Confessed to a minor and harrassed.
Ok, hopefully I put this topic into the correct forum. This is my first actual topic that I've posted, so please let me know if I'm doing something wrong so I'll be able to not make the same mistake next time :). Anyway, today I was FINALLY able to get my account for the forums approved, but the incidents happened 1-2 months ago as I was waiting on my account to be approved.
The first incident happened December 31st, 2020. I was invited to a old friends Hideout, I haven't seen them in years and I actually don't remember why or when I friended him. (Not sure if I'm allowed to name people, please let me know). But they asked me out of the blue if I liked them, didn't know what to say because it was weird as I was trying to remember why I friended him in the first place as it's been so long. But I asked them why, and he was just curious if I had a crush. Told him that I wasn't sure how we became friends, and he said that I was on their list for a long time (Well, yeah, XD). Then he got close to my avatar, and asked,"Will this help change?" And 'kissed' my avatar. Ok, so I assumed this was a child, since he was role-playing like that. But shut him down saying that I didn't have a crush on him. At the time it wasn't even 2 weeks since I last been online (I took a long break from the game.) So out of curiosity, I asked him how old he was. He said he was almost 28! As I'm typing this, I'm still considered a minor. I immediately started freaking out a little bit, and simply told him,"So you're making moves on a minor." He immediately apologized a number of times and told me it wouldn't happen again. But, this man didn't even know me, let alone my own age. I knew that I wasn't the first girl he confessed to online, he was a few other girls when I was still playing 2-3 years ago (All I'm almost positive were minors as well.). I asked him if he understood how this could get him into trouble if he continued to try and do this to other minors, and if I eventually reported his behavior. He continued to say that he wouldn't do it again, but never answered my question. I asked him how would I know that he wouldn't do this again in the future, he tried to make me drop the subject and move on. He said,"Look I won't do this to everyone, look just say I won't do it here." He didn't want me to report this because he didn't want to lose his stuff :/. I just checked back in last month, and he removed me from his friends list. I can no longer speak with this person, but he clearly knows what he did wrong. A friend of mine I DM outside of game told me that he,"He tried to say, to me and my friend, that he was a pedo because he's autistic." For awhile I was close not to talk about this at all because of a disability he had. But we clearly don't know how severe his disability is (I'm aware there's an autism spectrum, but where is he on the autism spectrum, y'know?). But, if he's using his disability as an excuse for his actions, then that's not acceptable. This is still a kids game, I hope no child ever has to encounter this.
A second incident happened last month with a different player. I unfortunately don't remember the exact date where I first ran into this guy, but the second time I came across him was January 13th, 2021. The first time I was chatting in the Training Grounds. Now, my name in-game is xAnimeNerdx. Out of nowhere this random player said he likes me, giving me pet names, and said he engages in 'dirty activities' to me. (Which I'm guessing is that he likes Anime, and not actually me.). (Also, not going to say the actual thing, because I'm not sure what's allowed and what's not allowed and I don't want to risk getting into any trouble.) The second time he saw me on the chat again and said,"Oh! Hey AnimeNerd, cutie." Told him to knock it off and not call me that. He responded,"Wut we married two days ago tho anime." Which we absolutely did not, ew, lol. But I only saw him those two times. And a friend reached out to me and gave me his clan name, which is wonderCLAN. (Again, not sure if I can say his name.). This isn't the first time I was harassed like this, but I thought I'd go ahead and report this since I was making an account for the forums.
Sorry this post is so long. Again, please let me know if I'm allowed to post screenshots containing names, touchy subjects, etc. I hope nobody has to encounter these two. Stay safe everyone.

i am very sorry that u experienced that in A LITERAL KIDS GAME.I would recommend u to be careful around people and NEVER agree on something u don't feel comfortable to do.I understand you completely i used to play other role play games even at the age of 8(WHICH IS A BIG MISTAKE) and ive experienced similar things, the worst part is that i never noticed how wrong they are wrong until i grew up.
I would like to mention that u should never give out your private social medias, or any kind of personal information to strangers on online games because many of those people might be child predators that can leave a bad memory or even a trauma to you :/.
i cant decide wether u should leak their information because first fact about first guy is that it was "a minor inconvenience",BUT THIS IS STILL A KIDS GAME AND MINORS ARE EXPECTED TO BE THE BIGGEST IN GROUP HERE.
Dont let him manipulate you with words "oh i didnt know you were a minor", he is adult on kids game about dragons,he was very well aware.
So you should listen to your brain and than decide if you want to leak their information, personally i don't want to say mine opinion on this because i believe that i shouldn't leave a comment on that :).
Yeah I never gave out any other personal information to him or anybody else for that matter. I know this person is well-known I think in-game, but nobody probably suspected how old he is. But yeah, I wasn't manipulated at all, it just rubbed me the wrong way from the very start. I don't want to get into trouble on what I leak and such so I'll just wait for more replies. But thank you :)
I think this should have been better off in a PM to the SoD admins in my opinion, but I guess it's good to let people be aware of this person, whoever they are.

I'm sorry to hear you experienced that and it's good that you are speaking up about it. Child predators can be anywhere so never leak any personal information or even your social media's to strangers. You mentioned the first harasser confirmed to your friend that he 'was' a pedo cause he is autistic. That's not really an acceptable excuse when playing a kids game, no matter what disability you have. He is supposedly 28, he should know what is wrong and inappropriate to kids.
As for the second harasser, did he say in chat what these 'dirty activities' are? Because if he did, there is no excuse that either. And calling you pet names when you have never met him before definitely seems weird. Both incidents definitely sound like cases child/sexual online harassment and I believe they should be reported. If I were you, I would leak the names of the players so this doesn't happen to anyone else but you don't have to if you don't want to. I would hate to see more minors like yourself experience this. Some people are truly disgusting.

Absolutely, that's sickening behavior and is never an excuse. I didn't leak anything to the first harasser, other than the fact that I was underaged and a minor. The name of the first harasser is Tommyknockerthelordofdragons, by the way.
As for the second harasser, MindinTheJokester, by 'dirty activities' I meant qsex. (Which I'm assuming qmasturbation? Since I assumed in my post that he probably meant that he liked Anime, and not specifically me. Gosh I really hope I don't get in trouble for saying this, LOL, but this did unfortunately happen.)
It's unfortunate that these two, and many more, are still roaming around online like this and thinking this behavior is normal and ok. I absolutely want to leak their names so others can be warned about the players like them (especially the young ones), thank you for the encouragement.

Autism has nothing to do with being a pedo. Nothing....at....all. It is an entirely separate issue and he should be ashamed of tainting the autism community with a myth like that.
Granted having autism AND being a pedo at the same time is a very bad combination for many reasons. But being a pedo is not assosiated with having autism and given how awkward autistic people can be and how much they can struggle in social situations trying to spread the idea that the two are linked.......
That's so dangerous! If that myth came from his parents shame on them. If it came from him, shame on him.

Now....that all being said. There is an alternate possibility here which DOES involve autism. I feel the need to play devil's advocate here since...it's a possible situation and it needs to be brought up.
Here's the thing....a lot of people do RP k.issy stuff without actually meaning that the players behind the charicters are in love (I don't know why it's popular on this game in particular it just is.). It sounds like, when he started he could have been just trying to mimick what he's seen other people do. To him, it was just a non-serious game and it may not have even occured to him that it could be inapropriat. He may have just picked you because you two were in each other's friend list and he kind of randomly picked someone wanting to mess around. He may not have realized the fact that you two were probubly random friend request accepts or even how long it's been since you interacted.
Him saying he was a pedo because he was autistic could possibly have not been litteral eather. He could have been trying to use slang or a figure of speach or simply meant that he looked like he was being a creep because he was autistic and didn't know what he was doing without knowing how to better articulate that to avoid sounding like he was saying he was litterally a pedo because he was autistic.
Something autism can and will do is make some social things that are obveeus to most people not seen by the person with autism. It can also mess with people's ability to explain themselves and their intentions as well as struggling in regaurds to the other way around. (One of the reasons I mentioned the Pedo issue being connected with autism as even a myth would be dangerous. People would get falsely labled and not know how to prove their innocents or explain in a way that doesn't just dig them deeper)
So, what should you do? Well, honistly as long as this guy doesn't show signs that he's going to keep doing this I'd say leave him be for now but keep your evidence.
I don't think your second encounter is related to him. That is just a random person being gross.
You can certainly report these people if you want to but as long as they don't start following your charicter around and it's just one time incidents it's probubly not worth worrying about (don't waist energy stressing out about it I mean). Again, I don't know why a lot of people like playing this romance stuff but for SOME reason this game is plauged by romance RPers. Try not to let it get under your skin. They aren't actually dangerous most of the time. (Again, the red flag you're looking for to know when it's time to really get scared is if they start really following you. Like, they visit you through your clan and spam you with friend requests and you have multiple encounters with the same player)

This is a topic that I would love to put more work into the spelling of but the forum's spell check doesn't work for me right now and it's in such bad sorts that it can't even show me where the wrong words are. I...actually can't often tell which things are badly spelled so....bear with me)
That's why I was close to not reporting this matter (I have relatives of my own who have autism, so I definitely see where you're coming from.). And I'm almost positive he didn't mean the lovey-dovey stuff, that didn't really bother me (Pretty sure he didn't have those 'feelings' for me XD). It was the fact that he was so open to saying it to me. Like, if he's so open to saying it to me, a random friend on his list, then he's most likely open to saying it to everyone else on game. I was more concerned about other kids safety. I'll be an adult in a few months. Kids are more likely to believe that kind of stuff like what he just said, even if he doesn't mean it. Just taking extra procautions if he does continue doing this. Since he removed me from the list, I don't know if he's still doing it. I'd still hate for younger kids to come across him if he tries anything.
And yeah the second guy, I get people who harass me like that all the time online. I just added him on here because I was already making a forum account and thought I might as well put him on here, LOL.

The forums have an awful spell check but yeah, they do. It...kind of works....when it works. However for me it's broken. I remember years ago it was origanally broken for quite a while when I first came on but then it was fixed for a while and now it's broken again.

Dear God, I tried to erase him from my memory.
I know many things that have gone down in-game, mate, but amongst the darkest pits of it all, one of the worst has got to be harassers.
While I can't confirm the second person mentioned, I do have to agree with you on the situation involving Tommy. I had him on my mates' list for a while too. He seemed like a decent person.
Until he invited me to- you guessed it- his hideout.
Started to act weird too, which made me feel uncomfortable. Now, usually when I'm talking to mates, I like changing to my Snow Wraith clothing or other since being in Racing Armour does not make a conversation as laid-back as I want it to be.
I did the mistake of being in the same room as Tommyknocker.
And after that, I immediately deleted him from my friends' list. The way he behaved? Scarring.
Report all of this, evidence included, to the SoD team. Specifically, the support team.
I believe you, mate. Because I've gone through the same too.
This situation needs to be brought to the developers' attention immediately.
Oh my goodness. I'm so sorry you've encountered this person as well. There was bound to be someone else who had encountered this player, but I'm sorry it had to be you too. Thank you for at least sharing, now I definitely feel more confident in reporting him. My concern is, if he's been doing this for a long time, how is he still here? Feel free to private message me if you need someone to reach out to.
Like me and you, I'm sure there have been others. His type of people usually keeps on going to do so with countless people across the game. Unfortunately, not all of us have a Forum account to speak up, or we're just too scared to speak our minds.
I was too, I won't lie. While I've had these sorts of experiences in real life, it is disheartening to see this follow us when we're trying to escape reality. Harassment shouldn't exist in either place.
No need to feel worried about me, mate, since I've gone out of my way to take care of myself. I'm so glad someone finally spoke up about this situation, since I've known others who have gone through experiences like ours too.
A thing that's not in our favour? These people tend to change their names to avoid getting targeted. Although Tommyknocker's first name has been consistent, when I had this "accident" with him he was called Tommyknockerkingofhearts. So, it makes it much more difficult for the devs to target their account. Hopefully, they can see this soon.

I don't know how often he changes his name, but hopefully if we all agree on the fact that these incidents have happened with TommyKnocker (because honestly, I don't know if there's anybody else online named TommyKnocker), then hopefully the devs can at least look for that.

Normal adults don't just hit on people in a kids' game. This dude should have known the vast majority of players are minors. Seems like a nonce to me. If I were you I'd make screenshots next time something like this happens. Not to share publically, but at least you'll have your own evidence of what happened which you can pass on to the relevant people.
I'm pretty sure I reported him in-game. I told him that if I didn't report him, I'd block him instead to prevent him from reaching out to me. But I think after I left him I reported. Not sure if that would do a whole lot, but then again, hopefully today I'll get around to writing out that email for the mods. I have screenshots from the encounter with him, just need to organize them for the mods. But yeah, I decided that I won't post here since someone could have almost had a similar experience to mine, or much worse. And I don't want to brew up bad memories, so yeah, not best to post here, you're right.
Tommyknocker? Geez I remember him, used to be on my friends list a long time ago when his character was called well Tommyknocker. He seemed like a decent guy to talk to, never saw anything wrong with him. I guess I was lucky not to see it. But child predators can be good covering up what they are really like. Hypergoo mentioned in her post that having autism doesn't make you a pedo, which is absolutely correct. Sure there can be some links depending on what he was taught but it just seems he is playing the disability card to reason for his actions which is completely unacceptable. Especially when Em has shared her story about Tommyknocker as well.
I'm sorry to hear you experienced this as well Em and I'm really glad to see you come forward to share your experience. For some people, this can be really difficult to speak up about it. This is a very serious situation and the developers need to know about all of this as soon as possible.
As for the second harasser, just because he likes anime and not you as a person doesn't give him an excuse to say anything inappropriate to a stranger online, again not to mention in a kids game. If anyone makes you extremely uncomfortable, I would report them.

And I'm glad you've never had to encounter this horrible behavior from him online. It's not pretty, at all. And yeah, at this point we don't know what's really going on in his head. But from what it looks like, is that he does this pretty often and has probably been doing so for a long time. I would like to hope that he wasn't taught that, but even not being taught that and still thinking it's ok to do something like this, is totally sickening.
For the second guy, it was definitely weird to witness. Not gonna lie, little bit uncomfortable to watch the chat like that. Sounds like a troll, but still.

fill the space with your info such as your email and description of everything that happened and than send it to them,
after that all u have to do is wait for an email back!

Is there any other information that you would like to provide me with for the reply (Any other information for TommyKnocker, experience, chats, etc.)? Before they take action? I will mention that TommyKnocker does change his username quite often. I'll also try and provide more screenshots that may help. But is there anything else that I should tell them about? Please let me know.
I know that this thread is getting kind of old, but I'll give this thread about 24 hours before replying back to the mods. Thanks! Once again, we're in this together! :)
Oh, one more thing. If you'd like to share, but aren't comfortable posting it publicly on this thread, then please private message me. I won't judge! The more information, the better. Every little detail helps me and the mods, and I promise not to share that information with anybody else other than the mods if you're alright with that.
