((I'm so sorry. Again. For the umtenth time now. I feel so bad for how little I've been on lately. Life's just been so busy lately with school and Christmas just around the corner. Life's going too fast. (And don't worry, Fairy, you're not being pushy. I'm slow.)))

Bravehero

He shook his head at Aurora, smiling down at the ground. He muffled a laugh and looked back up at her, once again dazzled by how she looked. "What are you going to do? Tackle him?" He took another step towards the door. "I'll see you again at the coronation."

But just as he was about to open the doors, he looked back at Aurora. Her silvery-white scales looked magnificent. He gave her one more smile before he turned back to leave. But as soon as he made his way out, Icewings began flooding into the room holding decorations and other important things they might even need.

With a sad sigh, he continued his way down the next hallway. But as he was about to turn the corner, Sunrise appeared before him, her wings spanned to their fullest potential.

"Sunrise! What are you doing here?" He hissed at her. "Are you trying to get caught by someone!?!"

Frostburn

He watched as his teacher paced before him and the other dragonets. She looked at everyone one of them individually, looking down at their kills. They had to stop their hunt early for their queen had called a meeting while they were out and about and the teacher was to attend it. Which meant that no one had successfully caught their four caribou, which would let them sit next to the new queen.

"I'm very disappointed with all of you," she started, speaking soft but sternly. "Even with the little time you had only one of you even caught two," she gestured over to where his cousin, Summit, sat. "Even though no one shall deserve this, Summit will receive the pleasure of sitting next to Queen Aurora at her coronation tonight."

"No!" He shouted, sliding forward. Every head turned towards him, giving him glares. Even his own cousin seemed to disown him. It took only seconds to realize how strict the Icewings really were, and how much his kidnapping had changed him. Without another second, he slipped back into place, lowering his head to the ground. "Sorry."

The teacher glared at him, but continued her pace. "I'm going to get ready for tonight. I suggest you do the same," she said, and then flew off. Within seconds, everyone was scattered and he was left all alone, sitting on the lonely glacier. He let off a soft sigh and took off.

"What are you going to do? Tackle him?" Bravehero asked.

Aurora laughed, her eyes met his. The white of the palace against the black of his scales was eye-straining. The silver specks slong his wings looked to most like stars, to her, freshly fallen snow. Aurora verted eye contact.

"I'll see you again at the coronation." Bravehero vowed.

"Yeah." Aurora chuckled, almost not wanting him to go.

The instant Bravehero stepped out of the palae, Icewing servants came rushing in and began to prep and preen her. Aurora stood motionless, staring at the door.

Dang-nabbit!

She pushed herself through the Nightwing village, not bothering to keep herself concealed while she was amongst her own kind. From experience, she'd learned that whenever someone didn't recognize someone else that walked with confidence, they often didn't stop to ask who the dragon was. They always feared that it would make them look dumb, or something like that.

She pushed back the last Nightwing until she was at the edge of their village. She then pushed herself off the ground and lept into the treetops. Through the branches, she could estimate where the Rainwing queen was going. She then flew above the trees, keeping a sharp eye on them. Every turned they made she'd also make, except for the one where they turned left and she went right.

It wasted her precious time trying to locate where they were. She actually was about to find the Rainwing village before the queen and her guards. Then out of the corner of her eye, she saw the green and red Rainwing go inside a building, being followed by Queen Glory. As the queen closed the door, she made a sprint for then she was standing against a wall adjacent to the door.

For minutes she waited. She waited for the queen to exit the room, hopefully followed by the other Rainwing. Hopefully the queen would let the Rainwing go on his own. It would be then she would snap his neck into two.

Then it happened. The queen exited the hut and closed the door behind her. The female Nightwing didn't dare move a muscle. Not yet. The queen then barked a few orders to a few other Nightwings. She watched as all the Nightwings but one scattered the village, looking for her. The queen talked to the last Nightwing for a few moments before they took off together, heading east.

The female Nightwing was finally able to let go of her breath. She now knew that she was being hunted, but that didn't mean that she wouldn't finish her job. She stood up and began looking for a way in. She knew that she could use the front door, but that would be too noticable.

As she began looking at the back side of the building, a smile crept across her face. A small window was cut out of the plants that made the house. Vines covered it from the inside. She then began pulling them back and slipped inside.

Quetzal

He sat quickly in the daek, fiddling with his talons. It seemed like he'd been in here for hours, although he knew Glory had only left a few minutes ago. But sitting in a dark, lonely room made him sad inside. And lonely. Very lonely. When would Glory be back?

He began rocking his head side to side when a flash of light consumed the room. Before he could see what had done it, the curtain had already fallen back into place, leaving the room daek once again. He stood up from the cold floor and looked around.

"Hello?" He said. Nothing responded back towards him. He took a step towards the window, and heard someone else take a step only a second after him. "Who goes there!" He threatened again, more concerned than last time. But once again no one answered. He then quickly ran towards the window. Behind him he heard the pounding on feet. Then right before he got to the window, he purposely tumbled to the ground. A few seconds later, he heard a  yelp of distress, followed by the dragon tripping over him.

Without wasting a second, he popped off the ground and thrusted the window open. Laying beside him was his so-close-to-succeeding murderer. "I knew it!" He yelped, pointing down at the female Nightwing. "Who are you!?!"

A moan escaped the Nightwings mouth as she pushed herself up. Laying besides her was the knife in which he'd thought she dropped. He quickly doved for it and successfully grabbed it. He stood up and pointed it at her. "Who are you!?!" He asked again, his confidence slowly returning.

"I'm the dragon trying to ki,ll you! I thought that was obvious!" She shouted back, though must of her words were muffled.

"No! Like what's your name!?! I understand you're trying to murder me!" He spoke back, nudging the knife at her.

"What?" She answered back weakly.

"You know, what dragons call you. A name?" he repeated, getting slightly concerned.

"I don't understand," the Nightwing remarked, tilting her head as if she was slight intrigued. Quetzal looked down at her in disbelief.

"What do you know?" He asked, the knife falling to his side.

"That King Bloodtaster shall prevail and someday he will rule the land," she spoke, almost roboticly.

"Oh boy." Quetzal bit his lip. What had they done to this poor Nightwing? She knew how to murder someone but was never even given a name? He should help her. But she was also the one who almost murdered him...

He shoved the thought out of his head and approached the Nightwing, who cringed as he got close. "What are you doing?" He asked.

"Aren't you going to ki'll me?" She asked, as though there was no other answer.

It was then that nothing mattered anymore. He thrusted the knife across the room and put out his talon for her to grab. "I'm here to help," he answered, looking into her eyes. Fear radiated through them. The Nightwing didn't know what to think. But she put her into his and he pulled her off of the ground. "I'm Quetzal..." He started.

Aye-Aye

She looked down at the Seawing, debating on what she should do. A normal doctor would be kind and wait until the patient was fully healed before waking them up. But this was a Seawing, whom was taking up room in her already small hut. This place should have enough open room for then a Rainwing could come iN at anytime and get service.

This Seawing had to go. "Sloth, could you go get me some water?" She asked, looking over at her friend who was playing with her own sloth.

"Sure! But could you hold Dragon? I don't want him getting lost," Sloth spoke, hanging over her sloth. Aye-Aye sighed, but allowed the sloth to be placed over her neck. "Thanks! I'll be back in a few!" And with that, the Rainwing disappeared.

Aye-Aye rolled her eyes and walked over to the Seawing. Everything seemed fine besides the fact she had a few scratches. She plopped a few dashes of a gooey substance onto the wounds as Sloth came in holding a left that was holding water. "What should I do with it?" She asked.

Aye-Aye rubbed the remaining residents of the substance onto her scales and grabbed the leaf. "I got it," she responded. She walked over to the Seawing and tossed the water onto her face.

"Aye-Aye!- "Sloth started.

"Wake up sleeping beauty!" She finished, interrupting her friend.

Icewing Maids

One of the maids set down the ice scalpture she was holding and walked over to where the queen was standing. She bowed deeply before standing up and looked back at Aurora. "Shouldn't you be getting ready?" She asked, trying to see what she was looking at. "I'll send a few maids to help you if you need them."

((Figured I should give you an update on what's happening in the rainforest. Sorry it was a super giantanic post.))

Aurora jumped as she heard a sudden thud, a maid had just set out an ice sculpture.

"Shouldn't sure be getting ready? I'll send a few maids in to help, if you want."

'And be fussed over and preened until my scales turn red and fall off? No thank you!' She thought.

"Yeah, alright." She said.

Aurora sighed and allowed herself to be gudied back into the bathroom to get made up.. all over again.

Sunrise and Wavecrest

Bravehero hissed a warning at Sunrise. She rolled her eyes and pushed his snout out of her way.

"I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing," she hissed. She was tired of being kept out of the main action. And tired meant grumpy.

"The feast is going to start soon, and you should probably leave before a Icewing maids come in and start fussing over Aurora. Let's leave," She said, and grabbed her rock once more. Sunrise walked calmly out of the door just as several Icewing maids started rushing in. After the main amount of them, the went through the door and flew out of a window. A chance to enjoy the feeling of the cold Icewing land. Well it wasn't as bad as the desert, but she preferred her home most of all. Well she wasn't really sure if she had a home anymore.

Wavecrest felt cold water thrown in her face. She jumped, and rolled of the bed on which she was sitting on. Her wings hit the ground and she groaned.

"Who are you, where....," she looked around. A Rainwing hut. How did she get here? And wasn't that Quetzals friend, Aye Aye?

"Oh, hi. I didn't realize I had fainted. Is-is Quetzal okay?" She shuddered as finally the feeling of the cold water settled in her. She hoped Quetzal was okay. After all, the Nightwing could still be after him. And she didn't want to see her friend go.

"Where is Quetzal?" Wavecrest asked as she staggered up, grabbing the bed for support.

Bravehero

He listened to Sunrise's harsh words with a slightly confused look. Did Sunrise have a personality disorder of some kind? Half the time she was really nice and friendly and the other half she's like this. And it wasn't a small jump either. He was still thinking that as Sunrise became invisible and disappeared to some unknown part of the castle.

It took him a moment to realize she was gone before he had his full senses back. He looked around before beginning towards somewhere in which he would wait until the corination would start.

((Time Skip to the Corination))

The Icewing Maids

They left Aurora alone with herself a few minutes ago, leaving her time to do a few things before she would have to be back in the throne room. Now whoever wasn't doing anything that involved cooking was out here dusting or running around doing last minute prep. Ever corner of the throne room was sparkling, making everything look much cleaner than before.

Icewings now crowded every inch of the room. Some were speaking among each other. Others were in awe looking at the decorations in which were recently set up by fellow Icewings. Young Icewings were chasing each other around the room, careful not to hit anything.

The smell of food became overpowering as the cooks began placing food out on tables. Dragons began becoming hungry as piles of caribou were laid out before them. But no one moved an inch towards. For they could only do so when the queen directed them to. And the queen was the only thing missing in the picture.

Bravehero

He showed up as late as he could without being late. As he stepped into the throne room, he was overcome with a sense of fear. Literally everything in this room was bright white and bigger than him, even the strange ice sculptures that sat in obscure spots. He literally stuck out like a sore thumb.

As he walked inside, he was easily pushed around by the much larger dragons than him. Many of them looked down at him in disgust. Where in Pyrrhia was Sunrise!?! At least if she was here he wouldn't be the only freak here. Oh, and how he wished that Aurora would could in here faster. This place was starting to give him the chills.

Aye-Aye

She looked at the Seawing. "I don't know how Quetzal is! A bunch of Nightwings came in here and told me to make you well and give you water. In which I both did. No! I don't know how Quetzal is!" She looked down at the sad little Seawing. Why would she care about crazy Quetzal anyway. The only reason he was still here is because if they threw him out there would be complaints flying through the windows.

Queen Aurora of the IceWings

Aurora's scales were rubbed until they were raw, raw and glittering like a legitamte jewl. Not only that, blue diamonds and sapphires were tosses around her and then tampered with to hang perfectly. Aurora had spent years beign taught how to walk and standign there, with allt hose jewls seemed to bring back those memories. The famous IceWIng crown was already at the party, just waiting to be placed upon her head. It took every ounce of Queen Aurora's patience to stand there calmly and be pampered until her scales hurt. When she peered into the mirror, she felt as though she were looking at a completely different dragon. Aurora stared at her reflection for a bit then clsoed her eyes and sucke din a breath. She placed one foot in front of the other. She was quickly ushered out of the room and down the halls. Her mother always said to arrive later, but never too late, just late enough to make in entrance. Aurora had to be there to introduce Sunrise. She stood just outside of the greathall's massive double doors and took a deep breath. She had all of 5 seconds to recollect herself before the doors began to swing open. She schooled her features into a political smile, one that was taught to her when she could barely fly. Instantly, the room sileneced, all eyes turned to her in anticipation. Aurora swept into the room, positioning her wings just right and walking so the jewls reflected the light perfectly, this has what she had been taught to do all of her life and finally, she got the chance to do just that.

She walked into the room, lifting her neck at the exact required angle, not making eye-contact with anyone but at the same time, making it appear that she is lookinmg at everyone. Complicated stuff. The dragons cleared a way for her as she walked back, bowning their heads and kneeling before their new queen. Aurora, thought she'd feel nervous or excited but alls he felt was numbness. This was no longer her dream, Bravehero was her dream. Queen Aurura ascended the stairs and stood ontop of the podium. Usually, the Queen made a speech, offically introducing themselves as the new Queen and what they plan to do. Aurora was already speeched out. She remembered exactly how to properly contruct a political speech, get to the point, make it look easy, encourage them to your side, tell them what you are going to say befor eyou say it, then go for it. However, Aurora decided that to introduce herself as the bringer of a new era, she would not follow the traditions, it would put empathsis on her words.

Aurora gazed at the faces expantantly looking up at her. Traditonally, she'd make a speech, invite in any guests then recite the vowe and get crowned. Then she'd announce the feast and everyone would take their assigned seats, offer their corronation gifts and make political small talk the rest of the afternoon.

"I'm not here to kiss babies and flounce around the point just to make you like me. Quite frankly, most of you will depise me. I am here to make a change, and I know how much you fear change, don't try to deny it." Aurora said, short and sweet. "I expect you all to suck it up and embrace these changes."

Sunrise and Wavecrest

Sunrise had done something she probably shouldn't have done. Well, then again, how else would she look rich? And important. After all, she was just borrowing jewels from the Icewing treasury without asking! She would give them back! But oh, how nice she looked!

Sunrise had found the Icewing treasury by accident as she flew around the palace and kingdom. Guards were guarding it from all sides, so it must have been important. The key was being held on a necklace of the main guard, wearing one circle. Sunrise threw an ice crystal at a side of the wall, causing the guards to run over and see what the problem was. While they were doing that, she grabbed the necklace key without touching the Icewing, then quickly ran inside.

So many jewels! Mostly diamonds, but gold and silver and most types of precious gems there were!

She grabbed ruby earrings and bracelets of silver and gold. Also a bigger necklace with a variety of topaz, amethyst, ruby, and diamonds. Too bad there wasn't a crown in here for her.

The Icewing guards knew something was up when the key was missing. They threw open the unlocked door to see no one inside, and Sunrise lay across the floor so it would seem the jewels were there. The guards started looking around the room for someone or something worriedly. Then, Sunrise slipped out of the still open door and dropped the key to the floor, so it would seem like someone lost it. She then dashed out to a room with a mirror to adore her looks!

And now, the feast. Sunrise took of her necklace, and, looking magnificent, with jewels and gems on her, went strolling down the hall. Her pouch must have looked awkward with the gems, but that was fine. She couldn't part with her enchantments.

Sunrise saw no Icewings. They must be at the coronation. She walked to the entry hall and listened as Aurora began her speech. The new queen was going to announce the guests as well, and Sunrise hoped she was on that list. She could also feel Bravehero in the hall, and tried to let Aurora know through the necklace where she was.

Wavecrest took a step back and sat down on the bed. Talk about a grumpy Rainwing! But it was okay, maybe Aye Aye was feeling a bit under the weather.

"Well, thank you for taking care of me. I'll go search for Quetzal," Wavecrest said. She took a shaky step of the bed and out of the hut into the afternoon. Her wings were aching a bit, but she nevertheless started flying, searching for Quetzal. He could be in trouble somewhere!

"Quetzal! Quetzal! Where are you?" She called to the Rainwing village, flying over the tangled vines and branches.

Bleep!

Bravehero

The dragons grew silent as Aurora's presence filled the entire room. One by one, the Icewings around began bowing down, their wings spend out besides them. He followed their lead and went down with them, probably making all the Icewings around him nervous. As they all rose back up, Aurora began telling her speech. He had to muffle his laughter as Aurora finished up.

This was first time that he was fully able to look at Aurora in her new queenly glory. The jewels embedded in the crown shown wonderfully against Aurora's silvery scales. And the way she stood sent shivers down everyone's spine, like Aurora was watching them every second, judging them.

Everyone was now looking up at Aurora, awaiting her next orders.

Quetzal

...

"So what should would you like your name to be?" He asked the female Nightwing. He'd just spent the last ten minutes explaining to her the history of Pyrrhia and what had recently happening in the world. And lastly, he'd explained to her what a name was.

"Well lots of people referred to me as girl. Or you. A lot of times they called me a assassin," the Nightwing responded. She was now pacing the floor, thinking.

"Well... is there something else you'd like to be called. Like a word or a type of animal?" Quetzal asked her.

"I've always liked Carnage," the Nightwing responded.

"Don't you mean canary?" Quetzal asked. "You know, the bird?"

"No, Carnage. It's what theyd always it when lots of blood was she'd on a battlefield. I think it sounds pretty," the Nightwing said, looking off into a corner.

"Um... okay," he sponded. "Carnage it is! Now we should probably tell Glory that you don't mean me any harm..."  As he reached for the door, he heard the familiar voice from outside.

"Quetzal! Quetzal! Quetzal!" Wavecrest yelled from outside. Instinctively he fling open the door to see Wavecrest flying above.

"I'm down here!" He yelped from below.

Queen Aurora of the IceWings

As Aurora finished her speech, she felt Sunrise's impatice presence resonating from her necklace. She must introduce their guests. She stared across at everyone's expectant eyes and Aurora inhaled.

"Before we continue, I would like to welcome two guests to the palace. Sunrise, Ambassador to Queen Ruby herself and Bravehero, a symbol of peace." Aurora said with much bravado.

The two guests were to now walk down the rows of IceWings and take their spots in the front row, a row reserved especially for guests and high-ranking IceWings.

Bravehero

The room was silent as everyone watched Aurora. For a few moments she stood there silently. Then she took a deep breath and spoke, "Before we continue, I would like to welcome two guests to the palace. Sunrise, Ambassador to Queen Ruby herself and Bravehero, a symbol of peace."

He felt his thought run dry as his name spread through the many minds of the Icewings. Great. Now they'd judge him in every way possible. But at least Sunrise's name was on the mind of many as well. So at least he wouldn't have to stood alone in this new, judgemental environment.

He began to make his way towards the center aisle. He pushed his way through the first few Icewings and soon they began to make a small path. Now he stood in the middle and awaited for Sunrise to appear besides him. Once she would do so, they would walk up together.

((I'm gonna get this moving again. I'll change this post if any of you guys want to change anything. I just don't want this to die. Man. This must’ve been what it felt like when I wasn't on here for a week. Sorry you guys.))

Bravehero

A few seconds after he got to the middle of the isle, Sunrise came bursting through the two large doors. She was covered from head to tail in different types of jewelry, earrings, necklaces, tail rings, everything. It took him a few seconds to take in everything she was wearing. Where in the world did she find it all!?! She better of not used her magic to summon it all here. What. She still had that enchantment on here. She couldn't do anything that would benefit someone.

He stood frozen for awhile after she stood besides him. He shook himself out of the trance and began walking up with her. He tried to match her footing with his own but it proved difficult for their legs were different lengths. But he still tried to look as professional as he possibly could, keeping his head raised and shoulders back. He didn't need the Icewings knowing how pathetic he actually was or anything of that sort.

Soon they arrived at the front of the room in front of Aurora. Bravehero and Sunrise stopped in unison as they got to the queen of the Icewing. Bravehero bowed down to Aurora before arising. The more he could gain the trust of the Icewings the better. He looked up to Aurora and gave a slight nod.

((omg! Omg! Ooooooohhhhh a fairy dragon? This means... NEW DRSGON SPECIES.))

Aurora's eyes narrowed as Sunrise came through the door and fell in beside Bravehero. How in the world did she get all those gems? She couldn't of enchanted them because of her brace, the only the way she could of was if she...  Aurora froze, of she raided and stole from the IceWings. Aurora schooled her posture back into neutrality, this rose some conflicting ideas. Did she accuse Sunrise, her own friend of the theft  and make a new enemy but remain loyal to the tribe? That could start a war between them and the SkyWings. She'd have to confront sunrise personally. Aurora watched as they fell in time to the throne and bowed.

"We like to thank you for joining us, Bravehero, Ambassador Sunrise." Aurora smiled down upon them. "Your jewls look very nice on you." She smiled at Sunrise, her tone dripping with Poison.  Aurora turned to address the e crowd. "These two dragons will be joining us in the feast, they are guests w d should be treated as such. If any of you have an object please, speak now or forever hold your peace."

(Ack! I could've sworn I posted! Sorry for this whole mess! The new book looks awesome btw)

Sunrise smiled as she heard her name. Finally, true recognition. Finally being recognized for something good and not bad. She slowly made her way through the sea of Icewings to Bravehero, who was standing awkwardly in the middle. As soon as she joined him, they walked to the front of the throne room, where Auroras was waiting to formally introduce them.

Aurora's look was slightly startled when she saw Sunrise, but the Icewing quickly hid her emotions. Sunrise knew Aurora was suspicious. She would be in for it when the feast was over. But for now, trying to look formal, she raised her head high and allowed the dragons to judge her for a powerful character.

Yet Sunrise felt a little strange when Aurora complimented her jewels. The Queens voice was kind of dark and suspicious. She felt that somehow, Aurora didn't fully trust her anymore. She felt an urge to explain the reasoning behind her jewels, that she was just borrowing them for the night. But she held her tongue

"Thank you, your highness," was all she said.

Wavecrest heard Quetzal calling for her down below somewhere. Thank god he was okay! She flapped down and landed in front of a hut where she was certain she heard his voice. When she saw him, she smiled a shy smile. The Nightwing hadn't gotten him yet.

But just as she glanced around behind Quetzal, she saw a dark, familiar shadow. Inside, her voice was screaming.

'Quetzal' Wavecrest tried to stay calm.

'Run! Fly for your life! The Nightwing is right behind you!' Wavecrest thought at him through the necklace. He seemed so calm and unafriad. Wavecrest just stood there, not knowing whether to run for her life or help Quetzal escape.

((The new dragon is called a SilkWing! I'm too excited for the next book! Don't know if I can wait til this summer!))

Bravehero

"If anyone has any objections, speak now or forever hold your peace," Aurora spoke, sweeping a glance around the room. For a few seconds, time seemed to stand still. No one dared moved besides one Icewing who stepped up from the crowd. Everyone gasped. It was Prince Chill.

Bravehero recognized the first moment he stepped out of the crowd. The Icewing whom he tackled to pry information about the rings from. Now they stood in the same room together, barely 20 feet apart. The fearful voices from the surrounding Icewings began clogging up his head. There must've been the biggest group of dragons he'd seen since leaving Jade Mountain and his head felt as it was about to explode. But he refused to show it.

Once Chill was out of the crowd, all eyes were immediately set on him. Bravehero could feel the fear beginning to form inside of Chill's head. His eyes tilted back and his eyes began larger. "Nevrmnd..." He mummbled, stepping back into the crowd. But as Chill was about to take the last step, he stole a glare at him and Sunrise. He then shook his head and became part of the large blob.

No one else dared moved but Bravehero could still sense the hatred directed towards them. It was like a large bubble sitting at the surface of the water ready to blow at any given moment. One wrong movement here and the bubble would be blown.

Quetzal

He looked up at Wavecrest and gave a smile. But the thoughts flowing into his head made it slowly disapper. Lots of suggestions telling him to run away and hide. Wavecrest telling him to fly for his life. But why?

Carnage.

That was it. "WAVECREST!" He called up. "It's okay! Carnage is very misunderstood! Everything is alright!" To demonstrate even further he walked towards the Nightwing.

Queen Aurora of the IceWings

Silence, that was all Aurora heard, she was about to move on when a gasp rippled through the crowd. She watched with a neutral expression as Prince Chill rose from the crowd. The IceWings gathered began to whisper fearfully as all eyes were trained in Prince Chill. Queen Aurora noticed the instant regret in Chili's eyes in the widening of his eyes.

"Nevermind." He mumbled and stepped back.

Aurora ones better than to let her tribe fester in silence as all of that pushed down regrets would one day burst free in usually, a dramatic and destructive way.

"No, Prince Chill, I respect whatever concerns you may have. Please, speak them and you and I may be able to make amends for your comfort." She needed the dragons to know what kind of Queen she was going to be.

Prince Chill

His body went still as every eye came to focus on him. The queen had just asked him to finish his thought. The new queen, whom had hours ago had been his least favorite sibling. Regret storm through his body as Icewings began pushing him back into the open, leaving him exposed to the word as they crept back into their spots.

What should he do? He couldn't actually tell them what had happened between him and the Nightwing. He'd only told a few dragons the few weeks ago. Only Aurora, and Snowfall, and Lynx, and a few other random maids who always seemed to be around. And a few other random dragonets whom he'd always gloat to. But they were forced to listened to him. They didn't have a choice.

And now he was in front of half of the Icewing tribe. He had to make something up. "What if Aurora had never become queen," he blurted. Many Icewings gave him strange looks, but a speech began forming in his mind.

"No really. Think about. If Aurora had been kill'ed instead of Snowfall, the Skywing still would've came here, wouldn't she? And then what. A random Skywing in the Icewing territory. One who happened to have the ring. And we haven't seen Aurora in over two weeks now! How in Pyrrhia could she have gotten those rings! And that Skywing would've appeared as an intruder. Who are these dragons! And what are they here to do?"

He then turned to Aurora. "And why did you come back?"

Queen Aurora of the IceWings

"What if Aurora had never become queen?" Prince Chill blurted.

there were gasps but Aurora silenced them with a wave of her talons. She tilted her head. It was a question she had been asking herself since she became Queen.

 "Go on." She urged.

Chill grew silent. Queen Aurora silently cursed. She was hoping no one would notice. She smiled at his cleverness anyhow, masking her true emotions.

"Why did you come back anyways?" Prince Chill inquired.

The other IceWings seemed to be agreeing with him, realizing that it was odd.

"To answer that question, you must first know why I left in the first place." Aurora said smoothly . "I was at school when I received word of an IceWing going MIA. A member of the first circle no less. You can imagine how frustrated I felt when I learned that the only efforts of his recovery was half -baked search teams scouting the terriorty. at the time, I knew mother-" she cut off "Queen Glacier would never let me go out on my own to find this missing dragonet. She did not care about him, she only cared about herself and what bettered her." Aurora almost spat this. " So, I went anyway. I met some very interesting dragons along the way. " She nodded at Sunrise and Bravehero. "I came to understand that I had flawed, egotistical views on life and equality. I believed as most of you do that IceWings were just naturally superior towards every other Dragon species. Before I could complete my mission, mother found me. She forced me back here to "rehabilitate" me, teach me once again that working with a NightWing was punishable . The things she did to me. My friends broke me out of there, I snagged the rings on my way out and we renewed our search. After hours of searching, we discovered that the kidnappings weren't just happening in our tribe, but in every tribe. It was part of some larger conspiracy. With this knowledge, we quickly located the missing IceWing. I decided that it was my duty to return the IceWing back to where he belonged, which, was about when I learned that Queen Glacier had died and Darkstalker rose again. " the name sent a chill through the spines of the listening IceWings. "I also learned that my sister, Snowfall had inherited the throne and that she was planning to go to war with Darkstalker and his army of empowered NightWings. I knew that doing so would be slaughter for us, no matter how grand our armies, no Dragon would take on a bunch of super -powered nightwings. She was blissfully unaware of the danger lurking just behind the scenes and practically could care less about the return of a dragon. She was just like Glacier and did not care for anything other than her own well being. Truest me, I have no desire for the throne, Snowfall could have it all to herself but I knew that without the support of my Tribe, there was no chance I stood against my adversaries. I also knew that I had changed so much since my journey and that maybe, as Queen, I could make a difference. I could show my Tribe how to get off their self-esteem pedestal and open their eyes to the real world." Queen Aurora stated at Prince Chill. She had left some details out of the story but most of it was true. " Both Sunrise and Bravehero represent their kingdoms, they are a symbol of peace and equality. Still, the Dragon behind those kidnappings are out there and I tell you not to take this information lightly, you are aware of the threat that lurk behind the scenes, I do not know why they want the Dragonets of who they are exactly but I do know one thing, none of us, none of you or your dragonets are safe until they are stopped and they MUST be stopped. "

Sunrise and Wavecrest

Sunrise stood in front of Aurora listening. At first, no objections came up. Then, a single Icewing stepped up. It was Prince Chill. What did he want? Sunrise fixed him with a sort of small glare.

"Never mind," he said, then stepped back. Aurora looked at him curiously, and asked him to tell her what was bothering him. Icewing queens didn't do this. Aurora was really an exceptional Icewing.

"What if Aurora had never become queen?" He asked quietly. His mind was bubbling with things to say. Gasps filled the room. Sunrises was one of them.

"No really. Think about. If Aurora had been killed instead of Snowfall, the Skywing still would've come here, wouldn't she? And then what. A random Skywing in the Icewing territory. One who happened to have the ring. And we haven't seen Aurora in over two weeks now! How in Pyrrhia could she have gotten those rings! And that Skywing would've appeared as an intruder. To make him forget all the reason for this!

"And why did you come back?" He asked Aurora. Well, that was easy. To become queen!

To answer that question, you must first know why I left in the first place." Aurora said calmly . "I was at school when I received word of an IceWing going missing. Aurora said. Sunrise nodded. It was quite true. Except she wanted to be known as a high ranking dragon, not for who she really was. She held her head high, daring any dragon to question her.

'Bravehero, I don't think these dragons like us,' she thought to him through her mind.

Wavecrest was frozen with fear as Quetzal walked up to the Nightwing. Hadn't Carnage been what Quetzal called her? Carnage didn't sound like a nice name.

"Quetzal, what did she do to you? Don't trust her, please!" Wavecrest whispered. Although, the Nightwing did look kind of meek and scared.

"Carnage you say?" Wavecrest said. The Nightwing hadn't hurt Quetzal yet. So maybe the Nightwing could be trusted.

Bravehero

He stared at Chill with hatred as his exclamation was spoken. The parts that had anything to do with Aurora been in untrustworthy made him want to rip Chill's throat out of his neck. It was like Chill wanted to make the entire tribe dislike Aurora. But even then, there wasn't another option to become queen. Glacier and Snowfall were now both deceased. Icicle. He didn't even know where she was. Probably locked up in a madhouse soemwhere. There was only Aurora left.

But then Aurora started to explain their side of the story. She been stolen by her mother and them having to help break her up, finding the Icewing dragonet, and parts of the undercover Nightwing society. Most of the Icewings stood listening, but some weren't even listening to the slightest word she said. Those dragons were already convicted that Aurora was here to enslave them.

But as Aurora finished her story off, some of the Icewings were beginning to see what was going on. 'I don't think they really like us," Sunrise mind messaged her.

'Ha! I think it's more than dislike,' he sent back to her. 'But I think some are listening to her.'

"So you came back to ask us to fight off a jumbo army of evil dragons to steal dragonets for fun?" Someone said in the crowd. It was no surprise when everyone realized it was Chill. "Wouldn't that just lead us into a different war? Once again with the Nightwings? How do we know that he isn't in aliance with the enemy?"

Quetzal

He smiled as Wavecrest joined them down on the ground. "It was Carnage, right?" Wavecrest wiry asked the Nightwing.

"Um, yeah," Carnage responded. "I've always thought that name was pretty." Carnage then began looking off into the distance, but then was quickly snapped back to them. "What your name?"

"No Chill." Aurora sighed. "I came back to make a difference. How do I know Bravehero isn't in alliance with the enemy? How do I know you aren't in alliance with the enemy." Aurora shot back. "How do I know dead dragons wont rise again tommorrow and take over the land? How do I know some Animus won't obliverate the world? How do I know that all the dragonets won't rise up tommorow and eat all the sweets in Pyrriha?" Aurora continued, making a few dragons snort. "I don't." Aurora stared down at him. "Am I to assume that you know everything in the world so tell us, O' Great Wise One, what is Bravehero's motive for helping us to rescue the stolen dragonets if he were working with them?"

Prince Chill

"O Great Wise One, then what would be Bravehero motive for rescuing the dragonets if he was on their side?" Aurora sarcastically spoke to him. He could now tell that more of the Icewings were on her side than his. His numbers had drastically gone down by over 50 percent.

"I don't know... backstab maybe? Imagine if he was, for say, still on their side. I know that it would be backwards for him to rescue the dragonets, but look where he is now! Standing inside his worst enemy's palace wearing a ring that allows him not to die. I think that overwrites a few dragonets," he finished, smirking at Aurora.

He stole a look over at the Nightwing. His black tail flicked back and forth angerly and his eyes were fixed on him. Chill could almost sense the anger vibrating off of him, aimed towards him.

"The ring doesn't make him immortal, just immume to the cold here. Yes, the trouble he can cause, surrounded by hundreds of dragons twice his size." Aurora replied calmly.

(Wooh! Happy 1 year birthday Forgotten! You have survived one year, and let's make it many more!)

Sunrise nodded back at Bravehero.

'Calm and cold face,' she thought back and forth in her mind. She wouldn't let her emotions overpower her right now. Chill continued being smart and saying smart and annoying things. About a war, how this could hurt the Icewings, blah blah blah.

But Sunrise flinched when Aurora said something about an animus destroying them. She felt as if the comment was directed at her and the things she did. Well, she had good reasons for doing what she did, didn't she?

Chill said that Bravehero could be backstabbing them and working for the bad organization. It wasn't like that! If it was like that, Aurora would have killed Bravehero a long time ago. But Aurora always seemed to have a cool and calm response. Oh how she envied her! The ability to remain calm in such situations.

Sunrise regarded all the curious Icewings who looked at her with a solid glare. They were looking at her differently, suspiciously, but that was nothing compared to how they were looking at Bravehero.

"What's your name?" Carnage asked. The Nightwing, now that Wavecrest looked at her closer, seemed almost kind. Young sparkling eyes, the almost scared face at confronting Wavecrest again.

"I'm Wavecrest," Wavecrest answered.

"Um, can I ask, why were you chasing us?" She asked, looking Carnage right in the eyes. If she was to be trusted, she would answer. If not, well, they couldn't trust her.

((I would've posted earlier but I've been sick all today. But, yeah. HAPPY 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY! THANK YOU FOR STICK ING WITH ME GUYS!))

Bravehero

Okay. What in the world was with this guy? Pessimistic much? Did he really have to state every single thing that could go wrong in this situation? If he could just...

'Stay calm and cool face,'  Sunrise sent over to him. But how- But why- No she was right. He did not need to blow their cover by acting to the situation badly. He heeded her advice and took a deep breath in. This was going to end soon. One way or another.

Prince Chill

"That-- That is a good point," he whispered to himself, probably sounding like the dum'best Icewing in the room this. This was so not what he covered in training! Even what they did cover he was blowing it! He should've never tried to misjudge the princes- I mean queen.

Then something struck him. "What if he's hidden one of the bomb things that blew up Jade Mountain a few weeks ago. Then his size wouldn't matter! It would be his ability to manipulate fire that would! Same with the Skywing!" He smiled wildly, probably beginning the first stage of becoming a manic.

Carnage

"Nice to meet you, Wavecrest," she responded back. But her sentence was cut short when the Seawing began another of her own.

"So why were chasing us?" The blue dragon asked, looking her directly into her eyes. Carnage felt something in heart snap. She couldn't quite identify it, but it was the same feeling that she had felt multiple times before back at the Nightwing fort.

"Well, I was chasing you because that what the King declared me to do. He said that it was very important that you two were ki'lled because he saw you two as threats. Not the Rainwing, but you," she gestured at Wavecrest. "Anything else you want to rip out of me body?" She snapped at them.

"What if he's hidden one of the bomb things that blew up Jade Mountain a few weeks ago. Then his size wouldn't matter! It would be his ability to manipulate fire that would! Same with the Skywing!" Chill grinned creepily. Aurora looked at him curiously.

Then she laughed. "Are you okay?" She asked, concern flickering across her face. " you look like YOUR the one planning to kill someone. " Queen Aurora stated.Ligeia

"Look around you! " She exclaimed, throwing up her wings. "You have to set fire to the bombs to blow them up. Don't you think it would be the least suspicious to see someone breathing fire in a palace primarily made of ice. Besides, I've been with them for the past few days, the only time they could of obtained this Cactus is during my battle with Snowfall. They would of had to of flown all the way to the Sky Kingdom, picked up the cactus then of flown all the way back over the course of an hour. Unless, you are suggesting that I am working with the Kidnappers."

Aurora's voice tighetened, a clear the threat was cleverly concealed behind those calm words. She took Chili's words and twisted them just enough to make it seem like he was the bad guy, and it worked. The IceWings shifted uncomfortably and whispered anxiously, eyeing Chill.

"are you? " Aurora asked.

Prince Chill

"Are you?" Aurora eyed him.

"What! Of course not Princess, I mean, Queen Aurora. Why in Pyrrhia would your own brother think you were working for the enemy. It's not like you were my least favorite siblings or anything. Snowfall was obviously the worst when it came to her complaining! You were way better than her in many means! Not that that is important to anything!..."

The gasps of Icewings echoed around the room. "Wait! No! It's not like that!" He pleaded. Fear filled his eyes as he looked around the room with extreme speed, twisting his body around in unnatural ways. No one appeared to believe him even the slightest.

"What! Of course not Princess, I mean, Queen Aurora."

"He doesn't see her as a proper queen! " Aurora heard an older IceWing whisper.

"Why in Pyrrhia would your own brother think you were working for the enemy. It's not like you were my least favorite siblings or anything. Snowfall was obviously the worst when it came to her complaining! You were way better than her in many means! Not that that is important to anything!..."

"I see." Aurora stated dangerously .

"Wait! No! It's not like that!" Prince Chill panicked.

"Thats just what a traitor would say!" Another IceWing challenged.

other IceWings chimed in, gasping and agreeing with the one who spoke up. Aurora  maintained a neutral face to keep from smirking. A few started to accuse him of being a traitor and counting their Queen, Aurora let this go on for a bit, letting the reality of his words sink into Chill's head. Then, she spread her wings and the room quited down instantaneously.

"I am sure that Pince," she exaggerated the word 'prince', "Chill was just trying to look out for his tribe." Aurora said regally. " Thank you for your concerns Chill, I will take them into consideration. "

Her plan at worked. This was exactly something she had seen her mother do countless times. Find a scapegoat, twist their words so they sounded traitorous then, act all Queenly, then benevolently pardon them, showing her kingdom that she "cared" for her subjects, making them idolize her more and "save" the scapegoat from a potentially disastrous figure making them greatful towards her and less likely to act out again. There were a few things that were never taught in classes that Aurora picked up all on her on.

(I'm so sorry! My wifi timed out so I couldn't post until now)

The conversation between Aurora and Chill continued. Chill seemed to grow more and more nervous, and more Icewings sided with Aurora. Well, then again, she was the queen, so who couldn't?

"What! Of course not princess- I mean, Queen Aurora!" Chill said, stuttering. Sunrise eyed him with hatred and fury. Let him stutter. Let the Icewings make fun of him.

Yet, even though Icewings everywhere were freaking out, Aurora still answered calmly.

"I'm sure Prince Chill was just looking out for his tribe," Aurora said. She eyed the room, clearly using some old queen technique. None of the Icewings seemed to think against her now.

Sunrise stood quietly, her anger and fury against Chill slowly fading as other Icewings looked at him with anger. Now that this was out of the way, Sunrises stomach was starting to rumble.

'Let's get to the feast,' Sunrise mentally said to Bravehero. She looked up at Aurora with begging eyes, as this was getting boring. Why couldn't she just make her speech already?

Carnage replied with anger and annoyance.

"Well, I was chasing you because that what the King declared me to do. He said that it was very important that you two were killed because he saw you two as threats. Not the Rainwing, but you," she gestured at Wavecrest. "Anything else you want to rip out of my body?" She snapped. Wavecrest was shocked for a moment. So she was officially a target of the King Bloodtaster.

"Nope, I think that's all. Well, thank you for letting me know," Wavecrest stuttered a little.

'Quetzal, we need to get closer to the Ice Kingdom as soon as possible. I hope we will be safe there,' Wavecrest thought mentally.

((Sorry I wasn't able to post sooner. It went from sickness to finals at school to baby sitting baby cousin. Time flies when ones busy. ))

((And of course you could slip in a side character! I'd say as if right now it would be easiest to squeeze in a Rainwing or Nightwing. I'm not sure how'd you'd like to slip em in. Anyway is fine with me! ))

Bravehero

He held in a silent smile as he saw Chill's own tribe turn against him. It was probably horrifying for the rest of the Icewings, but wow it was funny seeing it from his point of view. But the mumble jumble of thoughts in Chill's head was just as bad to listen to. But most of the thoughts were about hiding in some weird corner of the castle and never leaving it.

But Chill didn't oblige to his thoughts. He gave an off smile before stepping back into the crowd, though you could still tell where he was because everyone else stepped away from him. But the room quickly fell into silence as the havoc subsided.

Everyone's eyes were now set on Aurora. Most looking for guidance. Others looking for a chance to break the ice. But he and Sunrise, they both wanted just to relax. Be able to take a breath of air without half the room staring at them. That. That would be wonderful.

Quetzal

He listened to Wavecrest as suggested that they should get closer to the Ice Kingdom. He nodded along as she finished up. 'Yeah. I think that that would be a good idea. Maybe-"

"Why are you guys so weird?" Carnage spoke, interrupting his thought. He hadn't realized this before, but Carnage was looking directly at him with intense eyes. That was, well, weird.

"What's weird?" He asked, trying to be completely casual.

"Most dragons don't look at each other and nod their heads as if that's completely normal. It's just not right. So I don't know if you both are demented or what, but I feel if I'm not the only one hiding secrets," Carnage questioned, looking them both in the eye.

"WHAT!?!" Quetzal said, over sarcastically. "Why would we be hiding something! We have nothing to hide!" He looked over at Wavecrest to back him up. He smiled back at Carnage and nodded again.

"So are so bad at this," Carnage said bluntly, sitting down.

Queen Aurora of the IceWings

Aurora watched as Chill relented, he took a step back into the crowd and Queen Aurora almost sighed with releif. She displayed a placid frown when the IceWings scuffled away from Chill. Chill looked like he wanted to go hide in some remote corner and never come back. Aurora would want to as well if she were him. However, it's what he deserved, especially considering he had pushed her boundaries too far and crossed that fine line between expressing a concern and challenging the Queen. Aurora noticed to her horror as all eyes returned to her, looking up at her with hoprful, respect-filled faces. Looking to HER for guidance. There once was a time when Aurora would of spread her wings and flourished in the states but nie.... Now she wanted to shrink away, run away and love happily in some small cottage with Bravehero. Maybe even a dragonet of two. No. She couldn't think about tnat. Not now anyway. From the necklace, she felt Sunrise's impatience and Braveherk's fatigue.

"We have been dallying long enough." Aurora raised her wingtips at the announcement" the food will get cold. Let the feast begin! "

IceWings began to turn and take their strictly assigned seats all g the huge banquet table, makes brought out silver platter after silver platter of food and treats, filling the table. Bravehero and Sunrise had the guest seats, directly to the right of Aurora, the seat in Aurora's left was usually filled by the lucky dragonet who placed top in training. But, she did not want some snobby dragonet trying to impress her.

"Frostburn!" Aurora called, searching for the dragon.

mine of the IceWings touched their food. They would wait until everyone was seated and Aurora took the first bite.

Bravehero

He sighed with relief as Aurora declared everyone to find their seats. He and Sunrise both sat to the right of Aurora. Bravehero allowed Sunrise to pick which spot she wanted before sitting down in the one left open. He could still hear the voices scrambling around him. They were still complaining about Chill and himself, or about how empty their stomachs were. But overall, most everyone seemed to happy to take their seats.

Comparing everyine seats, Aurora's was far fancier than most everyone else's chair. Here's sat higher up and had precise  designs carved into the side. Theirs were slightly more unique, them sitting in chairs made for special guests. Some of the seats made for the other members of the royal family were made looking nicer as well.

Bravehero looked around the table to see if he could spot some other of Aurora's family. Chill was the easiest to spot, considering it was the only one he knew. He seemed to try to be sitting up, but he was also pushing himself down, trying to sink in. But besides him, Bravehero couldn't pick out another.

But what if there were no more. Icicle, Winter, Snowfall, and Glacier were all able to unattend for one reason or another. And who knows if Aurora's father was still alive, or here for the matter of fact. It would be pointless to look. He had no idea what anyone looked like. He'd have to ask Aurora later.

While plates upon plates of food were being brought out, he overheard Aurora shouting Frostburn's name. A few mumurs were sent through the room before Frostburn stood up from the crowd and walked towards Aurora. From the looks of it, he'd had a rough start. His wings drooped slightly downwards and his tail dragged lazily behind him.  He then lipply bowed before his new queen before standing upright again. "Yes, Queen Aurora?" He asked, looking up at her.

Queen Aurora of the IceWings

((I'll admit that I haven't been reading the other groups for so, why is happening?))

Aurora heard the IceWings grouchy exchange of words. She had to start the meal soon but, she had one thing to do first.

 "He's Queen Aurora?"

Frostburn Hurried up to her, his wings were slouchedand he carried a resigned expression on his face. No his a dragon of his class should took.

"Stop slouching." She muttered at him then smiled. " Sit, please. " she saved a talon to the empty chair to her lerft, she broadcasted this for everyone.

There were fee startled whispers since this was not tradition, Aurora did not care. She waited for Frostburg to take a seat next to her and for everyone to call silent, looking at her, before she took the first bite. A delious and fatty slice of caribu. Most dragons cook theorems to eat but since IceWings don't have fire, cooked meat is a rare specialty. Everyone else began to dig into the food, making their own conversation.

Frostburn

"Stop slouching," Aurora told him, as he stood up from bowing. Like upon command, his back arched downwards as he pushed his shoulders back and raised his head. He instantly felt himself become a few inches taller. He felt as if he had more power now, as if him looking stronger made him stronger. And not everyone was personally called up by the queen.

"Sit down besides me," Aurora then told him, guestering to the seat besides her. Though every muscle in his body told him to speak up for his cousin, he nodding at his queen and sat down to her left. A few moments later, Aurora sat down in her fancy chair and grabbed a large chunk of caribou from the table.

As she took the first bite of it, dragons around the room excitedly grabbed their food and began eating. Noise began to fill the room as they started conversations with one another. Frostburn grabbed a small piece of flesh and took a bite out of it before setting it back down on his plate. For some reason, he didn't feel like he had an appetite.

Bravehero

He allowed his shoulders to slump as dragons began focusing onto the food before them. He looked down at his plate and stared at the cold piece of flesh on it. He looked down at it but didn't pick it up. Instead up looked over at Aurora.

"You did amazing," he told her, cracking a small smile. "I don't think I've heard a better speech given by anyone before."

((That's okay, I'll catch you up. Could you give me a place that you stopped reading Quetzal’s/Wavecrest's PoVs for then I don't accidentally explain things you've already read?))

Queen Aurora of The IceWings

((Last thing I read, they were being stalked by a NightWi by assassin.))

((didn't Frostbur Frostburn have something to say to Aurora?))

Aurora was glad that the attention was finally off of her. It was all she could do to prevent from slumping right then and there. She wanted to lock herself in her room and never come ouourt. Her alone. Then, she reconsidered. She wouldn't mind having the NightWing directly across from her as company. She sighed at the thoug thought, still, this war wasn't over and nonoew, she had the IceWings on her side. Once everything was said and done, she would apoint someone to take over her duties and hand select the most open minded IceWings to journey with her and stop the kidnapping once and for all.

"You did amazing," Bravehero told her, cracking a small smile. "I don't think I've heard a better speech given by anyone before."

Aurora looked ooveoover at the NightWing wistfully. She offered him a weak smile.

"Being Queen is totally not what I expected." She groaned quietly.

Underneath the table her tail "accidentally" slid over Bravehero's. She hid a smirk as she picked at the food  on her plate.

Aurora took a good look around the room, then finally said something.

"We have been delaying long enough. The food will get cold. Let the feast begin!" Aurora announced, her glory spilling of of her as she pulled out her wings. Yet there was a look in her eye, one of almost sadness, longing for something. Well, they would talk later.

Now Sunrise made her way over to the large banquet table, set for the different ranked Icewings. The ones of the highest rank say nearer to the queen. The lower ranked dragons sat farther away.

Sunrise was beginning to realize how much Icewing culture depended on their rank. The dragons with a higher rank held their head high, were typically served first, and could order around other dragons. Lower ranked dragons had to look meek, and often didn't receive the best type of food. If Skywing culture depended on that, Sunrise would be more than just an outsider - she would be thrown out!

Sunrise made her way over to the guest seat. It was made of ice, but sculpted very nicely, with good skill and a different design pattern than those for most of the other Icewings. Aurora had the absolute seat though, above everyone else, it was more of a throne than a seat.

Aurora, as everyone took their seats, called out across the table.

"Frostburn!" She called. Frostburn looked up from across the room. Aurora pointed to the seat next to her, the one on the other side of her. Icewings everywhere gasped. A murmuring started for a minute, but then everyone quieted down. Why? Why did they get so worried when Aurora called for Frostburn to sit next to her? How many Icewing rules were there?

Sunrise looked as she was served food, then everyone waited in silence as Aurora took the first bite. No one else dared as she was the queen.

After she swallowed her caribou, everyone else started eating. The noise of small talk filled the room. Sunrise started eating the food. She did it carefully and tried to copy the Icewings. The meat tasted a little strange. It was a dainty, light taste, and it was pretty good, though she still preferred hawk and goat.

She ate about half the piece of meat before turning to Bravehero, who was seated between her and Aurora.

Bravehero and Aurora had started to talk about the speech and what it was like being queen. Aurora was talking quietly to Bravehero, a silent complaint behind her words. She regretted being queen. But there was no escape from it now.

"Life isn't ever what you expect. But if Snowfall could handle being queen, you should too," Sunrise said to Aurora quietly. She was trying to be nice and supporting, but she just couldn't think of what to say.

No Icewings really seemed to be paying attention to the queen, talking amongst each other. How strange Icewings were! They were all proper, and there was always the feeling of discomfort when you talked to someone. Their sense of humor was so different, Sunrise felt it very hard to just talk about stuff with these dragons. Someone was always better than you, it seemed. You could never just get up on the table and burn your food when you throw it into the air in this place. No laughing like crazy, singing, or dancing, except maybe slow dancing. Sunrise never really had friends, but Skywings were never afraid to do silly stuff. She never felt as much discomfort there as here. Oh, how she wished to be in the Sky Kingdom!

Wavecrest listened to Quetzals reply. She imagined a picture of the icy cliffs they had been near when they flew up to the Ice Kingdom. That seemed like forever ago....

"Why are you guys so weird?" Carnage asked, interrupting her thought. Wavecrest jumped at the sharpness of her voice. Quetzal tried to act casual, but was failing. Carnage looked them both in the eyes, and Wavecrest tried to maintain a calm face, although she felt like she was about to break away.

"You're so bad at this," Carnage replied to Quetzals remarks.

"Well, we are two different dragons who were sent to an academy for different dragon species. Of course we are weird," Wavecrest answered.

"We understand each other," She added. Poor Carnage probably never had a dragon to understand her before.

She hoped her explanation was more casual than Quetzals. She tried to use a calm tone of voice, not all sarcastic like his.

"We are two weird dragons! Do you want to be weird with us?" Wavecrest asked. It was a question only she would ask. It meant, do you want to be our friend?

Bravehero

He nodded along as Aurora declared her to him and Sunrise, telling them about her doubts of becoming queen. She ended with a silent smile and he felt her tail slide on top of his own. He let a small smile slip out before letting his tail squeeze her's the tiniest bit. He wanted so many things in this moment. He wanted to lock himself and Aurora into a room, just the two of them. He wanted to comfort Aurora by telling her all of his doubts and fears that he himself had. He wanted to make her feel like this was the right thing and that she had made the correct choice.

But, atlast, he couldn't. He couldn't be a magical genie that could bring Aurora peace and comfort. He couldn't always be that escape rope that would allow them to instantly leave any bad situation that may come across them. And he couldn't be the peaceful dove that would allow Aurora to feel safe at home.

He squeezed Aurora's tail a little tighter and looked over at her. "You gave it your best," he spoke softly. "All that truly matters is that you've safe. And alive. With blood flowing throughout your veins. Beyond that, everything else is just optional."

Frostburn

He stared down at his food uncomfortably for a few seconds, his wings loosely set along his body. He picked at a little bit of caribou with his claws. Where was Summit now sitting? Now that he'd taken her spot. Why did Aurora want him to sit up by her anyways? Was there a reason? Was the reason for him to be able to speak with her? But what if it wasn't?

But what if it was?

Within a moment's pause, he was sitting upright, like her lefthand soldier. He turned in her direction and spoke in a full voice, "I was wondering if I could speak with you for a few moments, Queen Aurora."

He wondered if he sounded like an idiot, asking her like this. He then even felt even more humiliated now that he knew that she'd been talking to Bravehero. Ugg. Why did he have to be so bad a dragon interaction? Maybe he should just go lock himself in a really dank, dark cave with even anchovies to last him for the rest of his life...

Carnage

"Would you like to be weird with us?" Wavecrest asked he suddenly. Carnage bent her head backwards a little bit, in disgust. What kind of sick question was that? What in Pyrrhia did that mean?

"Ohh! That was a good one!" Quetzal whispered, loud enough for any dragon within ten feet of them could hear. Carnage even sighed in disappointment of the dimwitted Rainwing. That serves them right for growing up taking classes on how to sleep better.

"What in the world do you mean by that?" She snapped at them. "Being weird with you two? Is that some kind of joke? Noooo. You're going to drag me into a air locked room and drag the smartest out of my head until I become one of you! Don't turn me into a dimwitted Rainwing!!!!!"  She plead, getting several glares from surrounding Rainwings.

((Ok, I'll try to catch you up the best I can. After the female Nightwing was stalking them, she finally decided to ambush Quetzal when they took a rest break to do something. Of course, the Nightwing missed and Quetzal went into panic mode. Wavecrest distracted the Nightwing, allowing Quetzal to fly to the Rainwing village. There, he found Glory and told her that he almost got murdered. Glory sent out search parties for the Nightwing and locked Quetzal in a room where she questioned him.

Meanwhile, Wavecrest was being chased by the Nightwing. She was able to out fly the Seawing and made it to the Rainwing village as well. She spoke as much information as she could before she collapsed in the middle of the town from exhaustion. She was then brought to the hospital where Aye-Aye took care of her.

Now as Quetzal sat in the little room after Glory questioned him, the Nightwing snuck into the town and found the same building. She snuck into a window and was in the room with Quetzal, where she once again tried to kill him. Although she missed several times and ended up dropping the knife. Quetzal then grabbed it and questioned the Nightwing. He asked her what her name was and realized that she had been treated like an animal. He then walked her through simple things like names, the queena, etc...

Meanwhile, Wavecrest was awoken by Aye-Aye throwing water into her face. Wavecrest then pin pointed where Quetzal was and flew to him. She freaked out when she saw Quetzal standing with the female Nightwing, by Quetzal calmed her down. They then picked out a name for the female Nightwing, Carnage, and since them have been talking about small things. Currently, Wavecrest just asked Carnage if she wanted to be friends with them

And I think that's it. I might get missed a few things but that's the highlights. I don't really care if you throw in another character for then you can get into this pov more. Since Quetzal talks loud, you could probably have a dragon overhear them talking and tries to figure out what is going on. It's up to you. Hope that helped!))

Bravehero looked up at her with a slight smirk, his eyes filled with longing. Aurora gazed back at him in the same way, but briefly, she couldnt let and IceWing see.

"You gave it your best," Bravehero murmured. "All that truly matters is that you've safe. And alive. With blood flowing throughout your veins. Beyond that, everything else is just optional."

Aurora laughed softly, it was the first actual, genuine sound that came out of her all evening.

She was about to reply when;

"I was wondering if I could speak with you for a few moments, Queen Aurora."

Aurora looked twoards Frostburn, her tail did not come unhooked from Bravehero's she rathered enjoyed the warmth of his scales in contrast to her cold ones. Frostburn looked as though he regretted ever opening his mouth.

"Yes Frostburn?" Aurora asked pensivly.

She wanted him to feel as though she were open to him, she wanted all of her tribe to feel that way. It would make this being-queen-thing signifigantly eaiser.

"Deep in the jungle;

Under the Cypress;

A whispering willow;

and a sun-warmed pillow.

A land filled with beauty, yet curious mystery;

a strange song through the still night

calls out your light."

Lyre sang softly to herself as she picked her way around the slumbering forms of the RainWings. Her voice was truly enchanting, such as the flower and musical instrument she was named after.

"Deep in the jungle;

where wing beats soften;

lies a nest, with two young robins"

A rainwing stirred soundly in his sleep. Night was falling and the moon was glinting over the horizon. Lyre reduce her singing to humming, she drifted on the air for a few seconds before landing on the main sunning platform and splayed out beneath the moonlight.

" Don't turn me into a dimwitted Rainwing!!!!!"

The vocie was crystal clear in the falling night. Lyre looked up slightly annoyed. She cut off her song, glaring ath the location of the voice. How dare it interrupt her singing! Lyre turned to the moonlight, her eyes glazed slightly, as if possessed, Lyre began to meander over to the hut, giggling softly.

((Lyre. XD I made up the soong.))

((i even have a tune for it.  Wish there was a way toshow it to you ))

((What wouldhappen to ä rainwing who suns hersef in the moonlight instead of sunlight?  What would happen to her scales?))

Frostburn

"Yes, Frostburn?" Aurora asked him positively, turning in his direction.

He swallowed hard and took a deep breath. "After I got back, with you, of course, my teacher dropped me to the lowest ranking possible, even below the dragonets. And I was wondering if you could possibly talk to her, since I was held against my will while be kidnapped and I couldn't help that I wasn't present in my classes because I was stuck in the Mudwing Kingdom. I was wondering if you could do that for me?"

He held his breath as he waited for her to answer. What would she say. Hopefully it would be a yes, since she knew personally how bad he was being treated. But that still didn't help his nerves any more or less.

Quetzal

He felt slightly affended by Carnage's harsh words that disapproved of his tribe. They were not dim! Some were just less intelligent than others. But he knew of a few stupi'd dragons in the other tribes. Like a few Mudwings. Those guys were kinda slow...

Then somewhere behind him he heard a soft, ghost-like giggle emerged from nowhere. It didn't appear that Wavecrest or Carnage had heard anything, but growing up in a forest full of creatures, some posionous, you hear small noises.

He spun around quickly and his scales turned bright and alerting colors. His frills then spread open to their full length and his eyes searched for movement through the treelines. "Who goes there!" He yelped, opening his wings. He looked around and grabbed a thin stick as a weapon in case things got ugly.

Semingly nervous, Frostburn gulped down a breath of . Aurora bit back a peal of laughter at the struggling IceWing.

I was 7 if you could do that for me?"

Frostburn regarded her nervously.

"Hmph. Well that hardly seems fair." Aurora decreed.

She exchanged an amused look with Bravehero before clearing her throat loudly. The dragons at the surrounding tables quieted.

"Mmm. Yes, i just inturrupted you, get used to it." Aurora scowled at the repulsed expressions. "Now, I was just informed that a dragonet was just misplaced in his classes, being placed into the lower circles! I am sure that tragic error was just that and have enough confidence in you to be working on solving the issue immediately. " she mused, fixing Frostburn 's teacher with a pointed stare.

She did not mention Frostburn by name as she did not want to express any favoritism, when she was in the army, they called this "painting the target".

"That is all."  She smirked dutifully and resumed eating.

Lyre wormed her way into the hut, her scales invisible against the green. She was one of the best camouflagers in the tribe, less than adequate at venom shooting though. Lyre moved soundlessly through the hut, not disturbing a single twig thatbwas so expertly patched into the roofwork. She crawled ontop of the ceiling, down the wall and quietly scooted across the floor. She crammed her small frame into a socket, her scales shifted expertly, for good measure,  she added small rays of Moonlight shining through the twigs on the texture of her scales. She turned her violet, watchful eyes on tye funny NightWing.

"Who goes there?"

The rainwing yelped, neon green streaked across his scales, his eyes wide as he scrambled to grab a hold of a weapon.

Lyre giggled again. The mostly vacant room provided with a convenient echo, her voice seemed to be coming from everywhere at once.

"You perfecting you IceWing impersonating?  Drop the stick, its me silly!"

Lyre was one of the most famous (infamous) in the tribe. Her voice was exetremely distinguishable from the others. It was light and dreamy, as if she werent entirely there, as if some part of her mind was elsewhere.  Like Quetzel's sister (?) She was a village loon, what kind of RainWing bathed in moonlight?

(Maybe the Rainwing's scales were more shiny at night, in the dark, and during the day looked a little more dull and gray?)

Sunrise listened to Bravehero's words. Why was it so easy for him to think of something supportive to say?

Frostburn was looking at Aurora as if he wanted to say something. He finally opened his mouth and asked Aurora to talk with him about something. The talking of the Icewings drowned out what they were saying, but then Aurora cleared her throats loudly.

The Icewings looked annoyed for a moment at having their conversations interrupted.

Sensing this, Aurora said, "Mmm. Yes, i just inturrupted you, get used to it." The Icewings quickly wiped the glares of their faces. They probably didn't want to make their dear queen mad. Was that what being queen was like?

"Now, I was just informed that a dragonet was just misplaced in his classes, being placed into the lower circles! I am sure that tragic error was just that and have enough confidence in you to be working on solving the issue immediately. " Aurora announced. She looked at a certain Icewing, who Sunrise could recognize from the Icewing's mind, Frostburn's teacher. The Icewing gulped and looked a little sheepish.

"That is all," Aurora said and continued eating her caribou. The Icewings waited a few moments before starting to talk again.

Sunrise forked her half eaten caribou around on the plate a little, then turned back to the queen.

"Is everything here based on the rankings? I mean, if a dragon has a bad ranking when he turns seven, does that mean he is considered a nothing, even if his family was very noble?" Sunrise asked Aurora. She wanted to know more about Icewing culture, and how different they were from Skywings!

Carnage looked a little confused, then angry.

"What in the world do you mean by that?" She hissed at them. "Being weird with you two? Is that some kind of a joke? Noooo. You're going to drag me into a air locked room and drag the smartest out of my head until I become one of you! Don't turn me into a dimwitted Rainwing!" Several Rainwings heard this and glared. Some turned and flew away.

Wavecrest was a little shocked. She hadn't meant this when she asked Carnage the question.

"In order to turn you into a Rainwing, we need to have animus powers of some sor-," Wavecrest was cut of from her thought.

"Who goes there!" Quetzal shouted. Wavecrest hadn't expected him to yell. But through the necklace, it was clear he had heard something unsettling. He grabbed a stick and pointed it in front of him as defense.

Wavecrest looked for a weapon of her own. She didn't see anything. Well, her claws would do for now. She wasn't going to attack, but she wanted to defend Quetzal and Carnage from whatever was scaring him.

"You perfecting your Icewing impersonation? Drop the stick, it's me silly!" A voice came from nowhere.

"Wh-who are you?" Her mind answered her own question, it must be a Rainwing!

"It isn't nice to go around scaring dragons like that!" Wavecrest scolded the air.

Aurora

Sunrise was looking ather confused, Aurora swidled a look at her curiously, setting down the slab of caribu meat.

"Is everything here based on the rankings? I mean, if a dragon has a bad ranking when he turns seven, does that mean he is considered a nothing, even if his family was very noble?"

Aurora tilted her head thoughfully, she never actually though of the system like that. To her, it seemd fair.

"Young IceWings perform tests to determine their rank. IceWing dragonets start at the Seventh circle and work their way up to their determined rank. These tests revolve around every hunt, every fight, and every test of endurance in their earlier years. The place where you rank on your seventh hatching day determines where they will live as an adult." Aurora explained. "Of course, there is another solution, The Diamond Trails is a test where a low-ranked IceWing challenges the highest-ranked. For the Diamond Trial, the low-ranked dragon must kill the highest ranked dragon in order for him/her to advance to first place. However, this is risky and the challenger may end up getting killed by the dragon."

Lyre

((So, they like kinda glitter at night? Hmm... any other ideas?))

The dragons in the room seemed to be alarmed, their wings raised and voice slightly hoarsed as if they had been arguing. Lyre nessled deeper into to crook, giggling at Quetzel.

"Wh-who are you?"

The funny-looking blue one asked. Lyre had never seen a seawing in person before and watched her curiously.

"It isn't nice to go around scaring dragons like that!" The dragon scolded the air.

"It isn't? Oh." Lyre sighed. "Oooh, your scales are pretty."

She was still perfectl hidden.

Quetzal

He pointed his stick randomly in different directions, trying to ward off the source of the mysterious, and perhaps dangerous, source of giggling. He felt as though he heard something to the left of him move and he turned in that direction, swinging the stick wildly.

"You perfecting you IceWing impersonating? Drop the stick, its me silly!" The source said, her voice dreamy and far off sounding. As soon as he heard it, the stick fell out of his loose talons and exhaled in relief.

"Wh-who are you?" Wavecrest said, just as Quetzal was about to explain the cooky Rainwing.

"It isn't nice to go around scaring dragons like that!" Wavecrest continued, after probably realizing that it was a weird Rainwing.

"Oh, it isn't?" The Rainwing said, as if slightly confused. "Oooh, I like your scales."

Quetzal groaned as the Rainwing switched topics once again. "Lyre!" He scolded. "What are you doing!?! Were you spying on us? That wouldn't surprise me actually..." his voice trailed off.

((Well since moonlight isn't nearly as strong as sunlight, maybe she could get tried more faster since that's what Rainwing get most of their energy from. And I would think that her scales would specialize in greys, blacks, and shades of white instead of bright colors like pink or orange. She could possibly also be smaller compared to other Rainwings.))

Bravehero

"Well that sounds pleasant," he spoke, regarding Aurora's and Sunrise's conversation about the Icewing dragonets. "So what happens if they rank really low? Does that mean that they don't have a shot to do something great? Ever? Someone has to get last."

He didn't want to sound rude or anything, but that sounded like a good question to ask, especially if he was going to try to stay here for periods of time. Did the dragon with the least ranking have to get thrown outside and get the worst jobs? What if that was the dragonet that was destined to become the next greatest engineer? Does that mean that that dragon would've given up on his dream just because the rest of his or her tribe didn't think he was good enough?

The questions stormed through his head, because if he was an Icewing, he would probably be the one to get last in his ranking. Great. Now he was comparing himself to some make believe dragonet. He sighed as he picked up a piece of caribou and took a bite out of it.

Lyre

((Sparkly and camo specialist,  gets fatigued quicker. I like it.))

Lyre giggled her amusement as Quetzel waved the stick around madly. She watched as his talons loosened around the stick and it clattered to the ground.

Quetzal groaned.

"Lyre!" He scolded. "What are you doing!?! Were you spying on us? That wouldn't surprise me actually..." his voice trailed.

Lyre slid out from her hiding spot, she did not disturbe a single leaf as she slithered across the wall. She gripped her back talons into the leaves above her, her fore talon touched the groud first. She stretched herself out till two talons hit the mossy floor. Her tail wrapped around a branch and Lyren quietly lowered herself from the ceiling. She untangled her tail and curled it over her foretalons.

"You were making angry sounds and you have a funny looking blue dragon in here. You were practically BEGGING to be spied on!" Lyre whined, now, her voice was coming directly from behind Quetzel, making a few of the dragons jump.

Her scales shimmered, and for dramatic effects, soarkled at the tipmof her nose. The sparkle moved down in body, leaving visible scales in jts wake. The shimmer traveled all the way to her tail tip before it vanished, leaving a 100% visible Lyre.

((But, her wings fade from purple to midnight blue with the splatters like stars. The bright colors are just blues, violets and dark pinish purples.))

Aurora

"Well that sounds pleasant," Bravehero contributed.

"Its fair." Aurora shrugged,

"So what happens if they rank really low? Does that mean that they don't have a shot to do something great? Ever? Someone has to get last."

"No, they have the Diamond Trials." Aurora pointed out. "Warheros got to move up in the circles as well." She paused, thinking it through. "Its not about whether or not you have royal blood coursing through your viens. Its about what you, as an individual has to contribute to the tribe. You will not find a fat, lazy, unskilled dragon sitting in the first circle here."

Bravehero

He digested Aurora's words slowly, thinking them through. It did make more sense when you put it like that. If you tried and did something to help the tribe, you placed higher and got the first pick at jobs. If you were lazy and wasted your time as a dragonet, then you got worse jobs and are frowned upon by the tribe.

"So where did you rank before you came to Jade Mountain?" He asked, curious about Aurora's life before he met her. He knew about protective mother and psycho siblings. But did she have any friends? Or perhaps a strange pet that her mother frowned upon? Or was the vast majority of her life full of training?

Quetzal

He watched for another response from Lyre as seconds ticked by. He couldn't hear anything besides his own, beating heart. He'd grown up with Lyre and knew that she was probably the best camouflager in the entire tribe. Though, like him, she wasn't amazing at hitting the target when spitting venom. But that just made them more threatening to older Rainwings.

"You were making angry sounds and you have a funny looking blue dragon in here. You were practically BEGGING to be spied on!" Lyre suddenly, and loudly, whinned from right behind him. Her voice made him jump six feet forward before he spun around to face her direction.

Then, like magic, she started appearing like a rainbow wave, starting from the tip of her nose and flowed down to her tail. She was now fully visible and very mystical looking. Her radiant scales reflected moonlight magnificently, leaving shiny spots on her deep purple and blue scales.

"That still doesn't make it okay to magically pop out of nowhere and scare us all!" He yelled at her, still careful not to be too loud. "You could've scared me and I might even karate chopped you in the face! Or worse! I might have actually hit you with that stick!"

He started pacing back and forth, thinking about how he could get Lyre to leave them. She has always been interested in music. Maybe if he told that there was a pod of frogs singing on the opposite side of the forest... No. He didn't like lying. Especially to another Rainwing..

A thought suddenly appeared in his brain.  "How much of that did you hear!?!" He asked, spinning for then he faced her direction once more.

Aurora

Aurora watched him intently as Bravehero digested the subject. A look of understanding flashed across his face.

"So where did you rank before you came to Jade Mountain?" He quiered.

Aurora stared hard at her food.

"Im royalty rabbit -brain." She laughed.

Aurora did not enjoy remniscing over her previous life. Her controlling mother and murderous sister. Some of her own actions which, she now deeply regretted. The war hadnt left her unscathed,  she had become a monster. Killing dragons and... enjoying it. She remembered killing that SandWing, her friends horrified faces. She did not understand why they cared so much for a dragon that they never knew, to her, killing was a mercy. Dont get her wrong, Auora would still kill without a second thought, however, there would no longer be pleasure in it. Besides, there was much more grusome things she had done during the war, things that if spoken aloud, would stop even the Darkstalker in his tracks. Things that if Bravehero ever found out, Aurora was afraid would make him not love her. Of course,  none of these thoughts showed on her face. Aurora still wore that same cocky expression.

Lyre

Quetzel cleared a straight 6 feet of air space, probably bonking his head on the roofing. Lyre grinned at him, curling her tail happily. Her scales practicality glowed in the moonlight, they sparkled with every shift in muscles, every breath.

"That still doesn't make it okay to magically pop out of nowhere and scare us all!" Quetzel scolded loudly, Lyra met his stare questioningly.

"That is a subjective observation." She squeaked at him.

"You could've scared me and I might even karate chopped you in the face!" Quetzel went on, Lyre was suprised that he wasnt out of breath. "Or worse! I might have actually hit you with that stick!" The Rainwing finally took a breath.

"Your not gonna karate chop me now, are you? Because, I am totally scary, like, i could melt your face right now. "

Lyre sniffed, making her best, super scary face, which,  looked less scary and more like she was just really constipated.

Quetzel made THAT face at her. Lyre frowned, the recognized that face all too well. Everyone makes that face to her.

"Your making the face." Lyre sighed. "Everyone makes that face. You dont like me and want me to go away." She raised her ear fins.

Suddenly,  Quetzel was making a new face, one she did nkt see that often.

"How much did you hear!" He yelled-asked.

"Oh..." Lyre looked up. If she knew too much, then they'd have to let her come along. "All of it!" She declared. "And, if you doont let me come with you, then, i will tell everyone!"
