Hey there! I'm new here!
So, I've been ghosting the forums for around 3-5 years now. (yeah thats a long time) and I finally got an account! I know pretty much how everything works, and I'm more than willing to meet everyone! Can you guys give me some tips?
HI! Welcome to the forums! Wow, you've been ghosting for a looong time, I did for a little over half a year until I realized my account would FINALLY let me post.
Tip #1: Whenever you post comments, don't click the send button more than once even if it's taking forever to load. I learned that you can count to ten, and if it's still loading, move on to another page. Your post will still post NO MATTER WHAT.
Tip #2: Create your own siggy! And, well, just talk to us since you know how everything works :D

*Throws you cookies*
Just stopping by to say hello, and welcome to the forum!
Heyo, welcome to the forums! Hope you enjoy your time here :)
Wecome to the forums! :) Alot has been said, so I'll just tell you a brief guid on how to post pics :3
Either drag and drop from somewhere (Normally the forums but google images lets you do it as well)
OR
If you have something you drew, you have to go to a image hosting site like Imngar (Or something liek that XD) Or what I use, Postimage https://postimages.org/ You put her pic there then drag and drop. also, the smaller the pic the better because the forum Squishes stuff a LOT.
Hope this helps and welcome to the forum! :D
Hewwo! I hope you enjoy your time here! It's always great to see a new face!
Tip 1: Please don't get into drama threads, it gets tiring to see it all pop up XO
Tip 2: Don't spam click the post/reply button, that results in copies! :0
You'll need an image hosting site of some sort to post pictures here. That's a common thing that people end up asking about so I figure that counts as a tip. Copy and pasting into this site doesn't work. You need a URL for the picture and the tool behind the weird little painting icon in the comment toolbar. Also, this forum limits the height of images so if your image is too tall it will get squished. I don't remember the exact height limit but I try to resize to keep the height at around 300 and get wider rather then tall images so the over all picture is allowed to be bigger.
I think you can get a little bigger then that but I'm not sure where the exact cutoff is.
Anyway, hello.
A brand new forumer? Posting threads in the right subforum? I'm already impressed O:
You're already pretty much off to a great start.
Uhhh, when posting images, resize them to at most 400 pixels in height, otherwise they'll get smooshed.
Can't edit the first post of the thread you made, but you can edit the next posts you've made, as long as nobody replies to that particular post.
Find a good image hosting site to upload and share your images
Don't track threads unless you're really, really sure you want to track them. Because once you track a thread, you will never be able to utrack them for the rest of your foruming life.
Hi, great to meet you :D
I’m honestly surprised no one’s brought this one up yet, but when people say DO NOT REPLY TO THIS POST then use the big reply button on the bottom-left of the page and NOT the small one next to the ‘quote’ button on the bottom-right of the post. Then they can’t edit their post anymore, which is annoying especially if it’s an art thread or something.
Otherwise, stay out of drama and have fun! The community’s generally very nice here :)
Why were you ghosting the forums? We're not that bad, hahahaha. Or are we? udjfyhgjdsf
Welcome to the forums! Some lil' forum tips that can be handy:
- Be sure to post in the appropriate subforum and don't pick one at random. Doing the latter is spam and it just makes it hard for people to oversee stuff.
- Check the post dates of the most recent posts in threads to make sure you're not bumping something ancient.
(This forum lets people track threads they've posted in, but they cannot un-track threads. Ever.) - Don't scale your images in the forums too much, but resize an image before uploading it so you won't lag up threads. Scaling in the forums is not true resizing.
- On that note, be sure not to spam-post GIFs everywhere :þ (including your signature!) They lag everything up just as much as huge images do.
- If you want to reply to a thread, use the top/bottom left reply button. If you want to reply to a specific post within a thread, use the reply button at the bottom right of said post.
- Use a proper image hoster for uploads- aka, pleaaase don't use postimg, which doesn't work for a huge chunk of users. I recommend imgbb! You can also use the forum's file browser to upload your content.
- To track a thread, you must reply to it (Inconvenient, I know). To find your list of tracked threads, go to 'My account' and click the 'Track' tab.
- To quickly jump to a new reply in a thread, click the 'X new' text in the top right of a thread. This will only work for the first new post in a line of new posts, though. Ctrl+F is your friend for the rest.
I think that's all I can think of that others haven't mentioned yet.
Welcome to the forums! Hope you enjoy your time here with this lovely community. :)
:D Hello There Fellow Former Ghoster! Welcome to the forums! I hope you enjoy your stay! XD
As for general tips I think everyone else hes covered it. but I will let you know that right now many artists are doing art requests as of late! (bc covid is boring XD) I think Its totally worth it to check those out! (espescailly if you plan on building a siggy)
If you have some OC's that you want to play with there are also lots of RP threads open (i think I mean idk current status on those...) But anyway yeah welcome! May the Force be with you! :D
