Jut saying, this actually happened last month, but I never got a chance to post it until then. Please fix this. 

 

 

This is absolutely the last straw. How about you guys actually set up a password recovery system that works? As of now, what we have is, type in the proper email, proper username, press enter, and it just regurgitates it back up like some sick Flame Whipper.

 

EXACTLY what happened:

 

FIRST OF ALL, I GOT CHAT BANNED FOR A WEEK FOR SAYING SOMETHING THAT IS COMPLETELY APPROPRIATE, and, with all due respect to the chat team, SHOULD be allowed to be said. My best guess is 'hardcore', but I'm not entirely sure. The real thing that makes this inconvenient is that I was just talking with a group of people casually, and then I got banned for a week in the middle of a conversation, and had to flail my arms around and communicate with emoticons. Thank goodness for the :X face you can make. I’d be hopeless without it.

 

SECOND OF ALL, MY FRIEND TOLD ME TO FIX THIS BY GOING INTO THE MANAGE ACCOUNT SECTION. TO GET TO THE MANAGE ACCOUNT SECTION, YOU FIRST OFF NEED TO ENTER YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD. TWICE.

I entered my password the first time, and it was all good, and it let me in. THEN IT SAID, PLS RE ENTER YOUR PASSWORD, BECAUSE ONCE ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH.  I entered the exact same password, and it said, uh no no no, that's the wrong password. Sorry. I made aboslute sure that they were exactly the same. I spent one minute typing in an eight-digit password. It was 'wrong'.

 

Then I  tried to reset my password. I reset it, and all seemed good and well, but nope. I used the exact same new password provided for me in the email to get to the Manage Account section, and it said, Incorrect Password. PPPPFFFFTTTTTTTTTT *exasperated wheezing*

 

And you know how whenever you try to reset your password for the game, it logs you out of your account on the downloaded app for your PC? Well, I tried the new password to get into the game, and it failed. I tried my old password, and it failed, too. So, I tried to reset my password from inside the game, and would you guess what. The correct email is ‘incorrect.’ I am absolutely POSITIVE it is the correct email, I even went back and checked for the registration email, and sure enough, it was there. There is no possible way it is the wrong email. The account activation email is right there in the inbox, bro. It's the right email

 

School of Dragons staff, you had better have a good explanation for this. If not, then I don’t really care, just fix it. Here’s a review of what you need to fix:

 

-Banning innocent people on chat for extended durations of time

-Actually make sure that people can actually access the Manage Account tab, because I think it’s a pretty important tab that you need to be able to go to occasionally. cough

-Fix the reset password system for the website

-Fix the reset password system for the downloadable PC app

And also, if nobody replies to this within a certain amount of time, such as 24 hours, I'm going to personally go knock down Brynjolf's door and pm him to death with SOS messages

This happened to my last account. I forgot my password and did the whole "pass word" recovery thing. I never got the recovery password tho. So i abadoned the account. (Thx a lot admins : (
