Assigning Pokemon types to httyd dragons
Yes yes i know, all of them are dragons,
and most of them can fly but it would still be fun to try assigning pokemon type onto the httyd dragons, ya know? Maybe saving dragon type and flying type for something that really really those.
For the way this thread will go, you can assign pokemon types to one species at a time. I will list it on the second post so you know which dragon has already been done. You can come back with another dragons after at least one person reply as to not hoging all the species. If someone disagree with someone's take. They can reply directly to their reply and start a discussion/ debate but please keep it civil please!
Also titan can be different type from the original form!
At first I thought it was the opposite, like pokemon going into the dragon classes XD but anyways
I think a Monsterous Nightmare would be Fire/normal type
Night fury : Dark/electric type
I shall join in ze fun! X3
Scauldren Normal/Water type.
Hmhm....
I'm thinking Hideous Zippleback should be Poison/Electric type.
OOOOOOOOH
Conundrum.
Should Screaming Deaths be Ground/Steel, since steel typing is generally given to Pokemon with hard-as-steel hides? (Since Screaming Deaths have the toughest scales of any dragon, if I recall correctly)
Or should they be Ground/Dark, for their aggressive natures?
Or.. should they be Ground/Dragon, since they're one of the biggest species of dragons? (I feel like Leviathan class dragons would fit getting Dragon typing.)
I think it should be either Ground/Dark or Ground/Dragon
Stormcutters? :3
I was thinking they're either Flying/Normal or Flying/Fighting.
According to wiki, there was a deleted scene where Cloudjumper could rip apart a war machine, plus I think they're generally great combat-type dragons
I think that Triple strike would be a pure fighting type
I have several other old drawings in this style, if you want to put the rest here!
Flightmare: Ghost/Flying (old drawing)
me and my friends put this idea into action qutie a while ago xD we have a whole list! wanna see?
Aha-
Rumblehorns are indisputably Bug/Fighting type.
Skrill : Electric/Flying type
Hmhm...
I feel like Death Songs should be Fairy/Psychic type, because of their dragon-hypnotizing songs and.. well.. fairy-esque pretty appearance.
((I do realize that Bug type might fit better than Fairy, but I'd argue that that typing could go to the Death Song's less colorful cousin, the Slithersong.))
for the snow wraith i think ice/ghost or ice/flying would work
Ice/Ghost would be cool! Fits the 'wraith' part of their name well x')
Singetail : Fire
(just pure fire, i didn't add flying cuz Singetails hate altitude, but maybe fighting could work too)
Ooh ooh
I think Sweet Deaths should be Bug/Ground, since they look like lil' grubs and they're known for burying themselves underground and generally being a burrowing species of dragon.
Then again, they could also be Ground/Poison since... they've got acidic spit. They also give off a sweet smell which is a trademark of some poison type pokemon. (I think Salazzle specifically is known for that? Though I also think there's a poison-type move that says something about producing a sweet smell, too. Then again, maybe I'm just remembering things wrong.)
Tide Glider : Water/Fairy
Thunderdrum : Water and.... Fighting? Normal? Electric? What do u guys think?
Pure water would be nice ^^
