Dragon Evolution: The Rise of the Hybrids
The human-dragon hybrids have been living on the island of Hitara for centuries, with none of them ever leaving the island for fear that the world of humans and dragons will discover them and mistreat them for their abilities. They possess a special ability to bond with the dragons native to that island, the Alviora. Eventually, out on a mapping expedition, Hiccup and Toothless discover the island and offer to take some of the citizens to Berk with the intention of signing a peace treaty with them so that there will be no future wars. The chief of the island and several others agree to go, but they are internally hesitant because they are afraid the Vikings will discover their hybridity. Hiccup takes them back to Berk with him, with the hybrids riding their Alviora and Hiccup on Toothless. The newcomers try to settle in to Berk as representatives of a visiting tribe, since the treaty won’t be ready for a few days, On the day of the treaty signing, Berk is suddenly attacked by a ruthless Viking known as Calder and his army. Will the hybrids reveal their secret in order to help protect Berk and all of its inhabitants?
Feel free to post whenever you want :)
Jilet finished her nap. She spread her wings, while in her human form, and took off. She decieded to take a few laps around the island. She flew around the island looking at the sights. How beautiful, she thought, I will never leave. She wondered where all the others were....
(is this a roleplay?)
yisss..
Jilet flew through the thick clouds towards the Island of Hitara. She dove gracefully down to the ground of a near island. She changed into her human form. I should probably rest before I fall out of the sky, she thought. She sat with her eyes watching the island intently.
Amber was hunting in the woods. She was a hunters of the tribe, and she had good aim with arrows. Now she was hunting a particularly stubborn boar, who always moved away the second she was in range. Amber was on a tree. She got a good shot, and..... The boar looked up to see her. He ran into the deeper shrubbery.
Amber changed into her dragon form and raced forward. She shot a cage of Amber around the boar, turned into a hybrid, and shot the boar with a single arrow. When it was done, she picked up her game and was about to get more when a familiar face popped out from the bushes.
"Amber, you've been gone half the day. You won't have time to eat anything if you don't take a break from catching stuff," Fury said. Amber groaned.
"Okay, let's go to the village," Amber said. Fury slung her berries to her back and they started hiking back to the main village.
Eurus is a warrior and a guardian in peaceful time. On the ordinary morning such as this the razorwhip would still dutifully stood by and keep her eyes peel for any possibly harm that might have come for Hitara and its citizen, from both within and outside. Of course, not everyhting have to happen everyday and truthfully Eurus was greatful for any peace she could have, expecially in the nice and peaceful morning like this. She knew one of the reason is because a brute like Sleuther is still fast asleep, not bothering to fillfull his jobs when there's no challenge or fight worth waking up too. The triple stryke's rather irritating but she knew his stregth is something that Hitara need even how much respect he lack.
For now, Eurus would just enjoy the morning by herself on her post.
Arazera flies above the island in her dragon form, enjoying the cool morning. She dives towards the ocean and pulls up a couple moments before hitting the water, skimming the water.
"Better than last time, I suppose."
"Yaaaah!"
Nyx shouted. She sound was forced out her diaphragm, tightening her core muscles so they wee less sceptible to attack. The throwing knife left her outstretched hand, it spiraled in the air before straightening out. It's pointed tip penetrated the soft fabric of the dummy. The knife was but a silver blue in the air. It landed smack in the middle of the red bullseye. In fact, She threw the ite so hard, that it drove straight through the dummy, stabbing the wood which supported the dummy on the otherside. But Nyx wasn't done yet. Crouching down to avoid imaginary fire, Nyx whipped around like lightning driving another knife through a different Dummy's chest.
She sprang forward in a massive leap, sailing over a third Dummy's head while simultaneously chucking her dagger at it. She missed, barely, the dagger whistled past the dummy, tearing off some fabric instead. Nyx did not have time to greve this failure. Still in the air, Nyx straightened out her leg. Her foot smashed the 4th dummy Right in its chest knocking the wooden thing over. As it toppled, Nyx lost her balance. She tumbled over the Dummy, pain searing through her leg as she fell on her knees. Nyx recovered quickly, she rolled to the side and produced a knife in her hand and came out of her tumble in a kneeling position. Breathing heavily she looked around, green eyes narrowed.
She had left chaos in her wake. The stuffing was talking out of the first dummy, the second dummy seemed okay. But the head had rolled off the third she had missed completely. A sloppy throw by her standards. And the 4th was so mangled from her kick, it needed replacement. Nyx, panting from her mornings exertion, stood up. She jogged over and peered at the Sundile. Record time! Nyx retrieved her knives from the dummies and sat on a log, examining her bloodied knees.
Amber turned around. She saw a figure, their young chief, land beside them and morph into a human.
"Hey you two," He said. Amber smiled.
"Hey Ash. How are you?" Amber asked. Fury remained silent, standing by Amber. Amber, being Fury's closest friend, knew her secrets. She didn't really know how to meet and talk to people, and above all was scared to morph into a dragon. No one knew this but Amber.
Fury was a hybrid, and the only other hybrid was the chief himself, at least from what Amber knew. So Fury pretended like she couldn't morph into a full dragon, just half a dragon with Changewing wings. So Fury wasn't exactly popular around.
"What are you doing around here chief?" Amber asked, smiling and fingering jet little amber earrings.
Amber looked back to her boar.
"Oh, yes, thank you. He was a little stubborn," Amber said, and she thought back to the excitement of catching her boar.
Fury had her sack of berries and stepped a little farther back while Amber and Ash talked.
"So, any new chiefly business? We are doing pretty well this hunting season," Amber patted her boar, then shook the little red droplets of her hand.
Amber gasped, not very loudly, but she still couldn't believe what she was hearing.
"I don't think we have had an outsider on their island for, well, I don't know," Amber said, shaking her head. She felt questions poking through her head.
"What type of dragon is it? Do you think they pose a threat? My dragon form is more comforting, but I can't really stay a day without transforming," Amber said.
The faint outline of the main village came in sight. Behind her, Fury remained silent and listening.
"I should probably go around and start earning some others," Amber said to the chief, and nodded to the village.
Nyx wrapped up her leg in some bandages, the sound of wingbeats notified her of a presence. Her gaze titled upwards as she noticed Baravo, their villaghe cheif of sorts gliding above. She frowned. Nyx, stood up and retreived her saggers from the dummies.
((I knew that. Pffft. I just wanted to see if YOU knew that. ))
Jilet flew arounf the island one more time to make sure it was safe and secure. How much more safe can it be, she thought as she flew. "When will I get the adventure I yearn for", she said aloud to herself.
Note: I have no idea what I am doing.....if someone has some tips......PLEASE PM me. ;)
Eurus continued to observed. she could see their chiefton making his close by, Amber and Fury taking along with their kil,ls. She regarded them silently with the straighten back and lance held vertically straight by the side. Her amor clinged.
She could hear their conversation even if she doesn't intent to ear dropping. It's one of the thing about being in shift by the entrance. But she never made a comment in any of them and just silently note the information and keeping it to herself. She has heard of this one already though, a benefit of being the protector of the village. the news about the strange riden Night fury and a human. As of now they pose least concern but Eurus would prepared herself if the problem surfice.
I painted as I landed on the ground again. Just had been on a long nice flight. I changed back into a human and walk towards the river hoping to get some fish to eat. Then I heard voices talking near by. I silently crept towards the sound. I quickly did a roll and hid behind a bush and peaked out. I let out a sigh of relief seeing it was only our chief and hunters carry a boat between them. They talked for a while before Ash our chief turned into a wholly howl and leapt into the sky.
“Hi”, I say causally walking up from behind the bush like nothing had happened.
Jilet flew lower and saw their chief, Ash, so she decicied to fly lower and say hello. She glided down to the spot where Nyx was standing and morphed into her human form. "Hello Chief", Jilet said happily. "I was on a awesome flight around the island. "And....uh....chief, when you have the time to spare", she paused, "I need to talk to you". Jilet morphed into her Razorwhip. With that, she flew off.
((Oh, hi, I'm back early, so... Hi. Also; Man, there are a LOT of posts...))
~Esmerary~
Esmeray sat on a high rock, glancing down at the view. The island seemed to soak in the sunlight, warming it and all it's inhabitants. She morphed into a Whispering Death and soared back down, landing gracefully. When she landed, she immendiantly noted her surrondings, then she proceeded towards one of her tunnels. Suddenly, a twig snapped. Esmeray whipped her head in the direction of the sound. A graceful deer was drinking from a nearby river, being unbelieveably noisy. Rotating her rows of teeth, Esmeray swiftly darted towards the deer, snatching it in her mouth. Feeling proud, she dropped it and used her fire to cook it. Munching on it, she took on a soft piece of grass, then turned back to her hybrid form.
Is it too late for me to join? This is my first roleplay so I'm not sure of the rules yet....
Jackel whooped as he dipped and soared above the gently tossing waves far below him in the ocean. Turning a neat barrelroll to avoid a seagull, he ducked his head down and flew toward the ocean surface, gliding along above it and laughing as he watched his reflection ripple and change.
Jilet was flying above the clouds when she noticed a hybrid Screaming Death flying above the water. Well, I'll just go say hello, she thought. She dove gracefully and flew above him. "Hello", she called out, "how are you doing?".
Hearing someone call out to him, Jackel slowed and looked around. There was a Razorwhip hybrid flying nearby. "Me?" he asked, circling around and flying toward her. "I'm great! Have you noticed how funny reflections looks when you're flying above the waves today?" he added, chuckling.
Flying right next to him Jilet could see him more clearly. "Yeah, the reflections are really fun to look at, aren't they", Jilet commented. "I come to the water to catch fish every afternoon", Jilet stated.
"Cool." Jackel did a neat backflip in midair and, in doing so, splashed the water. "I just like flying. Especially in the morning, when the sun is just coming up and everyone else is either busy, asleep, or out on the ocean like this." He did another backflip and laughed. "This is fun! Betcha I can beat you back to the village! What'ya say? Wanna race?"
He just asked if I want to race, Jilet thought mysteriously. "If you can keep up", Jilet said slyly. "Seeya", Jile said as she put on more speed. She splashed up a bunch of water as she flew.
"Awesomeness!" Jackel whooped, ducking his head and racing after her. To make himself more streamlined he stayed as a half-human, half-dragon hybrid, gliding along just above the surface of the water to prevent the wind from pushing him back any. She was fast, he realized as he sped up. Not faster than him, hopefully, but fast. He wondered if all Razorwhips were this good at racing.
Jilet saw him picking up speed. More speed, she thought. She flew over the water and the village was in view now. Now I've got him, she thought. "Why am I racing", Jilet said softly, "don't I remember what happened last time". Oh well, she thought, it's just one race. I slowed a bit, but kept flying. Boy, he is good at racing, she thought to herself.
As the village came into sight, Jackel sped up more, flapping his wings and streamlining his body as best he could before catching up to her. Wow, he thought as he flew alongside her. She is a really good racer. Maybe even better than...me!
Jilet flew faster......but then she steadily slowed down. She lost control and almost crashed into the water. She then caught herself. Why am I off my game, she thought. They were almost over the village. She noticed that Chief Ash was above them. "Oh....Hi Chief", she said, "we are headed to the Village. Care to join us?"
"You want ME to assist you?", Jilet asked astonished. "That's a first", she said sadly. She morphed into her half-human form and slowed down. "Let's get back into the Village", she said, "hey, Jackel, want to assist me?"
Nyx raised her head, her horns glittering in the sunlight. She titled her head at her cheif, who decided against telling her whatever Ash wanted to tell her and took off. Nyx scoffed, sliding the daggers back into her belt and kicking the stuffing into a neat pile. That was odd. Still...
Nyx closed her eyes, she felt her skin pulse and vubrate as she dug down into the metalic spines along her back that acted as lightning Reserves. The electricity crackled through her body, giving her an exciting jolt. She felt the our energy channel along her spine, resonate in her horns then shoot down her fingertips. Nyx stuff out a hand, unable to contain the plasma. Her hand flared with brilliant pain and blinding lightning shot from it, scorching the pile of dummies into a smoking pile of ash. Nyx opened her eyes, she felt the lightning ebb away, creep back up her arms and fade out, leaving a numb but satisfactory feeling behind.
Nyx sighed and spread her arms. She felt her bones shift and mend, the skin on her back grew hard and formed scales, wings sprang from her shoulder blades. Her bones snapped back into place. Now having shifted into her half dragon form, Nyx leaped into the hair. Her massive wing solan catching the wind and picking her up circling above the trees.
Jilet glided above the trees of Hitara and landed softly on the grass. Her silver Razorwhip wings were still out of her back. She concentrated on her wings going into the spot on her back. They were consumed by the skin. Then she remembered that the chief wanted her to alert everyone. She morphed into her Razorwhip. She opened her wings and went looking for someone to tell what the chief had said. She flew above the trees and spotted a Skrill. "Hey, Nyx", she called, "Chief wanted me to tell you something!"
"Hey Nyx!" Nyx turned and noted Jilet flying twoards her. "Cheif wanted me to tell you something."
Nyx slowly to a hover, she smoothed back her cloak using her hands. She looked up to meet eyes with Jilet in her Razorwhip. Jilet seemed to be vaguely stressed, she must if been flying for a while, Nyx could assume that whatever news she had to tell was something she was supposed to tell into everybody. Probably whatever Ash was going to say to her before flying off. So, she got this order from Ash. It must be important. Nothing much happens on the island so for something to be that important must come from an outside scorce.
"We have visitors?" Nyx asked before Jilet could say anything.
She had already pieced together the problem.
"So cheif wants us to stay in human form."
"Yeah", Jilet paused, "we do. I have my suspicions. How are you doing?", Jilet asked, as her purple eyes darted around. Jilet landed on the ground and morphed into her half-human form. She let her wings drop and drag on the ground as she sat down in the grass.
"Yeah. We do, I have my suspicions." Jilet sighed. "How are you?"
Nyx glided down to Earth and la ded just as Jilet sank to the floor. She folded in her winds which fused with her skin.
"That depends. Was that a rehtorical question?"
"Naw. It wasn't rehtorical", Jilet sighed. She sat back on her heels and looked up at Nyx. "I hope you are feeling better than I am".
I leapt back into the air and flew back to the river with a grumbling tummy. But to my dismay there were no fish to be seen.
”Just my luck”, I mumble throwing a stone into the water sending ripples everywhere
Walking slowly along the coast at midmorning, Ash paused and looked out across the waves, their white tops rising and falling to rush up the beach and then recede. The sky was clear, and a gloriously bright sun was slowly climbing its way into the sky as the day dragged slowly on, for really it was a slow day. Ash kicked a seashell with his boot and it flipped over, revealing a tiny crab. The hybrid watched as the creature scuttled away into the surf. Hearing a sound above his head, he looked up to see a lone seagull flying overhead. Morphing into a half-dragon, Ash launched himself into the air after it. The seagull flew at a slower pace than he was used to, and it was only seconds before he had passed it by, flying inland toward the closest hybrid settlement.
