Makayla

Makayla sat down at the Hermes tables. Maybe today would be the day where she would finally figure out who her godly parent was. A few other new campers such as herself had already found their godly parent. One of them was even a child of Hades! Makayla didn't know if she should be happy or sad to the girl. I mean, it was good that she found her parent but at the same time, she would be the only child of Hades here.

Makayla was off in dream land slowly poking her food when her eyes snapped over to the bag was had on her back. She smiled and pulled out a sketch pad and started drawing. She wasn't sure what this was. Perhaps it was an owl or possibly a fish. But now she could see it forming. She was drawing a brush of some sort. It had a sleek handle and fine bristles. Makayla looked down at her work. Man, if this thing we're real, it would be the coolest looking hairbrush ever.

By the time she finished up her drawing, other Hermes kids started taking their place at the table. Makayla quickly returned her drawing back into her bag and sat quickly waiting for the others to sat etude in their spots.

Finally after everyone settled and got their food, she stood up and walked over to the offering fireplace. She bent down and scraped some steak off of her plate and into the fire. At first nothing happened and she began to walk back to her spot but then she saw some light. She looked above her and saw a hammer. Makayla was a daughter of Hephaestus!

Quickly, other Hephaestus kids rushed over to her and brought her over to their table. Makayla smiled at them and took their nice welcomes but she couldn't help notice how big the rest of them were compared to a little weed like herself.

Matteo (Matt) Acerbi

Matteo held his plate in his hand, having just dumped a portion of the food sitting on it into the flames. He couldn't say he quite got the whole idea of the offerings but he did it without complaint, even thinking - praying? - a quick, Please accept my offering. to whoever was listening, if anyone happened to be doing so.
As Matteo walked back towards the Hermes' cabin's table he briefly thought back on all the events that had taken place in the short amount of time he had been at the camp. Everything was rather... interesting, to say the least, but Matteo was still confused about a lot of things.
The young man sat towards the end of the Hermes table, where the least amount of people were seated; though that didn't say much. Both the Hermes cabin and the table were constantly more crowded than the other cabins as Hermes' own children as well as those yet to be claimed by their godly parent stayed. Though he was obviously shocked when he first found out, Matteo was rather indifferent to the idea of having a god or goddess as his parent, and didn't much care who they were.
But though the Hermes cabin was nice and generous, Matteo soon knew he didn't much fit in with the rather loud and crowded cabin of mischief makers. And now, he thought as he was accidentally elbowed in the side by one of the Hermes kids as they squeezed in beside him and began chatting to the person next to them, he was starting to become rather eager for his own parent to claim him, if only if it meant that he might begin living in a cabin with a few less people.
Luckily, Matteo was already certain his godly parent was his mother, though which goddess, he hadn't the clue. When Matteo had first found out about the gods and goddesses, and how one of them was supposed to be his godly parent, he became sceptical about his own father being his birth father, but then soon realized that the mere thought was stupid. Matteo looked just like his father; olive colored skin, similar builds and facial structure. Even the way they walked and talked was similar, though their personalities were rather different and and Matteo didn't know where his eyes came from. Whereas his father's were a medium brown, Matteo's own were a deep green. He briefly considered the idea of his eyes coming from his mother but somewhat dismissed the idea. He didn't know how much the gods' and goddesses' own features factored into their childrens own, if they did at all.
Matteo, still slightly lost in his own thoughts, picked up his fork used the utensil to stab a piece of meat and bring it up to his mouth, chewing slowly and savoring the suprisingly good flavor.

~Zelenia~

~Zelenia~

Zelenia carried a trey of mutton for the offering. Zelenia then covered his mouth with his scruffy scarf. He then threw the mutton into the bonfire, and watched as the blazing orange flames grew more into more red-pinkish flames. Zelenia then watched as the flames dance and swirl. He then sighed and slowly walks away.

You can’t blame his loving father, for giving him a great childhood. No matter how hard Zelenia tried to convince his father to buy him his own motorcycle. He always deliberately fails. But that was not his mission, for now. His current objective is to find who his real mother was. Zelenia lived his whole life with his father, and with no need of a mother.

But, something tells him that he needs to be there, to know who he really is. Or even, what he is?

Zelenia then shuffled his jacket a little bit. He then saw the crescent symbol on top of a cabin. But, then he chose to ignore it. He shook his head and felt the dryness in his mouth. He once again shook his head. He looked up, and squinted. He saw the blazing sun slowly evaporating his eyes. He then stepped back, and felt the comfort at his heels.

Zelenia stumbled back, trying to retrieve his eyesight. Once he finally retrieved his eyesight he looked behind him and saw a tree, shading him from the sun. He then sighed and smiled. “That’s the stuff.” He told himself, as he leisured at his back. He sighed, and thought, how am I supposed to know who I am if I can’t even step out in the sun for less than twenty minutes.

He sighed again, thinking of another way. He then slammed his face with his palm, and looked at his jacket. “I’m such an idiot.” He reminded himself. He then tucked his head inside his hoo hideand closed the zipper. He stood up and continued his way around the campus.

Heather- Daughter Of Hekcate

((IM kinda confused. Navlyn Fury said that not everybody will be claimed on the same day. So, do I or do I not RP getting claimed?))

Heather was always used to seeing ghosts. Ever since she was a child she could see them floating around doing appration things. She always thought they were normal, but whenever she told her dad about them, he got all jittery. He even sent her away to counciling! And oh gods, Camp Halfblood was full of them. Most of the ghosts were half spectrals, they did not have the power to take a human shape. They also did not have the power to effect the mortal realm. As she recently learned, appirations seen on the mortal plain, somehow clawed their way out of the underworld. And apparently that was a thing. The Underworld. There also was apparently a three headed dog guarding the gates. Personally, that fact made Heather think of Fluffy from Harry Potter. If she had a pet three headed dog, she'd name it Fluffy.

Heather watched as vague shape shifted past her. The thing about seeing ghosts was that you have to learn to ignore them. Once a ghost knew you could see them they got... clingly.

A sharp pain in Heather's shoulder refouscused the girl on the event taking place. Heather shook her head and glanced over at Bandit. The Polecat curled back his lips and gave her a chattering sound before wrapping his elongated body around her neck. Bandit always knew when Heather got distracted and he would set her straight. Like most demigods, she had ADHD.

The Polecat curled back his lips and gave her a chattering sound before wrapping his elongated body around her neck. Bandit always knew when Heather got distracted and he would set her straight. Like most demigods, she had ADHD.

It was a long story but it ended with Heather watching kids throw perfectly good food into a fire. It's a shame really. She wasnt sure she 100% beleived that the gods existed. Heather's disturbing yellow gaze fell on the demigod in front of her. She watched as the girl tossed a nice looking piece of stake into the fire. Then the girl paused and waited. Nothing.

'Ha.' Heather thought. But as the girl turned to head back to her posistion at the Hermies table, a smoky image of a black two throne pitchfork appeared above her head. Heather did not know much about Greek god's symbolism but she knew from the girl's reaction that her godly parent must of bee scary. Of powerful. The girl's eyes widened as she stepped back.

Heather quickly grew bored of them and began playing with Bandit. The polecat, being an attetion hog squealed and scuttled up her shoulder. He placed his tiny back paws on the back of her neck and hoisted himself up into her long black head of hair. His tiny masked face peeked over Heather's head. Nose twitching.

Finally, it was Heather's turn. Heather grabbed her plate of food and marche dup to the flickering fire. She raised her eyebrow as she grabbed a chunck of fatty steak. Instantly Bandit scurried down her arm trying to get at the tasty meal. Usinging her other hand, Heather grasped the flailing polecat. She cringed as she tossed the meat into the fire. Then she waited. Nothing.

'Oh what a surprise!' Se thought bitterly then turned and confidently trotted back to the Hermies Cabin Table. But as soon as she sat down, mist gathered over her head, and rather begrudingly the mist formed into the shape of two torches blazing at a crossroad. Huh?

Heather got up, she had no idea what that meant. And how could mist form begrudingly? She sighed then felt someone staring at her. Both Heather and Bandit turned their heads to see the campers from cabin 20 staring at her. Heather looked at Bandit then sighed and headed over. She sat down. Most of them were actually Staring at Bandit. The Polecat clittered and ran the length of Hather's shoulders trying to look impressive. Heather simply sighed grouchily.

Her table was made of stone and covered in glowing words that faded in and out.

Calista

(Is it okay if we skip to a few days so Calista can be claimed? If so...)

Calista was getting tired of waiting. It's been a few days since her arrival, and a god or goddess has yet to claim her as their daughter. She kicked out her shoes and layed there for a while, waiting for dinnertime to come. It has been a few days since most all were claimed, and since the daugther of Hades was claimed. Calista hated that kid. Not by the way she acted, but by her presence. She could feel it the moment she neared the child of Hades. Her senses, which were usually unatrually sharp, were dankened around her. She could feel it now, even with the distance seperating the Hermes cabin and the Hades cabin. She seemed like an okay girl, nice, but she reeked of death.

Calista sucked in a sharp breath. It was dinner time. She might be claimed.

Calista sat down at the Hermes table, as far away from others as possible. She didn't like humans much. Prefered to be alone. But soon someone sat down next to her.

After dinner, after everyone finished eating and drinking, Calista hurried to the fire pit. She scraped the last of her pudding off the board and into the fire pit, and waited. She tied her hair into a ponytail while waiting, the fire pit's heat radiating. She was getting sweaty.

Just as she was about to give up, a torch suddenly appeared above her head. A goddess's symbol, who's name was -

No. Demeter?

She was a daughter of Demeter. She was expecting something else... she didn't even know why she was expecting something else. She loves plants, can smell them from miles away, smell when they bloomed or when they're going to hideor what they touched. Of course she's a daughter of Demeter.

She was happy with that. With a smile, she stood up as others escorted her to the Demeter cabin.

It had been several days since I had been claimed by Iris, and I was ecstatic at how well I had fit in with my cabin group. At first, they had all seemed shy- but after a few days of talking, I soon found they were all like me. Art. Everyone in my cabin liked art! It was almost too good to be true.

I sat next to one of the Iris girls, who I had learned was named Esther, and the only boy in the cabin, named Caleb, was sitting across from us. We had all finished eating early on, and I had taken out my sketchpad and magic paintbrush and started painting a sunset scene. I had quickly learned that not only could my magic paintbrush be used as an actual paintbrush, but also could transform into a long, bronze sword. Which was epic.

I looked up, seeing one of the still unclaimed girls that had been found along with myself and brought back. I watched as she put her food into the fireplace, and a few moments later, the symbol of Demeter appeared above her. I smiled to myself- I had gotten to know several of the Demeter people, all of whom seemed quite nice. This girl, at least, off of what I knew about her, would fit in well.

Being a demigod was pretty great.

However, it would all change soon...

((Will we be taking part in any upcoming events soon? I know CHB has a few every once in a while. :P))

((Whoops, wrong POV, but I'm too lazy to go an edit XD Whatevs))

Camp Half blood was terrible, well at least the Apollo cabin was. Due to my ability to manipulate light, especially sunlight they figured I was the child of Apollo and put me in that cabin. But my demeanor simply didn't fit, I wasn't much of a brave, perfering tactics, I wasn't a good archer, an excellent gunslinger yes, but not any good with a bow. and advocated caution and calculation. As such I did not get along well with the kids there. The other thing that isolated me was the spirits of tools that I carried with me. Including an old A6M Zero that followed me into the Camp.

The came the day of offerings, the first time I put my offering out nothing happened. The second time nothing happened, I was beginning to wonder exactly what was up.

It was only when I put my offering out at breakfast that a claim happened, a golden sun held up on the head of a bird with rainbow wings and a peacock's tail appeared above my head and it quickly faded. But I think I had an idea on what to do.

So on the last night of the claiming I synchronized my watch to KST and offered some rice in a bowl, without burning it, and sure enough the symbol appeared again but only briefly. Thankfully I was recording this moment on my GoPro and captured the symbol.

"It's not Apollo" I said "I have no idea who it is"

The symbol was clearly the mark of the sun that much was obvious but it wasn't Apollo's symbol. I saw three other demigods claimed by him today and none had that symbol.

A number of other solar deities came to my mind, but all of them were male and I did have a father. So that ruled them out.

"Chiron do you have any idea who that was?" I asked the centaur

"I do not" he said "But it's not Apollo, maybe you should transfer to the Hermes Cabim?" Chiron replied

"No way, in case you forgot I showed you my photokinesis just to get out of that place way too crowded." I cringed at the mention of the place

"Perhaps, given your affinity for tools and machines you could join the Hephaestus Cabin?" Chirn suggested

"I may have an affinity for it but nowhere near the level of a demigod, it's around the upper limit for humans though. My skill encompass all spheres all to high degrees, but the only special skill I have is photokinesis, the definite mark of a demigod." I said

"Is there a particular place you want to go?" Chiron asked

"The Athena Cabin" I replied "I often play games with them anyway, I don't think it'll be too hard to fit in. If the bird is a symbol I guess I could look it up. The brainpower in the Athena Cabin would certainly help."

"Very well we'll let you stay in the Athena Cabin until we sort this out" Chiron said

"Thank you" I replied with a slight bow before heading off to sit at the Athena Table.

Heather- Daughter Of Hekcate

,(I am so up for a game of Capture the flag)

One of the first things that Heather learned was that she was the daughter of a goddess named Hecate. The goddess of magic, necromancy and blah blah... Her cabin councilor was a girl who looked 20 give or take. Her name was Lou Ellen. And the first thing her "councilor" did was give Heather a breifing in how powerful she was. She could implant false memories, control the mist, teleport, hide locations, summon mistforms. She explained that the children of Hecate were the only demigods that could manipulate true magic. But, Heather could only acheive this power through hard work and study, that Hecate is censored her children and expects no slack. The cheesy stuff youd expect from a introduction.

Heather, wasn't really paying attention, she was more interested in the potions and spells, the feeling of magic in the air. Her cabin was made from an ancient rock, mysterious words and letters were engraved on its walls. A rumor has it that if just one rock fell from the cabin, everyone within a half a mile radius would turn into a pig. Expectedly, Lou Ellen put Heather to work idmediantly. Teaming her up with a girl named Layna. Everyone in the cabin seemed increasingly interested in Bandit, who was flourishing in all of the ATTETION he was receiving.

Cold clammy fingers grabbed Heather's hand causing her to jump and an explosion of sparks to go off nearby. Layna diddnt event flinch.

"Let's cut to the chase." She said passively. Heather blinked and instantly decided that she liked this girl. Not many people spoke so curtly, it was a welcomed change.

"We must start your training pronto," Layna continued. "A game of Capture The Flag is coming up and we want you trained and ready to fight." Capture the Flag sounded fun, especially if Heather got to beat someone up in the process. "Let's start with the basics." Layna stood up and half walked, half dragged Heather behind a veil of curtains. It was all she could do not to gasp at what Heather saw.

The slits allowed faint light to drift into the Surprisingly spacious room. Floating in the rays were particals of dust. A fancy sturdy looking table stood in the middle of the room as well as assortments of odd trinkets, like frog legs or bat livers. Heather could of sworn she saw a jar labeled 'pickled corn dogs.' There was a book shelf full of fat, mystical looking books, bound with a lock, the whole bit!

"Your powers are strongest at night and weakest at noon." Layna said as she removed a large dusty book from the shelf. "During a new moon or harvest moon your powers are at their peak. This is when you are able to summon mistforms which are the embodiment of illusions." Layna slammed the book onto the table causing a ploom of dust. "Capture the flag usually takes place at dusk, use that to your advantage." Heather looked around at all the magiks. A smile cracked her lips.

"An untrained mistrokensis like yourself, has no control over their powers. They react to your emotions as a self defense mechanism. You must learn to suppress your emotion and take control of the mist."

'Mist?'

As if Layna could read Heather's thoughts she paused the informed, "the mist acts as a veil, sealing the mortal realm from the magical. Ever wondered how no monsters ever appeared to you until recently? The mist is the reason. It's all around us and as Children of Hecate, we are especially sensetitive to it. We can manipulate it, change it." Layna curled her palm of her hands, fire sprang from her finger tips. Heather could see it, hear it, smell it.

"Touch it." Layna instructed then laughed at the funny look Heather gave her. "Just don't."

Shakily, Heather reached out and place a finger in the fire. Instantly, her mind triggered an reaction, she felt a sharp pain and a burning sensation, Heather's finger jerked back. She looked at her hand, but itnwas undamaged. Layna laughed again.

"Funny thing about the human mind. It can convince itself that something is real even though it isn't. So, when it expects something to happen, and it doesn't, the human body compensates by making it happen. Even if that means hurting itself."

(True fact BTw)

Layna closed her fingers and the fire illusion disappeared. "Now you try." Heather blinked.

"How?"

"It talks! I was beginning to think that you were mute. Just trust yourself. Feel the mist around you, use it."

Heather closed her eyes and extended her hand, palm up. Nothing happened.

"Don't think. Just do." Layna suggested. Heather's eyes closed tighter. She breathed in and relaxed, letting her body fall away into the void that was her mind. Suddenly, Heather was alert. She felt a presences, it was there all her life but she never recognized it fully until now. She felt the mist swirling around her, twisting and thrashing, wiggling.

Heather splayed out her hand and grasped the mist. She trapped it using her mind and commanded it to do something. Heather opened one eye and relished at what she saw. Bursting from the palm of her hand was a flame, it was so realistic, Heather could almost feel the heat rising from it.

,"Wow." Layna breathed, astonished. "On your first try. You have a talent..." And so, Heather spent the rest of the day training with Layna.

((WHEW! That was a LOT of typing. I doubt people will actually read any of it but... I DID RESEARCH!  So there!))

((I believe everyone has done their first post correct? If so... Let's do some Capture the Flag!!))

Nova bunked in lonely, quiet Cabin 13. Dropping her knapsack by her bed, she wandered around. Even though there were two windows on the wall beside her bed, the cabin was still mostly dark. There wasn't much to see in the cabin, except for the twin bunks and the two windows on the wall next to fight it. Besides that, it was void of any campers (excluding from here on). She sighed and sat down on the bed. She somehow felt energized in here, and yet still lonely. Kira was still bunking with Hermes's group until she was claimed, but so far she hadn't.

(Time skip to a few days after everyone, excluding Kira, have been claimed.)

The horn woke Nova up with a start. She had a book draped across her stomach and a trail of dried drool down her chin. Wiping it off with the back of her hand, she got up and got dressed. She aded for the dining area and sat down at her empty table. After everyone had dons thier food offering, Chiron began the announcements.

"In honor of our newest half bloods, a gamd of Capture the Flag will take place this afternoon. I suggest you find a team if you'd like to compete!" With that Chiron stepped down and everyone resumed eating, talking around mouthfuls of food as to who they were teaming with. Nova was interested, but she had no team. Or so she thought.

((The teams are: Hermes vs Hecate. This can go two ways: you can ask to join either team or they can invite you.

Those who've teamed with Hermes:

Athena

Hephaestus

Those who've teamed with Hecate:

Ares

Apollo

Those with no cabin roomies can decide which team they want join.))

Heather- Daughter Of Hekcate

((uh oh. Going up against Athena's cabin... Not goooooooooooooood))

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

Heather jerked up in her bed sending poor Bandit flying off the edge. The low warbling sound resounded through the thick walls of the cabin, nearly making it quiver.

'What. What that?'

"Breakfast! Everybody up!" Lou Ellen called. There weren't that many campers in Cabin Hecate. Just Layna, Lou Ellen, Herself and a boy Heather never even bothered to ask about. Bandit launched himself at Heather chattering distainfully. Heather rolled out of bed holding a struggling Bandit. She got changed then headed out for breakfast.

((I'm pausing here because, the campers do not have cabin tables for meals. Right? Just making sure. I will RP it that way, but if it is not so then I can change it. JUST DO NOT REPLY to this post. Thank you.))

Heather noticed an empty table with only a girl sitting at it. She walked over and SAT down, setting her food onto the table. Instantly Bandit leapt off her shoulder. The weasle went straight for Heather's healing plate of eggs, bacon and pancakes.

"Oh no you dont" she murmured under her breath and grabbed the polecat setting him down in her pouch. She closed the leather pouch, angry chattering sounds came from inside. Heather awkwardly began eating next to the girl. After a while she spoke.

"Hi."

Joy jumped at the sound of a bugle horn. Caleb was so started he dropped his copic markers off the bunk bed, and Esther jumped up so fast that the headphones she had wore around her neck clattered to the floor of the Iris cabin. Filled with glass prisms covered in rainbows, and several wind chimes and art materials spread across the room, the Iris cabin was pretty much exactly what Joy had dreamed of living in- messy, chaotic, and filled with color.

"That's breakfast," Caleb said, darting out the door, his curly black hair still ungroomed. Esther was close on his heels, and then the rest of them. All of whom had been dressed since the early morning, because apparently, the Iris cabin were early risers.

Joy was the last out the door, double-checking to make sure she had her sketchpad and magical paintbrush in the bag she always kept with her. Once satisfied, she made a mad dash for the dining area.

---

That morning, she sat with her cabin around the breakfast table, enormously enjoying a delicious meal of bacon, eggs, and pancakes. Joy kept stealing glances at the newest campers, along with herself, curious as to if she would ever get to meet them.

When the camp directors announced Capture the Flag, Joy looked at Caleb. "What's Capture the Flag?" she asked, mildly confused.

Caleb explained the rules of the game, and Joy's hand instinctively went to her bag, where her magic paintbrush was. Maybe that would help in some way? Who knew.

Esther spoke up. "Who are we allying ourselves with?" In response, the rest of the cabin shrugged. "We're a smaller cabin," Esther continued, "So we'll need to."

"I can try to make connections, if you want," Joy offered. "I'm good at that sort of thing."

"Great!" Esther beamed at her. "Then Joy is our official diplomat. I hope your convincingness is as good as your artistic skills."

Laughter murmured around the dining table.

Makayla

The bulge horn was sounded and Makayla jumped up in her bed right away. Almost everyone in her cabin was already up and making loads of noise. Some of the girls were over by a giant warlike weapon making putting some touches on it. Makayla walked over to them. "Why is everyone up so early today?" She asked.

The oldest girl there looked at Makayla like she was an idiot. "Today is capture the flag and we need to make sure everything is working. We're going up against the Hecete team and they all try to use they mist when ever possible. Making there flag the hardest to find. So we have to help our team by making some big weapons. So which leaves up to being up late and waking early. Is that enough?"

Makayla nodded. "But why do we need big war machines to play capture the flag? Don't we just capture the flag?"

The girl luaghed. "Oh, your going to have fun today. Go over and help Diego." She said pointing over to another group of people. She was guessing Diego was the kid with black curly hair. She began walking over to him but the girl gripped her shoulder. "My names Kasha by the way. Welcome to the family." She said.

"Thanks Kasha." She said before running over to Diego. He was working on something quite smaller by himself.

"Hello. I'm Makayla the new girl and Kasha told me to come help you. So is there anything I can help you with?"

Diego smiled at her. "Yeah. Can you grab my tool bag? It's sitting over there." He pointed to the corner. Makayla ran over quickly and brought back the bag. "Thanks but we need to get to breakfast. I'll walk you over there."

"Sure," Makayla said and her and Diego walked over to breakfast and sat down at the Hephaestus table and d ate breakfast.

Matteo (Matt) Acerbi -- Son of Nemesis

Matteo sighed under his breath before walking up to the bonfire and scraping off portion of his meal into the flames, repeating the action he had been doing over the course of the last few days. As he seemed to be one of the last new-comers to have yet to be claimed, Matteo guessed he was going to have to start getting used to the Hermes cabin and their antics if his godly parent didn't reveal themselves soon.
He stared into the flames as they engulfed his offering for a moment and was about to turn away to head back to the Hermes table when he noticed something had appeared over his head. Matt was a bit surprised, almost losing his grip on his fork and dopping it but his hand kept a tight grasp on it as he studied the symbol floating in the air above his head.
At first Matteo didn't know what the mark meant; he had seen many people claimed over the past few days but none had a symbol like the one that now hovered in the air above Matteo. The sign appeared to be a broken carriage wheel, but because of the one side having a chunk missing out of it Matteo couldn't help think it looked vaguely similar to the Pac-Man.
Suddenly the symbol seemed to be somewhat familiar and Matteo finally pinned down that he had seen the same mark over one of the cabin doors when he had been walking around the camp and examining the cabins a few days before.
He finally knew who his mother was.
Nemesis.
---
The cabin looked like any cabin, only one side was painted white, and the other side black. The interior of the cabin was painted the same colors, though they were reversed.
Once Matteo had stepped into the cabin, his green eyes scanned across the main room before coming to a rest as he studied a large set of scales sitting in the center of the room. At first Matteo had thought they were merely to symoblize Nemesis and how she was the goddess of balance, but he soon found out from one of the other Nemesis campers that when touched, the scales determined how much one has sinned and whether their soul is leaning more towards heading to Fields of Punishment or if towards Elysium when they died.
Matteo decided to not yet touch the scales; that was something he wanted to find out at a different time.
---
Matteo soon found out that every camper in Nemesis' cabin had their own room, once they went down the corridor behind the set of scales. Each wall had private rooms behind white doors with the occupant's name written on the white in contrasting black. But even without the privacy of their own rooms, Matteo noticed there weren't many sons and daughters of Nemesis. It was almost completely the opposite of the Hermes cabin where it was both crowded and had a lack of privacy. Not that Matteo was complaining about the sudden change.
One of Matteo's new siblings - though he still had to get his mind over the fact he now had brothers and sisters - told Matteo that there was going to be a game of capture the flag. There were two teams; Hermes vs. Hecate. Because the Nemesis cabin was so small, they were going to have to figure out which team to ally with. Hermes had the advantage of numbers, but depending on Hecate's choice of allies, they may be more apt to win.
Matteo didn't care. As long as the side the Nemesis cabin joined seems to have more of a chance of winning. He thought as he headed to breakfast, sitting down at the Nemesis cabin's table.

Calista

Oh no. Capture the Flag. Fellow cabin mates have told Calista about this fun little game they play. They tried to make sure she believed no one gets hurt. Yeah, right. As if. Calista is not an idoit. She could see the looks on their faces.

Calista groaned as she heard everyone chattering in excited voices about Capture the Flag. She barely even knew how to swing an axe. Much less make it through a whole game of Capture the Flag.

Calista had played Capture the Flag before, when she was litte. Only when she was playing, she played with toy guns, and the flag was a broom. Nothing like this - that was just kids playtime. This, on the other hand, it kill time. Okay, she thought, maybe that's a little dramatic, but "This is bruise time" fit it more.

She yawned. Even though she wanted little to do with any of this, she was curious to see who the Demeter cabin would be teaming up with. Slowly, she asked one of the girls next to her, a Demeter daughter, "Who will Demeter be teaming up with?"

The girl frowned. She didn't look much like a Capture the Flag type, so she probably hadn't thought about it. "I guess we don't know yet. I'll go ask." The girl stood up, hesitantly walking away, eyeing her food as if she's afraid it might run away while she's gone.

Calista sighed. She'd probably just camoflauge herself in plants, or mud. She knew enough about plants to be able to cover herself up with them. She knew which ones would stick, which ones will just fall off her body uselessly. She's always had a interest in plants. More than interest -- a love for plants. Now it was all explained.

((Guys, can the Demeter cabin match up with Hecate?))

Nova was about to take a bite

Nova was about to take a bite of food when a girl from the Hecate cabin came over. After a bit she said "Hi,"

"Oh! Uhm... Hello," Nova stammered. "You excited 'bout Capture the Flag?" she asked.

"You excited about capture the flag?" The girl next to Heather asked. Heather shrugged.

"Yeah. I'm Heather by the way. Hecate." She explained revealing Bandit. "This is Bandit." At his name, Bandit's nose like out of the corner of her satchel. Heather opened the flask and took the polecat at setting him on the table with a

'Be good.' glare.

Bandit cluttered and ambled over to the girl nuzzling her hands with his tiny masked face.

"So... erm.. Wanna ally?" Layna prompted Heathe rto ask at least one cabin to ally with them. Personally, she was never good at confirmtation.

Joy

Joy tied her caramel hair up behind her head and marched toward the training arena, where she knew at least one of the Hermes cabin members could be found. There were several camp members down there, either hanging on the outskirts of the arena and talking together, or relentlessly attacking training dummies. Joy spied one of the Hermes kids she had recognized from her stay at the cabin- Daniel, she remembered his name was- and walked up to him.

Daniel paused his training routine and looked over at Joy. "Hey, I remember you!" the redhead said. "You stayed in the Hermes cabin for a while, didn't you?" Then, he laughed. "What am I talking about? Everybody stays in the Hermes cabin for a while."

"True. Anyways, my cabin sent me to ask you something." After Joy finished, Daniel recalculated for a moment, a brief expression of concern crossing his face.

"You didn't find out about the traps we left in the Athena cabin, did you?"

"Um...no?"

"Or the-"

"No, that's not what I'm here for." Joy laughed at the relieved expression on his freckled face. "Iris wants to form an alliance with your team for Capture the Flag."

Daniel blinked. "Well, I'd have to ask the cabin leader..." he said slowly. "And he won't agree unless you can prove yourself to us in some way." He regarded Joy carefully, as if wondering what she had in her pockets. "Anything to share?"

Joy smiled innocently and waved at Caleb, who had been shadowing the outskirts of the arena, cleverly masking a large box that they had obtained in a collaborative effort. Caleb handed the concealed box to Joy, who handed it to Daniel. "24 pack of Mountain Dew," Joy said, her multicolored eyes sparkling with amusement. "Stolen by yours truly, the Iris cabin."

"You're in."

I talked with the other kids at the Athena Table and as usual got along with them pretty well. Tonight would obviously be a strategy meeting. At least dinner wasn't too bad there was rice. And after the meal was finished the entire cabin went to plan the strategy as the teams were announced.

I was a verteran of Capture the Flag, let it be known that the only time Hermes beat Athena in CTF was when I was leading them in battle.

((Back at the Athena Cabin))

"The Hermes Cabin wil probably set up traps again" I said before anyone else spoke up "The Ares Cabin will probably follow the 'If we don't know what we're doing the enemy sure as censored can't figure out!' approach. Hecate and iris wil most likely be the ones hiding the flag, their abiities adept at camoflage. Since we're partnered with the Hephaestus Cabin I recommend using their Local Positioning System."

"Apollo has limited precognition, do you have that ability too?" one of the Athena girls asked

"Don't know" I said "If I did I would probably be better in combat, if worst comes to worst I'll fight them. Lasers are faster than arrows."

"We can let Hephaestus defend the flag, they can create a fortress in a few minutes" another Athena said

"But Hecate and Iris could easily sneak by with their illusions" yet another said

"They can't use illusions against tripwires" I said "We use Black Widow's Gambit get Hephaestus to make the defence. Then we use Heaven's Fall for the offense."

That was enough for most of the Athena kids to understand,at least the seniors, I had been playing strategy games with them since I came to Half-Blood six months ago so they knew what it was.

"But how do we enact Heaven's Fall?"

((Further strategy will be PMed to Athena members if you are so inclined))

"The Art of War" almost everyone in the Athena Cabin had it, including me, and I had been reading it well into the night so the wake up call was not fun for me.

"How is a sun deity's child be a night owl?" I thought as I groggily woke up and looked around. Rather than eat the food that was provided I simply opened a rice cooker that I kept in the cabin. My stomach didn't handle bread in the mornings so i had rice, kimchi, as well as dried seaweed.

hmmmmm i forgot something. oh yeah. the subject

((I was thinking about that. I don't think I'll have Nova form an alliance, so she'll be watching (which then validates me to not play favorites) and then, after some epic gameplay, I will reveal the winner (so then we don't have everyone flocking to the winning team). The winner was decided by spinning a wheel on a random website I found after searching in "generators". Since there were only two choices, I spun it 4 times. One cabin was chosen 3 out of 4 times. That's all I'm saying about the winner right now and I hope this is fair to everyone.))

"So... Erm.... Wanna ally?"

"So... Erm.... Wanna ally?" Heather asked. Nova thought about it.

"I think I'll just watch this time," Nova said, dearly hoping she hadn't hurt Heather's feelings.

It was imperiative to get the Hephaestus Cabin on our side so I walked up to their table and asked one of the older girls.

"Do you want to ally?" I asked "It's certain to be beneficial for both our Cabins"

If she accepted that meant there would be only one cabin left that we needed to convince, Hermes. They would have the (illicit) resources needed for the operation. Anyone else was just manpower, of course that doesn't mean they would be assigned randomly, but if Iris or Hecate joined us it would make base defense a lot easier and Heaven's Fall much easier.

((Marg The Loony forgot this RP existed she should be posting shortly))

(Sorry I didn't do this sooner! I got busy and forgot to do it.)

I'd already been at Camp Half-Blood for a couple of days when it happened. I was having a normal day (as normal as you can get at Camp Half-Blood, that it). I'd practiced archery, tried to climb the rock wall, and fought with a guy from Hermes who took my toothbrush right as I was about to use it.

At dinner at sat with the Hermes cabin, since I hadn't been claimed yet, and when it was offering time I threw half my food into the fire.

"Please," I whispered to the fire, "Capture the flag is coming up and I want to be in my actual cabin for this."

I sat down with the Hermes cabin and started gobbling down my BBQ and poked the chic next to me.

"What?" she asked.

"Knock, knock," I said, trying to hold back laughter.

"Uhhh, who's there?"

"Ya."

"Ya who?" she asked, raising her eyebrow.

"Exactly!" I shouted, reaching into my pocket and throwing confetti at her. "Yahoo! I can't believe you didn't see that!"

The girl face palmed and then everyone started staring above me.

"Oh my gosh," I whispered and looked up. "I'm ATHENA! YES!!!"

I started hopping up and down until I remembered that there were people around me.

"Um, yeah," I said, blushing. "Cool."

After dinner I was taken to the Athena cabin. While heading there, though, I heard some people whispering about thinking for sure that I'd be a Hermes child. I found that slightly irritating.

When I entered the cabin my jaw almost dropped. It was amazing. There were books everywhere (books were the coolest thing since icebergs to me) and blueprints and scrolls and maps.

Oh, and there were beds, too, of course. But books.

I dived into the first book I could find and started reading.

I was somewhat aware of a guy coming in and talking to an older camper, but I didn't really pay attention until I heard the words Capture the flag.

"Now we need is Hermes to join us," he said. "Who wants to go?"

He looked hopefully at a girl a few beds down from me.

"Nope," she said, seeing him looking at her. "Last time I went, they stole my ring."

"I'll go!" I said, jumping off the bed I was sitting on.

I ran out the door before anyone could protest.

"Hey!" I shouted and ran up to an older Hermes camper. "We Athena kids would like you to team up with us. We think you're truly amazing and can do the job."

Heather was almost relieved when Nova declined her request. She could tell Layna that she tried. Heather nodded. Bandit made a clicking sound and nudged Nova's hand with his nose, asking for attention. Heather ate the rest of her breakfast in silence until she heard something.

Two of the campers were talking about teaming up, Athena and Hermes.

'oh crud.'

Heather knew that Athena was the goddess of wisdom and war strategy. Suddenly her chances of winning depleted. Sighing Heather picked up the last of her bacon and ate it.
