FIX THE CHAT PLEASE! (Rally)
I know that they have started working on fixing the chat, but innocent people still are getting chat banned for no reason, and we need it fixed please!
For example, my friend had said NOTHING against the chat, and they banned her for SIX DAYS!
One thing that I think would improve the chat more, would be making it more like Star Stable Online, or Car Parking Multiplayer.
SSO makes it to where they just block the whole message and it just says something like "this is not allowed in chat."
But you can say certain numbers, without getting banned.
Their chat is a much safer environment, and it's harder for you to say anything inappropriate.
In my experience, it also is very hard to get chat banned on SSO. (I have been playing for almost a year, and haven't gotten banned at all.)
CPM has no chat ban, but if you say a bad word, or anything offensive, it will cover the bad word with a "*" which would make the chat much better, because then we could actually talk, without getting as much chat ban.
It would be nice to not have any chat ban at all, but I understand that it's important for kids especially to learn what is and is not okay to say, but again, I'm just giving my opinion about it.
I also think that there needs to be better sensors for phrases like "I want to d.ie!" Or "I'm k.illing myself." Or even "I want you to k.ill yourself."
Phrases like that should NOT be said at all on there, and I've been told to k.ill myself, which was not okay.
You never know who could be on there, reading that, and having thoughts or feelings about that, and I want to protect those who are going through hard times, and shouldn't be seeing that stuff, or even saying it.
One idea that could work, is maybe having an island you can make for you, and your friends only, so that you can talk about everything, but can have like a password if you want, and others can't see your chat about that.
m That could help kids who want to play with friends, have a safe environment, and people who need to vent, can say whatever they want, without having to be sensored or chat banned.

YEAH I too are sick and tired of being silenced like this I got banned for not even saying anything bad it isn't right and yeah now that you put it that way, it is taking away our freedom of speach.

I currently use chat at a minimum, maybe before the Battle event and after the Battle event where I wish everyone good luck and gaining gems and a better position. Otherwise, I know that chat has trouble recognizing bad words from those good words, and for normal sentences he gives punishments or warnings and some bad words he normally lets go without any warning. I know it gives the job of chat set up to meet the requirements.So I'll wait until the chat is ready :-)

I'm not a fan of all caps, I'm not a fan of screaming and colored fonts, but some accurate things have been said.
I played a few other games with chat function and I must say, I don't get the idea of chat bans at all. What's the point in muting players when their "improper messages" aren't displayed in chat anyway? Can't it just block the whole message or censor the assumingly bad words with *, like it was already mentioned in this thread, without banning? It would work the same, but it would let us avoid all unnecessary chat ban cases and complaints. Those two solutions are successfully used in games I've played and although they're not flawless and the filters sometimes block completely normal words, it's way better than what we've got in SOD.
To sum up, I completely support the idea of removing chat bans. As for the special island, I doubt developers would do that. Too much effort for something of so little importance to them. I don't even know if it would be possible. If you can't chat freely, get a proper app for it. If you're too young and thus not allowed to have one, maybe there's a reason for that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I understand what you mean about the island being a bit of a far-fetched, but I figured that considering that they can build islands, and have given you, your own hut, they probably could make a code line that designs the island, and use a similar to same code like in the hut, where only friends and friends of friends can visit, and possibly add a new code that makes it to where you can have a locked room with friends. (I'm a newer coder, so I know a little bit on game building, and how it works.)
Or at least let friends join your stables, and you can have friends only chats on there.

I had another idea, that I was wondering, since we are talking about ways they let you with the chat, they should just have at least a Group chat, for you to invite friends to groups, and chat, which again, would be something like what SSO does, and I think would benefit a lot of players to have groups of friends only that can join, and just chat.
One thing that was posted last year by a fellow player on here, was how Goonybard had said, was if enough people ask for something, they would fulfill the wish, so if enough people say "No More Chat Ban!" Maybe they'll do it!
And if enough people ask for something that they can have just for them, and their friends, they could do it! So everyone, please help us with this rally, and see if we could get chat ban banned for good!

Chill, do whatever you want. No need to apologize, I don't freak out when I see all caps or something. I simply don't support this kind of expressing one's thoughts online. I just don't think typing all caps is appropriate and Imho it may sound more rude than whatever you wanted to achieve by doing this. I just stated my opinion and agreed with some of your ideas, but don't count me as a devoted warrior who will fight for the better future lol

GoonyBard, can you please talk to the other developers about maybe banning Chat Ban, since it doesn't seem to do much good?
Or try to make the chat be more like on Star Stable, where it's way more relaxed? (They do have it to where you can't say bad words, ages, real life stuff, [Or at least harder with some stuff.] without getting chat banned.)
Or at least just cover the only offensive word to look like ***** (<-no actual word said, just an example.) instead of thw whole word?
Waaaaaay too many words children shouldn't hear- and I myself don't want to hear- have slipped through the chat they have. What they need is a much better censor with a much less chance of chat ban. This morning I got a week long chat ban for saying "atqwhat" when my friend said they were angry. A whole week for a simple "atqwhat" yet I've seen so many cusses and adult content my eyeballs hurt. PLS FIX THIS CHAT

They also have banned me before, for saying "Weird", which isn't a bad word, yet, like you said, people get passed the censor with saying more muture content, that even some teens don't like. Much worse for children, who shouldn't be seeing that kind of stuff.

A lot of stuff I say doesn't show up in chat at all. It's like I'm being blocked from saying things like "deathsong" I tried d e a t h s o n g qqqqdeathsongqqq jskciensocjdeathsongmckdmek and I get a warning from headmaster lol I could say deathsong before the update! I got two warnings!!! This is why I try avoiding chat as much as possible.
well im joining since i got chat banned for a week. A WEEK! That is soooooooooooooooo long. i mean siriously SoD. Week chat bans? i mean the hour one isnt too bad and the day is tolerable but a whole week? Pls Sod Admins take the week chat ban off Sod!
That's not all. I've had some friends get banned for a month....what the heck, why a month?! I can tolerate an hour or a day, but not a week and certainly not a month!!!
Oh and also when I reported my unfair chat ban and it wasn't fixed, I got a message from the CS representative saying that I had to do my time of whatever heyral gives me and promptly said they dont tolerate numbers when I can type numbers up to 5 now!
Yeah I that isn't right most people don't say anything bad and, 'do your time'... it's not a prison haha and it doesn't matter if they say a week ban it should be. A. Week. Ban. not eight days that isn't right and a month that is insane a month is rather excessive.
And I am still in my chat ban if I can recall I was trying to use a chartreuse color code and what I was saying after the code you ask? well it was test and I know that is okay to say in chat.
Yeah, they REEEEEEAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLYYYYYY need to ban Chat Ban! It's tiring!
