Welcome to Earthguard's general announcement and recruitment area! Here you may find various banners and art designed for clan use and our current recruitment status, as well as our clan rules. Please note this thread is used for informational purposes only. Feel free to ask questions and donate art, videos, and writing.

General Clan Information:

Earthguard was founded on July 23rd, 2014. We are currently #74 on School of Dragon's Leader boards as of March 8th, 2016. We also have up to 100 available membership positions, by invitation or request.

Who belongs in Earthguard?

This group is open to all but is geared toward environmentally minded people, animal lovers, and people who enjoy the outdoors. We are primarily a social group for making friends with like-minded individuals.

Is Earthguard a Competitive Clan?

Earthguard is a relaxed, interest-based clan. At the time being there are no trophy minimums or earning requirements. Socialization, roleplay, competition, clan board and forum use is highly encouraged.

What about Clan Tournaments?

Clan members are not required to participate in tournaments, but are encouraged to. We are happy just to have our fellow clan members cheer us on from the sidelines. I however, will always participate and try to make our clan proud!

Are there any requirements for being a part of, and staying in Earthguard?

Clan members must abide by all of School of Dragons game and forum rules, as well as our personal clan rules (read below for rules and penalties).

Members should play School of Dragons and/or use the SOD Forum on a weekly basis. Any clan members who remain inactive for a month or longer may be removed to make room for new members. Any newly added members who do not make an effort to become an active part of the community within two weeks may be removed.

What do you do when you are a part of Earthguard?

We have an active in-game clan message board and clan members are encouraged to visit and socialize in game as well as on the message board.

We are planning on and looking forward to creating fun get-togethers and parties, contests and tournaments, roleplaying, chatting, racing, and so on with the help of each of our members.

What happens when the clan is full? Would I have a chance to join?

When the clan becomes full I will more actively remove inactive or uninvolved clan members. Vikings without a name (Viking-#######), those with no trophies, and those who have not chatted on the board, socialized with other members, or used the forum board will be removed first.

When adding members, priority goes to Vikings who are most active, have many trophies, or have skills to offer the clan (art, animation, writing, etc). People who personally message me in the forum or have a customized clan request also get priority for going above and beyond to show interest.

Who is the leader of Earthguard?

I am the leader of Earthguard. My in game name is "Marriella" and forum name is "Mariella". You are welcome to friend me in-game using my friend code: ALNL9V.

Why did you make Earthguard?

I wanted to create a place for good, like-minded people to hang out and enjoy School of Dragons at our own pace. We all love dragons, but not all of us are competitive! Here at Earthguard we appreciate both the "Fishlegses" and "Snotlouts" of the Dragon World. We compete in Thunder Run, unite against Alvin and Daggur in Battle, but also love to relax on the forum and share art, fan-fiction, and just enjoy each others company.

Do you have a clan application I can fill out?

Filling out a form is not necessary... but If you want to get ahead of the crowd by bumping up your priority, feel free to fill out this clan form. This general information will help me get to know you and see what you have to offer our community.

Alright, I've recently joined up with the Guard, and one of the things I promised if I was allowed to join was:

AAAAART.

This is just my recent style as an example of what I can do, so it's not, like, 'free art' or anything. But the examples are so you have a reference point... thingy... as to what I am able to do.

So! I've decided to, (trumpet sounds), make art of Earth Guard's dragons! I'm rubbish at humans, unfortunately, so, this is a dragons-only request zone. And if you're not in the EarthGuard, you can't make requests, please remember that. If you want art of your winged lizards, simply ask for a piece on this here thread and provide a reference- that's it. I'll only do one piece of art for you at a time, and you'll have to wait your turn until you can ask for another one.

Hello! I wasn't entirely sure where to post for membership application, so I'm posting this here instead of the hang-out. If you need me to delete it and repost it somewhere else, I will!

I'd like to join Earthguard! I'm not very good at art and I don't have trophies, but I'm all for socializing. What I'm most interested in when playing are races and battle-events, though I'm still figuring out which dragons to use for them, so I guess that's where my value comes in? Although I'm not a new player, I am playing with a new viking, so I haven't progressed very far yet. I also filled out the application form. Please consider me.

How often/much do you play?

I've been playing a lot recently, every day for a few hours. I can't guarantee the same level of activity for the time to come, though, since I've been playing during my holiday break. I do plan on continuing playing every day, but who knows what life throws at me?

Why do you want to be a part of our community?

I'm very drawn in by the social aspect, since playing is a lot more fun when you get to share it with people with the same interests. I'd like to get to know people in the community and challenge them to beat my scores, have friendly competition. Or fly besides them as we destroy an enemy ship and guarantee Berk's safety once again! I don't know, really. It just seems fun to be part of a community on here.

What can you do for Earthguard?

When the role-play board comes, I think I will take part in it, since I've been writing for years now and it's great practice. I'm not very good at digital art, but I know my way around it, so if we need anything like simple banners or such, I could give it a shot. I'm also planning on getting a LOT of thropies in the near future, since I'm pretty competitive.

Could I join Earthguard?

Hey everyone... I have no idea if anyone will see this, or even if this Clan is still running. But I've been meaning to do this for a while, so...

I was wondering if I could join your Clan? I PMed Mariella a while back but I'm not sure if she's active anymore. I really like the sound of Earthguard, compared to some of the other really, really competitive clans out there...

How often/much do you play?

Usually every day, or at least about three times a week if I'm especially busy.

Why do you want to be a part of our community?

Well, I really liked the sound of Earthguard. It's not as competitive as some of the other clans, and there is no minimum trophy requirement. I also like Earthguard's principles, since I'm a keen explorer and adventurer myself (both in the game and in real life). I love animals, and dragons, obviously! Earthguard honestly just sounds like the best, if not perfect, clan for me.

What can you do for Earthguard?

Well, I will admit now I'm not the best racer ever born, but I will try if I can to earn a few trophies here and there. (I will also let you know now that I'm not a member). I'm a pretty good organiser, so would be happy to take on any admin/paperwork responsibilities to make other people's lives easier. I like drawing so could design Clan Banners and things, and maybe draw some dragons/Vikings too. I love writing so I'm hoping to contribute to the fan-fiction department! I quite like roleplaying, though it's kinda hard by myself, hence my Clan application! I enjoy exploring in-game, and am an avid freeclimber, having free-climbed all over the Berk Islands (climbing cliffs while not on my dragon). I farm and fish quite often, and I'm planning on spending quite a bit of time here on the Forums, posting stuff and helping other people out as much as possible. I recently got into battle events and usually come in the top 10, getting either gold or silver.

Hey Reindeer! Or would you prefer Leah? Wanted to let you know that, unfortunately, Mariella is currently inactive at the time, life bogging her down likely. It happens! As are most of us currently, but there are still a few of us around and relatively active. And some still pop back on every now and then. But you sound like you'd be a great fit with us! We are very low key when it comes to trophies and the like, so no worries about that! There are some in the clan who don't have any. Lemme see if anyone is around to ask about inviting you to the clan or if I myself can do so. Just wanted to let you know so you're not sitting around waiting and wondering. ^_^

As for the clan rp, if you were interested in joining, there are still a few of us rping over there but we are in the process of ending that chapter and will be starting a new one relatively soon, but as many are currently busy with real life right now, it might be a bit slow going. If we get you into the clan and you wish to join, we can discuss how to get you in on it, or see if waiting for the next chapter to start would be better.

Hey everyone! Hope everyone's been doing well.

Just a reminder, we do have a Discord Server now. If anyone that's still around or checks this forum once in a while would like to join us, feel free!
