Any other people getting this problem with images?
So, this is infuriating.
When I paste an image into the text box it sometimes resizes itself to fit horizontally into it. When it does that, I can't shorten it, only make it thinner, wider, or longer. This is the most ticked off I've been at this site in a while, and made worse that I'm trying to do an adoptable thread right now.
Admin, please do your job!
I don't get this at all. You mean you're trying to add an image to a post? Are your dimension ratios locked?
Also, not everything is the admins' fault. ;)
Are you talking about posting on the forum, right?
if I understand correctly, you are copy/pasting into the text box? I've not done that before. I use the insert pic button at the top. Paste the url to the pic, then you select the size you want it to appear, in pixels. You must make sure the teensy wheensey padlock icon is clicked shut though for both height and width to adjust evenly. Lately it hasn't been locked, if I remember, when I've posted stuff ...
sorry if if you know all this already!!
Soo, this will probably annoy you, sorry. But I'm more afraid of messing up you adoption thread cuz I didn't understand it ....
If possible, could I reserve the blue and gold egg?
Okay, give me a little bit and I'll try to get some screen shots up of what I mean, then we'll see if we are doing the same thing.
OKAY, let's see if this is helpful ...
1) Copy the URL to the image from your file hosting/storage site. I am using Photobucket. I use the "direct" link, rather than the "forum" link.
2) Click this button once you open your post dialogue:
3) Paste your link into the URL box:
4)Change the "width" box to what you want it to be. As long as that little padlock icon is closed, the "height" will be resized accordingly.
5) Then this shows up on the post:
I hope this is helpful. If not for you, maybe someone else. I guess the next big question is: what device are you using, your iPad or something else? I did the screen shots from my iPhone. This actual post was easiest to cobble together on my laptop.
