards out in the courtyard. Though he could have cared less about those scared boys outside, graduating from the ranks of the outer and inner force; expecting something great and fruitful of the world. Instead, he had just assigned one of his older members to drill them. They selected those with the most promise to be presented to him. As clever and diplomatic as Cheslock was, he tried not to get into any scuffles. Found it beneath him.

Cheslock turned away from the window as the doors to his chambers slammed open. One of the guards he had posted at the stable had burst into his quarters. What was his name? Randal.. Rory... Remmie?

"Sirthe-" the guard fell into silence as Cheslock raised a hand.

Cheslock leisurely drank the remainder of his wine. He slowly sat it down on a wooden chest by his bedside. The guard looked at though he was about to object as Cheslock languidly strolled back over to his chair and lowered himself down. The guard cleared his throat but was once again silenced by Cheslock who was now making a point about taking his time to pick the grime out of his fingernails with a dagger. The silence between the two was profound and awkward. The poor guard was fidgeting nervously in the hall way as Cheslock took his sweet time admiring his nail beds in the dim firelight. He raised his eyes to face the guard, as if just noticing that he was still there and sighed.

"Yes?" Cheslock drawled as he set down the dagger.

The guard looked relieved by the break in the silence. "Well- uh, sir... the Crown Prince-"

"Is that any way to enter someone's chambersSir Mangol?" Cheslock interjected softly.

"Oh. Please forgive me, sir. I fear my recklessness got the better of me."The guard chuckled nervously.

"Go on." Cheslock sighedboredly resting his cheek against his fist.

"The Crown Prince Merlhe uh, he requested to see you." Sir Mangol reported.

Cheslock let out a drawn out sigh. He never much liked Merl. The boy was far too stuck up and nasty. He did not seem to see the usefulness in others. "Did he mention at what time? I am a very busy man."

The guard did not speak for a moment; he glanced around the room. Cheslock had been doing absolutely nothing. He rarely ever did. The men in his guard respected him, though. He revised the entire castle defense system in the way to best utilize the given provisions and men, should a siege occur. He also revised the shift schedules and times of the guards to more effectively provide protection over the castle and its inhabitants 24/7. He had more than proven his merit as a leader and unlike the past captains, was not afraid to mingle with his men, go out drinking or hitting the town on their days off. His one and only requirements was that they respect his privacy and never ever interrupt him when he was in his chambers. "No, sir." Sir Mangol responded. "Just that he was going out riding and wanted to speak with you upon his return."

"Honestly." Cheslock sighed as he got to his feet. "Does he think I am some dog he can call and make do little tricks like 'stay' for him?

Sir Mangol fell silent briefly. "Be mindful of your tongue. Those words could be considered treasonous."

"Treasonous?" Cheslock said the word as thought it felt like sandpaper on his tongue. "I am loyal to King Necat first and foremost. Should the Crown Prince Merl recieve his promised crown then I shall be loyal to him. Until that day arrives, my tongue shall mind itself."

"Yessir." The guard dipped his head.

"You did well." Cheslock clapped the guard on his shoulder. "Now return to your post. If it is a meeting our prince wantsit is a meeting he shall receive."

The guards smiled briefly and dipped his head one final time before backing out of the door. He turned and set a brisk pace down the stone corridor, cloak billowing behind him.

Cheslock shut the door with his foot and turned back around. "Very well, then." He mused aloud to himself and turned to gather his armour. He really disliked that thing. It was heavy, hot, stuffy, and severely restricted his movements... not.to mention it took three servants to help him get it on. Stillit was a formality. Cheslock was known to usually forfeit this formality in favour of much malleable and breathable clothes, however, an audience with the prince was another matter entirely. He had to be dressed for the occasion.

The crown prince was in a REALLY bad mood. If it was some guard snooping around at night, well, he could easily deal with that. But his little sister? He had his secrets, and he was not going to lose his crown, head and dignity just because a little girl decided her room was boring.

In the last year he had slowly, so slowly no one could possibly notice it, worked out a plan. But he had to make sure nobody found out. He always got his food from the kitchen, he didn't accept any chambermaids in his presence, he locked the doors to his room at all time... and he spent months making everyone think that was just a normal behaviour of his. He would not have his hard work ruined.

As they slowly walked towards the stable, he noticed that Erik was really quiet. Yeah, he should make it even more obvious that he lied and Ingrid, in fact, hadn't been with him.

He thought about confronting his cousin now, or saving his nerve for later. Deciding he would need the energy, Merl kept quiet, too.

As they were about to reach the stables, a sparkling white dragon landed in front of him. If that wasn't the general... to the worst time he could possibly imagine. He had enough to worry about.

"Greetings, general Saha. If you are searching for my father, he is probably in the dining hall right now. If you want, you may join him, tell the guards at the door you have my invitation. Sadly, I won't have dinner at the castle tonight, Erik and I will have a little flight tonight, to exercise our dragons."

Great, now he probably had to invite her to come along. NOT what he wanted at all.

"I would invite you to join us, but after such a long and exhausting journey, it would probably be better to rest, since the conference tomorrow is going to be very important."

Ugh, he hated this "polite" talk. Everyone was just fluffing up their words until they completely lost their meaning. Merl preferred guards, he could command them around as he wanted, and nobody cared. Being rude to a general however... was a no-go.

The sea was quiet, and the wind was good. Birch had leaned against a barrel and fallen asleep. The old man that insisted on playing cards with him all night probably didn't even notice, he was way too occupied with emptying bottles and telling him how he once suffocated a screaming death by tying a knot in its neck.

Sure you did, grandpa.

A loud rumble pulled him away from his dreams. He opened one eye, then the other one. A large dragon was standing on the boat, licking the crew like a puppy.

"Weird dream..."

But as the one-eyed sailor jumped up and began ramming his fist in the air and shouting at the beast, while trying (and terribly failing) to stand straight and speak without stumbling over words, he noticed that this was real.

Birch got up in a second.

What should he do? It didn't seem hostile. This situation was difficult to interpret. If it's a foe, fight it, it's that easy. But that was not a foe, and not really a friend... should he attack? After all this was a ship full of weapons, and his own dragon was sleeping in it's belly.

It seemed like multiple members of the crew didn't really know what to do, either.

"Is this an attack?", he asked.

The sailor next to him just gave him a helpless look.

"I've sailed the sea for twenty years, and never has something like this happened to me before."

Suddenly, he heard a loud "thump". After turning around, Birch noticed that it was one of the rumblohorn riders who had fallen off the creatures back on the deck of the ship. A red puddle slowly began forming under him.

"THIS IS A PIRATE ATTACK! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE LIKE A COWARD OR FIGHT!", he could hear the one-eyed sailor scream, as the other rider dropped into the sea and began sinking like a stone.

Grimm had finally arrived at the castle, after a nerve-wrecking confusion with his papers, he was pretty late. A young guard approached him as he was guiding his dragons to one of the many royal stables.

"Would you mind joining the king's dinner tonight, dear sir?", the young man asked.

"Of course, it'll be my pleasure."

As he followed the guard, he could swear that he heard the cry of a sand wraith- no, a desert wraith. Strange. Usually, there were only strike class dragons in use at the castle. (with a few exceptions for razorwhips and stormcutters)

And sand wraiths were associated with the Seyhkya, it was generally very uncommon in the archipelago to ride one of these.

However, it could just have been a really strange sounding fury.

Claudia ~PIRATE~
Topaz definitely had her desired effect. The boat was instantly turmoil, the crew members jumping to their feet, wondering aloud what to do about her over-sized puppy of a dragon. Claudia, using the chaos as a distraction, snuck around to the side of the boat, toward's the captain's lodgings. She precariously climbed onto the side of the sea fairing vessel. Using the window sills as a foothold, she shimmed across to the captain's open window and wiggled inside. Clutching the cloak tightly around her, she landed with a muted thud inside the dusty gloom of the captain's lodgings... that was when all Helheim broke loose.
There was a loud thunk, followed by a splash as the corpses of the escort riders tumbled towards the ground. This caused an uproar of shouts, declarations of a pirate attack. Claudia could not help but smirk in satisfaction. They thought there were more. She wanted to keep it that way.
Simultaneously, Topaz lumbered away from the hapless crewmember she had been licked. With a massive yawn, she plopped herself down in front of the captain's chamber door. She curled up and peacefully looked about ready to sleep. Being the huge, nearly impenetrable dragon as she was, the crewmembers would have a very difficult time moving her from her desired location. She effectively barricaded the door.
Claudia, drawing a dagger from within the folds of the fabric of her boot, lunged at the captain, pressing the blade to their throat. "Call for help- I slit your throat. Move- I slit your throat. Try to look at me- I slit your throat." She whispered in the captain's ear. "We have your ship surrounded and your crew is in disorderly chaos. It was a very rookie move sailing into Loki's Lagoon." The fact that another ship not too far off was burning and sinking into the waves due to another, completely unrelated pirate attack from a girl on a stormcutter helped support Claudia's claims.

General Krishal Saha

Krishal sensed the Prince's foul mood, so did Starwave. The Light Fury sat back on her haunches, snorting indignantly before falling back on all fours as she went into the nearest open stall, smacking the boy upside the head with the fan on her tail, making the General giggle like a schoolgirl.

"Sorry, Starwave's just a little grumpy after our long tour of duty. But I thank you for your invitation." She apologized on behalf of her dragon, the beast poking her head out and giving her rider a look that said she clearly wasn't going to apologize for herself. Honestly, Light Furies could be so grumpy sometimes. At least, that's how Krishal liked to describe it. She bowed to the Prince and left him to his attitude. But she paused at the stable door, suspecting what he was about to do.

"If you have plans to go out later, make sure you avoid the docks. I hear they're increasing patrols there because of the recent sky pirate attacks." She advised, opening the door wide enough to allow her to exit with her spear strapped to her back. She walked back to the palace, opening the doors and heading inside. She found the guards at the dining hall.

"I have an invitation from the Crown Prince. I'm here to see the King." She told them and they let her inside immediately. She walked inside and knelt before the man seated at the table in the center, putting her fist over her heart.

"My King, I recieved your message and came as soon as I was able. Your eldest son told me where to find you." She greeted, the young woman keeping her position and her head lowered until the King acknowledged her

The king acknoledged his general, and waved his hand at the table, ordering her to take her seat. This table was made from gold and exotic wood, smelling like luxury. Every chair had its owner's name written in gold letters, as well as their family emblem.

Right after, ex-general Grimm Geraldson entered the room and kneeled down, bowing his head in respect.
"You may take a seat as well, consultant."

On a giant banner behind the king, there was the old battle hymn of the empire, all in gold letters.

We are pillars, we are shields, for this kingdom and its crown.

We carry it on our shoulders, we carry it in our hearts,

and we will carry its glory into every rising dawn.

Birch saw the giant dragon blocking the entrance, but didn't care. Like every other passenger, he was staring into the sky, looking for more pirates, while the guy he played guards with was the only one still shouting at the dragon and threw an empty bottle at it.

"Move you giant pebble or I'll do to you what I did to that screaming death!"

Meanwhile, in the belly of the ship:

A chocolate colored ashblaze was lying between two barrels, and sleeping peacefully, as Dusty heard sounds from the deck. Interested, the big dragon waddled over to the trapdoor that lead on deck. Closed.

Dusty cocked his head. Apparently, there was a dragon lying on the trapdoor... strange.

Well, he was not the brightest dragon, and decided it would be a good idea to roast the underside of whatever was blocking his path with a bright crimson flame.

Before he even found out if he was successful, the trapdoor was on fire, and it began spreading on deck and the underside of the floor in the captain's cabin.

Confused, Dusty looked up. He still needed some time to figure out what exactly he had done.

((Okay, stay tuned guys cause I've got a BIG and plot heavy post coming up))

Claudia could feel the captain's muscles tense under her blade, his fingers gong rigid and his head stiffening.
"Good." Claudia purred as she eyes the assortment of weapons in barrels. Tsking softly to herself she turned to the captain. "I am in a merciful mood today. I think I will let your ship sail into the harbor with most of its wares intact... but I want something in return for my mercy."
"W-what?" The captain studdered. "A-anything. Please. I- I need this to pay o-off some debt..."
Claudia's smile grew into a twisted smirk. He was desperate. This would be all too easy.
"Move you giant pebble or I'll do to you what I did to that screaming death!" The glass cracked fruitlessly against the Sentinel's rock-hard scales.
Topaz merely grunted and shifted her head towards the man. She lazily opened her maw and spat a small ember of fire on the older sailor's boot.
"A book and a favour." Claudia hummed softly. "I want a favour."
"S-sure... like w-what?" The captain shivered.
"Get me a full translation from the King's Tongue to Seyhka." Claudia elaborated. "Leave it by Raven Point at dusk."
"O-okay... and the favour?" Claudia could feel the cool precipitation formulating on the captain's back.
"I'll find you when I am ready." Claudia rumbled softly in his ear. "Swear it on the gods."
"I- I swear it on the gods." The captain nodded.
For insurance, Claudia grabbed a rope, looping it around the captain and tying his securely to the chair. A concussive booming sound from outside the chambers brought Claudia's attention to the cabin door. Spurts of golden flame were licking out from underneath.
"I- I thought you said you'd have mercy!" The captain exclaimed.
"I lied." Claudia shrugged. "Go back on your vow and I will name you an oath-breaker."
All a man was worth for was his reputation. Should he swear a vow on something as prominent as the gods and break said vow, he would have a lot of trouble securing another job.
The captain trembled in rage as Claudia decided to flee the ship, taking some of the weapons on her way out. She jumped from the window, plummeting towards the frothing waves and whistling loudly.
Topaz jumped a clear 2 meters in the air as the fire exploded from around underneath her. The trap door had already begun melting away as the Sentinel peered into the dusty crevice. Though Topaz could not see the dragon figure, judging from the scent alone, it was a blaze. Topaz gave the dragon a friendly growly and dipped her head down into the chamber, sniffing. She wagged her tail, the heavy appendage thumping against the desk, causing the weakening wood to splinter and fracture under talon. A sharp whistle caught the sentinel's ear as Topaz's head shot up. Her rider needed her. Extending her wings, Topaz churred in a farewell to the other dragon and took to the sky. She angled her wings downward and plummeted after her rider, swooping underneath the girl in just enough time to catch her. Topaz lifted back up into the air and winged fast away from the firey ship.
Cheslock trodded down the hallway, clad from head to two in his embellished and elaborate armour. The sound of his footfalls against the cobble corridor was accompanied by the menacing clank of the armour plates clashing against one another. Sword strapped to his hip, Cheslock set down a brisk pace, strutting down the hall and towards the stables. As he turned the corner, he noticed one of the chamber doors stood slightly ajar. A familiar figure looking rather petulant stood in the archway. He couldn't help but chuckled softly to himself as he paused mid-stride and turned to gaze at the little princess.
"Little songbird." Cheslock cooed, using his desired nickname for her as he dipped his head in a quick but respectful bow. "What appears to be the matter? That frown is no look for a brave young lady such as yourself."

After a class on dragon theory and some cooking, Firefly finally saw her friend again in a fighting lesson.

It was cold outside, and the clear sun didn't help. It was dry and the ground was already a bit frosty. The top trainees of this year were standing on a place outside the main building, warming up.

The girl spoted her friend on the side, and quickly ran up to her.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't you, my old nemesis.", she joked.

"I will make sure to beat you completely this time."

Firn smiled, and stopped stretching her arms.

"We'll see."

A horn announced that the training started, and the kids began fighting in pairs while their trainer walked around, grading them.

Firn made a step back and let her begin. Big mistake. Fire jumped at her, swinging her fist with full force before trying to get a kick in her stomach.

her friend ducked away, and jumped back again. Another round. Fire swung around, tackling her friend to the ground. The blond girl managed to grab her arm and twist it, before jumping away again.

It was a game as old as time. Se attacked, and Firnfall dodged. Sometimes, she could land a hit. Sometimes, Firn could use the situation to land a hit herself.

In the heat of battle she didn't even notice the trainer.

"Great accomplishment. You are one of the best students I ever had, and would make a great royal guard. however..."

Her walked over.

"You are wasting a lot of energy. Let's say, the punch you start the battle with. You don't have to pour all your energy into it, it's not gonna end the fight. Try to bluff sometimes, not every hit is a potential win. Some are just there to get the enemy where you want them to be. Geraldsen, your balance has improved even more as I see, if that is even possible, but you are still lacking the spirit. Do it right or don't. Passive-defensive won't make you actually win, it will just assure you don't lose. Otherwise, good style overall."

He walked away again. in silence, the two girls continued their fight until it was noon, and the lesson ended.

"Okay, I'll keep my promise. I'll tell you what I did all night."

Firn grabbed her friend's arm, and dragged her inside the building. They ran through corridors, until they reached an empty part of the building, where she opened a door hidden at the end of a corridor.

"You didn't answer yet.", Fire said, looking inside. It was very dark.

Her friend closed the door behind them.

"i studied battle plans."

"I collected information, translated letters, searched for clues in history books..."

"The war. there is a lot of stuff they keep a secret. Especially, how dangerous it actually is."

"Where did you even get all that stuff."

"I... we... Measles has a lot of connections."

"Measles is in this, too?"

hearing his name, the little redhead emerged from the shadows and lit a candle. Now Fire could actually see what was going on. Mountains of paper, candles and leftover food. there were little wooden dragons and knight placed over desks, the floor and painted pieces of paper that looked like small parts of a map, acting out important battles.

"How did you even...", Fire had lost her words.
"My father has some connections as well, and he actually speaks Seyhkya. He taught me, and I wrote those translations. Measles knows a guy who sells them at the islands in the south and smuggles them back to the north, to sell them there and spread them everywhere. With the money and connections, we got more information, and at this point I am SO close to uncovering a giant thing. I don't know what it is yet, but i swear..."

"You guys are insane."

Fire narrowed her eyes.

"But... what kind of "thing" do you mean? Are they... hiding stuff? What stuff? And you haven't told Ced yet, have you?"

Ingrid smiled at the captain of the royal guard, before going back to pouting.

"My stupid brother caught me sneaking around, and now I'm grounded."

Her face lit up as a thought came to her head.

"Could you take me outside for a dragon ride? He isn't at home anyway. Please, I'm so bored. I'll tell you where Marchdale hides his cookies and juice if you want, I found out a week ago."

She knew that the captain had a lot of super awesome dragon hybrids, and she really wanted to fly tonight, especially to annoy her brother who grounded her.

"My stupid brother caught me sneaking around, and now I'm grounded." The little princess' grin melted into another petulant expression.

Cheslock furrowed his eyebrows in a look of sympathy for Ingrid.

Ingrid turned to beam up at him. "Could you take me outside for a dragon ride? He isn't at home anyway. Please, I'm so bored. I'll tell you where Marchdale hides his cookies and juice if you want, I found out a week ago."

Chuckling, Cheslock held out a hand to her. "Whoa, slow down there." He placed an index finger to his chin in a contemplative look. "Perhaps I will take you out for a ride... but later. I am afraid going against the crown prince's would get me in trouble as well. Besides, your brother has requested my presence upon his return and it wouldn't do to keep him waiting... Actually, it is a good thing that I ran into you, little songbird. I got you something." Cheslock knelt down to be eye-level with the princess and pressed a gloved finger to his lips. "But it is a secret and you can't tell anyone you have it. Can you do that?"

General Krishal Saha

Krishal stood, heading over to the chair with the stylized Skrowl and Light Fury encircling each other like the oriental design of the Yin and Yang. That was her new family crest. Between them was an opal - not just any opal either. A rare Black Opal found only in the deserts the Seykhya controlled. This one in particular sat in a necklace around Krishal's neck - a family heirloom that her mother's family treasured and was passed on to the oldest female in the line once she was paired with her dragon partner for life. Krishal now wore it to remind her of Violet and Starwave with it's multitude of colors. She fingered the jewel that sat just below the hollow of her throat under the collar of her armor's tunic as she sat down, just five seats away from the King of Berk's empire. She nodded to the man that just entered the room.

"Consultant Geraldson, how's your family doing?" Krishal greeted, smiling kindly at the older man and former General. She knew he had a family, but she didn't know much about them. The man kept things pretty close to the vest. She couldn't blame him for that. Being a General, even a former General, was risky in the Empire. Especially if you rode a dragon like a Light Fury like they did. They were such rare and recognizable beasts that they were easily tracked and their breeding was strictly monitored. Nightlights were considered a forbidden species since they were a hybrid of Night and Light furies and therefore had traits of both. Sure, they were cute pet dragons, but they were forbidden as riding dragons.

(I figure hey, if Nightlights were forbidden as riding dragons, wealthy people might get around that by keeping them as exotic pets or something the way someone would keep a parrot or any large rare lizard)

At first, Ingrid was pretty disappointed that she wasn't going to fly tonight. but as the captain mentioned a special surprise, the flight was forgotten.

"Can you show me?", she asked, peeking over his shoulder to try and see what he was hiding.

A young nightlight hopped around the corner. They were kept as decorative dragons in the castle, but their tail fins were cut when they reached an older age, so nobody could even think about riding them.

Firn looked like she wanted to answer her friend's question, but she was interrupted by the sound of a trumpet.

"Completely forgot about that meeting! I'll show you the rest tomorrow, okay?"

Fire nodded and they rushed out of the little hidden room and to their bedrooms, where they changed into formal clothing in record time.

They were actually just in time as all the other trainees gathered around a wooden stage. There was the headmaster, and another man with a red night fury emblem on his chest.

The man, who was a messenger of the king judging by the emblem, pushed the headmaster aside and began speaking to the crowd below him.

"Thank you for gathering here today, young warriors. As you see, my name is Frederyk Marchdale and I am here to tell you that this academy of the armed and imperial forces will be closed for an uncertain amount of time."

He paused for a moment, to let the trainees process this and start whispering with each other.

"Furthermore, all teachers who are in the condition to fight, and trainees age sixteen and above that have reached at least 60% in their last fitness test, will be called to join the fighting forces at the borders and end the war in our favor."

A loud, collective sound of surprise and disbelief was heard, before everythng went silent.

Fire looked over to Firn, in shock.

"They... They won't call you to fight. It's your birthday just today.", she whispered.

"Age sixteen and above... I knew something like this would happen sooner or later. This is what I predicted, that they will run out of fighters soon. Next are the civilians, just like a hundred years ago in the great northern war...", Firn's eyes were glued at the king's messenger, and her voice was confident and cold, but her hands were shaking.

"Hey. Look at me. This won't happen. They are not going to send kids out on that battlefield. I won't let that happen!"

Her hands were on her friend's shoulder as Frederyk Marchdale began skimming through files and calling the qualified trainees.

Fire saw red. Every name that was called, every shivering teenager who walked over to the rest of the teachers next to the stage, every time her friend's hand tightened around hers as they watched it, she became more and more furious.

She saw Measles and Ced making their way through the crowd, the golden grizzly with a mane of sunbeams and the brown and blue snake with a cornflower were clearly visible on their chests.

And then, Marchdale reached the letter G... and Firn was called to fight.

And everything was red. How dared someone doing this? Who was responsible?

Before her friends could stop her, she ran onto the stage, shoving the messenger aside who lost his balance and fell off the edge between the panicked trainees.

She knew she had little to no time before anyone would pull her down again. This was her chance.

Consultant geraldsen nodded in respect, before making his way to his chair that was decorated with silver and blue. His family emblem was a giant grey cougar with a fur like stormclouds and light blue jewels for eyes, and the arrow of its slayer, the great Gerald. There was even a song about it. Not that anyone in the family was even a passable singer, but it was kind of nice.

The king nodded at his general and his consultant, and as a few other important guests arrived, servants began carrying golden plates inside. They began wandering behind the king and his close friends, almost invisble and without making a sound, and offering their delicious meals.

A few royal guards were positioned at the doors, smiling behind the helmets that covered their mouths. They knew that there would be a fiest for them, too, as they were entitled to everything that was cooked by the kitchen and not eaten by the king and his personal guests.

And it would be a fantastic fiest, they could judge that by the smell of grease, wine and sweet pastries.

The king folded his hands, ignoring the roasted quail on his plate.

"My dear friends, the situation has gotten more serious, and I have decided something. Instead of sending even more members of the imperial force to fight the war, we need another solution. But first off, drink, eat, and enjoy yourselves. We have all the time in the world, and I don't want to talk about such depressing matter before the first barrel of wine has been opened."

"Can you show me?" Ingrid asked giddily, hardly able to contain herself as she flounced around on her toes, trying to peek over the bulky shoulder plate on his armour.

Cheslock chuckled and from the confines of his cloak, drew an oddly small sheath. Gingerly, he withdrew a small, lightweight rapier from its leather bindings. The handle was much too small to be wielded by the adult hand and the shaft far too short. As a matter of fact, it was constructed with the proportions of a 10 year old in mind. Engraved on the hilt was a crest featuring some type of songbird. "I figured that even a lady as high bred as yourself requires the ability to defend herself in these times of war." Cheslock mused. "Rapiers are much lighter than broadswords, their thin tips are used to penetrate the cracks of a knight's armour. This one was made specially for you by my own blacksmith. I ensured that the balance is just right for a princess." Cheslock rested the sword on his finger, a few inches above the guard and let go. There, the gleaming rapier balanced upon his index finger. "See?"

General Krishal Saha

General Krishal nodded to her king, picking up the goblet set at her seat and smiled as she saw it was filled with her favorite drink - a cafinated desert drink called klah (if you can guess what that's from, you're EXPERTS when it comes to dragons). It was made from the bark of a desert shrub and always welcome when she needed to relax (or even wake up in the morning). She had some ideas on how to deal with the situation at the borders. But she needed time to process them. She wouldn't voice them just yet.

"Your Majesty, wasn't there supposed to be a contingent from the Seykhya tribes coming to visit to discuss peace negotiations? My Mother was originally from the tribes, as you are well aware, the Gyndus tribe to be specific. They were known for their Wooly Howl lines and my father met my mother when he went to discuss his breeding program for the Skrowls." Krishal asked out of curiosity. She kept her tone polite, wondering if the people they were sending had arrived yet as she sipped her klah. She'd seen two unfamiliar dragons including a Sand Wraith in the stabels earlier and she wondered if they belonged to a new captian or something. Sand Wraiths were popular among regular troops these days after all.

"General Saha!" The leader of the patrol squad barks as he busts through the door, pulling gruffly on Irene and her crew. "We found these... scum -- on the borders. We saw them planning an attack."

Irene kicks the man's leg, trying to get free, and he only tightens his grip. Irene notices they had just walked in on the General speaking with an old man calmly. Irene adverts her eyes, watching her dragon struggle in the grips of the other patrol soldiers.

"Let me go!" Irene shouts, ripping her hand free from the leader's grasp, and sinking her nails into his arm. She hears the clicks of shackles behind her, and widens her eyes at the sight of her friends being locked up. "I said, let me go!" Irene repeats. Valencia roars suddenly. One member of the patrol squad tries to shut Valencia's jaw, but her dragon lets out a blast of fire. Some of the members jump out of the way of the fire. Irene glares at the General ahead of her, waiting for her to make the next move.

Krishal was waiting for a reply when the guards came in with the two prisoners - a girl and her dragon. A Shockjaw to be preceise. Probably some sort of hybrid or bred for riding judging from how the spines of the frill were arranged. She also saw the dragon's poorly healed leg. Poor thing.

"ENOUGH! Get off that dragon at once! She's just trying to defend her rider. Perosnally, I can't blame her for that. I admire a dragon who's willing to get past their own difficulties to help their humans." Krishal snapped, flaring a little as she snatched a salmon off the serving plate of a servent who almost got roasted by the dragon in question, allowing the young woman to scurry away from the beast as fast as her legs could carry her. Her short cape flared out behind her as she approached the Shockjaw, bowing to the creature before offering it the salmon.

"Shhh....shhhh...there's a good girl. Now let's just calm down before someone gets hurt. Wouldn't you rather have a nice salmon? They're fresh from the ovens." The woman offered the dragon, keeping her voice calm, right hand out towards the dragons snout with the fish in her fist by the tail. It was covered in spices meant for the Generals, but she wouldn't mind sacrificing a fish for this gorgeous creature. Shockjaws had been one of her favorite dragons growing up. She'd had a toy one she named Leviathan. Levi for short. She still kept it on display in her room - moth eaten as it was, it was still her favorite toy. She could tell the dragon was well cared for, even if it hadn't eaten a decent meal in awhile. She figured the best way to gain the trust of the rider, was to gain the trust of the dragon. That was how she preferred to opperate. The salmon was still warm in her bare palm, but she didn't care. Not about the grease on her hand or the warm scales of the fish in her hand. She thought of her own dragons - Starwave and Violet. She knew both the Skrowl and the Light Fury would do anything to protect her if she were in this girl's situation right now. Just like the Shockjaw was doing. This was dragon training 101. How many times had she done this on her family farm when a bull Skrill got aggressive over a female? Or a female Woolly Howl got aggressive protecting her nest? She probably knew draconic behavior better than anyone in this room, save the King himself. One glare from her (think Erza Scarlet of Fairy Tail level glare) was enough to keep the approaching guards from the room back.

Busy week, and super hot

Artymis and Serenity flew through the air, as the smell of rain got stronger so did the wind.

”Almost there!” She yelled over the howling of the wind that whipped on her face, and the rain lightly splashed the duo which refreshed their urge to fly through the storm that was now a water spout one of their favorites. Serenity opened her double wings and let the rain guide her through the storm and Artymis just enjoyed the rush, everyone in Loki’s Lagoon usually call them “Thor’s kin” for their love of the storms and how they make flying through it look so easy.

”Ah! I missed this!” Artymis sighed and Serenity roared a reply and then headed into the eye of the spout. It was the most beautiful thing as you got inside, everything was muted and it was just you and your dragon, you could see the colors of the rainbow spinning around the spout and as you started flying with the storm you could hear songs coming from the heavens and the lightning and rain dance with you.

ingrid squeaked with happiness, and grabbed the rapier and snatched it out of Cheslock's hand.

"THIS IS SO AWESOME! You have to show me how to use it! Now!"

Still giggling in excitement, she pointed it at the young nightlight next to her.

"En garde, dragon! Bow to the warrior princess!"

Then she started wailing it around uncontrollably.

The king raised his hand, and put down his cup.

His voice was firm and cold, but not loud or aggressive enough to scare the dragon. Everyone in the room froze. King Necat, in all his glory, stood up from his table and walked a few steps towards his guards. Consultant Geraldsen jumped up and pulled out a sword, quickly following him. The consultant placed himesalf next to the king, and before the young girl the guards brought in.
His posture was tense, but his gaze was soft. This girl reminded him of his daughter, and he tried to calm her down with his looks. But in his stomach there was a uncertain feeling. The king tended to be very censored punishments.

The king raised his voice again.

"You endangered me and my private guests by bringing in a criminal and her dragon.", he said to the guards, as cold as ice.

"This behaviour won't be tolerated, be sure about that. But now, tell me what she did, so I can find a fitting punishment and continue my dinner. And...", he glared at the guards.

"I will make sure you will suffer the exact same punishment as her, for being this reckless in such dangerous times."

He began losing his patience. Where was his captain, and why didn't he stop the intruders before they reached the dining room. This would have consequences.

Cheslock rolled to the side to dodge the princess' spazzmatic flails. Lifting oen arm up, he grabbed her wrist in a tight grip and stilled her sword arm. "Not like that, little song bird." He cooed and gently pushed her arm downward, taking the sword form her. "Rapiers are all about precision. Flailing it around will only get your killed, little warrior. If you want to keep your sword, you have to prove to me that you can handle it, meaning no stabbing anyone, no flailing it around and above all, you must keep it hidden at all times. If you can do this, I will endeavor to teach you how to use it properly by the week's end. Does that sound fair?" He smiled at her kindly. "And every great sword has a name, perhaps you should name your's."

General Krishal Saha

General Krishal stood from where she was crouching in front of the Shockjaw, leaving the salmon within reach of the dragon and wiping the grease on the armor of her pant leg. She turned to face him.

"Your Majesty, if I may be so bold, I would like a chance to speak to this young lady about what happened. I'm sure we can sort this out without any drastic actions being necessary. Not that there won't be punishment, of course. But I would like to know what happened and how she came to be captured by our troops. She appears to be of the Kingdom originally. If she was born a citizen and turned to a life of crime for survival, perhaps there is something we can do to help." Krishal suggested, keeping her tone calm like she had with the dragon. Sure, she was a General who rode a Light Fury, but she had to be careful with how she worded things. She could tell from the way the young woman looked that she was from the Archipelago kingdom. Why she was a sky pirate, that was what Krishal wanted to know.

Ingrid nodded.
"Of course, you are right... something with justice... or freedom. And maybe something that sounds really really intimidating like storm or lightning or flame!"

She turned around.

"You need to help me! There are so many names to choose from."

The young nightlight began chewing her sleeve, and licked the wound at her elbow.

"Ouch, that burns, stupid dragon! Do you even know who I am?"

The king eyed his general.

"General Saha, it seems like your heart is not just brave, but also kind. But keep in mind that it is my responsibility to rule over this kingdom, and it is my responsibility to shield it. I will listen to what this person has to say if that is what you wish me to, and will decide how to proceed. But keep in mind that tonight we have to decide more important things than the fate of a single individual.

He walked over to his throne, and waved at the guards to make their prisonaer kneel before him. The dragon was brought to the stables, the same as the desert wraiths. he would need to get rid of them, soon.

"Now tell me what you have to say. Mind your words, your life may depend on it."

Dusty looked up. That thing that had blocked the trapdoor was a dragon! He never would've guessed... and a very pretty dragon at that!

The pretty dragon wagged her tail, and Dusty responded with a few growls. then he jumped around in a circle, ready to play.

But his new friend flew away...

Was this the game? Where was the other dragon flying?

Dusty was curious now, and opened his big wings that had the color of burned sand. He began flapping them faster and faster, following the other dragon.

Then, he remembered that little human that always followed him around. Dusty was sorry for the human, very frail and wingless. He would take he human with him.

Dusty swooped over the deck and grabbed his human with his claws, still following the pretty dragon.

Words began forming in Fire's head.

"Friends, why do you let this happen? Why should we fight a war? Why we, the ones with our life ahead of us?"

Fire was improvising.

"Friends, why, I say? Because we've been told to. But who would give such an order?"

Her heart began beating louder. If she said something against the king, there was no turning back.

"There are other ways to stop this, there are other ways that could end this. We will fight, but not at the borders. We will fight for our friends to live! This is not right!"

The crowd slowly got louder. Some began clapping and cheering, but firefly could see guards and teachers coming at her. Measles and firn were trying to stop them, their family crests very visible in the sunlight. That stopped them for a bit, espcially Measles' grizzly.

"We will show them the line they can't step over! The rule they can't break! We'll show them that there is an end! This war has gone on for too long, and this kingdom is sick of it!"

More cheering, but some loud shouting and people starting to disagree.

She opened her mouth again, but someone tackled her off the stage.

Fire was lying in the grass, and she saw the chaos she sparked. Measles and Firn like rocks between the waves, stnading their ground firmly and trying to get her out of trouble. Ced was trying to, too, but he was simply ignored and pushed aside.

A few guards charged at her, and she got back on her feet in no time.

And then she punched a guard in the face.

The whole campus erupted in one big, single fight. People punched, scratched, and tackled each other in the mud. Trainees were piling up to win against guards double their size.

Fire was fighting two guards, and began using everything she learned the last few years. Poor guys. Was Firn really still trying to settle this with words? Measles had joined the fighting and the frail little boy was twisting a giant guard's arm behind his back.

And then everything went black. maybe she got hit in the face? Well, it didn't matter.

The last thing she felt was the grass and the mud.

Cheslock ~CAPTAIN~, Claudia ~PIRATE~

"Of course, you are right... something with justice... or freedom. And maybe something that sounds really really intimidating like storm or lightning or flame!" Ingrid was practically bouncing with excitement. "You need to help me! There are so many names to choose from."

"I always found 'Kindness' to be a suitable name for a weapon. That way you could kill people with Kindness." Cheslock gently nudged the little princess. ((I had to make the reference)).

Cheslock's emerald eyes darted towards the young nightlight. The princess squirmed away from it. "Ouch, that burns, stupid dragon! Do you even know who I am?"

"Actually." Cheslock mused as he rose to his feet. "Nightlights have potent healing properties in their saliva. My men use it on the battle field from time to time. It must think you're quite the warrior."

Claudia heard the steady thrum of the flapping of wings behind her. She strecthed her back, noticing that a... dragon was flying after her. Someone, she assumed its rider was clutched haplessly in its talons. It did not appear to be in persuit, in fact, it seemed quite happy to be flying after them.

"Foolish dragon." Claudia sighed.

The rider has absolutely no control over it. Perhaps it was still in the process of being trained. The Ashblaze did not even seem aware of the fact that it was a riding dragon.

Claudia nudged Topaz downward and the sentinel responded. The pair glided over the thick forest for a moment before disappearing underneath the canopy.

Claudia steered Topaz into a sharp right and hid underneath the speckled shaded trees.

Dusty was still flying behind the pretty dragon, the little human still in his claws. Little human had started kicking and shouting.

"Let me down Dusty! Berk is in the other direction! Stop following the pirates, you're going to get us killed."

Little human was really angry, but Dusty didn't care. He wanted to play.

The shblaze soared behind his new dragon friend as she flew over an island, and just disappeared.

He hovered on the spot, confused.

Dusty called for his friend, with long, sad roars. Ashblazes were really social and enjoyed the company of other dragons very much. With a few barking sounds, he offered to play, landed, and wagged his tail while calling for his friend.

Little human somehow escaped his claws, and pushed against his head.

"Dusty, we have to go now!"

Dusty didn't move. He wanted to play, not fly away.

Ingrid eyed her rapier again, before trying to stab the air, this time more precise.

"Kindness... That's a pun! Oh, that's so funny I like that. Kindness it is."

As she heard about the healing saliva, her face turned thoughtful.

"If that's the case, dragon, you are allowed to proceed."

A guard ran through the corridor hectically. Finally, he found his captain with the princess not far from her room.

He had to inform his captain that there were intruders in the dining room of the king.

((You can play the guard if you want.))

"Our apologies, Your Majesty," some of the Outer Force guards say all at once. Irene stops yanking on the chains as the King makes his way over to her, giving her a chance to speak. She could feel the guard's cold gauntlet around her arm. Valencia calms as the woman who the guard had called "General" feeds her salmon. Some guards carefully take her away as to not cause more disruption.

The guards around her all kneel at once in unison, their eyes not coming off the floor. Irene refuses to kneel at first, then has a thought. She might as well pretend she isn't a pirate at all; and so, she kneels dutifully. The rest of her crew follow. This was also a life or death situation. Irene weighed her options, looking to the rest of her crew.

"We're merchants," Irene lies, staring into the King's eyes. "They thought we were those... filty pirates, and took us." Irene hesitates, searching for something else to convince the King that they were to be released. "We only work with the Empire, as you know --"

The Outer Force squadron leader cuts her off. "Then tell us why we've never seen you before?" He demands. "We keep track of every merchant who comes and leaves. We can't have any... spies." He hisses the last word. The leader looks to the King, his arm still taut around Irene's arm and his other hand on the hilt of his sword. "Your Highness, they must be lying. Please, allow us to take them away."

"Irene?" a voice says gruffly. A figure walks away from the edge of the room, the shadows on his face. Irene's eyes drop, her hair falling in front of her face as if on cue. Valencia whips her tail with agitation, edging away from the figure. "Irene," he repeats. "Let go of her."

"Sir, I advise for you to take a seat," a guard says by the doors of the room. As the man sits, his bright blue eyes come into the light. Irene doesn't need to take a second look at the man to realize it was her father.

((ok so for quick backstory, i wrote this on my character sheet but basically irene had a father that was a former commander of the outer forces, so most people knew her by her name because of her father. idk if this will play into how the king treats her, you guys go as you like, but ya))

Rawr dragons eat fish rawr

Artymis would of continued on if not for the continuous and annoying roars that echoed faintly outside the spout.

”Why do people have to always interrupt this moment?” She yelled over the howling once more to Serenity who rolled her eyes and made a annoyed growl.

”I wanna help- but....” she WAS a pirate not the national guard, “Ya know what... I really don’t feel helpful today,” she said through it was drowned out by the sound but Serenity knew what she said and slowed down and made the ride more enjoyable.
